Mae Dalys excelled in all categories. Mae Dalys waitstaff, bartender, chef and owner strive to give you a 5 star experience. Having dinner at a comparable restaurant made me appreciate the excellence of Mae Dalys. It is our go to place for out of town visitors, special occasions and anytime we want a 5 star experience. What a wonderful place and I'm mad we waited too long to try it!! They usually are closed on Sundays, but they made an exception for Father's Day and I'm so happy we were able to try them out. My picky husband was amazed how good the Porterhouse was! My son and him raved about it! I loved my branzino and we thoroughly enjoyed Caesar salad and Bacon sampler for appetizers. And what a pleasant surprise was to find authentic soufflé on the menu! We had to have the chocolate one, and boy oh boy how delicious it was!!!!! JUST got home from an amazing pre-Mother's Day dinner with my wife and mother-in-law. From the parking attendant Heather, to our server Taylor (who is expecting her first baby), to, of course, the owner Richard, and the hostess and other staff at the front of the house, Mae Daly's is by far the BEST steak house in Vegas. The ambiance and motif, forties-style, make for a beautiful place. You feel you've been transported back in time to the Prohibition Era. The music is pleasant - appropriate and not overwhelming. The best part? NO televisions! I hate restaurants with TVs!! The staff were all so welcoming. I know it is a cliche, but they made us feel like we were invited guests to their home. Really! Richard came by a few times to chat. A sincere pleasant touch. Not forced. Just a casual, laid back and elegant experience. Now to the food. The complementary croissant and cornbread to die for! Literally. The Cobb Salad was the best I ever tasted. Beautifully presented. The steaks...perfect! The sides of Corn with Bone Marrow, Fries, Mashed Potatoes and Creamed Spinach were spot and massive servings. So you all don't think I am kissing up, I would prefer not to have my Side on my Main Plate. It is a Side, after all. But that's me being weird. I don't like my protein touching my veggies. The Steak was cooked with a nice sear and had a wonderful flavor. Don't tell Richard, but I think it was more than 8 ounces. We were just walking by when we stumbled upon this restaurant, zero research. I think this was the best meal I've ever had! The steak was charred and cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were truly the best I've ever had. Service was very nice and friendly, though she didn't know the full capability of the bar. The bartender really knew what he was doing. I came to Vegas for a Tennis event and wanted to go to a place that I haven't been to yet. I wanted some where nice but not too far priced. After looking at the reviews and the pricing , availability I came up with Mae Daly's. The place wasn't too far down the Strip which I had to worry about since I didn't rent a car this time. Short trip. I took a Lyft here and it was an average price to get here. It has a parking lot so there is parking If you need it. The place is right down from the Strat. When I walked into the place.. wow it was really old school and very romantic. I loved it and so did the wife. The look was really classy and stylish. I of course had made a reservation and this was just at dinner time. 6PM. There were a lot of people already here. The hostess gave us three tables to pick from all of them close to the door which isn't a nice place to sit. However, the seat we did pick was a love seat against the front window. It was so romantic and lovely. Perfect for a night out with the wife. Our waitress introduced herself and asked what kind of water we wanted. I asked for a Scotch and or Cognac list. I didn't see anything that tickled my fancy so i asked if they had Remy and if they had XO, neat of course. She brought me back a snifter. We were eating all day so we picked light. The wife wasn't to hungry. I got the bone in ribeye and she got the mushroom risotto. Everything was fantastic and so flavorful. Just the right size for us that night. It didn't look like much but we were stuffed. Had to look at the dessert menu. our server recommended the Tre Leches Cake. it was one of their favorites and of course scratch made. It was wonderful. Loved every bite. This place was perfect and we had such a good time. We will have to come again and get more to eat hahaha. They have a large bar room but I didn't venture over to it. My wife ended up eating most of it. Prime Filet Mignon 8oz - Medium rare, cooked perfectly. The shoestring fries and cauliflower were also cooked perfectly. And I do not even like cauliflower?!?! NY Cheesecake - My choice of dessert, and my favorite of the 3 desserts. Went to Mae Daly's around 530pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was pretty empty. The entrance was a little confusing. There were 2 places that could have been the host stand, but no one was there to check us in. We waited a few seconds and a woman on a knee scooter came to check us in. She asked if we'd like the bar area or the dining room, we chose the bar. It took a bit for someone to bring us drink menus, we ordered Sazerac's. They are our favorite, and it's hard to find a place that makes them right. They were perfect! Our server brought us dinner menus, however, online, it showed a 5 o'clock menu available for our reservation. ( 89.00) We asked if it was still available and he said yes, and then brought a different menu over. My husband and I both ordered the special menu. It was quite a lot of food. I got the chopped salad ( very fresh and very tasty), an 8oz filet ( perfectly cooked at medium rare) 2 sides( I asked only for 1 because it was way too much food) mashed potatoes, and a desert ( cheesecake) which I ended up declining at the end. ( again, too much food for me!) My husband got the same entree, but a Caesar salad, creamed spinach, fries and a chocolate mousse. Everything was delicious! What a great deal for that amount of food! I'm really torn on this one! Let's start from the beginning...plan to Valet Park (no self parking). Didn't have my Tesla key with me so was allowed to park it myself. Valet guy was extremely friendly and nice about it. Outside shares a lot with a lodge of sort (old motel) and across from the Strat so not the cleanest areas of town. Several homeless wandering the area (sad problem in Vegas). Once inside were a bit confused where to check in. Lady with a rolling leg brace thingy was to the left and didn't exactly acknowledge us but we determined she was the hostess. A gentlemen came toward and greeted us, then she said hi and took my name to verify our reservation. Seated at a cushy couch with big table we had to push around to get in/out (restroom visits, etc). While nice for a lounger, not the greatest to eat a meal at. Place is decorated perfectly, very clean and lovely ambiance. Staff was ver friendly BUT...for a Saturday at 5:30-7:30 it felt they were understaffed. The gentlemen that treated us is clearly the manager, doubling as bartender, tripling as water boy. Ok, the food... Bread service - this one is weird. One piece of cornbread and one croissant per person. Odd pairing indeed and even more odd bread choice for a steakhouse. Bacon Sampler - is a must try! 5 different flavored strips + a bacon jam. Excellent. French Onion Soup - it's different. Heavy rosemary/thyme flavor profile. So, very savory, not sweet at all like most French onions. Not bad, just different. Reminded me of a turkey dinner soup. Wild mushroom side - my wife's thing, not mine. She said it wasn't a $15 side, just OK. The steak - we went for the wet aged boneless ribeye. Couple things....the COOK was perfectly as ordered, medium rare plus. Nailed it! The seasoning....another weird one. It was good but the strange thing, the taste of the ends reminded me of the smell if you've ever followed a big rig full of cows on the highway or driven near Kettleman City on I-5 in CA. the center pieces were great! Dessert - chocolate soufflé. Good! Cannoli - provided free, even better! Cocktails - good. Nothing to write home about. Overall friendly service, nice atmosphere, and decent food. But didn't wow me and not sure what all the hype is I've seen online. My husband and I found Mae Daly's completely by chance, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by how beautiful the restaurant is. The décor, bar, seating, and overall atmosphere make you feel like you've stepped into old-school Las Vegas with a touch of elegance and charm. What really stood out was the service. Every single person treated us like royalty. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. We even had the opportunity to meet the owner, who was incredibly friendly and took the time to talk with us. That personal touch made the evening even more memorable. Tommy was exceptional! The whole staff was! And then there was the food. The steak was a classic steak done right, but somehow it was one of the best steaks we've ever had. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and incredibly tender, it reminded us that sometimes simplicity executed perfectly is what makes a meal unforgettable. The roasted chicken was just as impressive--cooked to perfection, juicy, flavorful, and about as close to perfect as you can get. Even the asparagus was something out of this world. I'm struggling tremendously with this review because I REALLY wanted to love this place and had high hopes going in as it's an independent non-casino restaurant in a hopefully gentrifying north-Strip area. Unfortunately the food flavors were not up to par in many areas and the price point definitely isn't supported by the food experience. To start with the very good aspects - the service is phenomenal. We dined with another couple on a Tuesday night and the staff was so welcoming and friendly. Everyone greeted us with a smile and they went out of their way to be attentive in every way from promptly clearing plates, delivering food, filling water glasses etc. The restaurant interior is in a super cute speakeasy theme which we loved. For the purposes of this review I'm only going to comment on the food I ordered as I didn't taste everything on the table. They offer a complimentary bread service of cornbread and a croissant which is always appreciated. I ordered the French onion soup as an appetizer and it was a lovely presentation encased in lots of delicious melty cheese. However the soup itself was absolutely flavorless. It didn't taste bad per se, it was just so watery I had to dump copious amounts of salt into it from the shaker on the table just to get anything remotely resembling what should be a deep unctuous broth. For my entree I ordered the salmon and I advised the server to please request the kitchen to not overcook it. When in arrived and I took my first bite I could immediately tell it was dry and way overdone. Just a big disappointment for a $48 piece of fish. I will say that one of the other people at our table ordered the filet and I was able to try a piece and it was quite good. I guess it's my fault for ordering fish at a steakhouse... The sides we ordered were hit or miss. Mushrooms were well prepared and actually seasoned properly and the roasted carrots had a nice glaze with a crunchy nutty garnish. The baked potato was a baked potato - nothing special and the steak fries were not good. Brutally undercooked and tasted like they could have come frozen out of a bag. For dessert we shared the chocolate soufflé which was just ok. Again it lacked a ton of flavor. They also served each of us a complementary mini cannoli which, ironically, was probably the tastiest thing I ate all night. Again I hate to leave a negative review for a locals place like this but the food, while utilizing quality ingredients for the most part, is lacking in flavor to the point that we won't return. Dinner for four was $567 before tax and tip which included three cocktails, two glasses of wine, four each of appetizers, entrees and sides and one shared dessert. First off, the valet parking is free! Inside, you are walking into a visual feast for your eyes. The decor is visually elegant. The beautifully appointed chandeliers are fabulous. This restaurant appears upscale and yet welcoming to all. Some people were very casually dressed and some were very dressy. Now to the culinary delight! Tomas, the chef, was remarkable. We were greeted by Taylor, a most delightful and attentive service professional - tending to our every need. The owner, Richard came around to each and every table to greet us and ask if there was anything else we desired. Very rare in today's world! He was warm and personable. Now the food: I would say it was exceptional. Starting with either corn bread or croissant and butter. Then we had the most delectable giant shrimp cocktail. Then we were served a rack of different bacon - cooked to perfection! We were give a small taste of cilantro and shrimp and lobster bisque - impeccable. By this time, I wish I hadn't ordered an entree! My friends all had salad , which, in itself, could have been a main meal. The filet was tremendous. I had a huge piece of salmon in a butter sauce that was sautéed. The chicken in a special red sauce was marvelous. Needless to say, you can't go wrong visiting this little gem of a restaurant across from the Strat on the Las Vegas Blvd. I rate this restaurant A+++. We were celebrating my good friend, Rosie's, birthday. The special vanilla cannolis and the cheese cake also was a big surprise! Enjoyed our experience -- started with a sazerac and old grandad old fashioned -- both first-rate. grass-fed fillet and dry aged ribeye were well prepared -- good char, done to order, tender, and tasty. Among the sides, shoestring potatoes, asparagus, and corn, all were well done but the corn surprisingly was the star of the show! Only downside was the grand marnier soufflé which was a bit too dense, not as light and airey as expected. We were seated in the bar area which became somewhat noisy as the evening progressed but not to the point that it affected our ability to converse. Allergen info: they were able to easily accommodate a gluten allergy as well as dairy as everything is fresh made. It does back up to a random little hotel pool which is quite an interesting Vegas feel. Food- the steak is what left me trying to decide on 4 or 5 stars. It was great cut of meet that didn't need a sauce to spice it up however it was probably just a slight notch below a few other premier steak places I have been across the country. Could have used a slightly harder sear. It was cooked to the correct temperature however. The Brussels weren't my favorite bite as the combo of the spice and almonds and apples just didn't do it for me. The bacon sampler appetizer was good with plenty of different flavor options. Stumbled across a hidden gem. When coming to Las Vegas is difficult to pin point a steakhouse that is above the Las Vegas steakhouse standards due to the influx and high bar set. This place was incredible. Didn't have a reservation, Wednesday night at the beginning of February. Restaurant wasn't overly busy, we were thankful as we were seated promptly. The inside reminded us of our time in New Orleans with copper walls. Our server was Orion and he was attentive and knowledgeable. We stayed with the 25 year Macallan served table side. Great experience! Complimentary sweet corn bread and whipped butter to start the night. Ordered the Surf and Turf. Our filet was cooked perfectly to medium rare and the lobster was excellent! Also indulged in their mushroom risotto at our side because why settle for their normal sides when you are able to split a main and have it as your fancy side. After a long and exhausting day at Zion National Park, I walked into Mae Daly's starving and simply looking for somewhere close to my hotel. I ended up having one of the most memorable dining experiences of my trip. The atmosphere immediately stood out. Calm, intimate, and surprisingly quiet for Las Vegas. When the owner came by and asked how everything was, I told him how much I loved the vibe. He joked that they are usually packed but somehow it was empty tonight. Then within minutes, the place started filling up. A group came in and wanted my table for the view. The staff politely asked if I would be willing to switch seats and even offered to buy me a drink. The way they asked, with genuine respect, really impressed me. I agreed, and they kept thanking me. Soon after, even more guests arrived, and the energy in the restaurant completely changed. The owner later came back smiling and said I must be his lucky star, because right after I walked in, the restaurant suddenly got busy. To top it all off, after I finished my meal, the kitchen surprised me with complimentary dessert and their signature sweets. I am visiting from China, and this is my first time in Las Vegas. The dining area is open and there's plenty of space between the tables. The staff is sharply dressed and very friendly. Beef Carpaccio - Fresh beef cuts Bacon Testing - Thick juicy bacon for the bacon fans Truffle Honey Roasted Carrots - This was my favorite. We were seated near the entrance and not the loveseat which was a disappointment. The lady from the next table kept the noise level so high and she talked the entire dinner. Love the vibe as we entered and the classic cars outside to add to the vintage feel. Ordered the bacon sampler which is an experience. The caesar salad was meh then for main we got the Porterhouse for 2 with the potato gratin and wild mushrooms as sides. Really really good . The chocolate souffle should be ordered right away bec it takes time to make. Carrie gave great service and we chatted with the owner Rich. They are very pleasant and made our experience great. The Mary Pickford cocktail is good if u want sweet. Just wish they do something special for occasions like anniversaries. An awesome steakhouse in the city with so, so many great steakhouses. This is across from the Strat and is technically on the strip but doesn't feel that way. We had an excellent dinner! My wife loved the oysters. The bread (corn and croissant) was very tasty. We had red wine and the Chianti I had was particularly smooth and velvety. We had filets which were fantastic. Perfect temperature and not too over-seasoned. For sides, we had the steak fries (awesome) and the asparagus (good but a little too lemony). For dessert we had the chocolate soufflé and it was ok. Apparently I'm not a big lover of soufflé so I would order something else next time. The service was awesome and even the owner Rich came over and chatted with us for a few mins. We visited twice during our New Year's trip--once for a full dinner on New Year's Eve 2025 and again two days later for drinks and appetizers. Located just a block away from the Sahara, this spot is a hidden gem that we cannot recommend highly enough. Coming from Chicago, we have very high standards for a good steakhouse, and we rate the steaks here a perfect 10 out of 10. Everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. WSOP Day 1. My WSOP always begins with a gathering of poker buds over slabs of grilled cow and everything that goes with. This time it's at Vegas' newest, mid tier, pseudo off Strip eatery (technically on the Strip but in the badlands past the Strat). A classic to start, oysters Rockefeller; plump, juicy, properly cooked oyster topped with a creamed spinach, all enrobed in a rich, anise forward Pernod sabayon. Crispy bacon and trout roe finish off the tasty mouthful. Another classic, Piedmont beef tartare made rich with a cured egg yolk. It is classically enhanced by capers and cornichons. The soft tartare pairs surprisingly well with warm pillowy parker rolls. Finally, the foie gras gaufrette, OMG. Take two pieces of Belgian waffle, top one with pan roasted foie and the other with a centimeter thick piece of foie torchon. The richness is cut with a delicious, smooth orange chutney. The cow. 32oz USDA Prime, 21 day wet aged porterhouse and an 18oz USDA Prime, 21 day wet aged then 28 day dry aged bone in ribeye to share. Well trimmed. Great sear. Cooked to temp and well seasoned. Exactly as expected but nothing about the aging or the seasoning makes it stand out. All good. No complaints on the rich, umami charged three cheese potato gratin. The standout, the truffle honey roasted carrots. Sweet on sweet (carrots and honey glaze) teases out the sweet beefy notes and minerality of the steaks. Do save room for a soufflé. Perfectly made. The Grand Marnier cream that finishes has just a hint of alcohol that hasn't cooked off to give it an almost zesty finish and prevents it from becoming cloying. Sharable but why? Straightforward but well represented list of brown libations. Typical markup. Well chosen wine list. Average bottle price $200. Very personable service. A very reasonable mid tier steakhouse with enough charm and character to keep you coming back. read more

I am a Las Vegas local and I decided to have dinner at Mae Daly's on Christmas Eve with my wife and son. I've been to May Daly's a few times before and always had a great dinner, great service and nice atmosphere. However this evening was not so great!! The waitress was very nice and we ordered our meal. I ordered the four rose's filet Mignon 8 oz for $100. The steak came out and had no flavor and the gravy had no taste. I was not happy, I contacted the waitress and advised her I wasn't happy with the flavor of the steak. She immediately apologized and asked if there was something else on the menu I would like to order. I told her that I would like the bone in ribeye for $100. She said she would get that for me. About a minute later the owner came over and told me that he could NOT exchange the filet for another steak and that I would have to order another non meat dish. He said " if you don't like the filet you won't like the ribeye." I've had the Ribeye there and it was great. Needless to say I was taken back by his response. I told him the filet and ribeye was an entirely different cut and that's what I wanted. He again said he wasn't going to allow me to order that. He wasn't very nice about it either. I looked over the menu again and since my heart was set on having a great steak, i decided not to order an entrée. The entire meal was $300 minus my filet. THEY OFFERED NOTHING TO MAKE IT RIGHT!! Not great customer service in my opinion. His response ruined our Christmas Eve dinner and we promptly left. My advice to anyone who goes to Mae Daly's, make sure you know what to order because they won't exchange any meat. I recently had the pleasure of going to Mae Daly's again. It is awesome. As always, the meal started a fresh baked croissant. It is incredible, like the best croissant I have ever had, and I don't even especially like croissants. On top of that, the butter is soft and fluffy. It spreads easily and is absolutely delicious. I wish every meal started this way. Next I had Al Capone's favorite drink, the South Side. It is a gin-based drink that was quite strong and not sweet at all despite having sugar in it. I drank it all with no problem, although didn't especially like it, but I'm glad I tried it. I ordered the Mae Daly Chopped Salad, which came with all sorts of goodies like guanciale, artichokes, olives, and eggs. It was lightly dressed and oh so delicious. If you want an amazing "normal" salad, this is for you. After that, I had the Four Roses Filet Minion Au Poivre. I was expecting "roses" but there were none visible. They must be in the sauce. The Au Poivre sauce was interesting and yummy, and the steak was cooked to perfection. I love how the steaks at Mae Dalys have a light char on the outside while the inside is still succulent and juicy. For sides, I had the Mashed Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts. Both were excellent and I would definitely order again. We skipped deserts today (although the Tres Leches cake is incredible). We were given two crunchy cannolis that rounded out the meal nicely. The service is impeccable. From the sharp valet attendants to the attentive wait staff to the owner, everyone is kind and clearly knows what they are doing. They really make the place unforgettable. Total cost: $200. Not cheap, but worth it. Mae Daly also has a super cool bar section with a different menu with live music on Thursdays, plus constantly changing specials. Recently I went to Mae's "taco tasting" where we got to try six different kinds of tacos each by a different chef, with the one receiving the most votes being put on the bar menu. It was super fun, like we were the judges on a cooking show. All in all, May Daly's is my favorite steakhouse in Las Vegas (and I have been to many of them). I will be back many times. read more

We visited on Valentine's Day for a 60th birthday celebration, and the restaurant was extremely busy. The space felt overcrowded, with tables placed very close together. The tables themselves were also quite small -- so small that I accidentally knocked over a glass of wine while trying to plate food. The atmosphere is definitely lively and high-energy. Food was a mix of hits and misses. The wedge salad was disappointing since it didn't include the blue cheese or blue cheese dressing that was listed on the menu. The ribeye was cooked perfect, but it was thin and tough. On the positive side, the tuna tartare, oysters, and potato gratin were all solid and enjoyable. We were also a bit surprised there was no acknowledgment of the 60th birthday we noted on the reservation as well as when ordering desert -- no candle or small celebration gesture.
