Our first experience was great! We went early on a Saturday. Made a reservation for 5:15 through their website but probably didn't need one at that time. Only a few other people when we arrived, but by the time we left around 6:45 it was starting to get busier. Was impressed with the wine selection. They let us a taste a few to decide on a bottle. Paid about $45 for a bottle of Zinfandel, which I think is pretty reasonable at a nice restaurant. My husband and I each ordered the burger. It was honestly one of the best burgers I've ever had! Brie cheese, arugula, bacon, fig jam, and cooked absolutely perfectly. We were impressed that they even got the temperatures right. I ordered mine medium and my husband ordered his medium-well, and both were absolutely perfect. The fries it came with were also perfectly crispy. I bit expensive at about $22 (I think?), but the quality made it worth it. Service was great. Attentive without hovering and making you feel awkward. The food is amazing, the other night I had a filet that I was able to cut with a butter knife because it was so tender and excellently cooked. My wife and I have started to go several times a month and every time the atmosphere, drinks, and food are amazing. The service also is excellent. Our waiters are always friendly, knowledgeable, and personable but they also don't stick around too long so you can enjoy a conversation with your company. The other night we brought our baby on a date night, not only did the owners greet us and were so accommodating and kind, but they ensured we had a wonderful night. Uncorked on State is located on the end of State Street in Downtown Redlands which made parking a breeze. Uncorked on State is new, but busy so I suggest making reservations online. I arrived a bit early but luckily, they had the table ready. While the food menu is somewhat limited, the wine menu is quite impressive and extensive. Nonetheless, we ordered the chicken sandwich and burger which both come with a side of fries. Though the menu is limited, the items are done well. The burger was juicy while the fries were crisp. Huge gold star considering I'm a bit of a fry snob. Unlike some of the other restaurants on State, this restaurant allowed me and my friend to have a conversation over a bottle of wine which was awesome. Bottles of wine vary from around $40 - $300 depending on your choosing. Redlands definitely need a wine bar so I'm stoked to see this addition to the neighborhood. read more

Stay away from the pancakes and biscuit and gravy for brunch because the pancakes are too thick and dry and the biscuit and gravy is cold with not enough gravy and tasteless dry biscuit.
