The order I did was Matcha latte Their famous giant cinnamon roll (shared with): a little bit overly sweet for me. Taste really good for first bite though... And a nice house salad with grilled wagyu sirloin steak: It was good but not surprisingly amazing... The portion was good. The cocktail lineup looks amazing. I just didn't feel it to drink alcohol on that day... The server was super attentive and we were like 14 of us. But I didn't feel like waited long. We went to Summer House for Mother's Day. I was able to make reservations and so when we got there, we were seated right away. Here's where they got right the aesthetic vibe and restaurant were beautiful. It really hit the mark on what they were trying to do which is inspired by California with coastal vibes. Our server said hi to us and said he'll be right back. He gave us water and we ordered an iced caramel macchiato and iced vanilla latte. We didn't see our server for a good 20 minutes after until we ordered our food which took another 20 to 25 minutes. I ordered the potato salad deviled eggs and salmon. Deviled eggs were incredible and I wish I had more than 2! The fish was really tough and not that great. The pasta that my husband ordered was a lot better. Once we were done eating, we barely saw our server as he was running around. There was no person picking up plates or filling out waters. I think they were really understaffed. My caramel macchiato was delicious and I really think they could do better if they get enough staff and fix some of their dishes. Cute place and I loved the outdoor seating! We came in on a Sunday around 11am so I had a feeling it was probably a long wait. Inside looked packed and there were quite a few people waiting for a seat. When we went up to check in, we were informed if we wanted to sit outside we could get a table right away, which was awesome! It was a nice day, nice and cool and minimal wind, and the outside patio was lovely! It was pretty covered with almost like sky lights. Lots of greenery made me feel like I wasn't even in Vegas anymore. Our server was really nice, I can't remember her name or I would give her a big shoutout! It's a southwest flair with the food here. I ended up getting an horchata iced latte and the mexican hash browns with a side of bacon, which I cut up and added to it since there was no meat in the dish (I asked to add bacon to the hash browns and they came out separate, so I guess they don't add additional things in). I liked it! Could have used a liiiiitle more seasoning/flavoring, but the combo of eggs, potatoes, and salsa is always a hit! My husband got the breakfast tostadas and loved them. Longtime Durango Casino visitor, first time Summer House! This place is a little hidden and the restaurant is behind their cookie and coffee bar. Heading down a hallway of sorts, you enter a full dining room with an adjacent bar and plentiful outdoor seating patio. Do California Coastal vibe - this checks the box! We stumbled upon Martini Hour (Mon-Fri 3-6) and thought the prices were very reasonable. $10 martinis, $4 rotating draft, wine specials and several food items. The bartenders are super nice and acknowledge you right away. Special shoutout to Irish at the bar - she was great in recommendations! We started with a tavern cut pizza ($12) and she told us that the pepperoni is specially made for Summer House and is a good topping add - sure! Why not! (+$3). The result - pepperoni was indeed flavorful and was a nice addition to the pizza. It is a thin crust with crisp. I like that it's not a bready pizza - nice and light. I added a lot of red pepper flakes to my slices though because I felt it complimented the pepperoni well. Then we got a Wagyu Cheeseburger ($5) and added fries (+$3). The cheeseburger comes out medium well - but due to being Wagyu is was probably why it was still moist. If anything - medium would have been perfect. If you don't add bacon or anything it's an overall simple cheeseburger. You can't beat a $5 burger though for Durango Casino. The fries are labeled as crispy fries - I would say it was 50/50. They are shoestring style so some were nice and crisp, some not. Lastly, we had an Espresso Martini which was delicious! It's made with real components and it's not a premix hack - yay! The vibe at the bar was great. The chill music on in the background and two TVs had sports programming on. The patrons at the bar are also friendly so it's nice to have random conversations! Giant Cinnamon roll- 4/5. Im generally not a huge fan of cinnamon roll and this was one of the better ones I've ever had. Jalapeño cheese cornbread- 2.5/5. Tastes just like it sounds. Turkey sandwich- 2.5/5. I really liked the quality of the turkey inside but it was lacking in sauce and flavor. I just wish it had a bread in the center so that there's room for some mayo and mustard to balance out the sandwich. The shoestring fries were cold and not so great. Brisket and hash- 2.5/5. Did not look appetizing at all and flavor was okay. I'm unsure if I'll be ever back for the food. I love Summerhouse for their cookie bar and have tried most of the items. We were sat very quickly and the food was flavorful. The guac was the only exception, pretty bland in my opinion, so skip that if you go. The wagyu taco plate was so good, would highly recommend The steak was very undercooked. Ordered at medium well and came out rare. The amount of fries on that plate was absurd. If you like fries, then that is the dish for you, but it looks like they took 4 potatoes and made them into fries before tossing them on the plate and the steak was almost an afterthought. Service was good, she was friendly, but our party was very hungry so it felt slow at first. A group of nine of us came here for my mother's birthday a few weekends ago. I had never been here but had heard good things. Even though we had reservations, we still had to wait about 15 minutes before they could seat us which is never a good sign. Walking in, I must say it was absolutely gorgeous, one of the prettiest restaurants I've eaten at in a long time! It really felt like you weren't in a hotel or in the desert, but rather somewhere in coastal California. The restaurant was filled with the typical people you would expect, pretty women in sundresses who have had way too much plastic surgery, way too early in their lives. Bachelorette parties, I think I counted three. We had two young children in our group, so shortly after getting seated, we ordered their food first, so they wouldn't get antsy. We ended up getting their food before we even placed the rest of our tables order... and that really set the tone for the rest of the meal. It's not that the service was inattentive, it was just very slow. The hamburger that was ordered for the children, came out pretty much still mooing and needed to be sent back to be cooked a little longer. We ended up ordering three appetizers for the table and then a meal for each of us. Two of the appetizers, the cornbread and the potato salad deviled eggs, came pretty quickly and were absolutely delicious. The truffle fries that we had ordered as an appetizer never came. I'll start off by saying that everything on the menu is over inflated in price. It is just far too expensive here for the food that they are serving you. I got the chicken picnic basket and what came out was absolutely massive which I'm always excited about. "At least you get a lot of food for it being pricey", I was thinking. I got three massive and delicious chicken fingers (though I wish it was actual bone-in fried chicken) and pretty much an entire farm's worth of shoestring french fries. If only the french fries were good. In our party they were about four other people who had french fries and everybody agreed that they just were not good at all. I will give a nod to the cocktails as they were delicious, but again, quite pricey. Overall Summer House is more form over function. They are definitely playing to a certain individual who has money and time to burn on mediocrity, so long as it's sexy. Stopped in for a coffee and a cookie :) The coffee was surprisingly delicious. I ordered a basic sugar free vanilla latte with oat milk and it really hit the spot. My boyfriend got the M&M and cookies and cream cookies and absolutely devoured them, so clearly they were really good! Service was great. The guy working solo was handling a busy Sunday morning efficiently while still giving friendly service. The decor is super cute and homey, it almost feels like you're by the beach. This place is incredible! I can't believe it took me this long to finally tried this place. So happy that I finally did and the food was amazing. Opted to do Sunday brunch and the menu had the right notes. Started with the devil eggs and it was filling and delicious. I tried the egg sandwich with bacon and sub for sweet potatoes fries. The sandwich was delicious but the sweet potatoes took the spotlight. It was so crispy and well seasoned. The ambience was nice and had a beach vibe to it. I visited Summer House with a group, and unfortunately, the experience was a bit disappointing. The wait time for our food was very long, and there wasn't much service throughout the meal. One thing I will say that I really liked, especially for larger groups, is their QR code system for the bill. Everyone can scan the code and select exactly what they ordered, which makes splitting the bill super easy and stress-free. That part was very convenient. Great atmosphere if you're looking to relax and catch up with friends. Since it was our first time, we asked our server for recommendations and ordered a few suggested dishes. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to expectations. We tried the Picnic Fried Chicken Basket, Bueno Vista Cobb Salad, Potato Salad Deviled Eggs, and one more dish that I can't quite remember. I will say the ambiance is extremely inviting. You will just wish there was the ocean right off from your table or the view. You can dress up casually or dress down. California vibes or more so Santa Monica vibes when it comes to the aesthetics. The service was ok. I will say that the lady helping us. She lacked customer service. Yet, not everyone there had the vibe she had. My experience sealed the deal of giving 1 star and not returning to order from the lunch or dinner menu. My daughter took me here for Mother's Day with Vegas being so hot and I didn't wanna sit on the patio once I got there. I wish I did. It was cool and very inviting. I will say the service has improved every single time I've come, the staff have gone above and beyond since my first visit here. I absolutely love coming here and have frequented it often. You can't beat the location, the vibes, the drinks, food and service! 10/10 across the board. I've tried multiple menu options and all of them have been amazing. They are extremely accommodating with my allergies to certain foods and never make it difficult if I want to modify things I order because of that,which is such a breath of fresh air compared to most establishments. It is so spacious in here and I love that they have a cookie bar up in the front that I can take goodies with me home. If I didn't know any better, I would've thought I was dining on the strip, and the Summer House definitely hired the right design team to bring in all the elements to capture all the vibes of a fun day club inside a hip Tulum style restaurant. It's more of a year-round house if they execute other entrees as excellently as the burger. Summer House is one of the several restaurants on the perimeter of the Durango Casino and Resort in southwest Las Vegas. This one is run by the Lettuce Entertain You restaurant group, who also operate notable Vegas spots such as Mon Ami Gabi, Eiffel Tower Restaurant, and Joe's Seafood. I've tried and enjoyed the Cookie Bar in their foyer before, but I finally walked into the restaurant for brunch today. The bright, spacious aesthetic with plentiful plants welcomes you as you enter their lofty dining area. Patio space is available, but we were content with sitting inside at a half-circular booth. The volume was quite a bit louder than the subtle music, and our server felt slightly overworked at times but always got the job done. Prime Burger ($21.95): believed the hype from other Yelpers, and this delivered. Nicely charred exterior on the patty, great medium-rare interior with loose ground beef texture. Mustard and pickles both are great complements, and enough sweetness comes from the brioche bun. Side of shoestring fries was a great snack and nothing read too salty. Crispy Chicken Sandwich ($16.95): more of a textural wonder than a truly tasty treat. Pounded-flat chicken with perfectly crispy crust throughout, but could've used a more potent dressing. We had a side of salad with this, which ended up a bit bitter overall due to lack of sweetness in the vinaigrette. Caramelized Brussels Sprouts ($14.95): pretty crispy sprouts with nice balsamic and parmesan, and generally works as a shareable or side dish. The bitterness of the sprouts also became more prominent as I got more full. Strawberry Fields ($9.00): a great mocktail. Light strawberry juice complemented perfectly with sage. Really a great cleanser after bites of any of the above items. Coffee ($3.95): strong and refillable, and nicely priced. Brunch today at Summer House was very good. The restaurant itself is cute but it's super loud in a way where you can hear every single person's conversation. I think the high ceilings mixed with the fact that nothing in the interior design allows for absorbing sound made it extra loud. The issue was just the food. Grilled Artichoke (1/5): this was the first time I didn't finish artichoke. The texture was a bit off and the aioli had zero flavor Guacamole (4/5): the guac was pretty good and flavored well. Shaved Brussels sprout salad (3/5): the salad was enjoyable. The piece of chicken that I ordered with it was completely inedible. It was like the kind of chicken that looks like they drew the grill marks onto it. It was the driest and most bland piece of meat I've ever had served at me at a real restaurant Fried chicken basket (1/5): this tasted like nothing. There was literally no flavor to the chicken which was shocking for something that has been deep fried. Cookies (4/5): the cookies that they serve and well at the front of the restaurant were actually very good and I would come back and order those separately. I regret having to do this, but upon a second visit to Summer House, the quality dropped precipitously and my review has to change accordingly. The "Kale" Caesar came with predominantly romaine, ridiculous to even have kale in the name (see photo). They actually did rectify the situation with a replacement, but even the second attempt was marred by ample non-kale greenery and even more importantly, wholly bland dressing. I substituted lime vinaigrette for Caesar dressing to make it vegetarian, but having it undressed would have been a similar experience. As for the Brussels I wrote of so glowingly in my first review, they were undercooked this time round, with my partner even finding a raw one in her portion. I don't know if they were having an off night or if inconsistently is systemic, but either way, we were dismayed to end our Vegas dining experience on this note. read more

Beautiful restaurant inside the Durango hotel! This place e was recommended by a friend and I and so happy she suggested this spot! Me and my sorority sister visited on a Saturday around 3:30pm, I made a reservation but didn't need it...we probably missed the brunch rush! The decor gives So Cal coastal beach vibes...very airy, modern and elevated. We decided to sit outside since it was a beautiful day. I ordered the Aperol Spritz, perfect and refreshing. For my entree I ordered the ribs, it comes with sweet potato fries and Cole slaw. The ribs were very tender and the BBQ sauce complimented everything well. The order is a full rack of ribs so it can def. be shared.My friend ordered the fish tacos and they looked delicious! Attentive service and a relaxing atmosphere. On our way out we stopped by their dessert counter and I ordered their sea salt chocolate chip cookie, lemon cookie and an expresso martini to go! Visited for a company dinner last night and while the ambiance/service were commendable, the food left more to be desired. The chips and guac weren't bad, but weren't great - very standard for any restaurant that serves it. The chips and tartar sauce were the best part of my otherwise bland fish n chips entree. My coworkers mushroom pizza and pastas looked great, but I can't speak for the taste. On the way out of the restaurant I grabbed a few cookies to go for my family, which are rather large with fun flavors for $4.50 each. Our favorites of those were the raspberry cheesecake and seasonal pumpkin pie sugar cookie, which were soft, crumbl-esque and featured decadent flavors. My colleague had recommended the Summer House for lunch on a Friday morning! It was my first time at the Durango Casino. I ended up parking in the parking garage, and walked through the casino floor, through the food court, to find the Summer House! Current hours are the following Monday - Thursday: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM Friday: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM Sunday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM If you visit the Summer House website, you can sign up for the mobile club which include special offers and updates. You can also get the E-Newsletter for menu specials and limited time deals! Right now, there is a labor day special on Monday, September 1 from 10:00 A.M to 9:00 P.M. Martini Hour is offered from 3:00 P.M to 6:00 P.M, Monday through Friday at the bar! Inside the Summer House, the restaurant is quite open with spacious amount of tables. There is lots of floral decorations and outside seating available too! My colleague, his son, and I sat at a booth table inside the restaurant. The menu offers Brunch, Lunch, and their main menu. There are a lot of options on their lunch menu! Salads (House Salad, Buena Vista Cobb, Spicy Kale Caesar and so much more!) Pizzas (Cheese, Margherita etc..) Fish Appetizers: (Guacamole, Meatballs, Fries) Sandwiches Tacos Pasta and a lot more! I ended up just getting a prime cheeseburger with cheddar, and pickles with a side of French Fries. Luckily, the meal came out fast, within 20 minutes! I didn't have time to eat my cheeseburger since I had to leave by 12:00 for a call, but I did end up bringing my cheeseburger to go! I finally had a chance to eat it around 2:30, and it was still good! I warmed it up! The hamburger patty was delicious, and the pickles were a great addition! The shoestring fries were yummy too! They didn't have too much salt on them. The service was fantastic at the Summer House. The team member assisting our table followed up with us several times asking how our order was and if we needed anything! I'd like to come back to this restaurant again, during dinner time, to try out their wagyu steak taco platter! It looks delicious! read more

I never knew this restaurant existed inside the Durango Casino. It's a both indoor and outdoor restaurant and it definitely is a place to go in the summer (hence the name). The vibe is very open, relaxed, and I love the decor here. I went with the fried chicken basket, which was basically a glorified chicken tender. Next time I would try the Wagyu burger since that looked juicy and delicious. I also got the two specialty nonalcoholic drinks. One was a strawberry fields and the other one was a pineapple jalapeño drink. Both were very tasty and presented very well. For dessert we got an assortment of cookies and rice crispy treats. They were served cold, but found that they tasted better once they were warmed up. Overall, this would be a good place to host a party or event. They have normal seating area but also a bar area if you prefer that. read more

I've been to Summer House a few times and they NEVER Disappoint, ever!! They meet all the checks: -ambience -service -food/beverage -decor (seriously-from the inside out-especially in the warm months-that water feature with lounge chairs in the pool- can you say "eye candy"!! Such a nice spot to grab a bite to eat. Went during weekday around lunch time there was no wait but there were quite a few people dining as well. Tried the truffle fries, brussel sprit appetizer, turkey sandwich (MASSIVE) and the Cobb salad. Everything was flavorful and delish. Easily shared between two-three. Great service and ambiance is very well lit and open. They have patio and indoor seating. A must try. read more
