I really like stores like this because they offer a wide variety of items. Kind of like Patina / General store vibes. The store was packed with novelty items, clothes, kids stuff, decor and more. Some parts of the store felt more crowded than other parts. The prices of many items were a bit high but I'm sure it's on par the clientele of the area. They do have a rewards program that's free to sign up for. We stopped in during Grand Old Days but parking is street, and this area is usually busy. read more

I have been here before multiple times and have really enjoyed my experience in the past because its fun to roam around and look at all of the amazing items! However, today when I went.. not such an amazing experience. I got there around 615 (they close at 7) thinking thats enough time and not too close to the closing time.. wrong. I'm roaming around taking my time and I end up in a part of the store where they are vacuuming and two employees are basically yelling at eachother. Then another employee comes up and yells saying that they can't lock the back door and to go unlock it IMMEDIATELY. Weird vibes and I was just feeling... not chill or relaxed. Then I'm ready to check out and I'm waiting a solid 5-10 minutes while one of the three employees does a return for a customer. I ended up not purchasing anything cause the coupon I had didnt apply to my items because they were final sale items (thats fine I didnt read the fine print, my fault). Again. The store itself is lovely and has a lot of cool fun things but the experience due to those working there was not my typical happy fun experience. read more

Super cute shop I stumbled upon while in the area. First the staff was very friendly. Right when I walked in I was greeted and other staff was helpful through the store. I love that I don't have to go to WBL anymore. It's right in my hood and they are expanding. I don't come here a lot cause I'd always be spending $100 bucks here and there. But I'm on the birthday list with a $10 off coupon. Hell, most restaurants only give you 5.They have a lot of sale areas. I managed to get a beautiful sleeveless blouse for 50% off. It is orange and actually seasonal, but most things are winter. I got a funny birthday card for my cousin. Loads of a variety of cards. One whole rack is just for Mother's Day. I got a nice kitchen drain rack on sale, black for my themed kitchen. A pair of nice thin socks that say I'm overthinking. The others have swear words. Another sale item was a grapefruit air freshener. All this was placed in a huge Good Things bag. I love the staff and I spoke with the manager to throw in my 2 cents about what could be done with the new expansion of the old Wuolettes space. I suggested more kids items. I'd be happy if they picked up the 2 stores from there. Can't wait to see the finished product. I'll also be at the Gourmet Sampling Event May 1 from 4-8. Such a great gift shop! They have an excellent variety of gifts that are beautifully categorized. There is a good selection of local items as well! I always end up leaving with something, even if I don't mean to. The prices are varied as well, there is something for every budget. I love shops like this where you can find a variety of curated, local, and artisan items, but when I was there, the lady followed me and my child around in such an obvious way that I began to feel both uncomfortable and annoyed. I am a person of color so I couldn't help but feel she targeted me over the older Caucasian women also shopping who I didn't see being followed. I used to make this a stop on my Grand Ave walk on the chance that I found an irresistible thing I just had to buy, but now I avoid it for fear of being treated that way again. My husband will joke to me "Feel like getting profiled?" whenever we walk past it now. I can laugh now, but at the time it was upsetting. read more

First of all, this is the best place to take out of towners. Just open the door and let them loose! I found the perfect combo if "said friends/family" have kids. Husbands take the kids to Creative Kidstuff while girls shop Bibelot. Bibelot has it all. Knick knacks, gag gifts, soul-full gifts, toys, clothing, jewelry etc. My stapes here are Christmas ornaments every year, Advent calendars, greeting cards, baby gifts. I could go on and on. A great little gift store on grand avenue in St. Paul with a wide variety of clever gift items. I find myself making the trek from the west side at least once a year, usually for the holidays, and always find a few clever stocking stuffers and small gifts for family and friends. The also sell hand made jewelry and women's clothing along with toys, and hundreds of carefully chosen items in a wide variety of prices. You can easily spend 30 minutes or more browsing the collection as it is a bit of a treasure hunt with the large amount of items displayed in little clusters of shelves around the modest sized store. Parking on the street can be tight but if you are a bit patient, you can find a spot. read more

I was in this store today. I was not greeted. There two groups of women that work there gossiping. One larger group was talking near the register about a bad google review the store received and one voiced how she told the management several times suggestions how to run the store but they didn't listen. The other group was only two women. These two were gossiping about store management in a very negative way. They were both very adjutated I was in their gossip space. They started talking quieter but still loud enough to hear and kept looking at me. Didn't bother to stop gossiping. I'm sure they wanted me out of their space. But I had things I wanted to look at and I was not moving them to appease them. Even though they were not happy with my presence. Once I found my way around the store I was approached numerous times and was sure they thought I was stealing. Now they want to talk rather than when I walked in. Cute store but the environment was so negative and did not like being watched with them thinking I'm stealing so I will not go back. My money spends well other places where I don't feel like I'm in a junior high girls locker room with all the gossip and being watched and followed like I am in America's Top Thieves. People shop elsewhere, where staff are respectful. read more

I usually go to the Bibelot on Como Ave in St. Anthony Park, but I really like the location on Grand. It is one level instead of two and the staff are very friendly. I went to Good Things on Grand to get a baby gift. The selection was small, but the items were nice. A little pricey, but good quality. I am giving only 3 stars because after spending over $100, I was told they could not gift wrap the item. They have a gift wrapping station right there at the check out and the store was not busy. But I was told they could only give me the box, but not actually wrap it up. I expect better customer service at this price point. read more

Cute little shop located on Grand Ave... Starbucks is right down the street if your looking to grab a cup of Joe before heading in. This shop carries all sorts of specialty gifts and unique trinkets. This shop updates their decor pretty regularly, so you don't see all the same items all year. They carry gifts and accessories from Anne Taintor... I'm a fan of their line of small products. It is fun to visit around Christmastime, they always seem to carry really cool and interesting gift wrap... Not something you'll find at Target. Their staff is very friendly, and the store always seems to be busy. If you are in the area, you should for sure check it out! read more

This is the first time I have written a Yelp review. We had such a bad experience at Bibeot on Grand that I felt compelled to write this. We used to love going here, as our children went to school close by. Today were were treated very rudely. My eldest child (16) and I stopped in to get a few Father's Day cards and some kitchen items. We went to pay and were told to wait, which we did. I smiled and said we weren't in a rush. Then we were told to go to another register. We went to another register and were told she was helping a customer and she couldn't help us (I get it, but we not customers as well?). We went to the final register and waited as the customer ahead of us was rung up. By then, I reached my limit that we put back the items we had intended to purchase. There were three or more staff and maybe as many customers, so there didn't seem to be any excuse. We were patient and kind and well in return were treated like optional customers. I've worked retail and still have family who do. A little kindness goes a long way. We will spend our money elsewhere. read more
