trivia night
Alyssa T.

I first came when they first opened at the uncommons and didn't have the greatest experience when it came to the service and food. It's been a couple years and decided enough time has passed for me to give them another try. I can see why I never had a want to come back. We came on a Wednesday night after the rooftop Pilates class. We were seated immediately on the patio. It took maybe 15-20 minutes until we were approached by a server, got our food and drink orders placed. The first round of food came fairly quick, and before our drinks. Our cocktails took about 40 minutes to come after we placed the order. From there decided we'd still sit and hangout, so ordered another round of drinks + food (salad and sweet potato fries)- we were warned it'd take a minute and that the kitchen was backed up. Totally understandable, but it still took over 45 minutes for the second round of food to come. Our drinks took fairly long as well, but what can I say. One of the drinks we ordered "The Cooler" was significantly pale compared to the first initial round we had. It did fall on trivia night however the resturant wasn't completely full, they did appear to be well staffed with manager, 2 hostesses, 2 servers for patio, at least 2 bartenders at the bar, and a few of servers in the inside. The trivia night guests didn't even appear to have food as well. Food was being delivered to incorrect tables, the service took fairly long considering it was a weeknight. It's disappointing too because the food is honestly good. So many guests were vocalizing their disappointment in regard to service to one another and it was all pretty much agreed upon that this is a spot that definitely lacks compared to other restaurants in the Uncommons. I was told by the server that she spoke to her manager and that he may comp or discount the drinks, and that he was to look into it. Our bill was fully charged with the items. I paid and tipped and still waited another 20 minutes for the printed receipt. I approached the manager prior to leaving and there was no sincere care for the actual criticism I had. He said "I can only give you a gift card and that's it." He gave me a gift card amounted for the 2 drinks on my receipt as if I'd ever actually want to return. It saddens me because as a vegas local and small business supporter, if he was even a bit more kind or genuine I would've just let it go. But if the manager can't even uphold decent de-escalation or service skills then how can I expect the rest of the staff to? I'm sad to say both experiences I've had even with them being years apart have been disappointing. Especially with the fact that our bill was already $176 before tip!

Great place to watch the VGK playoffs. Our group was split over 2 tables and Lydia did an awesome job checking in and getting our on-going drink/food orders.

Delicious food and service. We got the double smash cheeseburger, the steak sandwich and mozzarella sticks. Highly recommend!!!

"OUR" MOZZARELLA STICKS JUMBO CHICKEN WINGS (6PCS)

Here's the final polished version with everything included: The miso salmon is cooked perfectly tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The churros are nice and crispy with the perfect texture, and the wings have a great spicy kick without being overpowering. Brandon, the GM, is super nice and it's always a pleasure seeing him he truly adds to the experience. The girls are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the atmosphere even better. I love sitting on the patio with my pup they always bring him water, which I appreciate so much. It's such a dog-friendly spot. Plus, the street market on Saturdays is a huge bonus. They also have DJs at times, and I love the music they play it keeps the energy up and the vibe fun. This is a great place to watch games. The atmosphere is always high-energy, welcoming, and consistent. Definitely one of my go-to spots!

DOUBLE-DOUBLE SMASH BURGER DELICIOUSNESS

Wow. Probably one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Like it tastes like a "real" burger. My eyes closed and everything. THATS crazy I got the double double smash burger and ohMYGAH! Taste and flavor explosion.

Been on my radar for a while, today was the day to check them out for dinner. Large menu with many drink options as well as appetizers and dinner selections. Great sports vibe with attentive servers. The appetizer of the Japanese wagyu gyoza was very tasty. The dinner items of the slider trio (a burger, chicken Parmesan and a classic chicken sandwich). The 2 I tasted were very good, chicken parm and the burger. I ordered the pastrami and corned beef sandwich was also good as the white American cheese really complimented this sandwich. If you're at the uncommons check them out.

Found a hidden gem! Came for work drinks, stayed for the atmosphere. I managed to score some complimentary drinks while the staff was training, and those GA Margaritas are no joke! My cheese fries hit the spot, but the biggest surprise was the sushi--way fresher than you'd ever expect from a sports bar. This place is officially on my rotation for football season.

Love this spot! The girls and I came to Watch the NFL playoffs on Sunday morning and the vibes were immaculate. We were immediately sat at our reserved table. There were huge tvs, a full bar and music throughout the game. The food was so good. I had the smash burger sliders and fries which was delicious. I had a Paloma which was wonderful as well. My girls stated their tacos and everything else they ate were good as well. We will definitely be back, most likely before the playoffs end!!

Weak Nashville hot chicken slider

This place absolutely gets the sports-bar vibe. Tons of space, plenty of TVs, and an environment that makes you feel like you could camp out for an entire slate of games without annoying anyone. Big win there. Service was solid and attentive, and extra credit where it's due: the kids' food came out first. That is the universal sign of a seasoned server who understands both parenting and survival. Much appreciated. Now let's talk tater tots--because they deserve their own moment. Perfectly cooked, extra crispy, exactly how tots are meant to exist. No notes. If there were an Olympic event for tots, these would medal. Unfortunately, my entrée took a hard left turn. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sliders, and what arrived looked like something straight out of a high school cafeteria on "budget week." The chicken was paper thin, the bun was also thin (bold choice), and the entire stack consisted of one very small piece of chicken, one lonely nickel sized pickle, and sauce. That's it. It was less "slider" and more "suggestion of a sandwich." Dessert didn't redeem things either. Chocolate molten lava cake should lava. What I got was a fully baked chocolate cake with chocolate drizzle on top. That's not molten--that's a regular cake wearing a lava costume. Disappointing. Overall, the experience was good, just not memorable. Great atmosphere, solid service, elite tots--but the main dishes need serious work. I'd come back to watch a game and snack, but I wouldn't rave about the food just yet.

We hadn't tried the spot before and we'll definitely be back. Our friends always bring in wines from their home collection and our server learned how to uncork tonight by one of her other servers.

This is located in the Uncommons Apartments Plaza. Lots of parking in the parking garage; first 2 hours are free. Many in our group ordered the Double Double Smashburger; it was good, just nothing that screams great. The grilled onions in it were delicious, but the brioche bun was a little stale. The Chicken Parmasean Sliders were also ok, nothing great. We enjoyed the Atomic Duck Draft Beer. Really cool and modern interior, with lots of monitors for watching games. There is a cool outdoor dining area that is spacious and open. There was also a Farmer's Market going on in the street whem we came. Overall, typical bar food you can get at most chain bars. Parking is free for 2 hours in the parking garage. Ambiance 10/10. Service 8/10. Food 5/10

I decided to check this place out on a Monday for MNF. I arrived around 340pm and it was still a little empty (which is fine) our server Courtney was super sweet, however I will say the service was slow when it came to my cocktails. I ordered midnight in Tulum and not only was it forgotten about by the time I received it, the drink wasn't IT. Luckily for me Courtney offered something else I enjoyed a lot more. For starters, I had a salad which seemed fresh . The slider trio: everything was cooked nicely besides the hot honey, it was way over cooked. The French fries were super salty but had potential for good flavor. Overall, I was underwhelmed but there's a possibility I'd give this place another chance .

CHICKEN PARMESAN SLIDERS
Denise A.

Met a few girlfriends here for lunch on a Tuesday at 1 pm. Hard to believe it was basically empty considering it was late lunch hour. We didn't really even need a reservation. Our server, Nina, was wonderful in all her recommendations and service. We started off sharing a spinach dip with fried pita bread. Highly recommend this app !! So delish ... we actually had them add another order of pita for our group of 4 ladies. For our entrees we chose loaded nanchos (3 stars) chicken mozzarella sliders (3 stars ... marinara sauce totally soaked the bread), shrimp fajitas (3 stars ... abundant amount of shrimp gave this item 3 stars instead of just 1), and a Caesar salad wrap (4 stars ... very flavorful). We ended our lunch with a chocolate chip cookie under a scoop of vanilla ice cream (3 stars.). Honestly the food wasn't horrible just not very memorable. Location is wonderful. Parking is nutty. In a town with so many food choices ... this restaurant is not at the top of my hit list. On to the next ....

They had some stuff I haven't tried so figured it would be neat to check out. The glassware, taps and wall appeared clean but glassware style and size options were lacking and no indication of when the lines were last cleaned. Would be nice to have some 5oz "taster" glasses as an option at the least. Also, no offer of instruction on how to pour the beer (although I'm well versed in the proper pour) didn't inspire confidence that people weren't reusing glasses or touching the spouts while pouring. Beer didn't pour well on most taps, and one of the kegs kicked leaving me with a bunch of foam. Beer prices were a little high per ounce compared to a pint around town, but the fact you can pour almost any size pour means you'll pay a little extra. Options were decent with some beers I've not seen elsewhere in town. Overall, it's not a spot I'd visit again unless there was some special beer I couldn't find anywhere else in the city.

But let's get straight to the issue- the HOSPITALITY! I don't like being negative- I want local businesses to thrive and reach more people, but I need to add this bit of criticism- Lately, coming here feels like you're rolling the dice- and going out to eat and being treated well shouldn't have to feel like a gamble. When I dine here, I don't feel welcome. The bartenders make it clear that they cater to some regulars more than others. It takes the bartender half an hour to get us started with drinks and a menu to look at the food. It's crazy- I come here so often know some of this establishment's staff by name now and yet, I'm met with this recent disservice- The other night I arrive here with my girlfriend to grab some food around 1 am. I see the bartender, Ryan, zooming around, refilling beer and shots, going in and out of the kitchen. It's not that busy of a Friday night- maybe a handful of couples and groups all sitting at the bar. He passed SEVERAL times by me, no acknowledgement, no "Hey, bear with me, I'll be right with ya." 1:30. He finally comes to us apologizing, gets us started on drinks and hands us the menu. We take a couple of minutes to decide. He stands around by the Pos and talks to another bartender (Andrew I think?), who came from the kitchen, then immediately left. Another 10-15 minutes pass. By this point, I was wondering if I should just walk out. Finally, Ryan comes to take our orders. Typically, a server or bartender leads the conversation, right? I'm sure you hear things like "what can I get started for you," or "how would you like your eggs cooked" or "how would you like your Steak cooked" - You've all heard those before, right? Well- nothing. No cue. No asking anything. It felt awkward. Uncomfortable. Unwelcoming. I don't even know if he was paying attention. At one point, it was ME who was the one asking my girlfriend "How do you want your eggs cooked?" when she asked to get the Steak and Eggs because there was ZERO response coming from our bartender to anything we said. The energy felt COMPLETELY off, so I just asked then and there for the check and left off to grab some Cane's instead. An absolutely dismal experience. I don't like making my reviews about me, but I felt like I needed to explain exactly why I'm upset about my recent visits here so anyone reading this can better understand instead of just reading a vague mention of how rude the staff was. Let's get to the Good Bar Bites I recommend if you do come here (maybe day time could give you a different experience): WSKY Burger- I recommend a medium on the patty! Very juicy- the crunch of the onion rings and candied bacon- One of my favorite burgers! Steakhouse sliders- tasty and sharable mini burgers! Although- I need some clarification- Can modifications be made to this dish? One day, while ordering over the phone, a bartender named Zach told me I cannot add an extra slider (I wanted 4 sliders instead of just the 3 that come on the order), I'd have to purchase two whole orders if I wanted more. What's this about? I've never had that issue before, so just curious. Flatbread Pizza- of course pizza is always awesome to munch on. The crunch on the flatbread is so satisfying I honestly don't think I'll be coming here anytime soon. It sucks. The bar looks beautiful, the food is delicious. But why have I been treated like an outsider lately? It's not worth going to a place, even if it has good food, if you're not going to be treated well.
