I have been a customer at Security Public Storage on Pulaski Hwy for over 10 years. I wanted to write a review so others know where to go for Storage needs! I have 2 units that are billed on different days of the month! Needless to say I fell behind on payments and can not express the need to save my historical items! I was contacted by the management team ( Lee, John, Kim) They were so good to me on arrangements to pay and SAVE my unit which totally fell off my map! I can't say other facilities would do this. The prices can't be beat, customer service is the best, very pleasant. Always clean, no debris laying around.

I would not recommend this storage facility to any persons. I went into the store to rent a van. I asked how much the insurance will be?. I was told if would be $14.00. When I returned the van I was charged $25. Be sure to ask them to print out your final bill, be sure to check for over charges. So I had to call the corporate office to get a refund back. They are nice when you come to rent a truck however, when you return the truck they can be very, very nasty. I told them that I was going to give them one star, for trying to get over me. read more

This place is PHENOMENAL they are friendly, helpful, and understanding. I was moving from New York to Baltimore they helped me determine what unit to get within my price point, last minute I needed a larger unit they were beyond flexible and helpful. Security public storage single handedly made my move a little less stressful, they were they only part of the move that was reliable, professional, & personable! The unit is secure-- the gate with a code specific for us, facility is clean, well lit, accessible for cars, trucks, dollies, etc. The check in process included light snacks, a tour, and all the paperwork only took 10 minutes of which you are given copies. This storage facility is surprising. I needed to store a few belongings for a short term as I prepared to move. The management was friendly, and the price was right, sure, but the best feature is the fact it's a drive-thru facility. When I recently went to pick up my stuff while moving out, it was raining. I was able to drive right in and get out of the rain. So convenient! The neighborhood may be iffy, but you're making the right choice if you need storage in Balto. read more

We have stored items here for several years and recently have noticed the decline of the facility. The building interior needs to be swept out. The mousetraps lining the walls are a little disconcerting but at least they are acknowledging a problem. There are 2 rollup doors to enter the building and exit the building. The exit has been broken for a couple of months. The one thing that they do really well is debit your account for the continuing escalating rent. read more

If you ask me, a lot of the reviews for this place are fake - who gets so excited and positive about a storage place? I'm sending this review for the woman who answered the phone on Sunday, 1/7/18. Their sign on the front door (and Google maps) indicates that they're open Sundays 10-4 p.m. I arrived to buy boxes and everything was locked up and closed, with a sign saying "We are on site, please call 410-276-3300 so we may assist you." The woman just kept referring me to 1-800-UHAUL and I said "I'm a customer here in front of your store to buy boxes and your sign says you're open but you're not." and she kept repeating she didn't have a truck to rent to me and acting as if she didn't understand me. If you have hours posted, keep to them; otherwise, change your signage and inform on-line companies. I drove way out of my way here to find it closed. read more

Best thing is that the storage is on the inside. Most of the people who work there are not professional. I'm not sure if they often engage with a certain type of people and that's how they normally communicate, but it is not professional at all. I have had storage at this place for a while. The people who worked there when I first got the storage were very nice and had great customer service. But now, just avoid talking to whoever is in that office if you can. The next thing would be the late fee. Sometimes it will be applied on time and sometimes it will not. So just make sure you pay on time. read more

Managers explained all charges up front and were able to give a discount for a pole in the unit. Good communication. My only gripe is that they said that they would clean out the unit before I moved in, but it was pretty dusty. read more

Yes I am a fan of Security Public Storage. I went through some bumps at first. But I noticed whenever I gave a call into the office to correct the problem it was promptly taken care of. If I thought a particular area should be neater and brought this to the attention of the front office. They would have the area cleared for me. All in all I must say my things have been secure there for a while now and every problem that arouse was eliminated. I would honestly recommend Security Public Storage to family and friends. read more

We rented a uhaul for a couple of days. It was fast and easy to get the truck and return it, and Adam was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely come back next time I need a storage area or uhaul truck, and I'll be recommending them to any friends that need this type of stuff. read more

I was living abroad and needed to ship my things from overseas to this storage unit - without being present on the receiving end. I contacted the managers and they were very responsive and helped facilitate my move by communicating with my friend who was going to oversee the process. They were extremely professional and answered all of my questions. When I returned to the US, my transition was smooth in getting my storage out. Everything was in good condition and the facilities are as described on the website. The most convenient part of this storage facility is the ability to drive vehicles into the building to move my stuff, which means you can move rain or shine. Once, my storage was not fully shut when I was going back and forth moving my stuff, and Adam had notified me and showed me how to properly store and close the unit. The managers and staff were great and the facilities are clean and secure. read more

I rented 2 unit's for one month, paid in full, had movers remove all of my things within a month and thought, great done. I even called and spoke to "Adam" and he assured me, he closed my account, and all was fine. Well, I received a voicemail on a Sunday from "Trey", to call her it is urgent. I call on Monday morning, she begins to tell me I owe, her money because "debris" were left in a unit. I tried to explain, I am far away now, mover's told me they emptied them and further more, Adam said last week he closed everything. She was the most unprofessional person I have ever spoken to, she said "you got to come clean em out, I will put a lock on it, and continue to charge you!". I asked for the manager, she stated: " I am the manager today!". This person, obviously is on a power trip. The way she called, the way she spoke to me, she really was not anything even close to how a manager would treat their customers. I finally did after asking several times, get an answer that Adam will be in on Tuesday, but Trey added; " I will make sure he tells you the same thing I just told you!!". I hope SPS, does not continue to allow such a person to represent them. I would never rent or refer anyone with this type of treatment to paying customers....Addendum; I was contacted by the district manager and Adam the store manager, they were very apologetic, said Trey would be reprimanded and my account is satisfied.. read more
