Someone reminded me of this newish gallery that I had heard about but hadn't been to yet. Thank goodness for this place! They have art and crafts made by local Southeast Asian artists that you can buy in the spot. I bought some lovely drawings by Tori Hong for just $30 each. They also have a good stationary selection. I got some thank you cards that say "thank you" in Hmong! I saw aprons with Hmong designs, cute pillows, stickers, mug coasters and more. The space felt airy like a gallery and the folks running the store were super friendly. Do you need gifts for friends, family, or coworkers? The pottery is grouped by artist, which made it easy to limit my browsing to only the styles I liked. I will note that (at least on the day I visited) they very heavily feature artists whose style is natural and rustic, which isn't bad, but for the prices they charge I was looking for something more sophisticated. I know all pottery takes a lot of work, but I'm not going to spend $80 on a misshapen mug. The items do focus pretty heavily on dishes and cups/mugs, which made gift shopping a little difficult, since I wasn't about to buy a surprise dinnerware set for someone. The person manning the front desk was very helpful and brought out more pieces from the back room of artists I liked. She was also able to share with me which pieces were and were not dishwasher safe. I left with a good selection of gifts and would definitely come back again.

I drove by this consignment store a few times and a pottery-barn-style caramel armchair in the…read morewindow display caught my eye. When I finally went in, I was surprised to see that this consignment store specialized in fine furniture. Three employees in the front area were dressed professionally and I got the impression that they had trained eyes for furniture design and quality. I didn't see furniture that fit my style. This store offers large ornate & formal dining furniture (traditional / English / old-style hotels / tea rooms) and desks, sofas, hutches, lamps, accent pieces, etc. Prices seemed to range from $250 - $1000. For example, price tags on lamps were around $250 and dining tables were around $1000. These are great prices considering the pieces being sold. I saw a lamp I liked -- it looked like it was salvaged from a lighthouse and restored to near-perfect condition. I took a peek at the armchair in the window and it was only $265! The condition of the armchair was 'like new' except for a few scratches on the legs. If you're looking for country / contemporary / chic furniture styles, you won't get much from a visit to this store. But if you're looking for traditional & formal furniture, this store is for you. Note: there was a sign that said a 3% charge would apply to credit card purchases. --- P.S. I am giving this store 4 stars because of the wide selection, prices, & level of professionalism despite having little interest in the furniture styles that this store specializes in.

Steer clear at all costs unless you want to feel bad about yourself the rest of the day. And never take a child, even if you are a single parent and have no care coverage options. They must train their employees to assume the worst in people.

This a wonderful local neighborhood art gallery! It's a beautiful space that is full of windows…read moreletting in so much bright light. This place features local artists who create unique, creative, special and important pieces of art. They are often open for the community to come view the current display, and never charge a fee. There are also individual art spaces that people rent to create their work. I have met a few artists who were there working while I was viewing some paintings. It's also a space where people gather for writing workshops, tai chi and other events. Outside there is street parking right out front, and places to lock up your bike. There is also a tiny library stand, where you can borrow a book. Take one and leave one for someone else to read. Enjoy this gallery monthly for a different experience each time.
