I went to this salon because the photos on the owner's website are all so gorgeous and detailed. I went in expecting that level of work, and was really disappointed. I showed the nail tech a picture of nails I wanted and explained on which nails I wanted them, multiple times. The design I had was all white/gold glitter. The nail tech gave me a matte green colour which I thought was weird but I was like, well maybe it's just the base. But nope! She tried to tell me she was done and when I asked where the sparkles were she said I never told her I wanted sparkles. The picture I gave that she had right in front of her was covered in sparkles, that was the whole design, so I was really confused. Then she proceeded to sigh loudly multiple times and tell me it was my fault that my nails weren't what I wanted and was extremely rude about it. She eventually put on sparkles for me but they fell off almost immediately after I left and they weren't even remotely similar to what I asked for. I'll include pics to show what I got vs what I asked for. It's fine if there was miscommunication somehow but the fact that she was so rude about it and told me it was my fault when the pic I gave her was very clear was really disappointing. All the techs also showed up late and there were 3 other clients besides myself waiting outside past our appointment time for them to arrive and open the shop. read more

Waited a while even when they told me specified time, which would have been fine if nails would have turned out good. Nails weren't terrible but definitely not good for the price point or end result. As well as the nail tech drilled into side cuticle constantly. Left hand was very rushed and nails ended up different lengths. Definitely didnt look like the picture at all and I asked them not to add the top coat since I need to get them fixed regardless. Disappointing nails leading up to birthday. Other artists look like they had better work so It could have just been the person doing my nails read more

I've been going here for about year and never left disappointed. The nail techs here are super talented. I recommend always making an appointment because this place is busy. My favorite techs are Evon(the owner) & Jay. You won't be disappointed, trust me. read more

I got these done a while ago and it took them 6 hours to complete this full set. Not only that but they over filed my natural nails to the point it started burning and i told the nail tech and she just said sorry and CONTINUED to file the nail. She went on to apply the acrylic super thick and at that point i just wanted her to finish so i could leave. I didn't have the nails on for more than a week. I could not take how heavy the nails were and how painful they were. I've had nails this length before and have never had a problem with them being too heavy. But because of how over filed my nails were my fingers were literally in so much pain. After a couple days the redness of my nail beds turned to bruises. Would not recommend this place. read more

I've been getting my nails slayed by Haley for months now! She is the absolute best! She is so kind and we always chat about life. She's also unbelievably talented! I always ask her to do the most and she goes above and beyond. I'm extra when it comes to my nails and the design she does for me is the greatest! I am always complimented on my nails! Not to mention they NEVER break or fall off. As far as acrylics go, they feel so secure! I live downtown Seattle but the 40 min drive to see her every 3 weeks is so worth it! read more

Short and sweet review - Yen Vuong is the best nail tech in the game. Period!! Completely worth the price as the custom one of a kind sets are beyond reproach. Love love love this nail studio!! read more

Honestly, their pictures are VERY deceiving. Only go here if you have 4-5 hours to waste. I felt like I had a very simple design. The lady who did my nails took TWO hours just to file the acrylic. Then an hour to paint. My toe nails aren't much better . After someone overhearing me tell my girlfriend how upset I was someone came and offered to fix them. But who wants to do that when they've already been there for 4 hours. The nails were $80 and my pedi was $75. Definitely my first and last time going there. I've attached photos of what I asked for vs what I got. I also attached a picture of my toes. This is just beyond unacceptable & I hope the owner of the salon sees this. (Why she did two different designs on my thumbs I couldn't tell you, but I was at the point where I honestly just wanted to leave) read more

best sets i've ever had!! i don't know how i can ever go anywhere else to get my nails done. Just started getting my lashes done here too and they put my old lashes to shame. i get my nails done by either Jay or Rachel and my lashes done by Jennifer but everyone who works here is so talented and amazing it's worth every dollar, you're paying for quality and you won't be disappointed. never thought i'd spend so much on my nails but it's hard not to when they come out looking better than the nails i see celebrities with. i've also never gotten so many compliments before for both my nails and lashes. 11/10 recommend!!! read more

First appointment I scheduled at 10am and the nail tech didn't show up til 10:30. No apology and my nails took forever. They was nice, but I had to rush out of there to make my son appointment. Second time, which I shouldn't have done. So my nail broke and I decided to give the lady another chance. Message her on Instagram told her what happened. She said come in on Friday 10am again( I should of known better) this time she never showed up. Another worker called her and she said she had something with her daughter. It would of been nice to get a heads up, as I was coming from Puyallup. Another lady tried to fix my nails but I ended up soaking them off. It was ugly. You know if it was the other way around, I would of been charged for being late or not showing up. I'll find another shop closer to my home. Long story short, don't waste your time. read more

I've been here twice and loved the first set I got. However there was clumps of acrylic under all my nails and would snag my hair and any lose clothes I had on. This second set was a fill and will be my last time there. Nails started peeling the next day and I broke my middle nail 2 days later. Really disappointed. read more

Every time I get my nails done here they get damaged and I always end up with ring of fire. I've experienced this with other salons and I thought this salon would be different, but I guess not. I don't think they're qualified to be using a nail drill if I always end up with damaged nails. The last time I got my nails done here was in May (green french tips). I really liked my nails, but I don't think it's worth getting my nails damaged every time. Also, when I reserve with a certain person, I always end up with someone else. I don't think there's a point in reserving with a certain person if you're just gonna have someone else work on my nails. As you can see from the photos, their quality is not consistent. Those are from three different nails techs. I've seen their work and what they're capable of, but that did not show up on my nails (colorful french tips and blue nails). Which is why the nail tech I reserve with is crucial. read more

I did a mani&pedi where I got delayed for 45 mins my pedi was started after 20 mins when I raised concerns about time. Okay that's not everything. I had two separate appointments for the services. Ended up spending 2.5hrs and canceling my dinner plans. I'm disappointed. I would not recommend. read more

Service is extremely slow. I arrived at the salon at 2:17 and didn't leave until 4. They're overpriced. Also, DO NOT ask to get your eye brows done here. Instead of saying they don't do eyebrows, the girl took me to the back, did an AWFUL job and ruined my eyebrows..and still charged me $12. Ridiculous. read more

I got a full set of pink and white ombré and it took 3 hours to get done. I originally wanted a design with my nails but at this point I had already missed another appointment and was ready to go. I had asked the nail tech to shorten my nails and thin them and she assured me they will be a lot shorter once she shaped and files them. She was finally done with my nails and I had rush off to make my flight. I was very dissatisfied with my nails as they were extremely long, thick and had many bubbles in the shellac. They were so thick I barely had any feeling in my finger tips couldn't even feel my scalp when touching my hair. The shape was uneven and looked like some weren't even filed. I tried calling the salon no answer even text the nail tech who text me the day of my appointment Snd still no response. I ended up having to go to a different nail shop so they can fix what EV nails had done and even they asked if it was a First time nail tech who did my nails. I will never go back to this place for services! I figured my nails would look the best they ever have based on how much time was spent there and the price. I Also I had trouble finding the salon since the name is not what's listed on the building. read more

EV Nail Studio - Thick acrylic nails with bubbles - Nail Salons Near Me - Kent, Washington

Very judgmental nail techs. Poor quality and their nail techs aren't friendly at all.

Wanted to support new business in the neighborhood so I decided to give them a go. Hard to find the salon since the sign had a whole different name: SPA... something in green lettering. I got dip and a regular pedicure. The two ladies did do a great job! However they and everyone else seemed confused as to how much my services were going to be at the end. I should have asked instead of assume the cost to begin with. I didn't see any price list anywhere so maybe each tech is different? I got dip on my real nails ( no manicure) and a standard pedicure and that came out to $90. Where other places would have charged me $60. The place is beautiful and the spa chairs are awesome just make sure you ask for pricing first unlike me,unless money ain't a thanngg. read more

Do not, I repeat. Do not come here. I've been coming since the nail studio was in a home. They were great until Jay and Rachel left. I've had my appointments that I book months in advanced cancelled literally the last min and those that know, the good techs are booked out in advance. The last 4 times I've had my appointment cancelled for unknown reasons without them offering to rebook. I decided to give one last try and have my appointment cancelled THREE times in one week. I'm not sure how that even happened, but whatever. When it's finally time for my rescheduled appointment with AYN, she has me sitting there for an hour, then tells me she can't do my nails. They then take off 6 of my nails and leave me sitting there for another 30 mins before taking the other 4 off. I had to ASK for them to be removed. It's unfortunate cause the owner is super nice, but the employees that work there now do not care about the customers at all. They're great if you can get them to do your nails on time and without a cancellation. read more

I love this place. I have just come only one time, and my nails look so good. I love how details they were, that why I think they took longer than in another place. They pushed my cuticles and cut them before they start their work, you can't find the way like that in somewhere else, I think. Even they are quite far away from my house (almost a hour ), but it's worth. read more

I had an appointment at 10 o'clock in the morning I walked in I didn't get seen for about 20 minutes, which is nothing new, but on the website it says a full set with gel polish one color only takes 60 minutes, so tell me why my full set gel polish one color took two hours?? not only was I late for work because they took an extra hour than it was supposed to, but my nails weren't even fully done. When I can look straight on at my nails and still see the tip of my fake nail unpainted, it's not all right. also wrong shape. I asked for a coffin shape and my nails look more like squares. and not only is it the tip of my fake nail not painted, but there are the sides of my nails that are have finished and have nail polish on them. the lady doing my nails, kept getting distracted as in getting up talking to her other coworkers. and talking to other clients and not pay attention to doing my nails. One more thing. The acrylic on top of the actual fake nail is thick and bulky. It just doesn't look good. read more

the lady that did my nails did a horrible job, I told her I wanted my nails short but she cut them to the Nubs , as she got done with my nails I'm looking at them the polish was done very horrible some nails didn't have enough for the whole nail or some other nails had way too much it looked very sloppy and not clean and I still had a lot of dead skin around my cuticles, it was like she was in a rush and didnt care to what she was going to my nails. This is my second time going there and the outcome was horrible again. read more

If I could give them less than zero stars I would.. got my eyelashes done and while she was doing them my eye was burning when I pointed it out she said it's normal and I believed since it was my very first time getting my eyelashes done after I got home I realized my eye is very infected and red I couldn't go back since my flight was in an hour so I called them and they told me to use eye drops and apologized I thought maybe it'll get better over night instead my eye was getting worse my eye was infected and hurting for days when I came back from my trip I went straight to the studio and told them to take them off. They told me to come back next day coz they were busy coz of family emergency I had to go out of state again next day and couldn't make it when I come back I called them and ask to reschedule that's when they tell me they can't reschedule me ever again coz I missed my appointment already clearly they just don't want me in the salon again they knew what they did to my eye and that the girl who did my lashes wasn't professional at all the manager hung up on me while I was talking I called back and told him how I could've took legal action for they did to my eye I just want the eyelashes off and I'm willing to let it go it's only been a week and the lashes are hanging half way taking my real lashes off along with them.. he said it's not their responsibility anymore and that they have insurance so I can do whatever I want. So I wasn't expecting to spend two hours waiting for my appointments on the day of my birthday which is why I'm giving this review. When someone was finally available to do my nails I explain to them that I only had time to do a soak off and shellac paint instead of a full long nail sets and they gave me attitude.
