And if you ever want a Tiffany style stain glass lamp, this is the place to go. They were EVERYWHERE. On almost every piece of furniture. And believe me, there was a lot of furniture. Not only did they have stained glass lamps, but stained glass decorative pieces that you could hang in your window. There were quite a few of those, too. The furniture is all rich, dark stained wood pieces. At first blush, they all looked very well made, but I didn't investigate them very thoroughly. I was just walking through. The back quarter of the warehouse-type store was all Persian-type rugs. All sizes and shapes and lots of them. If ever you were looking for a rug, this might be a good place to look for selection. The store is right off Hwy 280 next to the ApplianceSmart. Take the Como Ave exit to get to it. When I was there just last week, they had a 40% off sale everything in the store. From what I hear, this is a common occurrence. If you're looking for a Tiffany lamp, or an unusual piece of furniture, come here and browse a little. You should find something you like.

First lets talk about location...its pretty great, not too far off Hwy 100 and Excelsior…read more There are plenty of other stores in the area, but they have their own parking lot so you don't have to try to scavenge for street parking. I came in specifically to look at Joybird sofas as they are an authorized retailer and have sofas on the sales floor. Its scary to make an online purchase (and such a large, custom purchase) without touching and feeling an item, so I was thrilled to learn this store was so close to home and had what I was looking to purchase. I had a great time working with Kristin. After countless emails and a couple visits to the store I ordered my sofa, and also ended up with a chair and lamp. Kristin was great to offer her designer opinion while listening to mine and helping me make the big decision based on my existing home design. They offer financing (OAC) and 'white glove' delivery (they take all the packaging stuff with them when they leave, set the item in the room of your choosing) just like Joybird, but they will for other items you purchase there, too. The kicker is the 2 week in home trial period. Keep it for two weeks and if you decide you hate it they will take it back to the store and offer you store credit to replace the item. This really eased my worry about spending 2K on a sofa I may not like as much in person. I can't wait until it arrives! They also have home decor items here, like pillows and lamps. Its a super fun place to just look around and get inspiration, or fall in love with a custom fox lamp which would totally look amazing on your nightstand. Or maybe that fun mounted anatomical model of a heart on your desk. Or maybe that chair with acrylic arms. You get the idea... Inventory is changing constantly, so visit often. See you there!

I immediately knew I was going to be at home in this store. There was furniture and accessories, for you neutral people there was plenty of that. For those of us who like color, plenty of that too. My designer Billie was super sweet and let me browse but also let me know that anything can be custom ordered and that this is just a small sampling of what they can get for me. I wasn't sure if I could afford it so I had her price out a chair for me it was $1100 but they had a 20% off sale so it would be $880. I'm new to furniture shopshopping so I went to another store later (La-Z-Boy) and it was comparable to that. I walked in at 20 minutes to closing on a Sunday night, but Billie didn't seem rushed at all. I was the one saying "let's just wrap this up. Can you give me something to look at online?" And she gave me two websites she thought I would like based on our conversations and looking at what they have to offer. I will see where our furniture shopping journey takes me but I plan to be back!

Lots of free parking options nearby & in a convenient location in St Paul. Immediately as I was walking in I fell in love with the colors, selection of goods to search through, and textures everywhere. It's not overwhelming, but it seems like everywhere you look there's more to see. It also smells great in the store! Sometimes when I go to curated vintage stores they're a little out of my budget, but The Mustache Cat really had something for everyone and all price ranges. For example, there was a really sweet almost neon orange retro mushroom lamp for about $130, and across the room there was a cozy vintage ceramic soup bowl for $12. I loved Rebecca's curated selections, and she was kind, inviting, and helpful. Worth noting is that it can be easy in the space to accidentally bump into things. A couple items took a little tumble while I was there (gasp!!!! Always a scary moment) and it was met with the kind assurance, "we are not a museum, it's ok!" So nice! One of the unique things about The Mustache Cat is that the inventory is either thrifted and curated by Rebecca or is created by women makers. She had a corporate job before opening TMC and this is her big dream. I can tell looking around that she's passionate about her business and loves what she does. Great spot for decor, paper goods, candles, and more. Lovely place to find gifts for yourself or someone else! And the stock is ever changing so there's always a reason to come back ;)

The last six years we have spent more time in Florida and I had not been in a Patina store all that time. Yes, it is beautiful colorful fun and everything is displayed so perfectly. But the price points have SOARED and the uniqueness/quirkiness/extra special FUN has dropped considerably. The cards are lovely but not outstanding. Text is minimal. The entire store is more monochromatic in terms of product designs/ concepts/unique creativity. The buyers are good but not excitingly wonderful anymore. There was no service at the St Paul Highland store. A tall gentleman was aloof, just "there" to check out... Sad.
