Main St Provisions is a bar and restaurant located in the Arts District of Downtown Las Vegas. They might sound familiar to you since the Chef has recently WON on the TV Show Hell's Kitchen and has also been nominated for the James Beard Award of Emerging Chef. She will be gone by June to work for Gordon Ramsay so you might want to try this place now. They feature fresh fish and steaks but have other dishes too. Inside is a bar and also traditional seating with a view of the open kitchen. They also work as a team to serve you. We started out by sharing the side order of the Maitake Mushrooms as an appetizer. My husband loved them. He loved the rich beefy sauce. I was expecting bordelaise to be more wine forward but the dish was good anyway. For my main I had the Fish Of The Day that was Sea Bass. The fish was a good sized portion and was mild and flaky. The skin came out crisp but didn't stay crispy. This sat in a minted pea sauce that could have used some mint. It was also topped with some lemon panko that gave it a nice crunch. It was still very good but the tastiest part of the plate to me was the pickled fennel asparagus salad. It just popped the most. My husband had the Duck Breast. It was suppose to be in an orange BBQ sauce. This was too subtle with flavors to identify but the duck was cooked nicely. It also was a small portion of food for a man's appetite. All the people that served us were as nice as can be and tried to make us feel welcome.

Lovely dinner! We came here before a show at the Majestic Rep across the street and our server, Courtney, was kind enough to ask if we had a show or anything to go to make sure we were out on time. For my order, I got the seared scallops, and they were perfection! There was celery root puree that it sat on and it was wonderful. 3 large scallops, flavored wonderfully, and the sear was great. I also tried the fries from my sister's burger order, very good thin fries. I would absolutely come back and try their other options!

After their executive chef Ellie Parker won Hell's Kitchen, we were super excited to try this place. It is in the heart of Arts district. Such a fun vibe. Food, service, ambiance, all excellent! Our server was super knowledgeable and helped us pick the perfect dishes. I loved their cauliflower wings and Mac and cheese. Steak was great too.

Main Street Provisions, owned by Kim Owens and her husband, is old-school friendly in the best way. This is the kind of place where regulars get "the usual" and the owners actually ask how you're doing and mean it. Seeing the husband-and-wife team working the room together and genuinely enjoying each other's company was a real treat, especially for Vegas! That kind of chemistry is rare and it rubs off on the employees and customers. We sat at the bar and the bartenders all had these cute shirts. I forgot to catch her name but our main bartender with the rubber duck shirt was so damn awesome. I joked that she was giving Able Baker free advertising! Their executive chef, Ellie Parker, just won the latest season of Hell's Kitchen and yeah I can see why. Happy hour every day. Good food, great vibes, zero pretense. They've been open about five years and, honestly, they're a big reason the Arts District shines. Yes I said it. Better than Esther's. The food and drinks are consistently excellent. "The Usual" changes daily and is whatever the bartender feels inspired to make. When we went, it was a rum-based cocktail that somehow tasted like those Asian tube popsicles in plastic. So damn good. The beef tartare was fresh and clean. The fry bread with dipping sauces was a playful nod to Indian flavors without being heavy-handed. And whatever sorcery is happening in that cilantro mint chutney... they need to bottle that shit immediately. We also had the pork chop, which was very tasty, and the fresh sourdough with lemon butter was excellent because of course it was. We'll definitely be back.

When we're in Vegas, we skip the Strip and tourist traps. We prefer to spend our time where the locals are eating and drinking at small, boutique-style restaurants that feel authentic and are usually full of regulars. One of the best areas for that, in my opinion, is the Arts District. On our most recent visit, we decided to check out Main St. Provisions, and it turned out to be a whole experience. The space itself is tastefully laid out, and a classy décor that feels welcoming without being pretentious. While there, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Kim, who is truly a lovely soul. She made us feel right at home. As luck would have it, we were there on the day their chef, Ellie, was competing on Hell's Kitchen, so I had to try her special pork chop from the show. My wife ordered the short rib, and we shared the Brussels sprouts and a Caesar salad. Everything was beautifully plated and tasted just as good as it looked. The pork chop was perfectly seasoned, and the glaze took it to another level. The short rib was equally impressive, tender and comforting, like a mini roast. For appetizers, we started with the Fry Bread and Dips, which were sooo addicting. Cocktails were a must, my wife had the Fig-urativey Speaking, and I went with I Know the Owner. Both were on point. We also enjoyed wine with our meals, though unfortunately I can't remember which ones. Lastly, shoutout to our server Desiree, who was fantastic and added to an already great experience.

Finally made my way into here and really really enjoyed it! Inside is absolutely beautiful and this is such a great spot in the Arts District! The service was absolutely stellar. A woman came up to our table who I am assuming is either a manager or owner and told us her favorite items. And our server was just outstanding. His name was Chris! To start, we ordered a couple drinks. I ordered the monkey bars drink which is a gin drink, and it was sooo good. Definitely an incredible craft cocktail. To eat, I ordered the MSP burger which was cooked perfect. We also got the rolls and dumpling, which was suggested by our waiter. The rolls were outstanding and sooo good! The dumpling was a short rib dumpling and it was interesting as it was just one big one, and didn't look like your typical dumpling. Definitely think this is a great spot for meat lovers. I want to take my husband back here because I think he would really like the short rib!

The greeting and welcome you receive at the entrance made you feel like they're very happy to see you. The dining room is spacious and no crowding of table so guests can move around without disturbing the patrons next to them. Our sever was absolutely great in helping us make decisions from the menu that aligned with our taste. The cocktails from the menu are a solid 5/5 carefully crafted and delicious. Main St Provisions' dining options represented many of my favorites. My meal started with a caesar salad with anchovies (my choice) and tasty pumpernickel croutons. The duck breast entree with the orange bbq sauce was very good earning a 4/5. Unfortunately, I filled up and no room for dessert but will sample the sweets on future visits. Overall, Main St Provisions offers an impressive experience from the moment you walk through the doors.

Ok. I don't live in Vegas but this is my 2nd time at this restaurant. Came last summer & had a great meal that included the best watermelon salad I've had in my life! So back in Vegas & it's Dec so no watermelon salad, but the seasonal menu had a roasted beet salad. It was good. The dressing is very good but there was just a tad bit too much dressing for me such that it drowned out some of the beet taste. And it was good but no where near as fabulous as that 1watermelon salad I still daydream about! For my entree, I got the seasonal fish which was black cod sitting on leeks with a mushroom broth. It was good. A light fish, flavorful. They have several interesting cocktails on the menu. I tried the Buenos Dias, a mezcal drink. It had a good taste, not very alcohol forward. I saw a few other cocktails I'd try next time. Our server shared that the chef had been on one of those cooking shows/contests (cant recall the name) but I always appreciate a chef who add creativity to their menu items. I had to snap a picture of her to add to my review! Our server was super friendly & helpful with the menu. The owner (I believe) gave us a very friendly welcome and the hostess acknowledged us again as we were leaving the restaurant. I would return on future visits to Vegas, hopefully in the summer and the watermelon salad is back!

Happy hour!!

What a fabulous find in the arts district. Amazing staff! We sat at the bar and were there for a Saturday happy hour. Our cocktails were fantastic (The Usual is season, $8; margarita, $10). If the fry bread and dips are on the menu it was great and we would get it again for sure! Ask for recommendations--they are happy to help!

We stumbled upmost Main St. Provisions and we were glad that we did. We immediately sat the bar. It was a huge, full bar. Jazz was blaring from the speakers. The staff were wonderful. I tried the cod. It was seared and sat upon a bed of leeks and mushrooms than drizzled with a tangy sauce. (Chef's kiss) Accessible entrance.

This place was recommended by a local and it was well worth it. Great options on the menu and many choices on the menu for amazing cocktails . An open dining experience with fast and attentive service. I would highly recommend this place for a local or just visiting.

We dined in to celebrate my early birthday as Main St. Provisions was on my Vegas bucket list (especially given that we're massive HK fans), and I can say with confidence that this was our best experience compared to even some of the big name restaurants on the strip. Everything we selected was cooked to perfection, and it was really cool to have a view into the kitchen where all the magic happens. Michelle our server was friendly, attentive and personable, even during a Saturday night rush. And thank you to Kim for checking in with us and making us feel at home despite it being our first time. This restaurant runs like a well oiled machine and it culminated into an especially memorable evening for us. We're definitely coming back and we're bringing our friends next time!

Is there an age restriction for the eating area?

No, not that I have seen. I don't believe they have a kids menu.

Is there a dress code?

This is fine food in a casual setting. we had slacks and button down shirts. i think shorts and polo would be fine.. there really is no dress code. the food makes you feel like you want to dress up a bit.. ENJOY the food!

Do they take reservations?

Yes! So you can eat on time!

Cornelius recommended several locations to also check out and each of those locations talked about Nocturno being a great spot as well. When you do a cocktail crawl in the Arts District, and they all speak highly of Nocturno, you know it's not just reviews on apps, or awards issued, but mad respect earned from the community itself. It's about to have its 1 year anniversary, and I recommend a weekday visit as it's not as bumping (yet) as the weekend. Get here now while you can. The cocktail menu can appear overwhelming. It's not. It's a pirates treasure map to cocktail booty. It has the classics, and below each classic, is a family tree of variations. You can also just tell the bartenders to make you something with a frame of reference. Seriously, this spot is an educational experience if you want it to be. I was there on a Tuesday at opening, just my buddy and I at the bar, expecting to spend an hour and change there as we had a crawl planned. 20 minutes in, and I canceled my reservation at the Doberman. An hour in, I canceled the next stop too. We spent about 3 hours at the bar, and let me tell you, Cornelius is a terrific ambassador for the cocktail world in Las Vegas. He seems to know almost everyone, and speaks reverentially of the "competitors" and knows their lineage. I cannot say enough things about this spot, and it's now earned a permanent spot on my annual visit list of things to do.

It is now part of the routine when I'm in Vegas. The drinks are tasty but still have personality and a perspective. You can tell by the drink names in conjunction with tasting them - that the Prowl team take what they do seriously without taking themselves too seriously. No pretentious mixology nonsense. The only hint I'll give is that it's located on the casino floor. When we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess. She asked us if we had reservations or were walking in. I really appreciated this because the way she phrased her question told me they had availability and we would be granted entry. The bar is very small and seats about 30. Reservations are strongly encouraged, however we went on a Monday in February. If you're going on a weeknight during off peak season, you should be okay without a reservation. The hostess gave us the option of sitting at the bar or at a table. We asked her for her rec and she said the bar so that's what we chose. The decor is beautiful. The ambiance is dark and moody. It's perfect for a date night. We were greeted by both bartenders. I believe the bartender that made our drinks was Rory. He was very nice and knowledgeable about cocktails. He was able to answer our questions and make suggestions based on our preferences. As we browsed the menu, we were presented with welcome drinks in a fancy smoky container. I don't recall the name of the drink, but it had a lychee flavor with a sugar rim and it was good! Drinks are extremely pricey which is to be expected in Vegas. It's also on par based on where the speakeasy is located (hint hint). The cheapest cocktail was $30 so prepare yourself for the sticker shock. Some drinks were $80-$100! Sometimes you just have to treat yourself. I went with the Velvet Moon which was an interesting cocktail consisting of both gin and mezcal. It had flavors of hibiscus and it also had egg white which I absolutely love! The presentation was beautiful and I really enjoyed it! My friend went with the Basilico Bliss which he enjoyed. I didn't try any, but it looked really good. As we were enjoying our drinks, the staff presented us with savory bar snacks. They were tasty and were a perfect compliment to our cocktails. They do have food on the menu, but we had already eaten so we stuck with our complimentary snacks. As we were closing out, the staff presented us with a complimentary mini dessert. Rory described it as a Carajillo Jello shot. I don't like jello (I hate the texture), but I do love Carajillos. My friend does not drink coffee and does not like coffee flavor, so I ate both of them. They were so delicious (but the texture was off putting lol). I typically don't mention the restrooms in my reviews, but this one is worth mentioning. All I have to say is heated seats with a bidet! We really enjoyed our visit. Had the drinks not been so pricey, we probably would have stayed longer. If you enjoy speakeasies and/or craft cocktails, go have a drink at The Vault! The experience alone is worth it!
