First things first: I DID NOT USE PMS' MOVING SERVICES. I do not know the owners of this company,…read moreor anyone who has ever used them. I found them through Yelp! and did consider using them. In the end we opted to go with a company with a little more of a solid reputation, just for our own personal peace of mind. Our move is not a cheap one, and when turning over all of your earthly possessions and a chunk of your savings, you have no choice but to err on the side of caution. That being said, Jamel was an absolute delight to deal with. He spent 2 days corresponding with me about our move, the inventory, and explaining every single penny we would be charged. I cant say enough positive things about his professionalism and customer service. Unfortunately for PMS, I am not much of a gambler. If you are, and are willing to give the new kid on the block a shot, you should call Jamel. Jamel, thank you taking the time to provide me with such a detailed quote. I do wish you the best of luck with the future of your business.

They had a four person crew, carts, packing supplies, and a huge truck. They were also fast once on location. What I really appreciated, though, is that they were all very friendly and polite. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this moving and storage company because they lost and damaged my…read moreitems, and did very little to remedy any of the issues. I strongly recommend looking into the possibility of using another company. I hired Excalibur Moving & Storage, LLC to move and store my belongings in their storage unit from December 2018 to August 2020. Most relevant here, they stored a queen-sized bed, and boxes of decor, including a Yankee Candle collection. I chose to use their storage unit because I read on their website and was repeatedly informed that their units were climate-controlled and secure, and my items would be placed in such a unit. Upon receiving my items back from Excalibur, I found that they had lost a substantial portion of my queen bed, specifically the side railings, which hosted the base slats that the box spring and mattress rested on. Thus, I was only left with a head board and a box spring and mattress sitting on the floor. Completely unacceptable. When I addressed this issue with the company, they told me they would look for it when they had time. They never found the side railings, and I had to file a claim. After filing a claim, I was offered $96 as a remedy. The reason I was offered this amount was because on the Bill of Lading, I chose the Valuation Protection of .60 per Pound per Article should something become lost or damaged. (At the time of selecting this option, I did not think twice about my items becoming lost or damaged because: 1) I had read good reviews about this company; and 2) I had very little items to store and very roughly predicted that there was a low likelihood that my items would end up completely lost. I was wrong). I now need to buy a new bed. $96 is clearly not going to cover that. I rejected their offer. Teachable moment: Never presume that "things will be fine"; always keep your interest in mind; and on their Bill of Lading, select Replacement Value Coverage, which provides repair, replacement, or reimbursement in the event of loss or damage, and clarify the meaning of this coverage. Aside from the my bed, they damaged an entire box of large jar Yankee Candles that were mildly-used or like-new. They were damaged because despite the claim that they would be stored in a climate-controlled unit, they were exposed to such extreme heat that the wax completely liquified causing the wick to become completely submerged in the wax, then the wax solidified again to one side of the jar when they cooled off. All of my candles did this. When I addressed this issue, they attempted to blame it on atmospheric conditions. Despite this attempt to disclaim fault, there is absolutely no way that mildly used, like-new large jar candles would completely liquify in the way they did, if they were stored in a climate-controlled unit. Why in the world would it be that hot in a climate-controlled unit?? That's bull crap. They could not have stored them in a climate-controlled unit, despite their claim. I also received a box of decor that was clearly marked fragile in red that had broken picture frames, and broken glass decor. And received a box of drinking glasses where some of the glasses were broken. It's clear these items were not handled with care. Additional damage to the home (new construction) included scuff marks on newly painted walls, scuff marks on new carpet, scratches in new hardwood floor, and a chip in drywall. Aside from lost and damaged items, the movers spent an inordinate amount of time wrapping things in plastic wrap, which ate up move time, and STILL managed to damage items -- we had scratches on a brand new night stand, and scuff marks and holes on the side of a box spring of a new adjustable bed. Excalibur provided me an estimated 7 to 9-hour move when I inquired about moving my items from their storage unit, and a mid-point stop, ultimately to my new home. They also stated that they were providing three movers to help the move go quicker. This move was not quick. While two of the movers attempted to be efficient and quick, the third mover was sluggardly, which slowed things down and was problematic because it costed more money in the end. Even though Excalibur tried to send a fourth person, who ended up being the mover's supervisor, the move still took 12 hours. Excalibur knew what type of move it was, and the items that needed to be moved. They provided an estimate that was not realistic based upon the resources they provided, and I paid for it in the end. So, all in all, between the move, which costed a little over $2K, and storing my items from 2018 to 2020, which costed about the same, I paid upwards of $4K only to receive back lost and damaged items, and a settlement offer of about $170. What a slap in the face. Therefore, I absolutely cannot recommend this company. Issue after issue. Abysmal.

I am doing a two-stage move with Two Men and Truck, and the first stage was amazingly simple and stress free, from making the reservation to delivery and unloading. The company sent 4 guys to my house to move my stuff to two different locations. They arrived on time, introduced themselves and got right to moving things into the truck. They handled all of my furniture and boxes with great care. They were very efficient which I very much appreciated since this was an hourly rate move. During the move, all of the guys were friendly and very easy to work with. They asked questions to be sure they were getting things on the truck to go to the right place. There was not a single moment of worry or stress during the entire move. At one point, the Company owner and one of the managers stopped in to do a spot check and see how everything was going. I was very impressed that they took the time to do this and that they were genuinely interested in how the move was going. The second stop of this move was to a storage unit. That storage unit is perfectly organized - I've never seen a storage unit so impeccably arranged. I can easily see and get to all of my stuff! Overall, this company did a fabulous job for me. I am doing the second stage of this move shortly and have no qualms whatsoever about using Two Men and a Truck for that move as well. In fact, I am looking forward to it. Who'd have thought? The owner Gustavo has an extensive background in moving services, working in a variety of positions at other companies. Now he brings that expertise to you in a full service shop. And it shows. He personally conducts a walkthrough at your home to assess your needs. In my experience, this is the most critical step because if they don't see your stuff first-hand, notoriously they never have the right materials or space come moving day. His quote comes within 24-hrs or less, and it's VERY reasonable. In fact, he was $1000 less than typical big name movers in the area. I'm not a huge fan of selecting someone solely on price though. But given the level of service, the quality of the team, his competitive price is just icing on the cake. Gustavo dropps off packing supplies to your home - what service does that?!!! And you should consider that into the cost of moving. I also paid his team to come back my valuables - kitchen, breakables, mirrors, paintings. The price he charged was so reasonable and worth every penny. I know my stuff is well protected. His packing team arrived the day prior to my move and worked efficiently. They know packing! Come moving day, his on-the-ground team was absolutely incredible. They were courteous and concerned about making sure things were wrapped and stored to my liking. I had some very expensive furniture that they worked hard to make sure it was secured properly so it wouldn't break during transport or once in storage. They're very hard workers, and even when we had some down time waiting, they offered to load up my car for me! And Gustavo checks in frequently to make sure you're happy as well. He came to the rescue when we needed a special tool to take apart my bed. I also used them for storage. If you're looking for long-term storage, definitely talk to them about their options as they can make them very competitive with public storage facilities and you can lock-in pricing. Plus, their insurance covers way more than what you get with external storage facilities. Moving is stressful. There's just no way around it. Save yourself the headache and anxiety and go with Move It All. Quality and communication is top notch. Prices are unbeatable.

Turns out I had kidney failure and stayed in the hospital for a week while they solved the problem of a blocked ureter. More surgery. My husband knew I had to put together all the stuff in my new condo and organize. Clothes folded and hung up. Books shelved. Kitchen completely organized. Furniture situated. Family pictures and knickknacks appropriately displayed. He called you! He had a personal friendship with you. I came home from the hospital and was shocked! My new condo looked like something from a magazine. Sweaters folded so perfectly, the way they look in fancy shops. Kitchen perfectly organized. I started crying. I had been sitting in the hospital wondering how in the world I would get up the strength to even unpack one box. Fletcher and these wonderful women made me forever grateful. But when the movers arrived, they walked around our apartment and drew up a new scoping list, which MORE THAN DOUBLED the original estimate. We couldn't afford this, so we hired them to work only 4 hours, moving all the large items. And at that, they refused to move furniture with glass cabinets until I disassembled them -- I've had those cabinets moved by other movers who had no problem with them. So the disassembling, transportation, and reassembling cost me about 4 more hours of my personal time. WHen they were done, we were left with a half-moved apartment, and we spent the next three days shuttling our stuff in Zipcars from one side of town to the next. Do not use these people.
