Mac and cheese
Karoly S.

The service at this place is 10 out 10. Every single person we interacted with had a smile and was ready to recommend their favorite dish. In this case we are so glad we listened because those pork chops were beyond delicious and the crudo is a plate we will be ordering every time moving forward. The restaurant is beautiful and I will highly recommend to take a place at their bar!

This was our first time at this restaurant. We came for steak and were very satisfied. My ribeye was amazing and his zabuton was great too. We decided the mac and cheese was the best we've ever had. I appreciate they had feminine hygiene products available in the woman's restroom. The service was mostly attentive. It did take about 5 min to be offered refreshments by our server. For being a newish spot I was surprised the chairs were so stained. We were in the area behind glass if that makes a difference.

Adventured here on a Tuesday afternoon for a birthday lunch celebration! Unfortunately I didn't take of picture of the cookies and birthday card they provided for my hubby. It was a special touch! The overall vibe of the place is casual but slightly upscale without feeling stuffy. All the staff and even other customers at the bar were extremely friendly, giving it a neighborhood upbeat feel! The doors were open adding to the happy and airy ambiance. Disappointing elements: 1) no glasses of champagne available. Prosecco is not champagne. 2) their fries are cooked in canola oil. We ended up getting beef tallow fries from eat with love always next door. 3) credit card surcharge 3% What's going to bring us back: 1) corkage fee $30 we will bring our own bottle of champagne next time. 2) Staff... love the conversation with everyone especially Matthew our bartender. 3) Wagyu allllllllll the way! Thank you very much for allowing the tri tip for lunch. We look forward to returning and hopefully updating my review to 5 stars.

We stopped in for happy hour on a Wednesday. It was a beautiful day so we asked to be seated outside at the bar. We were waited on almost immediately. Our drinks came and we picked the sliders and the cheesesteak eggrolls from the happy hour menu. It wasn't long before the sliders arrived and a couple minutes later the eggrolls. The presentation of each was well done and they were both very flavorful. Enough so I was equally delighted and surprised. It was a nice pick and I would return again from the small sampling I had on this visit.

This place popped up at the right time. Locals are looking for a steakhouse that offer excellent food without the strip prices ($400/500+). This place comes at you like a breath of fresh air. From the warm and friendly greeting (ALWAYS look for a warm greeting) to the clean lines, subdued colors of the restaurant and the helpful smiling staff. These guys are bringing back old fashion Hospitality. Thomas, the Restaurant manager and our Server Thankful ensured we had a great first time experience. We enjoyed the mocktails, cocktails, the bread and 3 appetizers and 3 different styles of steak! All amazing. They had excellent dessert options which we didn't skip. THIS is your next steakhouse to try. So good. Thank you Butcher & Thief.

Came here for my birthday and had such a great experience. I ordered the "I'm Samantha" to drink and loved it. We started with the Break Bread, then had the ribeye, Brussels, and mac and cheese and everything was so good. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and the sides were just as good. We ended with the chocolate pannacotta cake, and since it was my birthday the chef surprised us with chocolate chip cookies which was such a sweet touch. Overall just a really solid meal and I'll definitely be back.

Definitely your local neighborhood steakhouse! Fairly priced and great energy. This spot has just opened a few months and I've been here twice. The ambiance was well lit if you were sitting in the front of the restaurant and there's another back room that is a bit darker. I have experienced both spots (back room for dinner with friends and front at the bar with having dinner alone). I had their yellowtail appetizer. The sauce is AMAZING. I would go back here just for this. Our server, I forgot her name, she's short, longer hair with glasses, beautiful and super sweet, recommended to use this sauce for my steak to dip in. Literally a 100/10 recommendation. Their oysters were delicious, small and meaty. I forgot where they're from. Their bartender recommended me to try their salmon appetizer. I feel like this one was lacking a bit of more flavor. I also had their bavette steak and this cut was my favorite compared to the Wagyu cut. Not only because it was more tender, but probably because it was more meaty, if that makes sense. The sides were delicious. I'm a sucker for a good side of mushrooms and the sauce was extremely flavorful. I also tried their dessert and this was so delicious, but I could not finish it. I was unable to take a photo of my bavette steak or yellowtail appetizer from my other visit, but I would definitely recommend trying both of those dishes on the menu. The only reason why I would rate this place a 4/5 stars is because my Wagyu cut was delayed for an extremely long time. And the manager on duty did come by to apologize, but also said to me "I would take care of your glass of wine, but you got a bottle." Mind you, I wasn't upset about being there longer since it was my night to decompress and relax, but that comment threw me off. He did though, take care of my side dish, I didn't ask for. Overall, I'd come back for a nice dinner and recommend this spot for my friends to try.

This place was great. The smoked salmon was wonderful. The bread was amazing. The Mac n Cheese was wonderful. And the rib eye was above average. To be honest it was a little tough although we got a medium. The service was great. The ambiance was nice. Chair was a bit dirty but I looked past it.

From entering the restaurant to the entire time we were there, the service was great. The hostess was really sweet and Jenna was our server, she answered all our questions and was able to describe the items to me along with providing recommendations. We ordered quite a few items as it was a group of five and shared all of them. Everything tasted delicious, the portions were not bad. We tried a few different sides as well, our favorite was the brussels sprouts and the bread. The bread is definitely heavy on the garlic, which we loved. The burrata salad was also yum and fresh, highly recommend. There was plenty of seating inside and outside. Very nice ambience, great for a team dinner or a date night. Also love the area it's in with plenty of parking available.

This was more of a 3.75 but Im rounding up because of the great service. My husband and I had reservations on a weeknight to celebrate our anniversary with our kids. We were seated promptly and were congratulated on our anniversary. We ordered bread, calamari, wedge salad and PB&J bacon to start. We really enjoyed the bread, the calamari was tender with good seasoning. The PB&J bacon was interesting in a good way. The wedge was a decent size, enough to share for two. The entrees we got ware sausage rigatoni (sauce had a nice little kick to it) and the burger (juicy and cooked well). We also got the dirty rice, this didn't look appetizing and it lacked flavor. For our dinner, the appetizers and salad were our favorites.

Zabuton Wagyu steak

Butcher & Thief lives up to their persona as an affordable steakhouse. Great food and service at reasonable prices. We've visited Butcher & Thief twice in the past few months and have really enjoyed it. Both times I ordered the Zabuton cut Wagyu steak. I am a medium plus girl and both times it was cooked perfectly! I've been to higher end steakhouses, with higher pricing, that couldn't do this. Over our visits we've also had their bread, cheesesteak egg rolls, calamari, and salads. I would order the bread every time! The egg rolls and calamari are good, not amazing. Salads are great. Service was friendly and attentive. We were celebrating our anniversary on our recent visit and the server graciously brought us each a glass of non-alcoholic champagne, which actually was pretty good. My husband and I don't really drink (I ordered an iced tea and he had a Coke) so I really appreciated the gesture. The restaurant is open and contemporary, with outdoor seating available. It can get loud in the back dining area, especially if there's a large party, so not the best spot if you're looking for intimate conversations. Reservations are recommended. Parking can also be a little hard to find with the Bend being so popular.

Burger with Steak Fries and Fry Sauce

This was our second visit to Butcher & Thief. We don't live in Las Vegas, but we enjoyed our first experience here so much that we made a point to come back just to eat here. One of the things we really appreciate about the menu is how unique it is without being overly experimental. The dishes combine flavors that make sense together, nothing strange or gimmicky, just creative combinations you don't typically see on most menus. The restaurant is lively and usually busy, so I definitely recommend making a reservation. Also, when you arrive, be aware that it's tucked into the middle of a shopping center behind other buildings, so it can be a little tricky to spot from the parking lot. We had the peanut butter bacon again...something we also ordered on our first visit, and it's absolutely incredible. The flavor combination is surprisingly perfect. I saw another reviewer say they wouldn't try it because it didn't look appealing...well, all I can say is: huge mistake! HUGE! We also ordered the Philly cheesesteak rolls again, which are a savory masterpiece. They're packed with flavor and were just as good the second time around. My husband had the branzino, which came with a delicious tapenade that paired beautifully with the fish. We also ordered a burger with steak fries, and the burger was cooked to absolute perfection. Honestly, it's been a long time since I've had a restaurant burger cooked that well. We wanted to try dessert, but we were simply too full. On our first visit, I had the pork with apple butter and sautéed mushrooms, while my husband ordered the curry chicken thighs. That time we also shared the banana cream pie with peanut butter caramel, which was fantastic. They have a smaller wine list, but it's well curated with great options. Their beer, wine, and cocktails are also very reasonably priced. One of the wonderful things about this restaurant is that the noise level was acceptable, we could have a conversation and hear what our server was saying. The service was exceptional both trips! If you're looking for a great off-the-Strip restaurant that delivers excellent food without outrageous prices, I highly recommend giving Butcher & Thief a try.

My husband took me to this hidden gem for my birthday and we both enjoyed our meal. I was glad to see most of the dinner items available on their lunch menu. We were seated next to the window and provided me with a little purse stand which I thought was a nice touch. We had calamari and hamachi crudo for appetizers which were both good but the hamachi was a little pricey for only 5 pieces. Both the ribeye and zabuton steaks were tender and well-seasoned with their house made steak sauce that paired perfectly. Our server Rob was really friendly and checked on us regularly. A few areas for improvement include the mushrooms which were a little salty and the fries that were slightly overcooked. There was a lack of communication since the server was not aware of the special occasion even though this was mentioned when I made the reservation. He did make up for it with complimentary cookies and a card once he found out. I expect this spot to get a lot busier once more people hear about it. We will definitely go back to try the other items on their menu.

Our server, Emily, was fantastic: friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. Tristan and the rest of the team were equally impressive. Back in late 2023/early 2024, they truly had something special. But now in 2025? The experience has completely changed. You have people packed shoulder-to-shoulder in a small venue, charging $30 per person after clearly going over occupancy. It feels greedy, and it shows. Guests who paid for those tiny tables aren't even respected--people are still crowding and standing all around them. This is a lounge, not a nightclub. Stop treating it like one. Friendsgiving was the final straw: people sneaking in, getting way too rowdy, zero space to move, and overall just a miserable experience. They even had heaters blasting with over 100 bodies crammed together, making it uncomfortable and unsafe to get to the bathroom, the bar, or even the exit. Overall, Bel Aire is not the place you want to spend your time or money if they refuse to enforce occupancy rules or provide a comfortable space for guests to actually enjoy themselves. People go out to relax, drink, dance, and have a good time--not to be shoved into an overcrowded room so the business can maximize profit. At this point, Bel Aire is contributing to the exact problem Vegas nightlife is trying to move away from.

I got the salmon skin tacos. Very creative, very beautiful, not much flavor. The strongest flavor that came through was the red onion which I'm not a big fan of. For dinner I got the vegan noodles. Good texture, liked the veggies, it was a little spicier than expected and I'm coming to realize I may not love gochujang so much. The sauce was just a little too thick and overpowering. That said, the bao sliders were delicious, the steak tartare was interesting. The pork jowl was very tasty and the short rib looked very good. I did not love the imperial rolls, they had some flavor/spice coming through that I really disliked but others enjoyed them. In addition to the food, the service was great. They took great care of us, and even offered to write happy birthday on the cake we brought in. They did charge a cake cutting fee and cut up our whole cake and served us which was nice. Finally the ambiance was nice. It's not a large space (not too small either). Felt intimate, not a ton of other people. It was a great dining experience and I look forward to going back.
