Nice place to store your things. Clean and friendly staff easy access to property. Definitely recommend

I came in here to help a few friends get some stuff put of their units and omg... The rat infestations in the units is horrifying and disgusting. It's unsanitary to the point of dangerous. Everything is COVERED in ran feces and urine. You NEED breathing equipment, gloves, and sanitary equipment to even go into the units. This was across MULTIPLE units with MULTIPLE friends on SEPERATE occasions. None of these friends were related in any way either... This is a problem with the property. What's even worse is that this isn't the only Public Storage property that I've been to like this. In fact, it's the 2nd one... It makes me absolutely sick. The conditions are straight hazardous. The Health Department needs to investigate and condemn this and other locations desperately. They're so dangerous. read more

Surprisingly large lot in the middle of Baltimore City. Easy to navigate with a trailer. Dumpster available which is a super helpful bonus. Very good deal for parking our camper for a couple months. Pleasantly surprised! read more

The people who work behind the counter are great and super nice, but unfortunately the price increases are completely bananas. My 80 year old mother rented a unit a couple years ago and the monthly rental fee has more than doubled (maybe more than tripled?) in that time. It feels exploitative to treat a senior this way. We're moving out her stuff out this month. I hope the legislation catches up to prevent things like this. read more

I've had a storage with public storage for 7 years and recently they sold my items which carried a lot of historical artifacts from my grandmother and my father who have passed on I have been fighting to keep this storage for 7 years keeping their memories alive and on February 14th of 2025 these sons of b****** sold my items for $120 f****** dollars without any knowledge or consent without any notification no email no phone call no text message no post in the mail nothing the district manager name is Adam of the Silver Spring Maryland Public Storage location which is located on Fenton Street and promised that he would make a payment arrangement with me and he will take care of all late fees and all lien fees he has done none of the sort and now my items are going to some f****** stranger 420 f****** dollars I'm a sue the s*** out of everybody and they're all going to f****** suffer I'm beyond angry I am touching rage at this point and all this I'm dealing with and these sons of b****** did not even f****** tell me they're all going to pay I'm going to sue the s*** out of them and whoever bought my stuff was suffer too read more

This is a rogue business. Once you subscribe, they begin to add charges you are not aware of. Customer care doesn't help. I was charged for time after the end of my storage use. They even scheduled future payments after my check out date. Not to be trusted. read more

Easy to reserve online. Alexandra was extremely helpful in explaining my options. Made sure we were ok during the move in.

Alejandra was professional, helpful and very nice!!! Facility is very clean and organized!!

To elaborate, your Baltimore, Maryland facility on York Rd is equipped with staff who needs customer service training. My true concerns begins with me being a client of public storage - York Rd. Facility and having rats laid out in all of my clothes. I understand you all may not be able to relate however, I am a college student who lives out of state and needed to store my items over winter break. All of my summer clothes and heels were in this storage unit. To my return, all of my items were damaged by rats. Rats pissed, pooped and chewed through all of my items and I have pictures of these rats laying in my things. I think it is important everyone is aware about what type of "overnight guest" will be staying with their items when they store them. In addition to this, I filed an insurance claim via the insurance company and the only amount I can get back is $250 with a $100 deductible. Does this seem acceptable to you? Furthermore, I will attach pictures of the damages. I even obtained a rash by just going in the facility and trying to move stuff around to see how bad the damages are. Nothing was stored in here besides clothing and shoes!!! Even your own workers told me this happens often. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN!!!! read more

From start to finish the process was fantastic. The unit was clean, there were always carts available. The elevators were always empty and entire complex was clean. I loved the online sign up, pay and access. The app was very helpful and easy to use. And finally the woman at the desk was very pleasant and helpful. Just a great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend this facility. read more

Went to add something to my storage space and I couldn't access the gate. The office said my unit was evicted. After having an anxiety attack, I asked how could that be, when the auto payment never missed a month. I demanded we go to the space; when we did, the lock was still on the door. The space contained my dead parent's things, memories I could not have gotten back, if it really was evicted. Today, they closed my account 4 days early without any notification. I was paid up for those days in advance. The young lady had the nerve to tell me I had to return the lock we paid for. No apology either time. Insulation from the walls, was in my belongings and mold started forming on my China closet. 4343 York Road was the worst customer service experience, not safe for valuables. But would be the first ones complaining if they loss their jobs. read more

Infested. Mildew. Crime/ridden area. Don't rent here!!! It's unconscionable that they take people's money and regularly raise the rates!

Secure location, claim facility, easy process to access, staff was helpful when needed

The young lady behind counter was extremely helpful great customer service unit was sizable for my needs was not happy about it not being controlled air systems in which I will not be storing items very long because of that but it's ok for now read more

How to review this place? I don't know. Price: none like them. You really can move your stuff in for $23 ($1 plus $22 fee). No contract. so you can move out within 30 days and have only paid $23. MY COMPLAINT: they were closed on New Years. Yes, I was moving on New Years...had the truck packed and was ready to get our storage spot. We order everything and the guy is like, 'ok ma'am what time would you like to come tomorrow' TOMORROW? no my friend, I need a place TODAY. i already bought the UHAUL, its packed and y'all need to call somebody to come take my money and open up the storage unit i just reserved! UGH! i understand opening mad late on New Year's Day but closed? really? read more

Rude staff, unhelpful, stingy. There are 4 carts people can borrow to move in an out with. Four! There are many hundreds of storage compartments, people coming and going all the time. And they keep the carts locked up and when it is nearing the end of office hours, you can't borrow them. "They are unavailable." One time only one other person was there with one cart and somehow still there was no cart for me to borrow. They're not apologetic, not friendly. They are rude. And slow as molasses. The day I signed up they showed up over an hour late to open. Also, the first month was supposed to be $25, but we started mid-month, the 17th I think, and then they charged the full rate for the next calendar month. The "move-in special" of $25 did not cover "a month" it only covered 12 days. Blech. I am disgusted having to deal with such people and such a conniving business read more

your items will be stolen i would not recommend you put anything in there that you want back staff members take stuff as well as other people who also have storage in there if this is isn't warning enough you can have insurance and the insurance agent will offer you the lowest amount possible and will string you along for a year go to another storage facility just not this one they have cameras outside none inside this is a warning read more

This was a last minute move. I was satisfied how fast I was able to move in. The only issue I have is that online they give you one price but it does not include lock fee and insurance. I think they should be fortright with all charges. Suppose I dont want the insurance. Maybe the things are not that valuable? read more

I have to say that I was impressed by the customer service at this Public Storage. Everyone that I came in contact with was so pleasant and helpful. It is has been probably the best and easiest part of my move. I had a unit for about 4 months and never had an issue, and I was amazed to see such great service in East Baltimore. All too often people take their jobs for granted, but Jen and Adrian and the rest of the crew on York Rd always have a smile on their face and do their best to help you. Thank you York Rd Public Storage! Never underestimate what a smile and kind word can do for others :) I give 4 stars - all 4 go to customer service and ease of access. I think that there could be some maintenance done here and there - lights in hallway specifically - then I'd add another star. Nevertheless - I'd recommend this location to anyone read more

I moved out of my house a few days ago and I really needed a stress free day and Jennifer was awesome she was a great help to me thanks Jennifer read more

Jaquon was working the office when I came in looking for a unit. He had a great attitude and made the process quick.

We helped moved my family out of my childhood home a couple of weeks ago. Jennifer was incredibly supportive and helpful fielding unusual requests with grace and humor. They took a huge amount of stress off of what could have been an extremely stressful situation. We would definitely work with Jennifer and her team again (and probably will when I have to move my parents stuff again) p.s. that part of york rd is not a bad neighborhood! I used to take the bus and volunteer a block away when I was in middle school. read more

The Public Storage facility on York Road is great! I paid my bill there with Chanel who is highly professional, very down to earth and is willing to go the extra mile for her customers. In a time when customer service has become a lost skill, Chanel has really restored my faith that quality service starts not just with the product, but with the person standing right in front of you when you come through the door! Thanks Chanel and thank you Public Storage for the excellent service! read more

The staff here are very sweet but the property itself is disgusting. It's very dirty, the office is very small. There is usually only one person working so if you need assistance you will be waiting for quite sometime. I'm not sure if all storage facilities are this dirty but I just cant begin to describe the filth in this place. There is a pair of old men's underwear hanging from the ceiling of our unit, there is always some busted furniture in the halls, it smells and there is black gunk everywhere. The only reason we still took the unit is because its so close to home and we will need to go in and out of the storage unit as the seasons change. read more

Nice clean, extremely friendly and capable staff. This location is not temperature controlled.

Check the facility first, I did not find it acceptable, and they tricked me into signing up just to get access to check out if it was acceptable..... ok that's not right, that's deceitful. After making a reservation, I wanted to checkout this facility before completely signing up. It was 20' before closing time and the manager represented that I would need to sign up for access, (actually that was not true, they could have walked me in) so I signed up to get in to check the facility. After entering I noted that the barbwire fencing had been compromised and bent over where it was clear that people had been climbing over into the facility, and the bent over barbwire had not been repaired or put back into proper position. The next morning I called Public Storage and told them that the facility did not have acceptable security as it was clear that not only were people coming over the fence breaking into the facility, but that the fencing was not being maintained, making it even easier for people to break in to the facility. PS had another facility with space available so they offered me that space and said they would delete my contract on the space with the break-in fencing. I checked out the other space and it was secure and acceptable so I signed up. I was very happy with that arrangement. However PS never deleted the other contract did not refund my money and they are charging my Card. I Imagine I will get things straightened out eventually, but that remains to be seen if and when PS will keep their word. read more

Reba I had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Jennifer who was very cordial and extremely helpful in directing me on the size unit I would need to store my items. I looked at two other locations that did not offer the savings I received or Good customer service. I would recommend this location to all my associates1 read more

Avoid the York Road location if you can. The staff here is the absolute worst. There are two young women working here who are rude and disrespectful. They don't get out of their seats for any given reason and will ignore you forever. I don't know if they understand what good customer service is even, considering they are initially rude and nasty to people without ever giving them the chance to be anything. In addition, if your unit is scheduled to be auctioned, the "district manager" will cut your lock off WEEKS before said auction. So if you pay your bill after they've cut the lock off, you have to purchase a new one. Not sure how this is legal. As soon as I am able, I will move my belongings out of this place. read more

I would like to thank the manager Ericka at the Public Storage. I lost my key to my unit and to my surprise, she found it! She is a pleasant person to deal with, business oriented and extremely helpful! Thank you Ericka!! read more

Beware. They can raise your monthly rate significantly with little notice. They say it is a corporate decision but I checked with several friends who have used other storage facilities for years and none had more than a $5 increase maybe a year. Mine was $30 after 6 months. That's outrageous as far as I'm concerned. read more

The staff is decent, Friendly. BUT the FACILITY matches the area! sketchy! The FRONT GATE is ALWAYS BROKEN and the KEY PAD to gain entry to the STORAGE UNITS are NEVER FUNCTIONAL! I even asked about these things and the young lady said they were being fixed, they didn't fix the front gate until 3 days later! I'm in the process of moving my belongings! DON'T STORE HERE read more

We looked online before renting our unit here and found what we believed to be a reasonable rate for the size unit that we were renting. Upon check-in to our unit, I was forced into buying their insurance and was told that I could not rent the unit without it. Upon gaining access to their website I learned that it indeed was "not" mandatory and could easily remove it. Our renters insurance covers our storage unit as well and it would not make sense to have two policies on the same properly. Here we are now 6 months in, and I get a notice that my rate was raised by 30% and there is nothing I can do about it. Rest assured, I will never rent with Public Storage again. Sales tactics are sketchy and questionable at best. By the way they hound every customer checking in with a pre-printed card to leave a positive google review so it may be good for people to hear about our experience with Public Storage. read more

In a very UNSAFE and scary area of York Rd - My other reason it is getting a low rating is because of customer service. I had arrived from California to get my belongings and the staff was very rude and not helpful. I had left my key to the lock and needed it cut so I could get to my belongings (was taking them with me since I don't have many in the unit ) and the staff wouldn't help. Said its policy. I have never been to a storage unit that wouldn't help!!! Not knowing the area and it is in a very sketchy place for a male let a lone a 115 pound girl- I didn't know where to go to get the help. I ended up not being able to get my things and as of today they are still sitting in storage since I don't get much time off of work with no discounts or future help. What a disaster!!! Other than that, the place is clean but not temperature controlled. Hope this helps~ read more

We reserved the storage space online the weekend before we moved our daughter out of her of college apartment. Jennifer provided great customer service and was very helpful. No contract, this works for us since we will probably be moving our daughter's stuff again in the near future and the area seemed fine to us. You must purchase their insurance, we were provided one lock (but can place 2 locks on the the doors). read more
