Cute location in downtown Redlands. The menu has lots of options, and service was good. The food was okay, I feel like items were overpriced for their quality overall. The complimentary bread was delicious- thick pieces of toast for the table. The beet salad was refreshing, and the lamb chop entree was well cooked but I didn't enjoy the sides it came with. The pasta dishes we tried were lackluster. Overall, come for the ambiance and variety of options, but I think food could be improved for the pricing.

First time here a few weeks ago. Loved the patio area, our server was very friendly and efficient. The bread is to die for! The salmon sandwich on their lunch menu was delicious and the salad my friend ordered was a lot bigger than expected.

Ambiance is always delightful. The patio is a great spot to people watch. Service was amazing. Always great to see Redlands Celebrities like Larry Burgess there! Roasted beet salad is like no other salad in Redlands. It can be served with chicken, trout or salmon. Its topped with Humboldt fog chevre, avocado and pistachio.

Prosciutto Crostini

Had dinner here with my girlfriend for an early dinner. I've been wanting to try this place as I always pass by when I'm in the area. I ordered the prosciutto crostini (which is a crostini topped with burrata, green peas, Asian pear, & parmigiano) & pasta ribbons & pesto (which is asparagus, mushrooms, parmigiano, & I got mine with shrimp). My friend got pappardelle pasta (which came with grilled shrimp, spinach, mushrooms, & lemon-thyme cream sauce). I enjoyed the crostini more than the pasta. The crostini was really good as all the components compliment each other. The sweetness of the pear masks out the saltiness of the prosciutto. Then you get the crunch from the crostini & asparagus. But IMO, there was a little too much prosciutto for my liking, and it was hard to eat as there were so many elements on the crostini & everything kept falling off. As much as I love pesto, this pasta dish wasn't it. It was a little too dry for my liking. The pesto was pastey and made the pasta dry. The only thing I liked in this dish was my shrimp. I didn't get a taste of my friend's pasta but it looked better than my pesto pasta. The service here was great. We were rated right away. We sat outdoors & still got good service. This restaurant is tucked away in the corner of State & 5th St of Downtown Redlands. I didn't really see the inside of the restaurant, but from my experience of sitting outside, it's pretty chill. The outdoor patio faces State St, so it can get busy with people passing by. I would definitely return here to try their other food items.

Caprice is always a 5 star place for us and we are always impressed with both the service and freshness of the food . First of all, a big thank you to our server Ryan whose helpful suggestions and overall pleasant demeanor made this a delightful experience . My friend ordered the wagu burger with extra garlic aioli and I ordered the ahi tuna tartare ( don't let the size fool you the small portion is very filling ) We also ordered our drinks off menu, her ordering the white sangria and myself ordering a classic lemon drop . Best lemon drop I've had in my life . Very balanced and fresh . Absolutely perfect! We will come back time and time again .

Dinner at Caprice Cafe for my wife's birthday. Food was excellent! I had the Rainbow Trout/Green Beans/Almonds and my wife had the Pappardelle Shrimp dish. The bread was very good/fresh. Service is slow, but reminds me of dinner experiences in Europe. The table is yours, and no one is rushing you to finish your meal. Servers do tend to leave you alone, so you may need to work to get their attention. Atmosphere was cozy/nice/relaxed/quiet. Dessert was the best Cinnamon Apple Dumpling dish we both ever tried-delicious! We did have a minor issue with our wine (cork), which was handled to our satisfaction, to the credit of Caprice Cafe staff. First time at Caprice Cafe, and we both give it high marks. Definitely going back. Four 1/2 stars till we go back a second time, but five stars on deck. Highly recommended.

I've been a customer for the past 10 years! I can't believe I haven't reviewed this restaurant. If first sentence is not proof of the good food, excellent service and chill vibes, here are more details. During our latest visit I had the Pesto Pasta with Salmon. It's my go to dish and hubby also had grilled pasta meal. Both dishes were good and flavorful. The bread with olive oil is always a nice addition to any meal. The food is always consistent here and so is the service. If you're looking for a great date spot in Redlands, checkout Caprice. You won't be disappointed!

Inside the restaurant. Loved the large trees.

We've been to Redlands several times and eaten there as many but had not quite found the right eating establishment. This last time was different. We were making our way down the street when we saw Caprice and decided to try it. Despite having no reservations we were seated right away which was great because we were tired from walking around for about two hours. We had drinks to start with. We loved the Tomato tartin and the grilled shrimp. I had the steak but it wasn't that good; no flavor except for a teaspoon of butter with blue cheese. Nonetheless, what we liked was good.

The kitchen was very very slow to get us our food, but the ambience is pretty inside and once we FINALLY got our food, it tasted amazing.

They've gotten to know us, and our tastes and they always make great recommendations, as well as setting up some very interesting tastings. And, for the non-wine drinker, they've also got a selection of craft beers and ciders. WINES: Ben's shop carries a great selection of wines, focusing on small batch producers, "unique" varietals, organic wines, natural wines, biodynamic wines, certified carbon neutral wines, and local wines. You can do a tasting or purchase a glass or bottle to enjoy onsite. There's a tasting bar up front, as well as bar top tables inside, and a spacious patio outside. I feel that bottle prices are very reasonable, and we usually end up leaving with 5 or 6 bottles based on our tastings and Ben's recommendations. There's on street parking in the front, as well as a small parking lot in the rear. I highly recommend you stop in and give them a try when in the area. NOTE: They don't serve food, however Woodhaus Pizza is right next door and you're more than welcome to pick up something there or bring in your own munchies.

Pretty view of the hills, trees, hummingbirds and butterflies around. It's lovely. The best part of this place is the ambiance, the beautiful views and spacious outside can't be beat. Unfortunately, if it's a rainy weekend, this place will be closed because because all of the seating is pretty much outside. But when it's nice outside, and in SoCal, it's usually nice outside, this place is wonderful. I was really happy watching all the butterflies flitting about. Service is also really nice. Just go up to the bar and put in your order, they'll get to it asap. There's water around for you to grab if you're thirsty. But if you want more drinks, just go back up to the bar. My friend actually got sick on my last visit here (not alcohol related - health issues) and the bartender was so nice to us and understanding - we paid up and left right away when it happened. Def made me feel welcome to come back again. It was something not in anyone's control, and she knew that and understood it, and was really amazing. The minus star I give is honestly because the wine is a bit meh (I got a bottle of the sparkling wine). One, it's just not the best taste wise even when you add some orange juice, but the biggest thing is it's always warm when they hand it to you. I would raise it this star if they just served it actually cold - doesn't need to be the best wine, just cold would be nice. I might bring some ice in a pack with me next time actually lol. If it was cold, I think it would be way better. I haven't tried the pizza place here, but it's on my list for the next time I come up here. Overall, loved the ambiance and service. And that will always make me come back.

The ambiance is warm and romantic, making it a great spot for a date night. The staff is friendly and attentive, which adds to the overall experience. The only downside is the wait time. It can take a while to get seated and for the food to come out, so patience is definitely needed. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the food makes it worth it. I look back nostalgically at those meals, and we occasionally look for a fondue restaurant around the time of our anniversary on December 28th. We've tried the Melting Pot and Rok N Fondue in the past with some success. Being in Redlands on the 27th, we made reservations for Rok N Fondue. I was worried as their Open Table link was not working, but I left a reservation request on their phone and they were quick to text back a confirmation. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted and taken to our table. We ordered their Rok N Cheddar cheese fondue to start. It was served with cubbed bread, tortilla chips, granny smith apples, carrot, celery, and cauliflower. The cheese consistency did not seem to ever properly coalesce. We did a lot of twisting a tearing of cheese to get the provided dippers covered and out of the mix. The taste was good, but the celery and cheese was not a good mix. I ordered the chicken breast, and Robin tried the Bourbon Street - Cajun seasoned petite filet, chicken, shrimp, and andouille sausage. The fondue entrees come with potatoes, mushrooms, and broccoli. The chicken was okay especially using their provided dipping sauces - Chimichurri, Teriyaki BBQ Sauce, and Sweet Chili Wasabi. The vegetables cooked up well and were tasty. Other than the precooked andouille sausage, there did not seem to be noticeable Cajun seasoning with the Bourbon Street entree. Overall a good meal, but not great. The service was attentive and friendly and the building itself is beautiful. They provided us a tasty New York Cheese Cake for our anniversary. It was a nice overall experience.
