Ok. A friend of a friend had a opening night photo exhibit here so I made this page, made a Yelp…read moreevent, all in the hopes of getting people to the show because the photos were that cool. And now a review of the space, because like the photos, this place is that cool and now, I have a better understanding of what it's all about, sort of. So the place has been open for about 5.5 months. A warm inviting storefront with the inside filled with local artist inspirations. Prices range from the Wow! That will look kick ass in my place (for the most frugal shopper) to Wow! That will look kick ass in my place! (for the person with some deep, pockets). Everything that's sold are one-of-a-kind pieces and are quite amazing. From paper mache' sculptures (definitely worth checking out) , New Zealand reclaimed wood tables, low temp fired ceramics, paintings with prices all over the spectrum and of course, photography and more. The cool thing though is that with the gallery owner, Nance, has space in the back which could be used for other events besides showings. Not big events, but smaller ones and obviously you would need to talk to her about what your trying to do but she came off as pretty cool and open to ideas. Nance has history of doing things in the city around the arts scene and if you've been to Macy's for their holiday display, you've seen her work. This part of West 7th (3-4 block area?) is really starting to pop and one could park in the middle and walk around, eat, drink, and shop their way to the different businesses and this place, is definitely worth a stop.

This is a gem of a place. Eclectic and filled with a mix of vintage clothing/scarfs/purse/shoe…read morefinds, whimsical art, handmade jewelry, paintings, sculptures, great photographs- all which are local artist and you can take things home for a price. I stopped to check out a show that displayed a local photographers work (Gorgeous stuff filled with depth and emotion!) The store has a stunning back room with tall painted ceilings that was perfect for an artist debut.

Loved this place, as the humorous items were awesome. Bought a great card, and a wonderful pair of socks that celebrated Prince. Pricing is good, and the setting is excellent.

However, today when I went.. not such an amazing experience. I got there around 615 (they close at 7) thinking thats enough time and not too close to the closing time.. wrong. I'm roaming around taking my time and I end up in a part of the store where they are vacuuming and two employees are basically yelling at eachother. Then another employee comes up and yells saying that they can't lock the back door and to go unlock it IMMEDIATELY. Weird vibes and I was just feeling... not chill or relaxed. Then I'm ready to check out and I'm waiting a solid 5-10 minutes while one of the three employees does a return for a customer. I ended up not purchasing anything cause the coupon I had didnt apply to my items because they were final sale items (thats fine I didnt read the fine print, my fault). Again. The store itself is lovely and has a lot of cool fun things but the experience due to those working there was not my typical happy fun experience.

Visiting from Hawaii!…read more This gift shop is a must for anyone visiting Minnesota! They have a great selection to choose from. You're bound to find something for everyone back home. Magnets, chocolates, photo frames, post cards, cards, puzzles, clothing, tumblers.... The list goes on. Minneso-tah.... I'm gonna give you guys a high five on the Spam merchandise! That just made me feel a little bit at home. Thank you for having that here hehe. It was a pleasant surprise. If you read this, treat yourself to a spam musubi. You'll love it. I bought a bunch of awesome things here! It was hard for me to let go of the things I bought and give them to family and friends. I wanted so desperately to keep everything for myself! So many cute and cool things! Maybe I'll pretend I didn't buy any souvenirs for anyone and hide them in my closet... Mwahaha Btw we loved the employee who helped us that day. Young, tall, handsome gentleman with curly hair. He was sweet and helpful! I learned a new life lesson: When in MN, do not refer to casserole as casserole. It's hotdish!

From getting some chili mix and Minnesota wild rice soup mix for my parents to a t-shirt for my nephew and a glazed coffee mug for my grandma. Have to come back for other gifts and just see what they have new in stock.
