We had a lot going on so we needed a company that could completely pack and move us with as little hassle as possible. They came to our old place and reviewed and inventoried every item. We have a lot of art and a particularly unique glass table. They gave us a quote that was significantly higher than any of the other movers, but we chose them for several reasons. 1. The actually came out to understand what they were moving 2. They explained how they would handle the art and glass table 3. They stated that all their workers we salaried employees with no day laborers 4. It turned out that the guy who came out had gone to school with my daughter so we made a nice connection The day before the move they came out and did all the packing. We were impressed by the efficiency of the team, their speed and their unity. The day of the move they showed up on time and got to work. Again very efficient and effective. They packed everything in about 3 hours. We we got to the new place they again were super efficient. Even though I paid a ton of money, I ended up giving each mover a $20 tip. According to them, although they are employed by the company they don't get a ton of benefits and they wish they got higher wages. Still the fact that most of them had been with the company several years and that the got along well tells me they were being treated well. As we unpack we are finding out just how much paper they used to pack everything. This meant that nothing broke, but it also means I have a landfill worth of paper to throw away (recycle). Bottom line was that it was a great experience. The reason I did not give them the 5 stars is cost. Ultimately I don't regret it and will definitely come back to them for any future moves, but hopefully I will be able to negotiate a little better in the future.

A couple of folks have remarked about the customer service; I don't know if they've had a change of staff but everyone I interacted with was extremely helpful and polite. When I purchased boxes, Rose helped me load them into the car. The security is thorough: you need to punch in a code specific to you to enter the gate, and then again to enter the building. My *only* complaint is that you don't have 24/7 access to the building - it's open every single day, but the gates shut for good at 9 pm. For those of us that are night owl packers, that's kind of a bummer.

This was definitely a tough move as we moved from a studio to a 4-story row home, however, they charged me about 3x more than what they originally quoted me for without giving me any forewarning. On top of that, they damaged multiple items (flat screen TV which no. longer works, dressers, room divider, lamp, shoe rack, wood floors, walls). I should have known better when they didn't even bring a dolly or straps to move our heavy items. They stopped responding to my text messages once they were paid. They are VERY quick to call you with a low quote and just as quick to not refund you. They seem kind but are not professionals.

The delivery driver had 7 pages of exceptions, items which he inspected prior to loading on his truck that were damaged. He said 2 pages was normal. Boxes were crushed and punctured. Furniture was broken and scratched. When we got the claim response they offered $172 after our $500 deductible and claimed that since we did the packing it was our fault. I worked at a moving company as a summer job so it's not like I haven't seen things done the right way. It doesn't matter how you pack a box if it is crushed and punctured....oh and it had glass written on two sides of the box. Stay away.

That never happened and when I finally did get ahold of someone after the 2 months, they answered, acted like they couldn't speak English, and blocked me! The main reason I hired movers in the first place was to move this table and the matching couch table because they're very heavy! They didn't listen when I told them that they needed to move them first, so after moving the couch, loveseat, recliner, and matching table, theiy were hot and tired! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! My movers were supposed to arrive between 12-2pm (with the coordinator I spoke to saying it would most likely be 12), but they did not arrive until after 4pm. They were nice guys; but they didn't handle my stuff with care. I have nicks and a huge new scratch on my dresser -- I should've seen the red flag when they didn't wrap it (I've moved this dresser many times before and movers have always wrapped it) but just wanted to get the move over with. This dresser has stayed in perfect condition for several years and several moves, so I'm a bit heartbroken. I also have a hugeeeeee rip on my mattress (picture also attached). I'm unsure of how this will impact support and may have to buy an entirely new one. Throughout the process, I just felt very uneasy about how they were handling my stuff. They broke another one of items as well as a hallway light in my new apartment. I don't know if I have any recourse here because I noticed these things after they left, and don't have any before pictures. Mr. Hedgepeth was super nice and gave me a few pricing options. I settled on something that was in my budget. For the first move they arrived on time and were finished fairly quickly! The second move was about a mile down the road into my house. Prior to the move, Mr. Hedgepeth came to my home ( wearing a mask and social distancing) to give me an estimate for the move and we were able to schedule the move. He will text but calls for the major details, which is very professional. The day of the move, him and his team arrived on time and worked pretty fast to get everything loaded into his truck. They have furniture covers for the highly breakable items. They also put the large items (beds, dressers, tables) together if needed. Hopefully I won't be moving again anytime soon, but if I needed a moving company , they are the first to be called!

I have to be honest, I really wanted to give this company a fair shot. Years ago I worked for the…read morebest moving company in the area (A-One Moving), I have vast amounts of knowledge about moving. To begin, Ed and his wife are very nice people, all of which I had as an opinion prior to conducting business. I was given a quote of $600 when Ed and his wife first came to my house. The second time, seeing as I'd need to keep my belongings on Ed's truck overnight, the estimate went up to $700. No problem and we set up the move for a Thursday initially 9am. The day prior to the move Ed called to inform me he had to push the time back to 11am. The next day I rented a Spinter Van and loaded with miscellaneous items from my house while I waited. Ed and his crew arrived at 5:40pm! Yes 6 hours past the plan start time. I had to call them twice for updates, I wasn't called until they were 10 minutes away. Upon arrival, Ed asked me "How was I going to take care of them?" I wasn't sure what he meant and with a confused look, Ed made the money gesture with his hand. I told him like any other service he'd be paid at the end of the job. Ed the stated that he needed half to take care of his guys. The next day, around 1pm I was called by Ed to see if 3pm was still good. The original plan was for me to call Ed after my 2:30pm settlement however I was told he needed his truck back. I then rushed to rent a storage unit so I wasn't an inconvenience to Ed's other job. The unit was ready at 2:30pm, I called Ed to inform him of that information and he said he'd be there at 3pm. A good friend of mine sat and waited an hour and a half for Ed to finally show up at around 4:30pm. I had hoped while I was at settlement they would've been done unloading so I could unload the Sprinter Van. Unfortunately I got there shortly after they did and my good friend and I helped them unload into the storage unit. Knowing I had to load items from my van into storage, no space was left at the end and I had to rent another storage unit. I didn't think it would all fit but I had hoped. In the end, everything from Ed's truck didn't fit in the unit as planned and assured by Ed. I approached Ed and ask for a price adjustment since was quoted $700 for the entire move and I had moved 30/40% by myself while waiting for Ed and his crew to arrive. Ed took off $100 and that was to not be discussed further and I was told "normally the price is the price." I thought to myself "I hope normally, you're on time and professIona!" I didn't say that but paid him without tip and went on to move the stuff out of the van. I really didn't want to write this review because I know my experience isn't going to be the same as everyone else's. However, I chose to write this to give feedback for the company as well as potential customers. With this information hopefully the company will make an adjustment and if customers decide to move forward here's a possibility to consider. Thanks! Wayne
