I submitted a quote for a 10x10 unit and got a call immediately after for follow-up. On move-in day, Amanda and Bridgette got me processed and settled so fast. They discussed the T&C with me and then walked me to the unit before signing. Immediately, the cleanliness stood out to me. So happy I chose to rent here! Some quick, helpful tidbits: - You can purchase a lock with them on site. They do not hold any keys. - Rent is due on the first of the month and can be paid via customer portal. - Someone lives on-site to help you with all your needs (I did not know this!)

When I let the office know...I did not receive anything remotely resembling an apology, but did receive an offer of some bait to leave in the unit. Ummm...no thank you! I do NOT want to lure rodents IN only to have them DIE in our unit! Immediately began looking for a cleaner facility.

We packed light but didn't want to hire a moving company to haul it cross country and with the price of gas driving it ourselves was out of the question. We'd seen these style storage units before and thought it might be a good idea. It wasn't. The day before they came to pick up the unit, it got broken into and robbed. It was half a block away from a police station too. Thanks DCPD. We were told by gentleman picking it up that we were covered through insurance, so we relaxed and started the claims process. They took there time in getting back to us and informed us that it wasn't covered because it wasn't in their possession. We looked through our paperwork and it never said anything of the sort. Now they won't return our calls or emails. To top it off, we get it in SF and start unloading it, but the dresser is destroyed, stuff is scuffed, and the unit's door is not closing. Needless to say, these things are WAY TOO easy to break into. They are boldly colored and easy targets. DON'T GET ONE - especially if you live in a city.

I was impressed with every step of the process, from the woman who originally helped me sign up, to the men who delivered and picked up my box in DC and then in Texas, and the customer service reps I spoke to on the phone any time I had a question. Every single person I spoke to was nice, courteous, and didn't mind answering my thousands of questions. The guy who delivered the box was prompt and did a great job showing me how everything worked. During my entire process, everything went exactly as planned. Frankly, I had prepared myself for worst case scenario, but nothing ever went wrong. The box held together just fine. It also survived torrential downpour--everything inside the box stayed perfectly dry. The box was clean and sturdy. The wooden sides do shift a little bit, but it was well within a reasonable range. I never felt like the box was going to pop open or anything and it held together just fine, all the way to Texas. Now, I'm a meticulous packer: I bubble wrap everything breakable, I am extremely conscious of how I stack items, and above all, I make sure nothing has any space to shift or move, even if it means filling gaps in the crate with empty boxes. That being said, when everything arrived, it was in exactly the condition and placement I had packed it in. Nothing moved around, and I haven't found any broken items. My TV also arrived in perfect working condition. The only criticism I have of Door to Door is about the tie-down loops on the inside of the crate. There are two metal loops that you can use to tie-down your furniture. Problem is, they are only located on one side of the box. I really would have loved it if you could have put two more loops on the opposite side of the box. Based on the way I had my things arranged inside, I wasn't able to use either of the loops, and that meant I had to get creative. It worked out just fine in the end, but additional loops would have made it easier. Thanks for the great move, Door to Door!

The value is great for the money you get 3 months of free rental on certain storage units. There's a truck you can use when you first move in for free I believe she told me within the first two weeks of moving in. Because it is a new facility there's not a lot of traffic when you come. I usually come during the week if I'm off and someone is here before they close at 5:00 if not I come on Saturdays before 1:00 before the person who works here is gone just because it's kind of creepy and if I do have to come while there's no one here working I usually bring somebody with me. Other than that it's a great location it's very convenient to where I live and like I said it's very clean. I forgot to mention that they do have flatbeds that you can use when you come also an app so that way you don't have to Fumble with the keypad you can just put the app on your phone and just scan it in front of keypad and it will let you in automatically without you having to remember your key code.
