Rigatoni bolognese and complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegarette.

For a hotel restaurant, I would consider this an excellent restaurant choice. There is a restaurant seating area and also a lounge area with bar that I would say is meant more so for hotel guests and is self seating. Admittedly, I didn't even look at the menu. I just based my selection on other reviews and I ordered the rigatoni Bolognese. The flavor was good, but the pasta was a little overcooked and I would've preferred it served a little more al dente. Service was great. I didn't catch my servers name but he was kind and attentive. He worked with me for wine selection and initially settled on the Bonanza Cabernet Sauvignon- a Caymus family wine. Being from the Napa area and a fan of Caymus cabs, I was surprised to not like this selection. Couldn't pinpoint what was wrong with it but not what I expected of a Caymus. Maybe the bottle had been opened for too long? I was expecting a more aggressive, smooth cab. My server was kind enough to follow up and when I said it was not my fave he offered to switch it up for me and recommended the Red blend or the Pinot noir. I had the opportunity to taste both and settled on the blend which ended up being another Caymus family blend - Conundrum Red blend. I felt it was more bold with flavor and unexpectedly changed the experience of the entree. I was already full at this point but gladly enjoyed the blend on its own. All "complaints" are preferential and wouldn't turn this place down on that alone.

Fantastic choice for off-strip Italian Steakhouse dining. We visited on a Resy reservation for 6pm and were promptly sat. Some of the best service we'd ever experienced in Las Vegas. Our waiter, Josh, kept our glasses full, gave us a history of the restaurant and hotel, and was overall very personable. With his help, we ordered the 20 Layer Lasagna and Rigatoni Bolognese. Both were excellent, thanks to Chef Garcia. The bolognese meat sauce is cooked all day and the rigatoni topped with a crispy pancetta. The portion was generous, and every bite flavorful. The 20 Layer Lasagna was also delightful. Both of our plates were empty in no time. Zio's was kind enough to gift us complimentary chocolates from Ethel M. A sweet touch, but we still opted for more dessert! The Olio Dolce was delicious: an olive oil cake topped with marscapone, poached pear, and a drizzle of olive oil. They also offer a variety of wines, both stateside and Italian. My husband enjoyed his glass recommended by Josh. We sat near the wine cellar and it is a beautiful piece, original to the restaurant. Thoughtful layout allowed for acoustics from the kitchen to travel all of the way to our table. The restaurant is very spacious, perfect for large parties and gatherings. Well designed, clean, and offering top-tier service, Zio's is worth your visit!

This is at the Renaissance hotel. They have a covered parking garage onsite that takes you to the lobby. The restaurant has really nice decor. The waiter was attentive and helpful. The food was some of the best Italian I've had in Vegas. They also had Michigan cider which was an added bonus for me. The place was quiet mid afternoon on a weekday but it was quiet so we didn't mind. I'd recommend this place. They offered validated parking so it was free too as an added bonus.

Probably one of the best lasagnas I have ever had. I was staying at the hotel where the restaurant was located and decided to give this place a try. The meatball appetizer was pretty good. You can tell the marinara tastes pretty fresh. The lasagna was one of the best lasagnas I have ever eaten. They have very unique way of making it. You can tell the pasta was fresh. It had a nice smooth lightly creamy cheese on it that wasn't over powering. The lasagna it self was cut into multiple thin layers that made it very fun and tasteful to eat. My friend had a crab pasta that he said was very good as well. The service was great.

Wow! This place was exquisite. We celebrated our anniversary here and they made us feel so special. The ambience and environment gives it a high-scale luxurious feeling. However, the warmth of the staff makes it feel more family-type. Particularly, Kristian, was extremely attentive and made our dinner seamless. We had the Truffle Arancini to start, Rigatoni Bolognese as one course, Crispy Potatoes, & Orata e Zucca as the other course. All delicious. Also, the Tiramisu is to die for!

We came here for my birthday celebration. Parking was pretty easy and they do validate at the front desk. You need to remember to bring your receipt from the restaurant though. The restaurant is really pretty and has a lot of comfortable seating. The tables are spaced out really well and it has an elegant, open vibe to it. The host was really nice and welcomed us well, giving us info on parking/validation and locals discounts. Our server was super nice and really attentive. The food was really good. We enjoyed the pumpkin pasta and a steak as our mains and started with a fennel salad and arancini. We finished the meal with tiramisu and their version was extremely delicious. Our cocktails were strong and really good. I was actually surprised at the cocktail menu. Super impressed. The only complaint I have was that they never acknowledged the birthday celebration. My husband was going to ask they put a candle in the tiramisu but it was ok. Overall though, we'll be back.

Zio is inside the Renaissance next to the Las Vegas Convention Center WEST Hall. Service is friendly and efficient. The food is delicious. The Cesear salad is dressed (possibly overly dressed) is HUGE. It really should be shared between 2 people or add chicken to make it an entree on it's own. The calamari is delicious - comes out piping hot, not overly breaded or oily at all. The dipping sauce is tangy and light - you'll need another! I like the fried red and yellow bell peppers that accompany it as well. The rigatoni is delightful. The pasta is cooked well. It's a solid go to. The sausage orchiette is also wonderful. A little on the oily side and very little broccolini. I'd probably wouldn't order it again until the ratio is improved. our server gave us complimentary chocolate chip cookies and they were delicious. BIG, crispy/crunchy on the outside but chewy in the middle with generous amounts of chocolate chunks and chips. SO NICE

    What we ordered.

The service at Zio's was on another level. Joshua was incredible and single handily heighten our experience. The food was very good and I enjoyed all of the dishes, but except one. Almost a perfect dinner for me. Situated on the first floor of the Renaissance Hotel, Zio's is set right near the lobby of the hotel. With a classic theme mixed with modern decor, you feel like you're in a hotel restaurant, but an elevated one. Zio's does offer validated parking if you park in the Renaissance garage. And while it's tucked away behind an unassuming bar, there are enough signs to help you find the hostess desk. We ordered the following: Truffle Arancini. This was by far the star of the night for us. The delicate hints of truffle with the extra crunch, very well made. Burrata and Beets. This was a miss. I like the idea, but I felt like the execution of the beets made it unpleasantly salty. While I understand the concept of using salt to bring out the natural sweetness of the beets, it didn't work for me because it was too salty against the delicate sweetness of the beets. I like everything else on the dish including the pistachios. Lasagna. Delicious. 20 gentle layers of lasagna was cut into fine strips and then seared on both sides. You have a nice molding flavors, which I enjoyed. Parmesan truffle fries. Well done and the truffle dipping sauce complemented the fries very well. Chocolate cake. Surprise for my daughter's birthday. Very nice and well done. The whipped cream felt home made and the vanilla bean ice cream works very well with everything. Near perfect experience for me. Thank you, Zio's and Joshua, for the experience and hospitality you showed for my daughter's birthday dinner.

Didn't know it's inside of the hotel but the food and service are excellent, portions are big and prices are fair as well

My friend invited me to Zio's for dinner, and I had such a great experience! The ambience is absolutely beautiful and makes it such a nice spot for a dinner out. I also loved their mocktails--they were delicious and actually felt fun and elevated, which I always appreciate. The food was great too, and I'd definitely come back! Wonderful service too.

The food, service, and ambiance were all exceptional! Our server, Joshua, was an absolute delight and provided some of the best service we've experienced. Toward the end of our meal, Chef Chris personally came out to check on us and surprised us with a raspberry ricotta cake, which was easily one of the best desserts we've ever had. We will definitely be returning and recommending this hidden gem to our friends and family here in Las Vegas. As an added bonus, they validate parking at the front desk and offer a locals discount. Highly recommended!

Our waitress was super friendly and really encouraged us to try some things because we really weren't sure about the menu. She was super attentive and we really appreciated that. The reason I'm giving this a three star review (and I feel bad doing so) is because I genuinely hated the drinks. Like viscerally hated. The menu really was a struggle as someone who's a gin drinker. There wasn't a lot on the menu which I'm often used to, but the drinks were either cloyingly sweet or incredibly tart and bitter. There seems to lack of balance and there were a lot of really weird flavors that really didn't seem to go together. Now I can't speak on every single drink on the menu, but I did try a couple that are either premixed or on tap and I really struggled with them. I was excited about the ginger drink, and I was given a taste of their homemade ginger beer, and it felt like it was going to burn a hole through my stomach. Which is typically not my reaction to anything gender flavored. I just think the balance of flavors are not quite right and so certain things overpowered other flavors. I ended up really not wanting anything on the menu because everything was so rum based and I really don't like rum, so they offered to make me a cocktail with some flavors that I liked. They told me they had passionfruit, which I was really excited about. It usually is a really nice combination of sweet but not too sweet and good fruity flavor. I had a passionfruit gin drink made, and it was absolutely gorgeous coming out. Unfortunately, what I didn't know was that the passionfruit that they have is on the very sour and tart side (contained by a staff member later), which has never been my experience with passionfruit in the past. One of the things that I told the waitress was that I really don't like sour. I like citrus but not something that is so overly sour that it tastes like I'm eating a warhead. And the drink that was made for me had both lemon and this really tart passionfruit to the point all I could taste was this awful sour flavor. I felt bad and drank it and was not about to ask it off the bill because they were so kind about everything. The drink ended up only being nine dollars and I genuinely wonder if they undercharged me, but I felt a lot better that that's all I paid for it. Aesthetically it was beautiful, but it tasted horrible. I tried my friends drink, which was a play on a margarita with Mezcal, and that was also incredibly bitter and sour. I'm not someone who needs disgustingly sweet drinks, hence me not liking rum, but I do need a balance of sweetness with the other flavors. My friend thought her drink was OK, but she said she wouldn't order it again. I would definitely give this location another shot if I could figure out a drink that would work, but it seems their drinks either are very sour or very sweet and I'm hoping that at some point they will be able to find a good balance between the two.

I love how it is decorated!!! It's giving dark academia, mixed with a séances, sprinkle in a little bit of dried flowers and top it with a tarot card. They have such a variety of seating, they have large loungey couches in the front, smaller couches with chairs and tables as you go inside, long and larger tables for larger groups in the back, a massive bar area with seating, as well as a gorgeous patio with bar seating as well as tables and loungey bench areas. It is comfy, cozy, and an amazing place to just chill and hang out. The music is always perfect. The lighting is the perfect dark dim. I have never felt more at home somewhere in my life. It is my happy place. It doesn't matter what I'm doing. If I go there it makes me happy! I absolutely love that they have a mocktail menu and that they rotate the drinks every season. I don't drink and also a lot of my friends don't either and their mocktail menu is a winner every single time, I've never had a drink there that I did not enjoy. Honestly, I would love if they had more mocktail options than they already do. I'm really glad that they added snacks!! Their snack tray is amazing I get it almost every time I'm there. The only thing I would like is for there to be more variety of snacks! I do love the chocolate covered espresso beans but somehow, I am the one that ends up finishing them and then I don't sleep... which is definitely a me problem but like... they're addictive man... we need something else chocolate, like, of course keep the chocolate covered espresso beans, but like maybe chocolate covered raisins or chocolate covered berries? I've been going there since they opened and from the moment I walked in I was in love. I have watched as this bar has continued to grow, and it only gets better with age. The Laundry Room is dead, long live the Laundry Room. The remodel that took place during Jan to May 2026 saw a wide amount of change from Corner Management, the mother company of LR. They got rid of the absolute corner stone of the lead bartender, Anthony, and redecorated the place to look more like the sister bar, Doberman Drawing Room (5 Stars). The remodel was absolutely needed, as the regulars and Dean's List could point out, the place was kind of falling apart. From water warped bar top, uncomfortable chairs, and chipped paint/worned carpet, you would think this place WAS left over from the Prohibition era. What sets this establishment apart from any of the pretend speakeasy on the strip is the atmosphere. At any given time, you could cram 16 people there at a time, even with the reduced drinking time cut from 2 hours to 90 minutes, this place could only cycle thru 50 to 60 people from the reduced nightly opening of 4 hours from 6 hours previously. This make LR special, not some faux speakeasy in Cosmo or Resort World that could jam in 80 people per hour with room to spare. Gone is the rugged identity of the old laundry room for El Cortez, this is spiced up, every square inch of the wall is covered with some art piece, very much different from the Depression era decor. Some art selection are just straight up chaos from the management, the main cherub piece behind the bar is just insanity. The new master of house, Davey, showed skills with his new 14 drink menu, but fell short of what made LR great in the past 14 years. Now, the man had just two months to create his drink list and per himself, had to start from the scratch from when he took over.. So, with that said, let's focus on the drinks. Hemingway Dalguiri, Dust + Ether, and High Noon Static - all great in taste, presentation, and talent, abet we can see the hesitation when making his own drinks, thus slowing down service by quite a bit. My party saw him struggle making 6 drinks at once, 4 of them the same drinks. Recommendation from someone else, maybe record the drink making process and try to eliminate non productive habits and motions via video viewing. Since Davey is a visionary, looking in the past is a deal breaker for him. If you are trying to finish up a previous menu for the Dean's List, the joke is on you, that is a no. Where the hostess (the only person that survived the purge from the remodel) explained to him that exception needs to happen to keep the Dean's List going, the answer was a no since no one at management told him about this. When asked about what will the new requirements will be for the future, it's simple, finish the menu before it's replaced with no chance of catching up. Once a menu is done, it's done. I guess it's easier to keep the drinks under control with less ingrediencies needed behind the bar, but wait a minute... drink number 15, Research and Development, that should give Davey some leeway to non menu drinks right? Turns out, not so much. Sidecar- cognac, orange liqueur, lemon juice. Simple right? He leaves the room to get something from Commonwealth... didn't management installed a new fridge to hold the larger ice cubes, where previous bar keep have to venture out all the time? Turns out, there was no Cognac or any Brandy in the Laundry Room. I can see how things are shaped, strict bottle control is for the benefit of the bar, not for the customer. There is now Vodka, foam, and milk wash but lost Cognac or Brandy, but besides the freedom of choices were also compounded with complete lack of rules. For the last 14 years, the hostess and bar staff on rotation were friendly yet firm about house rules. First given upon entering the secret or window doors, then by the bartender after an aperitif is given (now eliminated). No photo, religion, politic, standing at the bar, name dropping, brawling, telephone calls, PDA, and smoking, plus don't be creepy, be patient, and know your limit. Most of these were not enforced the first 2 times my party of regulars have visited since the remodel. The cardinal sin of allowing one single 4 top to seat 2 people at a time is just wild. But hey, no rules are listed on the new simple menu and none giving at the door or at the seats. So what is this place now? 20 to 23 dollars for a drink plus more for popcorn. All for the experience of being in a noise warfare between Commonwealth and La Mona Rosa's speaker systems, with LR's own music turned up high, and the piano only used one night of the week. I would recommend Doberman Drawing Room as of now for better drinks options, less noise, and vibe. The new menu to replace Fear and Laundry will come out this Fall, will be bring some regulars with me to check on LR again and hopefully give more than 2 stars on the next review.

The atmosphere immediately took my wife and me back to our early adult years in the best possible way. The dim lighting, mellow crowd, and music all worked together perfectly, and somehow the playlist felt like it matched the crafted cocktails and overall vibe of the room. One of the things we appreciated most was being able to actually sit together and have a conversation without having to yell over loud music or a packed crowd. It felt relaxed, mature, and genuinely enjoyable--a breath of fresh air compared with so many bars that seem focused more on being loud than creating a good atmosphere. The cocktails were excellent, the bartenders were top-notch, and the entire experience felt thoughtful from beginning to end. If you're looking for a place with a mature vibe, great drinks, good music, and an atmosphere where you can actually enjoy the person you're with, Velveteen Rabbit is a must-visit.

I feel like this place can be easily missed since the building is all black, but definitely worth stopping in for. Vibes are very dark and intimate, yet lively. I am not sure how to explain it, but I liked it. Lol Somehow you can make a reservation, but I haven't looked into it. There were a bunch of seating against the wall on the couches but they were all reserved. My friend and I ended up at the bar in the "standing room" which was fine! Their seasonal menu is Conspiracy Theory based. I from that menu and my drink was called the Moon Landing Hoax, which was recommended to me but pretty strong in my opinion. I will say that the aesthetic of the drink was super cool with the astronaut. My friend ordered from their regular menu. She enjoyed her Repo Espresso Martini and she would order that again! All in all, I still like this bar a lot! I would come back again.

We invited two friends and we had separate reservations but they were able to seat us together! We enjoyed the welcome cocktail, which was tequila based and presented in a coconut kinda thing that was overflowing with dry ice for effects. So fun. They gave us these books for menus! Each cocktail had a story like description and a gorgeous photo. They have two parts to the cocktail menu, with the back end ha I g market price cocktails. Watch out! The market price old fashioned was $295 due to the vintage old forester in it. The cheapest cocktail I saw was $38, the velvet moon, which my husband has had many times. He had it again, as his second cocktail, so that I would try it; it is so good. His first cocktail was the Passion's Serenade $45. What a cool idea and it was tasty. Most drinks were around $60. I took my time and ordered the Liberty's Torch. I had no idea they would bring the elements to the table and make it right in front of me! Wow! My second cocktail was the Maison de Luxe $70. Our friends had the velvet moon as well! And they had some sort of Mexican style drink like a cantarito which came with a little sombrero hat that they got to keep! I was impressed that they brought a second snack set for our friends who joined us a little late. I was glad I could eat everything and not have to share! Haha This place is so unique but very expensive. We asked for the check so we could get on to dinner and they surprised us with four gelatin shots! Thank you! We will be back.

As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with beautiful decor and a cozy, intimate atmosphere. The service was outstanding. Our bartender was super friendly and every drink were crafted and presented beautifully. The cocktails are definitely on the expensive side, but you're paying for the entire experience. They also bring out complimentary snacks and dessert jellies, and everything is served with incredible attention to detail. It's a small space, so I'd recommend making a reservation. If you're looking to treat yourself to a unique cocktail experience in Las Vegas, I would definitely recommend The Vault.
