You are predatory scammers. When I signed up for our main level 20x10 unit years ago the price was under $300/mo with an "internet price" of under $250/mo. As of today many years later the current price advertised online is still $292/mo with an internet price of $234/mo. Yet somehow my rate was increased over and over again to the point where our most recent increase this year took it to over $580/month. So when you're stuff is moved in and it's nearly impossible for anyone to make the decision to abruptly move it out and you're essentially trapped at least for a while public storage in Catonsville will prey on you. I believe this is both illegal for putting false pricing online and having predatory pricing practices. I'm a business owner myself and am considering taking legal action, I will be consulting an attorney. Furthermore the units are supposed to be climate control yet my possessions are coated in mold now. I was told to call my own insurance company to see if they will cover it. WTF. So if you want to be lied and tricked into paying nearly 3x what you agreed to while others are being offered the same rate and you can't do anything about it but move out all the while all your possessions you're paying nearly $600/month to store are completely ruined with no responsibility taken then give public storage in Catonsville a shot! read more

There are other storage areas that are cheaper. The fact that there's also no AC or a cooling system doesn't exactly mean it's climate controlled. It needs bathroom facilities as well as at least a vending area for water or at least a water fountain. I had one storage area that at least provided a bathroom. Find a cheaper place. read more

They say a dollar for the first month, charge me for administration fees, and I had to use their lock which costs me $20.00 extra. The manager was nice , showed us around the facility, explained everything. You have to enter a gate code and again at the elevator. Also which really made me unhappy was they padlock the dolleys to the ground and you have to ask permission each time you want to put something away. I have never in my life seen such extremities. Isn't that why everyone has to pay for insurance each month? The first day I got there there was no light where my locker was. I was loading up my storage locker in the friggin dark. If it wasn't for the importance of getting rid of the clutter in my home then i would of already left. read more

Since EZ storage was taken over by Public Storage nothing has changed the service and people at old pimlico road are just as nice and helpful as before, but Public Storage has seriously raised their prices with nothing extra and nothing new aside their signage. Soon it won't be worth storing stuff as the yearly cost per square foot becomes too pricey. read more

The staff is nice and very helpful; and I appreciate that. However, the pricing is insane. But first: I had a 10' x 15' unit with AC, that was clean when I moved in. However, the units are obviously infested with rats as evidenced by the multitude of droppings that I saw in the corners and sides of the unit. Although security was never really an issue due the required access code, the garage-style door to my unit was difficult to securley lock on a consistent basis. Now to the price. SPOILER ALERT: TRY YOUR VERY BEST TO GET RID OF YOUR CLUTTER SO YOU DONT HAVE TO USE ANY PUBLIC $$$$TORAGE. I entered on a superlow feel-good intro price, then I was paying $102/mo, then by the end of that year $158, then $183/mo by the end of 2016, then $203 (2017), $228 (2018), $253 (2019). In 2020 after I negotiated a price reduction and was told that it would be reduced to $180, but they still charged us $223 one month later). Then by 2021 $256/mo and then up to $290/mo by the end of 2022. Finally, in July 2023, I received a notice in the mail that on August 1, 2023, the price was increasing to $339/month!!! That was when we called it QUITS!!! We moved everything out right away!! BTW, I noticed seeveral other renters were moving out as well. Some items went to trash, some to AMVets, some to the donation area at my local dump. I salvaged a few old childrens clothes, vintage cassette tapes, all of the old photos and certain milestone items. Otherwise, that would've been $4068/year to store stuff that you don't miss and will never use!! (not including the next price increase). Think about what you could do with $4068!!! Not only that, but think about how much I sepnt over the years!!! With all of their price increases, they don't show any respect to their loyal, paying, long-term renters. They kjnow that horeders are gonna set it and forget it and pay them for years and years, so the ower can't have his/her mansion, other rental properties and a yacht, etc. Bottom Line: Unless you're renting for only 1 or 2 months during a transitional moving process or if you're buying a Public Storage franchise LOL, DO NOT deal with any Public Stoge, at all. Don't be like me: Get rid of clutter, old furniture, clothes and other old stuff that you don't miss, your kids can't use and don't even want. DO NOT USE ANY FORM OF PUBLIC STORAGE!! read more

Every time I come, staff is unavailable. You need to go to the main office in order to rent a cart, and the doors are always locked. For instance, they are open 9-5 today. I arrived at 11:45 and the office doors are locked. There is a sign stating the manager will return at 11:30... it's 12:15 and no one is answering the doors or phone. I pay too much for a unit here in order not to be able to talk to anyone during hours they are open, or have to deal with this nonsense in order to get a cart. Businesses shouldn't offer services they are unable to provide. read more

I've had my unit almost 2 years recently went to my unit and discover a huge pile of mice feces in the inside of the unit. When i went To the office the share my finding the store manager rudely directed me to call the insurance company. Very confused as i was Not sure what insurance would do about pest control. The store manager was very rude and refused to be of any help. He refused to provide me the district managers information or the customer service number . I plan on removing my belongs and switching companies I've invested too much money to receive poor customer service for something that should be handled by the company. Another note is the dollies are locked up and only accessible when the office is open which is a huge inconvenience . This location is rather old. The staff is friendly, the facility looks clean but I did kill a roach in one of the aisles. There are vermin trap boxes all over the interior and exterior grounds. When I started my rental, the gate code given me was in operable for over a week so I had to use a general store code. Due to that issue, morning access to the units was available only when the office was opened at 9 30 instead of 6 am as advertised with NO additional accommodations. Also the old 1 elevator to my building was inoperable for a few days and the only other available working elevator was in the rear side of the building so you can imagine the inconvenience of having to load and move furniture through 2 doors , down long aisles, turning sharp corners on smaller than home depot size, very soiled flat bed carts that are never cleaned. And if you're lucky to actually get one of the two carts esp during peak times like after 4pm then you're having a great day. Well, I did get one of the less expensive rates out of all the storage locations in my 10 mi. radius. Word of advise, do not pay late 1 day or you will get at minimum a $20 late fee and locked out of your unit which is outrageous. Late fees cannot be refunded at the store level and customer service says that refunds are computer system generated so you're at the mercy of an algorithm, no human empathy. In my estimation avoid this place like the plague. read more

The location is convenient to I-695. However, the facilities are run down and there is a lack of concern by management on security. The gate to the parking lot has been broken for over three months now. There have been times when the front doors have been propped open because the electronic locks are not working. The elevator is slow and old, and the inspection certificate expired in December 2018. There are rarely any carts in the facility. The store is a couple blocks away so there is no at the site so having the gate wide open doesn't give me any feeling of security. Prices go up after your first month. Management claims the only thing you are paying for is your storage unit and not locked doors or gates. Excuses about how it will cost $30,000 to fix the gate is why they refuse to fix their maintenance problems. I really don't care if it costs a million dollars to fix the gate, that's not my problem. I signed up for services with a locked gate, functional doors, climate control, and polite service, not excuses. Calls to regional management have not been returned, nor has executive offices returned any calls. Manager said he didn't want any ratings less than five stars then argued with me and hung up the phone. Bottom line is if your padlock is enough security for you then this is an alright place to store your things. If you expect layers of security and polite customers service, don't sign until the gate is fixed and working. read more

Great team and are very professional. This team will make sure you get into the unit you need instead of just shoving you into one as other storage places will do. I was given a tour of the property and also explained in detail the fastes access points to my unit to make my move fast and efficient and it truly was. Very clean facility and security updates since the last time i used this location which makes anyone feel a little more safe coming back and keeping there belongings at this location. piss poor service from bottom to top. system says I had a return check, went into local location paid cash. given a receipt paid late fees and check fee. two days later they say check was returned again but I paid cash..$488.40 but they still say do to check return I owe $377.00. So on a unit that's $298.00 a month they expect me to give them over $800.00 because their system says so. Called corporate office and they won't update my account because when I rented my unit no one made a copy of my ID, so they can't validate who I am. Told me to go to another location and they can correct my account. Why can't they contact my location and tell them the system is wrong. This is the kind of shit that people go postal about. read more

My only complaint is there have been only 2 carts available for use. According the customer service, renters hide them in their units... Maybe there should be tracters that show where each cart is and if it hasn't moved for an extended period of time (maybe 3 hours) track it down and call the renter to return the cart or charge them for a new one if not returned... read more

My boyfriend and I rented a climate-controlled space for just over a month. They really aren't tricking you (much) with that $1 for first month's rent thing. They just charge you some type of administration fee, but the total is still only about 20 bucks for the first month. It's even pro-rated after that. I think we had a total of 35-40 days for about $40-50. The customer service was great. They were very friendly and prompt. The space was fairly clean, just a little dusty. I didn't see any rats and nothing was ruined, but I did see rat poison and traps. We were there on two really hot days and it was still a little hot inside the building. I think they do attempt to control the climate, but people are constantly loading and unloading so it's sorta hot. It's nothing to be concerned about, but I suspect it's a little hotter than promised. All of our belongings were untouched and safe when we unloaded. My only complaint is that my clothes smelled funny when I unpacked them, which actually could have been from the totes they were in. I'd definitely go back to this place. read more

They need lighting for safety and bring your own lock so that you will not have to buy there lock and they don't tell you that they will not give you the unit if you don't have a lock at the time of signing. read more

All was fine until they increased my monthly rate by 12%, with no notice. I wouldn't have known about the increase if I hadn't checked my bills. Ashely showed me my unit of interest and really went the extra mile to ensure I got the unit that was best for me considering the stuff I was trying to store. My wife and I rented a large unit here for what was planned to be a few (3) months and ended up being about a year and a half. During that time the staff was always friendly. The warehouse was always clean and well lit. I always felt my locker was secure. Measures were always taken by the company to keep the warehouses pest and rodent free. The tempurature was never more than 80 or less than 70. Our unit was on the third floor and we never had an issue with a broken elevator. While I hope to not move again for many years, I was very happy with the total experience here and would gladly utilize them again myself and recommend them to others with out hesitation. The storage unit itself was fine, but the staff leaves much to be desired. Other than one lady who worked there adn the staff who helped me when I first rented the unit, the other staff members who work there can be quite rude. There is a young woman who works there who acts like she's doing you a favor to assist you, and a bald man who acts like he has better things to do than to assist you. Another thing I didn't appreciate was the fact that each building has 3 pallettes, but only one key - so, if you get the key yourself, anyone else who might need a pallette cannot get one, so they remained locked with padlocks. There were several times I went to the unit and was told that the key was "out" but once I got through the gate, all the pallettes were padlocked and not being used. Also, when I rented the space, I was told I could use the dumpster. I found out only near the end of my rental I wasn't allowed to (I was told it was for the floods from January-February when I was there in May). It also doesn't seem fair that if you leave your unit during the first week of the month that you don't get a prorated rent for the last month. I was settlinhg on a home and wasn't sure when I would be able to get the items out and I paid my May '15 rent early. I'll remember to call in advance the next time (although I really don't understand why calling a few days ahead vs. letting them know right away makes a difference. read more
