My girlfriend and I came in just to grab a beer walk in the streets of Redlands. Come to find out the owners of the shop are all best friends and mostly DJs. Disappointing Experience - Overpriced and Underwhelming My wife and I were on the hunt for a good pizza spot and decided to try Made From Scratch Pizza Kitchen in Redlands. Their website allows you to reserve a table ahead of time, so we did. However, once we arrived, it was immediately clear that a reservation wasn't necessary at all. The place is massive and incredibly noisy--honestly, it functions much more like a loud sports bar than an actual restaurant. The pizza here is way overpriced for what you get. They only offer one size (12 inches), and we decided to try both the New York and the 8 Mile. The 8 Mile: This is a square pizza, but it tasted only slightly better than a Little Caesars hot-and-ready. The New York: A total miss. It was way undercooked and mushy--absolutely nothing like a real, authentic New York pizza. As for the service, it completely matched the noisy sports bar vibe: "now you see me, now you don't." Our total for just two pizzas and two Cokes came out to $56. Honestly, we could have gone to Little Caesars, saved $40, and probably walked away more satisfied. We won't be returning. read more

A bottle of Daou cab wine from Paso Robles is between $19-23 dollars in stores: this place charges $175 for the bottle and almost $24 PER GLASS!!! The math doesn't even make sense. It was goopy, salty, and dripping with oil. Pizza should not be that oily. Third, our waiter asked if we wanted chili peppers on the side, and we appreciated that, but he forgot to bring them. The bar area and seating all exuded a sense of vibrancy and a place to hang with friends especially to watch a sports game or catch up on life in a hip, cool setting. This place has AMAZING pizza, don't get me wrong. I love the pizza here and would come here for the pizza, but there is such bad service here that it makes it difficult to continue to come back. The salad here is also incredibly small, a little bigger than a soup bowl if you are thinking of having it as a meal. For the service, they have a lot of staff who's main job is to hang around the DJ booth, the bar, or the back to chat with one another. It takes an incredibly long time to order or even get refills of water. I had to continuously work to try to wave someone down to get service (which never worked). I am glad that the employees seem like they're having a good time! It's just unfortunate that there seems to be little care that the guests also have a great time. I would just re-train employees to not dilly-dally during peak service time (I worked at multiple restaurants, I would have never congregated at the DJ booth for an hour). Our waitress was kind. Given we were there on a Thursday at 6pm I can't attest to any other day or time but this place was sooo loud. I totally football games were on but then a DJ started playing music and it was incredibly difficult to have a conversation at our table and we were decently far from the DJ booth. Don't go here unless you have MINIMUM an hour to spend waiting for your food. I mean MINIMUM. Disappointing overall. I genuinely hate to write this review, but we have given this restaurant 3 tries so far. The first time we went, the restaurant was half empty. The service was very poor, and our pizza took a long time to get to us. We figured since the pizza was pretty good, we'd try it again. We also thought since it was a newer place maybe they were working out the kinks. The second time we visited, we were with friends. We ordered a salad and pizza and they completely forgot the salad. At the end the waitress apologized after she realized and gave us a '10.00 gift card' as an apology to cover the salad. We later realized the 'gift card' was simply a card with a QR code that gave us 10.00 off of our order of 30.00 or more - and it led to a website where you give all your info for marketing purposes. The 10.00 was for takeout and online orders only. So we couldn't use that. We couldn't even have conversation with friends because the DJ music was so loud. We were shouting across the table all night. It felt like a club at 6 pm on a weeknight when we were just trying to catch up with friends over a nice dinner. The third and probably last time was this evening - we waited an hour for our pizza. We ordered a beer and it took 35 minutes for it to get from the counter where it sat on (long enough for the foam on the beer to disappear by the time it got to us) to our table. We watched the girl pour it and leave it on the counter two feet from our table. Our waiter walked around giving everyone drinks but us. When he asked us if we wanted another beer we said no because we didn't want to wait another half hour for a drink. They gave us our sides of hot honey and ranch right after they gave us water after we sat down so we just had side dips and glasses of warm water (they don't give you ice unless you ask). The pizza came out over an hour later. It was mushy and soggy for margarita pizza. And the worst is nobody comes to acknowledge the wait - they walk by your table and don't apologize for the timing, they don't let you know the pizza is coming, nobody updates you on anything. They don't do any of that. The pizza is not good enough for this wait. The place is so loud you get a headache by the end of the night. Everybody sitting at tables looks just as uncomfortable and miserable waiting for their food too. We have tried 3 times to support this local business and can't justify a fourth time. As a Redlands local I had to try the newest spot in the city. We came on a Wednesday evening and were able to catch Happy Hour which is Wednesday- Friday from 4-6pm. The first time we came it was great! Tonight was terrible unfortunately. We were seated on the patio and we got waters right away and our server came out. We ordered an appetizer and a couple drinks and our appetizer came out fairly quickly but our drinks never came out 25 minutes later when I mention this to our server, he just said he was sorry. He asked if we wanted to order food and I said no I would just like to pay my check and leave. The staff doesn't care if people leave, and they are only focused on serving their inside customers not their patio ones. There was another couple sitting on the patio with us that had to leave because no one even came to their table at all. We did see our server helping people on the inside and moving to those tables only for long periods of time. When I tried to approach the girl in the front about the service situation, she said she was sorry but she's not my server and walked away before our conversation ended. It's too bad tonight happened like this, because I think their concept and food is good! Seating options include indoor, outdoor, and bar seating.
