I was seen by May for a builder gel fill on my natural nails, and she was wonderful! She gave me a large variety of colors to choose from, which I really appreciated. They didn't have the exact color I originally wanted, but May recommended a similar shade, and it turned out absolutely beautiful! May was quick and gentle, but what I appreciated most was how much attention she paid to detail. That's really important to me when getting my nails done, and she did such a great job. I was overall very happy with the design outcome that Vincent did, the only reason why I knocked a star off was for two reasons: One, Vincent got on his personal phone a number of times during our nail fill session. Two, randomly, without warning, the entire salon personnel got up from their clients and congregated in the back room. At first I thought it might have been someone's birthday, but ends up one of the employees went shopping and just wanted to show off what she bought. Not a very good business practice. They were very busy, and even short staffed due to the Lunar New Year, but it seemed like they accommodated everyone to the best of their ability. My friends and I both got French shellac manicures. I got a bow design on one finger on each hand that added an additional $10 to the total price, seemed a bit steep for the design, but other than that we liked the service and would definitely be coming back again! The left side total cost was $52 and the right total cost is $42. I am quite disappointed with the service I got today. I asked for a regular gel manicure ($30 without tip) and am upset with how they turned out. My nails were poorly painted - they look like they had grown out, there is uneven layers, the tips are not painted (looks like my nail is chipped), and the nail isn't completely painted (notice the sides). The polish I chose was sheer so it did need additional coats. I do understand it could look thick and splotchy but I have gotten a color very similar in shade and sheerness with multiple coats and it looked nothing like this. I believe the owner of the salon painted my nails, which I thought would be great because she is the owner, however, this is the worst manicure I have received at Stop 4 Nails. I came in the 2nd time because, i was tired of a brand new cracked and fragile dip nail set I had from a different salon. I said and showed a picture of what I wanted. At first I really liked this place, and since I had so many events where I wanted my nails to be done I just came back maybe three times back to back to get mani pedis, with shellac on my nails. I've never had technicians use a dremel on the top of my nails but I never thought anything of it. I've had them use it on the edges before at other places. After getting the shellac polish taken off and just a regular polish I've gone home and taken the polish off myself and this is what I see :( as a professional how do I even go out with nails bare like this... I've had my nails done with shellac plenty of times elsewhere but maybe this is routine.. maybe not. I'm just going to do my nails at home now and go elsewhere and definitely never let anyone dremel the top of my nails again. Pros: good massage and conversations. I'm changing my review. This is the 4th time I've come to this business. I'm utterly disappointed with the way i was treated. I came in for a French fill with a shape change. Jennifer did a lovely job but unfortunately my middle nail broke the next day. I came in to get it fixed the day after and they charged me $3 at first then, when they realized i previously had shellac they then charged me $4. The last time i came in, a woman came in who broke her nail, and she complained she got them done 4 days prior and they fixed her nail free of charge. I don't understand why they charged me for THEIR mistakes. The new woman who fixed my nail did a HORRIBLE job, she didn't even clean up the the French line, like they normally do. The shape was crooked and absolutely botched. Very displeased and i feel conned for my money. I pay $50 to get my nails done everytime i go in, it is very unfair the way they treated me and they made themselves out to be money hungry. I will not be coming back for your service. read more
