All the staff was super friendly and our server proved really good service. We had wine by the glass and the whipped Brie, mushrooms, steak, and split the burger. This appears to be a popular spot for dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is plenty of seating, but tables and chairs are too close together and it felt so crammed. I shouldn't have to clearly hear conversations that are happening to the tables next to us. It was definitely a squeeze getting in and out of the tables without interrupting the table next to you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server recommended getting two plates per person. The menu isn't designed to have appetizers or entrees per se, so this menu seemed like it's kind of a tapas place or kind of not? If the plates aren't appetizers or entrees and they're more shareable, then why would we only get 3 pork ribs pieces instead of 4? The pork ribs had great flavor. it was crispy, tender, and fall off the bone at the same time, but it would've been better if they added one more pork rib bone instead of 3. The whipped brie with blackberry and honey was a bit disappointing. Even after mixing the whipped brie and with the blackberries, there were barely any fruit or honey flavor. All I tasted was salt. The brie was too salty with no taste of fruit or honey. Moreover, the brie came with 2 small pieces of toast, cut into 4 pieces. There was definitely more brie than toast, so we requested additional brioche toast. Of course we got charged extra for the toast. I just think the brie to toast ratio should be better. It seemed like the plate was 85% brie and 15% toast. How are we supposed to eat the rest of the brie when the toast provided is gone? I did not enjoy more brie over brioche ratio. We also got the burger and trout. Both shareable portions. The burger tasted like a slightly elevated Big Mac but saltier. Trout was good and cooked seared with a medium rare center. After procrastinating all afternoon about dinner, I found reservations for Ada's at the last minute. We've been regular customers at Esther's so I was excited to try them. We were seated immediately & received table service as soon as we sat down. I was a bit disappointed that I ordered green tea, after being given 3 options, but I wasn't told it was bottled tea. I assumed it was fresh brewed and I would've preferred to have just had water. The bottle had already been opened, and they filled my glass before bringing me the glass and bottle to the table. The food was good overall. -Whipped brie with honey & blackberries, served with toast- The 4 slices of toast were a bit burnt / black. But the brie was sinful and we easily finished it without having enough toast. The server did appear again & offered us more toast, but we had already finished the brie because it was really good. -Asparagus with hollandaise- Amazing. Just amazing. -Duck with bone broth- I don't eat duck, but my husband orders it once to twice a month in Chinatown. He didn't like this dish as he said it was quite undercooked. He's not one to complain and he ate it all without letting the server know and didn't tell me until after the meal. -Hanger steak with broccolini- This was good. I liked seeing the steak actually show up medium rare. I've had some bad experiences lately with other restaurants pushing out medium & medium well steak instead of medium RARE. Although, we didn't really have an appropriate knife to cut the steak. It was quite challenging. I told my husband that if we return, I'd be sticking one of our knives from home in my bag as the provided knives were just THAT bad at cutting meat. The chimichurri was AMAZING! We dipped anything and everything in it. -Panna cotta- This was AMAZING. It also wasn't too sweet so if you're wanting a bit of dessert, but don't want a full on explosion of sugar at the end of your meal, this is a great choice. Service was great, just like Esther's. Shortly after finishing any food, the empty dishes were whisked away. My husband's water was refilled as needed. We never needed to ask for anything. It is in the old Esther's spot, so the divided dining areas are small so you could easily get staff if needed. I would've liked to have tried the mushrooms and the chili shrimp, but I felt there was plenty of food for myself. I was quite full when leaving. Interesting + unique The menu doesn't give a lot of description of the dishes but I feel like that might be part of the lore. It was suggested that we order 3 dishes per person, so we ended up doing family style of things that we wanted to try. There were 4 of us, and we ordered 5 dishes. The portion sizes were smaller but still plenty to be satisfied. IMO the burger was my favorite. The table's consensus was the ribs were their favorite. We finally checked out Ada's, now in the former Esther's Kitchen location, after hearing someone describe it as being "similar to Esther's." Maybe that's what set our expectations a little too high. The menu is pretty limited, and the portions are on the small side for the price. Unless you're a light eater, plan on ordering several dishes because we were all hungry again a couple of hours later. Service was a mixed bag. Juan was friendly, but trying to get a straight answer about portion sizes felt like solving a riddle. We asked a simple question several different ways and never really got a clear answer, which honestly put a damper on the experience. Food was hit or miss. The pork belly was tender and topped with olives, which worked surprisingly well. The burrata with tomatoes was bright, fresh, and probably my favorite dish of the night. The garlic chile shrimp was also good, although the bread is intentionally served soggy so it can soak up the sauce. The spare ribs were highly recommended by our server, but they didn't do much for us. They were crunchy with more of a five-spice flavor, even though they were described as lemon pepper, and came with buffalo sauce and whipped ranch for dipping. The tagliatelle with baby scallops was just okay--very little sauce and not much flavor. Overall, nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. We shared everything on the menu that interested us and walked away thinking it was just... okay. For the prices, we expected a lot more. With so many great restaurants in downtown Las Vegas, this probably won't be one we'll revisit. read more

I've been fortunate enough to enjoy several meals at Ada's, but this was my first visit (on 4/29/26) to their new location in downtown. To be honest, my party of two had already imbibed a flight of beers at CraftHaus across the street AND eaten a basket of their loaded tots, so we were kind of already full before we decided to pop on in for more food. - Whipped brie with blackberry and honey: smooth, dare I say light, sweet, creamy, served with triangles of toasted brioche... this was a delightful dish. We ended up running out of bread so the waitstaff generously brought us another round. - Lemon pepper pork ribs + house ranch: GET THIS! I was kind of stuffed by the time this dish came out, but the ribs were FALLING OFF THE BONES and the ranch was the perfect dip for them. SO freaking flavorful. - Mick's royale with cheese: I am a huge fan of burgers. The waiter confidently told us there isn't a better cheeseburger in town, and I think he might have been right. It was GIVING everything one would want in a hearty burger. Meaty, juicy, crispy edges, cheesy, saucy. DELICIOUS. Our first time at Ada's was when it was at Tivoli so I was pretty excited to check out the new location in downtown. Definitely did not disappoint. The service was amazing. Our server Ji was great. She was super friendly, very helpful w the menu & attentive to our table. Dealers choice- can't pick a drink from the many options, then leave it to the bartender. Tell them what you like and viola. We were blessed with a wine savvy server who recommended an amazing bottle to us, but honestly all of their staff are somms, so excellence is par here. Food here is served similar to tapas--smaller plates to share and enjoy. We went with some cured wagyu, tuna tartare, halibut with harissa and carrots, and PEI mussels in a garlic coconut sauce. I've had this place in my list for awhile and found the perfect opportunity when bestie came into town to celebrate our birthdays together. We had dinner reservations elsewhere but dropped in as we hopped around Arts District for Wine Tasting. We had just missed happy hour but got lucky enough to snap some open seats at the bar. It was perfect. We ordered some glasses of wine and a few apps...The burrata and French fries were fantastic. Bartender was very knowledgeable about the wines and made our 1st experience at Ada's our favorite of the weekend (and that says a lot because we visited quite a few restaurants). We will most definitely be back and hopefully for a full meal if the apps we tried are indicative of the quality and flavors in their other dishes...which I am confident they are. Ada's Food and Wine Bar is now located downtown in the Arts District. Inside are TWO wine bars with one of the best award wining wine menus offered anywhere. Food is the other thing that is offered here. They offer an interesting menu of small globally inspired sharing plates. You are waited on by the staff that works as a team. We sat in the main dining area at a traditional table. The chairs are worn and you sink into them. They are also close together. Maybe too close because when a server got in-between my seat and the next table I had to move my elbow in or it would be on that person. We tried four plates. I felt differently about the plates. Mushroom Plate with miso fondue was amazing. Beet Plate with (non-traditional) salsa matcha was good Halibut and Carrots with (non-traditional) harissa was very good with perfectly cooked Halibut (that doesn't happen too often) but the harissa was so non-traditional that I feel it isn't harissa and is more a spicy creamy rich sauce. Tagliatelle with lemon-cheese cream was cooked perfect but was so over salted that I was not able to eat it. I have no idea on how my husband ate it. He said it was very salty to him but he ate it anyway. Someone did check on us and I did tell her that I wasn't able to eat the pasta dish because of how salty it was and she really was as nice as possible and did offer to get me something else but I also had the halibut plate to work on so I didn't want another plate. I really wanted to try another plate but was too full to get another plate. A manager checked on us and asked how everything was and we did mention on how salty the pasta was. She was as nice as can be and offered to remove the pasta dish from our check but we refused because my husband did eat the whole plate so we thought that we should pay for it. I was so happy to see Ada's moved into the old Esther's location! Tbh I heard great things but rarely make the trip to the west side. Now that it's in the Arts District I can see myself going all the time! First of all they have an Amazing wine list. It's even a James Beard awarded wine list, and I can see why. My favorite part was the Somm picked wine flight. 4 (small-ish) glasses of wine for $35. You literally can't beat that. Especially when you have a wine list that's really hard to choose only one. Because of the Somm flight, I was able to try a dry royal tojkai. I didn't even know that existed as a wine and had only had the sweet kind before this night. The food is to die for. It's a James Trees restaurant so you know it's going to be good, and the Chef here is doing amazing things. We tried a ton of food and everything was perfect. Our surprise favorite was the whipped Brie. We ordered a second round it was so good. What a perfect start to a night out, or a nice date night to come in, get the wine fight and some whipped brie!? In Vegas again, strong suggestions from people in the food industry to try Ada's in the Arts district. We made reservations and they were fairly crowded for a Wednesday night. Great wait staff who advised us next door was a free wine tasting and if we wanted to slip over before the appetizer came they could hold the appetizer. A very nice touch. The menu is small plates with very interesting pairings and the dishes flying by our table looking beautiful. Prices are very reasonable especially when coupled with the quality of food. We are going to be good tonight and not over-order. The PEI mussels in coconut broth with grilled bread, thinly sliced cucumbers and onions, chives and a hint of chili oil was awesome. It was almost a deconstructed traditional order of mussels in a perfectly savory broth. Homerun! The shrimp cooked in butter, garlic and chili oil was served over a wedge of delicious grilled bread that soaked up the uncious sauce. The dish was very salty. Our final dish was the tagliatelle with pecorino and lemon cream. It was similar to an Alfredo but dryer. The cheese was good but a bit overwhelming. I loved the lemon cream while others thought it was a bit bold. A small contrast to break up the cheesey taste would be to add a small amount of toasted bread crumbs and adding an additional texture to a cheesey entree. The menu is intriguing with many unique combinations and other selections I'd love to try. Ada's is a good selection, off strip with a great vibe, and innovative combinations by the kitchen staff. With two minor hitches, it should be added to you must investigate list. To Ada's, very nice job, you are never going to make everyone happy, but a great product, thank you. read more

The shrimp could have been a bit more delicate as it was a bit overcooked. Their sourdough is where it's at with a crunchy texture, lightly salty buttery exterior and good flavor overall. I loved my experience here! I didn't have a chance to try the food, but the wine was fantastic! I went for a wine tasting and was able to do a wine flight. It was very exciting because I could choose for them to select a mystery taste for me. I love trying new things and this brought me out of my comfort zone. The wine taste were great. The staff was warm and friendly. They really wanted us to enjoy our experience and if they could tell a wine wasn't our favorite, they did what they could to help us find something we did like. Now that they've moved downtown they have their liquor license, but the space is a lot tighter and more loud. All of the dishes i ordered were served with a sourdough and i wish i had checked more throughly so that I wasn't just ordered carbs on carbs on carbs. The only thing I wouldn't order again is the cured meat app. Didn't mesh with the bread too well, and the ricotta with bread was kinda hard to chew, both my friend and I had to drink water because it wasn't going down on its own. Great little restaurant in Tivoli Village. Was walking around and spotted it and decided to give it a go. We had a few of their dishes with the shrimp garlic and chile being my favorite. The one thing I would change next time if stopping by is getting the bread the out at the bottom of the shrimp on the side. The sauce it sines with makes it really soggy and can't enjoy it. The oysters were my least favorite just because of the vinegar cucumber sauce on top. Wasn't my favorite. The aged wagyu was ok but definitely try the shrimps. Like with any restaurant that you haven't been to or heard of, I recommend asking the staff what they recommend. Along with their advice, we ordered ordered sourdough toast + duck butter, cured wagyu beef + aged beef fat, fried brussels + pineapple gochujang and wild mushrooms + sherry and rosemary. They were all good little small bites and complimented each other well but if i were to recommend one of them, I highly recommend the fried Brussels as it was perfectly balanced and had a unique flavor to it. The sourdough toast and even partially the Wagyu beef also didn't really win me over. The toast was also a bit too charred for my liking and I would rather get something else next time instead of the two. As we did come here during the holidays, Ada's decorated their restaurant to be more in the holiday spirit and it definitely brought that holiday feel. This dimly lit restaurant brings a cozy vibe as it is small and intimate. We mainly come here for a few drinks and small bites. They have a decent wine selection but the only downfall (which may or not be their fault) is that they served a wine that smelled like funky old water (that's the best way I can describe it). I am not a wine enthusiast at all but a "quality" wine that smells funky isn't a good start to a meal. While the rest of the wine selections were decent, this one didn't help leave a lasting impression overall. read more

We originally were going to Esthers but it was booked so we waited and went to Ada's and we are very glad we did it was better then Esthers, the food was creative and delicious! We met the wine goddess and she was so chill and welcoming abd our server was down to earth and sweet. We are taking our freind back there this coming week. We highly reccomemd this place it opens at 3 with a happy hour abd its definitely and don't miss if your visiting town. read more
