Why have we waited so long to indulge!!!! Great vibes, great service and the fooooooood!!! The Red Wine Braised Beef Cheek with pot roast vegetables, harissa polenta, and lavender was DEEE-LICIOUSE so tender, so moist, fall apart in your mouth greatness! To say the least! And the Pachamamma Pork Chop with pine nut calabrian chili crisp, butcher beans, and greens was our delight! We requested a bottle of Chianti wine and they did not have one on the menu so our server made a suggestion and we went with it, what an amazing choice it was! To say the very least, Esther's kitchen did not disappoint! We will be back!

Esther's kitchen seems to be a popular spot for brunch! We arrived 2 hours earlier (due to our flight landing early) than our reservation time. It was a full house so the staff said they would add us to the wait list if anything opened up before. We didn't receive any notification and returned at our normal reservation to find half the restaurant empty. The hostess still made us a wait a few minutes beyond arrival before taking us to a table. A server quickly got us waters and told us about the specials but we were already set on what to order. We had the spaghetti pomodoro with meatballs and diavola pizza. The meatballs were too salty in my opinion but you can never go wrong with pasta or pizza! The restaurant was spacious and had a lively feel, but I would definitely recommend booking a reservation prior.

Came for brunch here as it was on everyone's must try list. Casual setting and very comfortable. Service was very good and food was generous and solid. My favorite dishes were the diavola pizza and side of meatballs. Butter lettuce salad was nice. Pasta wasn't bad but a little salty (we took leftovers home then watered it down a bit and it was much better!).

The best meal I had in Vegas, with one of the best dishes I've recently had! Just gonna jump right in with the highlights of the Tallagatel and anchovy butter. Both were phenomenal, I was literally texting someone while at dinner telling them how good the anchovy butter was because I couldn't believe how perfect it was. And the pasta, if I could only have one pasta dish ever again, it might be that. The umami was uneal. On to everything else, we had a large group and decided to go family style with most of the ordering so we could try a good variety of the menu. For apps we got the sourdough bread and butter, and tried 5 of the butters/spreads. Aside from the anchovy butter, the nduja and basil ricotta were a big hit. We also ordered mussels and tuna crudo, which I loved. For mains we got a Diavola pizza for the table, crab pasta, Tallagatel, Cacao e Pepe, and Tortellini. The crab pasta was another favorite, but the Cacao e Pepe and Tortellini fell short for me. Only two flops out of everything else isn't too shabby though. Service was great and so were the drinks and wines! After dinner we hit their speakeasy bar up top and enjoyed some of the other fun and different cocktails. We sat at the bar and had a great time chatting it up with the bartenders.

Came here for lunch with friends and I'm so glad that we did! It was honestly hard to pick one thing from the menu. I really wanted a sandwich but the pasta just looked too good. Their homemade ginger ale and strawberry lemonade was a yummy break from alcohol and really refreshing. The radiatore pasta that I ordered (add chicken) was divine. I typically don't get lemon sauce pastas because they tend to be way too sour, but the lemon cream was the perfect amount of tang with a huge punch of savory. I'm convinced that fun pasta shapes just make a dish taste better (the internet just told me that radiatore looks like old fashioned radiators...that makes sense). I had a taste of my friend's cacio e Pepe and it was also delicious!

Was out while in Vegas and a friend recommended this local favorite Italian restaurant. Fresh, Pasta! 700 + Degree pizza oven and salads what a feast. We started with an assortment of spreads and the fresh Sourdough bread, soft inside and so crunchy on the outside. The Salad was so delicious with a little spice to it. Then came the Brussel sprouts with a nice light crunch with pine nuts. Such an interesting favor. Then came the Fresh made daily pasta, one was the Zucca with sausage and fennel, It was so well made with just a hint of fennel. Followed by the Rigatoni with Crisp ham, and the Branzino perfectly cooked. We had the waiter choose the last pasta. Nick was terrific, great suggestions and wonderful service. always a full glass of water and just the right amount of food. place was great for two or for a party. Lots of space but you better have a reservation as this place is the locals fav. Oh so good!

I want to start by saying I would've given this place 4 stars but due to the service I knocked it down to 3. Here's how my experience went: My reservation was at 2:30 (party of 3) we arrived 10 mins prior and we were greeted and shown to our table immediately. We were then greeted by our waiter Lukas. He was friendly and took our drink order. My brother's drink came out 1st along with the assorted spread and sourdough bread we ordered. My drink took 15 mins after my brother's to come out. Now waiting for a drink is not a big deal. However, after I received my drink we placed our food orders. We ordered the Diavola pizza, Rigattoni pasta, new school parm sandwich and the proper breakfast. Our food did not get to our table until 3:20pm and it was not all brought out at the same time my I add. My brother got his breakfast dish 1st, my bf got his pasta at 3:30pm and then finally at 3:36pm I got my sandwhich. Well what we didn't get was the pizza we waited another 5/10mins for that! Our waited did apologize for the wait. I think this was a good opportunity for the manager to come over and maybe apologize for the wait or offer something small to show they care and that they were aware of how slow the food came out and that we had to wait for each dish. Meanwhile other ppl who were sat after us had received their food. Now I know this is not our waiters fault and he has no control over the kitchen but to wait almost an hour for your food and then for it not to come out together that is what made me give this place 3 stars. The Rigatoni was not as good as I thought it would be. I will say that the pizza and the parm sandwich is actually quite tasty. The cocktails are very good as well. The ambience is nice too.. now will I come back again I am not sure... maybe, maybe not .

I've visited Esther's Kitchen many times and realized I never left a review! Hands down I would give it 10 stars if Yelp allowed it! Service, quality of food and the attention to details and flavors in every dish is always remarkable. My most recent visit was on the weekend and we decided to explore the lunch options over the brunch options. We got several different items to share from the Italian Chopped, Meatballs, Cacio E Pepe pasta, Diavola pizza and the Roast Beef Dip. Everything was delicious. There were 3 of us and we ended up having leftovers from the pizza and 1 meatball! If you are visiting Vegas, this restaurant is worth the trip to the Art's District. This is a great spot to meet friends visiting and staying on the strip or a great spot for your next date night!

I love this place especially the staff at the bar... they're so kind and nice and make me feel so special I always order sourdough bread and take half of it home and it's worth the whatever $12 they charge lol Caesar salad with chicken is my fave ! Their chickens are organic and do yoga so the taste is delicious I also like their spaghetti! Ambiance is busy, happy, people eating and staff running I'm a regular so I'm biased: ) We brought the whole family and they loved it !

Very cool place I would love to go again to try more things. I would not recommend getting the spreads. We tried 3 and were disappointed with all. Would rather have tried a different appetizer. Meatballs were good- classic meatballs. My pasta was very good and very unique. I did try some of my friends gnocci and liked hers better so I would reccomend that next time. Definitely a place to get the pasta. Drinks were also very good and unique!

Wow crazy good. Last dinner on my 7 night trip to Vegas and by far the best. Ordered the sourdough bread with burrsta. Followed by the gem Ceaser salad. Pasta with meatballs, branzino were next. Dessert was the lemon curd cake with gelato. Excellent service and great ambiance. Food was tremendous and prices very reasonable compared to the strip. Make reservations early if you plan to eat here.

Now, my only favorite Italian restaurant. This place's so cute in the art district. The vibe is friendly warm and welcoming! So sad I don't live here in Vegas, because I'd be here everyday. This place is amazing, phenomenal, yummy, every adjective to describe good food, is this place! Jackie was our waitress and she recommended the best of the best. I love nothing more than trying a bartender's hand, thankfully they had Dealer's hand, which where they made a drink off menu, and boy, did they deliver every 4 drinks I had! Every picture I posted was what we had. I didn't get a picture of one thing, the Italian chopped! You just get the chopped, I'm not a salad eater, but that was salad and I'm still thinking of it!! You will not regret this place. 1000/1000 recommend!!

Ask the Community - Esther's Kitchen

Do they have a kids menu?

I did not see one there nor were there any children there. Menu is basically pasta and flatbread both of which can appeal to children.

Can you eat at the bar?

Yes, your best bet is right at 5pm. After the seats are gone, it’s first come first served by checking in at the host stand. We have an auxiliary bar upstairs where you can just get drinks or wait for your seat or table.

Is there a private dining room for small parties?

I'd call into the restaurant as there was a staircase, but it was blocked off so your possibilities may be high

    What is the corkage fee?

25 but if you buy a bottle we waive a bottle

Is there really _only_ one vegan option? :-(

We can modify 12 items on the menu to be vegan. All our servers can walk you through the. menu and what changes are made to the dishes.

What are the gluten free options? And do you guard against cross-contamination (for those of us with celiacs)?

It's pretty sparse since they make their in-house sourdough bread and pasta. I remember they have a cauliflower all's romana with anchovies, chili, spices and garlic- just ask for no breadcrumbs

Would you recommend for this spot for a graduation dinner? I have only been for brunch

Absolutely! We had my sister's wedding dinner here and they were great with our group of about 10. Definitely add it to the notes when you make your reservation, and try to make it far in advance.

    Do you offer gluten free?

Esther's Kitchen downtown does have some gluten-free options :)

What is the average wait time to get any seating for dinner on weekends for walk-ins? I've given up on trying to get reservations as it's always booked?

i walked in at about 11am on a Saturday with 30 minutes wait time. can't speak for dinner though

    Is it kid friendly?

    Yes

Is there a trick to getting a brunch reservation? The website for rest keeps showing an error and I have called a few times but keep getting a voicemail which I did leave a message?

Great question! The trick is - you can set a same day reservation using the Resy app. Sometimes you can call too, but if they're busy (often), they might not get to the phone unfortunately. Good luck! Also... Al Solito Posto in Summerlin has a… Read more

    Do you need reservation?

    Not currently at Esther's

Does Esther's Kitchen allow service animals in main dining area?

    Only on their patio area.

    Do they do Separate checks?

Hi! Will you cut and serve a cake brought by us for a birthday?

Call ahead and advise them, and they will do that for you.

Does the restaurant have its own parking lot?

No, arrive early so you can find street parking.

Can I bring my dog on the patio?

Heck ya! We love puppies and the weather is great too! Come sit on the patio, no worries

Paisley was a delight to chat with as we waited for only 10 minutes while seats opened up for us at the bar. I also got to check out the restroom, which boasts a high tech toilet with automated opening/flushing and a heated seat! We had the pleasure of meeting Michael our bartender and Yesi the bartender apprentice, and regulars Bill and Kim from Texas on one side of us, and Mario from California on the other as we spent the next hour and half savoring one luxury cocktail each and some complimentary snacks (seasoned pistachio nuts, cheesy crackers, and a little amazing bite that I can't remember the ingredients of). Welcome complimentary drinks: "Key to my heart" -- fun little rum drinks to start off with served in a spherical black case surrounded by dry ice! (See video). A bit sweet for my taste but tasty and just a little shot's worth (to be sipped). Cocktails: La Vie En Rose: (5/5) Rose infused gin, house made strawberry infused sweet vermouth, aperol, orange essence. Gorgeous spherical ice cube with a real flower frozen inside). Described as a summer Negroni. I chose it because I love Negronis and am always up for trying a variation on a classic like that. The Fountain (5/5): bourbon, Punt e mes vermouth (55 year old bottle!), orange essence. The Vault's take on the classic Manhattan. Michael gave us a taste of the punt e mes sweet vermouth and it was sublime. Both spectacular cocktails were definitely made for sipping and savoring. And to top it off! Little espresso shots at the end....mmm delectable dessert my bites to complete a flawless experience. We'll be back! Michael is a masterful mixologist and Yesi is an awesome apprentice! Highly recommend!

The only hint I'll give is that it's located on the casino floor. When we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess. She asked us if we had reservations or were walking in. I really appreciated this because the way she phrased her question told me they had availability and we would be granted entry. The bar is very small and seats about 30. Reservations are strongly encouraged, however we went on a Monday in February. If you're going on a weeknight during off peak season, you should be okay without a reservation. The hostess gave us the option of sitting at the bar or at a table. We asked her for her rec and she said the bar so that's what we chose. The decor is beautiful. The ambiance is dark and moody. It's perfect for a date night. We were greeted by both bartenders. I believe the bartender that made our drinks was Rory. He was very nice and knowledgeable about cocktails. He was able to answer our questions and make suggestions based on our preferences. As we browsed the menu, we were presented with welcome drinks in a fancy smoky container. I don't recall the name of the drink, but it had a lychee flavor with a sugar rim and it was good! Drinks are extremely pricey which is to be expected in Vegas. It's also on par based on where the speakeasy is located (hint hint). The cheapest cocktail was $30 so prepare yourself for the sticker shock. Some drinks were $80-$100! Sometimes you just have to treat yourself. I went with the Velvet Moon which was an interesting cocktail consisting of both gin and mezcal. It had flavors of hibiscus and it also had egg white which I absolutely love! The presentation was beautiful and I really enjoyed it! My friend went with the Basilico Bliss which he enjoyed. I didn't try any, but it looked really good. As we were enjoying our drinks, the staff presented us with savory bar snacks. They were tasty and were a perfect compliment to our cocktails. They do have food on the menu, but we had already eaten so we stuck with our complimentary snacks. As we were closing out, the staff presented us with a complimentary mini dessert. Rory described it as a Carajillo Jello shot. I don't like jello (I hate the texture), but I do love Carajillos. My friend does not drink coffee and does not like coffee flavor, so I ate both of them. They were so delicious (but the texture was off putting lol). I typically don't mention the restrooms in my reviews, but this one is worth mentioning. All I have to say is heated seats with a bidet! We really enjoyed our visit. Had the drinks not been so pricey, we probably would have stayed longer. If you enjoy speakeasies and/or craft cocktails, go have a drink at The Vault! The experience alone is worth it!
