We had a great time here while visiting, Vibe was good, Service was great. People were cool. Just a good ol' time and it was a Tuesday night...lol I didn't drink but my friend did and said her drink was strong. I'm not sure if they serve food, I didn't see anyone eating. I'll always be a loyal supporter of Ali and the Alley Kats and any venue they perform at, including Cork & Thorn. It's consistently a great atmosphere, and I truly enjoy coming out to support. That said, I did want to share a small concern. After about 11:00 p.m., there seems to be a noticeable shift in the way Paris interacts with guests. On a couple of occasions, my friends and I left feeling a bit undervalued, especially considering the amount we spend on drinks, hookah, and table service. I'm hopeful those two experiences were simply one-offs and not reflective of the overall standard of the establishment, as we genuinely enjoy the vibe and would love to continue supporting. read more

Cork & thorn.... Ahhh I really wanna love yall, but every time I've gone it's been crazy I recently went for a 3rd try (third times the charm right) and I don't think I'll be back. Positives: DJ was amazing! Back to back bangers, great vibes when it came to the music and dance floor. Drinks were not too bad, pricing wise. Pretty good variety of liquor options. Negatives: service was SLOW as hell. The bartenders are social (a positive) but they having extremely long conversations with people they were serving and the bar was so crowded & busy. Additionally, one of the bartenders that was serving us ended up getting an attitude with us when they asked "who was here first" and when we said it was us, the people next to us got extremely defensive and she ended up serving them. When she did finally serve us, she got mad because she kept leaving to make a drink before hearing our entire groups order & said very rudely "damn, anything else?" It also was so crowded that drinks were spilling all over the floor and when we said something to someone, they gave us a towel to clean it up. All in all, the place isn't bad, there is good music, it can get a little rowdy because it's not that large of a space and gets packed, but not worth the headache if you're looking for good customer service and space read more

If you're looking for somewhere to party on the weekend this is a decent option. Not on the strip but the music was good. There's plenty of seating but like most places in order to secure a. Table they want you to buys a bottle. The drinks are decent. They supposedly have live music but that didn't happen during our visit. Overall not a horrible experience. read more

Been here a couple of times- clutch spot to have a good time. I don't know what it is like on any other night besides Saturday night: It is a more local feel that plays Rap/Hip Hop. It gets really packed, so hard to walk around. There is a small outdoor patio. If you like personal space, you won't enjoy it here. You will be shoulder to shoulder with others. It had been years since I went to Cork and Thorn. However, I decided to return after I met a promoter who promoted Cork and Thorn in the barbershop. I went on a Friday night after I attended the Isley Brothers concert. The security was professional and cordial while patting me down, and the cover was free all night! I enjoyed myself, and the spot got lit after midnight! The DJs were some of the best I heard in Vegas as they played nothing but mainly classic rap and R&B and focused on songs to get the women twerking, and they sure were twerking in there! The patrons were nearly all Black, with a drop of non-Black folks sprinkled in. The dress code was casual, but I dressed as dapper as usual. I loved the vibe, and I met several attractive women there. I will return. It's a local spot where you're guaranteed to meet locals, unlike going out on the strip, where you're more likely to meet tourists visiting from out of town. read more

Wandered around the Arts District for a bit before a movie showing at the Beverly. Was lured by music into Cork and Thorn. Atmosphere Part 1: After going down the dim hallway, place looked quite spacious but also seemed the type of floor which could get crowded quickly. Broad T counter bar, high-chair two-tops along one wall. Band/DJ/karaoke stage area. Small outdoor patio. Ordered Berry Mule ($14*): Really sweet and juicy yet had a tart zip to it. Arts District Margarita ($12*): Excellent fresh garden fresh taste and scent. Both loaded on the alcohol without being too in-your-face about it, although they could get you off your face quite easily. *I was wildly confused by the cocktail prices. Q-code menu version is listed in my review for the two I had, and were already at an awesome price point. Check base total though was $10 and marked as HH for Happy Hour. That was such an insane deal, but was confirmed by the bartender. Value: High for strong straightforward cocktails at excellent throwback prices in a cool but welcoming club setting. Note that a 20% service charge was included on the check (pre-tax, so that was good at least). Atmosphere Part 2: Decor was accessible upscale, with chandelier ceiling fans, laser lights, Edison bulb light fixtures, great sound system, cushy club sofas and chairs, and cozy alcoves. Family came in to see Adele and wanted to hang out for a bit, so I made a reservation (which is really easy on their website). Arrived and there was no hostess and I had to get a server (not a huge inconvenience but IJS). For two people the only seating options are bar or high boys-couches are reserved just large parties (just information). Server came to take my order immediately and we're off to a good time (well sorof). Asked about hookah and it is sold, managed separately (so off to that section to order-a little inconvenient but not a deal breaker-yet). After a while, the coals needed changing, so back to walking over to ask...was informed they don't change coals but they could swish the coals around or I could buy a refill.... wait for $60 you will only swirl coals and by the way you never came to check to see if everything was ok with the hookah?!? Mind you, I only paid because this was my only chance to spend with my cousin while here and she was just off the flight so no going anywhere else with her jet lag. During the entire time, I kept having to flag a server or tap one that would go by, this made the experience bad and after catching up we decided to leave. Just left brunch a few hours ago & decided to brunch here while in town. This place has a lot of potential BUT the decore definitely makes this place look cheap! Menu: could use a few more options, i had the breakfast tacos 8/10 Breakfast potatoes 2/10 Bottomless mimosas were good but I definitely had to tell them less juice on the second round. What really triggered me was one of their employees , I'm assuming she's a lead, came up to where my friend & i were sitting at asking if we were ready to close out. We still weren't done with our drinks and the fact that she only came up to our table while there were others that were there for way longer than us, made me question why she only asked us. We got the check and noticed that they automatically added a gratuity, i hate when restaurants do this, no wonder our service was mediocre. Music 10/10!!!! Yall just go to fin & feathers. Food is better and ambience is the same with mandatory gratitude but at least their food menu has more options and tasty. read more

I went in for a quick drink and left wondering how someone could be so effortlessly sweet, stunning, and on top of everything all at once. Tahlima was beyond attentive--she remembered everyone's drink, noticed when your glass was low before you did, and had this warm energy that made you feel like a VIP even if you were just sipping club soda. Also, not gonna lie--she's absolutely gorgeous. Like, distract-you-from-your-friends-level gorgeous. But it's her kindness and professionalism that truly make her shine. Arrived around 11pm on 9/27 and the music was great! However, once we went to the bar to get drinks, everything went downhill. The bartender was so rude! He walked away 3x because I wasn't "ordering fast enough". Then he got upset because he put my drinks and my friend's on the same tab even though we ordered separately. He was yelling in our face about how we needed to specify that we wanted separate tabs. We could've told him explicitly if he didn't continuously walk away as we spoke. We saw Cork & Thorn on an episode of Bar Rescue and decided to check them out during our Arts District bar hop. While small, it's still easy to find off Main Street. Security was guarding the front door and he asked us for our IDs for entry. I find it kinda odd that he was talking on his phone while he was checking our IDs. We then went down the hall where another person was guarding the entrance to the main bar. She asked us if we had reservations and we said no. It wasn't packed so we were able to get a high top table without a reservation. I learned upon entry that this is also a hookah lounge. I don't smoke hookahs and never tried to, so we skipped that and had drinks instead. I had a pineapple fizz cocktail and my boyfriend just had a rum and coke mixed drink. Live music started about 10-15 minutes after we entered, which was smooth jazz music. We stuck around for a little while longer to enjoy the music, then went on about our merry way. The ambiance was intimate and the pineapple fizz was excellent. Probably one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. They also have an outdoor seating area to your left before you reach the bar. We came here on a Tuesday night and had a blast even there was almost nobody else but us. The music was amazing!! All the old school 90s hip hop and r&b hits were great for us millennials! The berrie mule was amazing! Interior is great and beautiful. Staff was super friendly and attentive. You don't come here for the food. We tried several items and this is great for a snack when you're hungry but there's no dining experience here:) we had the sliders, tacos, nachos and flatbread. All was acceptable. Okay so it was my birthday weekend so I wanted to try this place out supporting black businesses. Visually, it wasn't that appealing. A green building in an alley so I'm glad I took a ride share. Upon entering, it was a dark place that gave me old school because the furniture as mix matched. The security guard was nice. I seated myself at the bar since most tables were reserved. Great service, limited menu and he offered his suggestion. I got the steak sliders which were very good. Run punch was pretty good as well. There were tv screens with Rubi movies and games so it provided something before the live entertainment. It was also cold and the other ladies who were at the bar thought the same so we left our coats on which was annoying. Band started 15 minutes late but was worth it. Around 10:15, the guy behind the bar told us that at 11:00, they take the bar chairs up. Said I'd be leaving before then but he said he had to tell us and when I asked why he said because it gets busy and people need to be able to access the bar. So where do we go I asked. He said wherever there's a spot. Most places were reserved so that means we'd have to stand . Wasn't pleased with that and never were the ladies at the bar so they left. Never heard of such a policy. I also cringed at the service fee that was tacked on to my bill. I asked the girl sitting next to me and she said it's not the gratuity fee so my tip wasn't the greatest because that was an extra $5-$6 I wasn't expecting. Would I return? Yes because the service was good and there were more pros than cons but for happy hour and not until I learn what that service charge is. read more

I found it a little disappointing, as I was enjoying the atmosphere and would have liked to linger longer. I also have to say that the drinks is lowkey overpriced for my liking Overall, I am excited to return to Cork and Thorne. The combination of a fantastic ambiance, great service, and a vibrant atmosphere makes it a place worth revisiting. I look forward to my next visit and the memories yet to be made! read more
