Red pepper pasta with filet mignon
    Derek T.

Uncorked on State is an unassuming fancier little restaurant at the edge of Downtown Redlands. For you amex platinum enthusiasts, this is a Resy restaurant if you have credits to burn. Appetizers are the move here. Bruschetta Shrimp burrata, quite nice and unique without being too outlandish. It has the refreshment of bruschetta burrata but with shrimp. Smoked salmon tartine is pretty self explanatory. Flavor profile is all there without being too strong from the smoked salmon taste. Porcini mushroom pizza is a nice small mushroom pizza to snack on while you wait on other food. Bacon wrapped figs were decent too although the sauce was probably the best part about it. Our main entree was a Red pepper pasta filet mignon, which frankly was a little flat. The filet mignon wasn't too tender or flavorful frankly and the pasta sauce was a little lackluster as well. But for filler, it does the job. So like i said, appetizers are the move here, pair them with a wine to maximize your experience here (if your wallet is willing), otherwise, the place does run a little more expensive than other restaurants in the area.

Stopped by for a quick bite and a flight! This place is a cute little wine tasting restaurant and small bar that is great for small groups. (And great for date night) SERVICE: Very friendly people that take care of you at entry and during your meal. Very attentive. FOOD: Tonight we tried a couple flights and had some great white and red wines while enjoying a yummy charcuterie board. We only tried appetizers, but the food looked great. Located downtown on State street. Go give them a try.!

Reserved on the day of on Resy. They book up quickly but was able to get in easily right when they opened. Staff were extremely friendly and knowledgable on their wines and food. Enjoyed sitting at the bar so we could chat with the bartender and enjoy our sangria and appetizers.

Another incredible meal our second time around. Brought my son for dinner. He had the salmon. I had the short rib. He said his food was just as good as last time. We had the Brie for an appetizer. It was mouth watering. Ashlee was our server. She was super attentive and really knew the menu, something I always appreciate when I go to a place that's a little more formal and accepting of my non-formal appearance. Great server. Great service.

Deeper into downtown Redlands, and happened upon this restaurant by chance since other places had long wait times. It's extremely cozy in here, and the staff were all noticeably warm and kind. We had the burger and margherita pizza, then finished with their crème brûlée. (Amazing) I've visited many downtown Redlands restaurants and many share similar menus. Uncorked On State had lower prices, a unique ambiance, and delicious food we'll remember. Will definitely come back.

Great atmosphere and a wide selection of wines. Came here for a drink on my birthday and it was great. The staff was very friendly and the menu has a little bit of everything covered.

The charcuterie board was delicious. Wine was amazing! I love Syrahs and they can be hard to find. My husband and I are still talking about the Brie Burger! It may be the best burger I have ever had. Caramelized onions, Brie, fig jam! Wow! And inside reminds me of a farm to fork cafe in Northern California. We loved it!

    Filet Mignon

I've been to this restaurant twice before and genuinely enjoyed it, which is why I confidently recommended it to a group this time. Unfortunately, this visit was extremely disappointing and honestly embarrassing for me as the person who suggested it. The restaurant was nearly empty, we were one of only three tables, yet the service was shockingly inattentive and rude. Our waitress repeatedly rolled her eyes, spoke sarcastically, and made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. When asked about wine recommendations, she offered no explanation or guidance and clearly didn't care to help. I ordered the $55 filet mignon rare. When it arrived, it was well done. Since it was already overcooked, I asked if there was a sauce I could have to help eat it, and the waitress flatly told me I "you don't need one." She didn't check on our table at any point beyond dropping off food. When I eventually mentioned at the end of the meal that the steak was overcooked, she asked why I hadn't said something sooner... despite the fact that she had walked away earlier and made it very clear she didn't want to engage. I didn't eat the steak at all. I cut it in half only to show that it was well done, yet it remained on our bill. There was no apology, no effort to make it right, and no acknowledgment of how unhappy I clearly was. To make things even more uncomfortable, at i want to say 9:00 PM the waitress suddenly turned all the lights on in the restaurant without saying a word to us, no warning that the restaurant was closing, just an obvious signal to leave. This was especially disappointing because I had such positive experiences here before. Sadly, this visit showed me that while the restaurant may work for small, low-maintenance visits, it completely failed with a group. Poor service, lack of professionalism, and no accountability ruined what should have been a great night.

Came here to celebrate sisters bday. I hadn't even heard of the place and since I don't drink, I was suspect. We were welcomed and sat in the "waiting area". Let me just say it is a very small place and kinda felt like a local wine connoisseur space. We then sat at our booth/table. We ordered the appetizers calamari and the artichoke something. Both were absolutely delicious!! We then ordered scallops, duck, steak and the burgers. The scallops were good, the steak was perfectly cooked and the fries were delicious! I was told the duck was average and our burgers were over cooked. Overall, this place still gets a 4 star because it was received well by my family, my sister liked the wine and the food was overall good! Likely won't be back because we just don't do wine, but if you do and want to feel fancy with wine, do come to Uncorked!

    Caesar Salad

For the price the food wasn't up to par. The tomatoes sauce in my pasta felt undercooked. It felt like I was ready just bland tomato sauce and noodles. Seeing other people's Caesar salad portions online and what we received, do not compare. Also the waitress felt very forced to smile at us. We're not the typical demographic and we didn't feel welcomed by the waitress. If I had paid for this dinner out of pocket I would have been extremely upset. Overall was a huge let down. The other wait staff came to tend to us more than our actual waitress.

And, for the non-wine drinker, they've also got a selection of craft beers and ciders. WINES: Ben's shop carries a great selection of wines, focusing on small batch producers, "unique" varietals, organic wines, natural wines, biodynamic wines, certified carbon neutral wines, and local wines. You can do a tasting or purchase a glass or bottle to enjoy onsite. There's a tasting bar up front, as well as bar top tables inside, and a spacious patio outside. There's on street parking in the front, as well as a small parking lot in the rear. I highly recommend you stop in and give them a try when in the area. Pretty view of the hills, trees, hummingbirds and butterflies around. It's lovely. The best part of this place is the ambiance, the beautiful views and spacious outside can't be beat. Unfortunately, if it's a rainy weekend, this place will be closed because because all of the seating is pretty much outside. But when it's nice outside, and in SoCal, it's usually nice outside, this place is wonderful. I was really happy watching all the butterflies flitting about. Service is also really nice. Just go up to the bar and put in your order, they'll get to it asap. There's water around for you to grab if you're thirsty. But if you want more drinks, just go back up to the bar. My friend actually got sick on my last visit here (not alcohol related - health issues) and the bartender was so nice to us and understanding - we paid up and left right away when it happened. Def made me feel welcome to come back again. It was something not in anyone's control, and she knew that and understood it, and was really amazing. The minus star I give is honestly because the wine is a bit meh (I got a bottle of the sparkling wine). One, it's just not the best taste wise even when you add some orange juice, but the biggest thing is it's always warm when they hand it to you. I would raise it this star if they just served it actually cold - doesn't need to be the best wine, just cold would be nice. I might bring some ice in a pack with me next time actually lol. If it was cold, I think it would be way better. I haven't tried the pizza place here, but it's on my list for the next time I come up here. Overall, loved the ambiance and service. And that will always make me come back.

I look back nostalgically at those meals, and we occasionally look for a fondue restaurant around the time of our anniversary on December 28th. We've tried the Melting Pot and Rok N Fondue in the past with some success. Being in Redlands on the 27th, we made reservations for Rok N Fondue. I was worried as their Open Table link was not working, but I left a reservation request on their phone and they were quick to text back a confirmation. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted and taken to our table. We ordered their Rok N Cheddar cheese fondue to start. It was served with cubbed bread, tortilla chips, granny smith apples, carrot, celery, and cauliflower. The cheese consistency did not seem to ever properly coalesce. We did a lot of twisting a tearing of cheese to get the provided dippers covered and out of the mix. The taste was good, but the celery and cheese was not a good mix. I ordered the chicken breast, and Robin tried the Bourbon Street - Cajun seasoned petite filet, chicken, shrimp, and andouille sausage. The fondue entrees come with potatoes, mushrooms, and broccoli. The chicken was okay especially using their provided dipping sauces - Chimichurri, Teriyaki BBQ Sauce, and Sweet Chili Wasabi. The vegetables cooked up well and were tasty. Other than the precooked andouille sausage, there did not seem to be noticeable Cajun seasoning with the Bourbon Street entree. Overall a good meal, but not great. The service was attentive and friendly and the building itself is beautiful. They provided us a tasty New York Cheese Cake for our anniversary. It was a nice overall experience.
