Our food adventure at Redlands Public Market (RPM) on Memorial Weekend 2026 didn't stop at savory and delicious from stops #1 Shrimp Corner, #2 Yugo Shokunin, #3 Beyond Biryani, and #4 Hen & Heifer. It was time to wind down at our #5 stop for some sweet and yummy dessert. It is no other than Take Ur Seat Lite (TUSL). TUSL is one of the OG food vendors at RPM. Its fusion menu consists of dishes with inspired flavors from American, Philippines, Korea, Japan and Hawaii. Just to name a few of their signature items... Longanisa Bowl, Belly2belly, Kimchi Fried Rice Omelette. They also offer cloud pancakes, breakfast, bowls, quick bites, pastries & desserts, coffee specialty, matcha & tea, and more. Both my daughters and I had already ate lunch. We were only here for dessert. We used the kiosk to order one Creme Brulee French Toast and one Creme Brulee Dessert. Interaction with the staff was limited to none. We sat right in front along the window. Our order did take about 15-20 minutes to be ready which I thought seemed long for what we ordered. It wasn't like they were super busy. French toast was stuffed with cream and topped with creme brulee plus a few slices of bananas and one strawberry. It was quite tasty and not too sweet. Homemade whipped cream was the highlight... SO GOOD! One small gripe was its very small portion. It only had 2 full slices of toast slapped together. For the price of $12.95, it should have came with 4 or 6 full slices of toast. Unfortunately, I can't see myself getting this item again. Creme brulee dessert was decent. Nothing spectacular. I do appreciate it was not super sweet. Once again, portion was small. At $6.95, it could be a little bit larger in size. Probably won't get this one again either. Although, I'm glad we tried it. Despite of my gripe on small portions, we'll still come back to try their fusion items, cloud pancakes, and drinks. They are worth checking out when you're in the Redlands area. Tips: Free parking at 101 W Stuart Ave that is within short walking distance to the market. Take caution at train tracks.

This is my second time trying Take UR seat! I went with the kimchi fried omelet again and it's was just as delicious as the first time ! Customer service was excellent! (Thanks Martin)There are so many options! If you're a foodie like me then this is a Must try !!

Banana Pudding Matcha

As far as customer service, we ordered though the kiosk and everything came out quickly. We got the banana pudding matcha(10/10), Oreo basque cheesecake(10/10) and a sea salt walnut chocolate chip cookie(8/10)(not pictured.) Their banana pudding is more like a thicker cold foam than pudding but I still loved it. Because of that, I would have preferred the lid where you sip instead of a straw. Everything was delicious, I would come again. I want to try their brunch food next time Not much indoor seating but there is also some outdoor seating on the patio. This is a cute small spot

Belly2Belly Rice Bowl

Been here a few times and the foods and drinks has always been good. Came here with the fam and ordered the Berry cloud pancakes, belly2belly rice bowl, and TUS style fries. We also got their pandan biscoff cookie and iced mango passion fruit tea which are not pictured. The berry cloud pancakes were good. I think the last time I ordered I liked the ube one more but nonetheless they were yummy. The kids liked it. The fries were also good. My bf had the belly2belly and thought that was good too. I thought the cookie was alright. Mango passion fruit tea was good. Service was efficient. I would recommend and try them out.

What i got back in november!

Noooooo when did this happen? Last november i ordered the ube cloud pancake and it was DELICIOUS and FLUFFY! Ordered it again yesterday 6/19 and it was garbage! The pancake was not an ube purple color and it was dry as hell!

4/13/26 Take Ur Seat Lite Redlands Public Market Redlands, CA... I ordered a Hot Cookie Butter Latté and Ube Cloud Pancake! I've had this pancake on the radar and finally got to try it! The Latté and Pancakes were so goooooood! Great service here at the front counter by Betzy!!! The place was very clean and music was nice and light for listening enjoyment while indulging breakfast. Plenty of inside and outside seating. Come check this place out!

Avocado Toast, Big 5 Plate
Sarah G.

First time and I was really impressed. I ordered the avocado toast and it was very tasty. I do think a balsamic drizzle or something similar would give it a bit more life but overall tasty! My husband got the Big 5 plate and really enjoyed it, especially the tater tots and bacon. The longaniza was also flavorful. The only thing missing from that dish was better hot sauce options, the packets they had weren't very tasty. I tried the Mexican Sidecar and wow... it was absolutely delicious. One of the best coffees I've had in a while and I'll definitely be coming back for that. If you have a sweet tooth, the strawberry cheesecake cloud pancakes are out of this world. The cheesecake pieces on top were incredible. I can't handle too much sugar, so I only had a couple bites, but they were amazing! I'll be back for a slice of cheesecake. Price: For the Big 5 breakfast, avocado toast, coffee and pancakes, our total came out to over $75 with tip. Overall, good experience and definitely worth a visit.

Take Ur Seat Lite inside the Redlands market place caught our eye. They had a strawberry matcha drink and a passion fruit drink calling our names. We ordered on their kiosk. Waited for about 14 minutes fir the two drinks. Kids enjoyed their drinks. Definitely would come back to try more.

"Poached" egg on Tofu Mushroom Rice Bowl was raw. Cashier claimed cook went by temperature.
Philo S.

Ordered a Tofu Mushroom Spinach Rice Bowl and the egg was raw! Took it to the cashier and she called it "poached". Told her I poached eggs and they don't come out raw. Offered another egg (asked for fried) and got it long after I stopped eating (tofu was undercooked but didn't bother telling them). Cloud pancakes were also doughy/undercooked in the middle, Threw away the strawberry matcha because it was mostly milk with mashed sour strawberries (should be cheong or macerated night before for sugar absorption), ordered a Tiramisu latte hot and it was mostly milk/bland (iced one my companion had was good, though). Absolutely awful food experience but at least customer service tried to be helpful. Chalking it up to cook inexperience and hope they learned from this review.

Ube Cloud Pancake
Whitney I.

I am so excited that Take Ur Seat opened up near me! I used to go to the one in Chino Hills, but that is a far drive since I moved out here in the IE. I was really excited to go to the Redlands Public Market. Street parking is limited in front of the market, but there is a parking structure about a block away that is free. I ordered the Ube cloud pancake, and it did not disappoint. I was so glad that it had the Ube flavor, coconut flavor in the cream, and the chunks of jackfruit were just the cherry on top. It was so good, I devoured it in minutes! I highly recommend this spot for whenever you are craving brunch!!!

Some of their must tries

I've heard from my boss that this place is delicious, so decided to stop by for breakfast today with my son. Right when you walk in, go all the way to the right and Take Ur Seat is in the corner. We had a berry cloud cake, a tri-tip burrito, and a banana pudding matcha. The staff is very friendly and greeted me right away. You can either order with the cashier or on the kiosk. The cloud cake is so fluffy and delicious! I just wish we could get more of the whipped cream topping on the side since it's two big souffle pancakes. The tri-tip burrito was a good size and delicious. I would have liked a green salsa with it, but they only had a tomato based salsa. And the banana pudding matcha is like a dessert in a drink. It's refreshing, sweet, and I would definitely get it again! There's some seating on the inside and outside of their cafe, but much more seating on the inside of the public market. Glad I finally came and definitely want to try more of their menu next time I'm in Redlands.

I'm a fan of Take Ur Seat so having a Lite in Redlands is a godsend. For those not in the know, this place is essentially Filipino fusion and brunch deliciousness. Note, the fluffy pancakes take a while but good thing you got plenty to do in the area while you're waiting. But when you get them, phew, it's fluffy and sweet. Always worth the wait. In terms of their other dishes, anything is good. The bowls are always solid options, nice and savory and generous portions. The meat is always so tender and flavorful. Longanisa sausage is also slightly sweet if you want to try something different. My personal favorite is the belly 2 belly bowl, who doesn't love melt in your mouth pork belly? Beyond the food, they serve up great drinks. Coffee is a banger, such as their spanish latte. So don't sleep on those either. All in all, this is a great addition to Redlands and affords a way shorter wait compared to its Rancho Cucamonga location.

Francesca F.

Ive never had anything like this before. I always see pancakes like this on tiktok but man its really good! It reminds me of the japanese pancakes i see! Im so proud of filipinos for putting out delicious desserts. My brother bought 2 ube cookies and I had a smores cookie. Definitely a go-to place for dessert in redlands!

Waited 20 mins for this.

We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We enjoyed our one cocktail each here and just had great conversation. It was a fun night because of the company, and also because we had a little adventure going to two amazing places!

We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.

Especially, when kids kept running up and down the stairs. They would also get in the way of the servers bringing food from the kitchen. Just seemed like an accident waiting to happen. What about the food?: Variety of options for either breakfast or lunch. I went with the crab cakes eggs benedict. Yes, my go-to. And my partner had the country benedict. You definitely get a lot for what you pay for. We both would have liked more sauce. Personally, I like my hollandiase with more tang. Ultimately, it was a satisfying meal but not necessarily something I craved to get again. But if i were to go back, I'd go with an omelet and something from the griddle. The service was attentive. We were given our drink orders right away and checked on multiple times. There was a busboy who was really attentive to fulfilling drink orders and cleaning tables once they became vacant. Amazing work ethic! Note: when you pay, you go up to the stand at the entrance to do so. Small parking lot shared with other shops, but there is some street parking. I hadn't been in a few months, and decided to drop in this morning to eat, have coffee and edit photos on my laptop. During the several hours there, I got to overhear exchanges between customers and staff. The morning shift boys were young, but friendly. Let me tell you, once the day shift crew came on, the energy shifted. Andy, I HIGHLY recommend you replace the tall, thin guy with the glasses. The whole time he was there, he acted as if he didn't want to be there. He was rude, stand offish, and completely disregarded customers. As soon as he BLATANTLY ignored a female customer who was trying to have a conversation with him but gave attention to her male counterpart, I was over it. Listen, I get it, he might have not wanted to entertain someone's story. But customer service means to acknowledge the customer and treat them with respect. I can't even count the amount of times I've divulged in conversation with people I didn't want to, but I still treated them like a human. The woman was visibility upset about how off putting he was. I packed my things, went over to the woman and told her feelings were valid because he had been dismissive towards others ever since he came in. I know you're not going to care about my review, I know you're not going to lose much money if I never come back. But people need to aware what kind of employees are here. As for the food and coffee - The ingredients no longer taste fresh on the breakfast pizza. It tastes cheap and rushed. The iced vanilla latte I had was mid at best, I forced myself to finish it. Which is disappointing because I have loved both for years. I think the young boys need some better training on how to make coffee, but at least they were personable. The young guy with long curly hair - keep up that positive energy. You're gonna go somewhere. Highly recommend bringing Quay back full time, maybe make him a manager or part owner because every time I've been there and he's makes the pizzas, everything is He's a staple, and is clearly loved by all the customers who were happy to see him when he walked in.
