Little tiny piece of meat for $5 added to my chilaquiles
    Nessa C.

I went to try this restaurant in the past, all was good. As seen on my previous picture from months ago, my plate looked good! Today I decided to come back and to my surprise, my favorite plate has changed for the worst. I asked for the red chilaquiles with asada for an extra $5. This is what they gave me for meat. I'm not lying to you. I had taken one bite of the meat and this is the remainder. I asked both of the waitresses what's up with this? Where is the meat they used to add to the chilaquiles? One of them said they had "complaints" about the meat and so that's why they switched up to this little piece of meat, cause it's "better quality" and the other waitress said that's their new style. I told both of them that had I known that this tiny piece of meat was going to cost me $5, then I would've not asked to be added. I was disappointed.

I was killing time after a workout while waiting for a friends flight to come in. I decided to hit yelp to find something good to eat and Cocina 85 came up with a 4.9 so I decided to give it a try. First impressions are it's well lit, clean, and vibrant. I was immediately greeted by and asked if I was dining in or to go. I chose a table and was promptly served warm, fresh tortilla chips and salsa (excellent). Whenever im checking out a new Mexican place I always go for tacos so I can try the most meats. I went with Baja Fish, Baja Fish, Carne Asada, Al Pastor, and Birria. The fish taco was loaded with two large pieces of deep fried fish (guessing pollock or cod) and the shrimp taco was loaded with battered plump shrimp. I was about 80% full before I even got to my street tacos. All three were delicious and there was enough beefy consome to dip all three types of tacos. The waiter/cashier was also the owner/spouse of the owner and he was very friendly and attentive. Overall a 5 star experience and I'll be back!!! Vegetarian notes: They make their corn tortillas in house without using Manteca. Refried beans do not have Manteca, but the rice uses chicken broth.

This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in town, the molcajete a 10, the sea food tacos a 10 and the flan definitely a 10 and customer service was amazing! We will be back for sure. Drove about an hour to get here today. Totally worth it ambiance and decor made you feel at home. My husband said the music made him want to eat more lol loved it !

Combo #13- Enchilada (shredded beef), chile relleno, rice & beans, plus Baja fish taco (for $1.50 more)

Clean, well kept interior. Really enjoyed looking at all the hand painted murals. Bright and inviting. Found this spot while looking for Baja style fish tacos. Parking is plentiful in the front. You order first at the counter with their tri-fold restaurant style menus. I didn't see any paper to-go menus so made a note to take photos for reference later. Ordered the combination #13 for the enchilada, chile relleno, and taco. For $1.50 more I got the Baja style fish taco. For my enchilada I got shredded beef with red sauce. It took maybe 10 minutes total from ordering to heading out the door. I had the chance to visit the women's restroom which was tidy and clean. The position of the toilet paper roller is quite low so not sure if that may be an issue for folks who cannot reach very low. Overall, the chile relleno was my favorite part of the dish. Great batter and flavor. My lease favorite was the Baja style fish taco. I feel the battered fish needed more salt as it was quite plain on its own. The portion of the taco is quite large so I can see why they go for $6.99 each. Noticed that they have fried ice cream here. If we come back to dine in I'd give the desserts a try. PS - Not pictured because I ate them all on the way home are the complimentary chips. Large, crispy chips and unsalted which is hard to find! They were so good. I'd buy bags of those if they had them for sale.

Food is delicious and the size is very generous. The average dish is around $20 which is very good for nowadays . Also the decor is very Mexican or Latin Am style that cheer one up. I live in OC and come here for my real estate listing in the area. I highly recommend !

Great customer service and hospitality! The food was priced well for the portions served. We tried the menudo, and the broth had really good flavor on its own -- it didn't need any extra seasoning, but of course the oregano, chile, lime, cilantro, and onion were a nice bonus. We also ordered a wet burrito and it was well-proportioned and filling. The vibe is cozy, and since we went on a Monday morning, the wait was ideal with plenty of parking available. Definitely worth coming back to try more of the menu!

This place is definitely 5 stars. It was busy when we walked in but were immediately serviced as we sat down. The environment is enjoyable there's a tv and music but not too loud and is kid friendly! Decorations are beautiful and there's plenty of art work to look at! Food is always delicious and they do serve lunch specials from 11-3. This place is always a go to for me and my family.

We decided to try this little place, and it did NOT disappoint! The drinks were sooo yummy the guac was so fresh, and the food was amazing! The service was also super welcoming and they checked on us plenty of times, which we appreciated. The ambiance was super inviting as well. Definitely give this place a try!

I visited on 3/29/26 around 2 PM for lunch with my daughter and fiancé before heading to Knott's. As I mentioned, the food itself was excellent. The issue arose when we received the bill. My fiancé ordered a burrito and requested to add chorizo, fully expecting to pay the extra charge. However, when the burrito came out, it did not include chorizo. I ordered a combination plate, which offers either two items for $22 or three items for $27. I chose the two-item option and didn't think much of it until the bill arrived. When we reviewed the bill, we noticed that instead of charging for the combination plate, they charged us for two separate full meals (taquitos and enchiladas). On top of that, they also charged us for the added chorizo that we never received. We brought up the chorizo, and they did remove that charge. However, that prompted us to take a closer look at the rest of the receipt. That's when we realized we had been overcharged for the combination plate. When I brought this to the attention of a waitress (who, I should note, was not our original server), she told me they don't have a combination plate on the menu and quickly walked away. We waited for someone to return, but no one did. Since we had already paid and had somewhere to be, we decided to leave. Afterward, I checked their website to confirm whether the combination plate was part of the regular menu or possibly a limited or brunch-only item. It is clearly listed as a regular menu item. This means the waitress gave incorrect information, and at no point did our original server mention that the combination plate was unavailable. Instead, he allowed me to order it and then charged us incorrectly. Because of this lack of honesty and transparency, I'm giving this place a 2-star rating. I strongly encourage anyone dining here to double-check their receipt, as after reading other reviews, this seems to be an ongoing issue at this location.

It was kind of fast and came to see how we were doing every few minutes. The bad experience starts with the food, first of all the price is very expensive compared to the quality of the food, about $30 for two tacos not mention that one taco had only four little shrimps, my wife got the flautas and as soon as she got them, we noticed there were mosquitoes on the food so we returned the plate We ended up eating at a different time because of this problem we still got charged for it, nothing special on the Michelada, which is 18 bucks for only one beer and clamato At the end, we order a dessert of fried ice cream and unfortunately, another bad thing with this food a pubic hair at the bottom of the fried ice cream. It was very nasty. I decided not to complain anymore, but instead to leave a review, this is the first and last time that I'm coming to this place Another thing to point out is the bathroom is in a horrible condition, they don't take the trash out once the bin is full so there's many things that they really have to work on

I ordered the Cali Burrito with no sour cream and light guacamole and I wasn't super hungry, but it hit just right! Mmmmm. The chips were fresh and just the right amount of salty but the salsa was just a little too spicy for me - but my friend loved it and he likes it spicy. The only downside was there was a party happening in another room and apparently due to that, our food took forever to get out. The two small groups that got seated ahead of us had gotten theirs and we waited for a long time. My friend almost just wanted to leave. So maybe next time, find a way to still be able to serve small groups on sync rather than making them wait extra time if possible. But I'd be back for sure. Oh, the mango margarita was not it. It tasted premade and plain. Another table left a full margarita as well so this worried me that this may be something normal? And there is no return on alcohol so we finished most of it because of this and didn't want to waste that money.

After a long week and zero desire to cook on a Friday night, I finally decided to give it a try. When I pulled up, the line was surprisingly short, which felt like a good sign. The order window is right out front, and the menu is simple and familiar: tacos, burritos, sopes, tortas, quesabirria. I ordered a little bit of almost everything: asada street tacos, a bean and cheese burrito, beans and rice, an asada mulita, an al pastor sope, and a quesabirria. Prices were reasonable, and I spent under $50 for the whole spread. Food came out in about 15 minutes and was packed neatly. The disappointment started once I got home. There was no salsa in the bags, which already put us at a disadvantage. Only then did I realize there's apparently a salsa bar inside along with a small seating area, something you don't see from the front order window. Had I known that, I would've grabbed what we needed before leaving. Then we opened the tacos and realized they came completely plain... no onion, no cilantro, nothing. Just tortillas and meat. Not exactly what I expected. Visually, everything else looked fine, so I was hoping the flavor would make up for it... but it didn't. Everything tasted bland, like the seasoning took the night off. The only thing I halfway enjoyed was the beans and rice, and my family felt the same way. Maybe my expectations were too high based on the crowds I always see, but everything tasted like tortillas, meat, and cheese... and not much else. I'll give them credit for fair pricing and quick service, but that's about it. I really wish the cashier had mentioned that the tacos come plain or pointed me toward the salsa setup. Overall, not the experience I expected, and not one I'd rush back for.
