We walked in today after a two year hiatus expecting the food to be exactly the same as it used to be. Two our surprise, it was absolutely horrible. The mac & cheese is microwaved, the barbecue burger has shoestring onion rings, or the thin onion rings, and you could not even separate them, which was very odd when biting them. They were very hard, my wife ordered the fish tacos... They came out cold. Specifically asked to make sure that there's no greens inside of the street corn and they bring me a bowl full of greens in the street corn. All in all, definitely won't be going back over there unless they go back to their old ways making food fresh. The barbecue burger that I got, you can tell that they froze the meat and cooked it. It didn't even taste like a fresh burger. Management...can't be selling garbage like this to restaurant goers. Oh... The plates were filthy and also the water bottle that they bring out had food on the side of it. This restaurant needs a reality check and a company meeting. Man this place went downhill. Ordered a cheeseburger medium and it came out well done, bread was stale, grilled onions were rubbery and dry. Ordered two kids mac & cheese and both were old like they were sitting in a tray uncovered. Service was horrible from the time we walked in. The team seemed scattered and not sure of how to handle the group we arrived with. We regularly attend Eureka in Redlands and love both service and drinks- but tonight the team seemed they didn't want to help nor attend to the group we brought in. At least that was what we were treated with upon arrival. We were waited on and had our first round and when the second round arrived there was a miscommunication between what we had ordered and what arrived at the table- the waitress seemed upset we were displeased with what we were saying. Trying to correct us that we ordered a specific way when we simply were trying to explain what we had originally ordered. At that point, I didn't even care to be much more of a bother than it already seemed we were to the crew that night. It sucked having to get up to leave because we usually have a great time there. But seems that the shift we arrived at wasn't having much of a good night. I manage myself and the customer service and vibes that were over looked and dismissed at first, soon became very prevalent throughout the stay. Sad to say this visit put a bad taste in my mouth. I had the firecracker shrimp and it was so good! Plenty of shrimp with the most refreshing slaw on the side. Mt daughter said their chicken sandwich was the best she's ever had. I was surprised that this place is only four stars. I think they are a 4.5 or higher kind of place. This was my fourth time here and I have not been disappointed. Tonight I came alone, sat at the bar and got great service. I ordered a hazy IPA, the fish and chips and for dessert a Penicillin. Their signature fries are great! The food came out hot. The batter in the fish was a little on the greasy side but was still light and crispy. I don't know how to describe the sauce that comes with it but it's amazing. My wife and I, along with our kids went here for lunch. We were sat down, and 20 minutes later, no one had come to check in with us, offer us water, etc. Multiple servers looked towards us and then just walked past us. The table right next to us had full service with a server coming back multiple times, and nothing for us. We decided to leave. On our way out, I informed the host that we had been waiting for over 20 minutes with no one even offering us water as a heads up for the terrible service. Tried the smash burger which consists of two smashed beef patties and upgraded our side to the sweet potato honey cinnamon fries. We also ordered a side of the Brussel sprouts and broccolini. The favorite of the night was the burger because of its charred and well seasoned patty. It was simple yet delicious. I would drive an hour and a half just to have this burger again. The Brussel sprouts also did not disappoint. It is deep fried in a sweet chili sauce. Now let's talk about the broccoli... flavorless, hard to chew and it's topped with cashews. I'm not sure what the vision was but honestly this was not it. I imagined the broccoli air fried and crispy. It was boiled or sautéed but I'm leaning towards boiled bc it lacked any flavor. The service was very slow. Our waitress was not attentive and there was hardly a server on the floor on any given time. Not much parking. The ambiance was really nice. I brought my friends here for the first time and they all loved it. We came during hoppy hour (if it's a holiday it's all day!) and got high quality pub burger meals under $15. We got this roasted artichoke appetizer. Great combination of flavors. Charred brussel sprouts with almonds and a sweet chili glaze. I'd come here again.
