What a find! All the salsas were amazing. All the margaritas were delightful! We didn't even know it was happy hour. I would pay full price for those margaritas any day! The Carajillo was on point. The chile Verde is a must try!! This will be a stop every time I'm in Vegas!

The food and the service both at Carajillo make this restaurant an exquisite dining experience and a true hole in the wall. The walls are adorned with Aztec motifs and there are neon signs for beer and mezcal, paintings in canvas that scream color and emotion. The servers here are happy to speak in Spanish, and are incredibly friendly, explaining recommendations on the menu and are attentive to chips & salsa refills. The menu itself has tons of flavorful, healthy, and legitimately authentic options, including chilaquiles, enchiladas suizas, menudo, and nopales salteados (sautéed cactus). I will definitely be back!

A hidden gem just off Fremont St in downtown Vegas. We were walking by and the calm eclectic vibe drew us in! The inside was clean and artsy with a decent amount of seating and an open concept feel. The husband and wife team are warm and friendly, providing homemade recipes full of flavor! The menu has something for everyone at very fair prices. The salsa was likely the best I have ever had! Everything was delicious, including the margaritas and specialty drinks. Our whole experience was delightful and I highly recommend supporting this local gem !!

When I say the Mango Margarita was delicious, believe me best Mango Margarita I've had like ever. It's a cute little spot right on Las Vegas Blvd. You can park right next door for $4 an hour which I think it's a bargain. The waitress was so nice , she attended to us in the most unobtrusive way. Really enjoyed our time here!

Carajillo - Super cute restaurant, lots of charm, warmth, and art. Fully stocked bar. Chips & homemade salsa are on point with just the right amount of bite. Service is fast and friendly. For appetizer, we had the nopales al sartén. It was healthy and very fresh. Their fresh salsa trio was phenomenal. De chilaquiles en green sauce was out of the world. BEST in Las Vegas. Pork belly & alambre tacos were tasty. I always judge a restaurant on 3 things: salsa, beans, and rice. 5/5. Our main dish was the Carajillo beef - 5/5.

So good! The food was incredible and the vibe is just perfect! The owner came and talked with us and we will absolutely be back!

I visited on Saturday night and it was fairly busy. It was pretty lively with a lot of patrons eating and drinking. It had a fun vibe. Usually I don't care to go Downtown (parking and crowded) but it was a fun vibe and entertaining. I didn't really order a ton, but the Beef Quesadilla called out to me. It was tasty with a large portion of beef filler and quite cheesy. I also liked the pico de gallo and guac. A lot of people were getting the ceviche, which is what I may opt for with another visit. There were mostly Spanish speakers eating, so that is probably a good sign for the quality and taste of the other food options. Honestly, even though prices were a bit higher, I'd run over to this spot over any similar one on the Strip. The drinks are a different story. I could've stayed all night checking out the options. The Carajillo Affogato was good and met all the flavors that I expected from the description, and the presentation was exceptional. It made me also want to come back and try a traditional Carajillo. It also looked like they looked like they made their own fresh espresso, which is key for this drink. Neat drink prices were reasonable for the additive-free tequila options. There were some drinks specials, but unfortunately I didn't take advantage this time around. Service was pretty good even though they look like they had a skeleton crew. Definitely wanting to come back and check it out in the future since it was worth the drive. Plus, Fremont area is just highly entertaining...

Our only reason for leaving the strip for Fremont was going to be a gamble, and we definitely hit the Major jackpot with Carajillo! The restaurant was easy to find since it is between the El Cortez Casino, and the beginning of the Fremont Strip. Once you enter, you are greeted by Javier, and Alejandra that will gladly accommodate your preference in seating. Since we had a party of 8 with a small frenchie, they were kind enough to seat us in our own corner near the air conditioner vents. The design and feel is definitely an upscale vibe, where you can take a date to and impress, or catch up for brunch with friends. There is plenty of Art on the wall, with popping music, and TVs all around to catch u up on the game. Once we were situated, Javier brought out salsa and freshly made warm tortilla chips with our waters. He was very helpful with guided us through the menu, while entertaining us with jokes. They were offering drink specials, with BOGO sangria or margaritas, and both were delicious. Since I wasn't trying to get drunk, I opt for the Michelada's with Victoria beer, since Javier said he makes a mean one. I ordered shrimp cocktail, esquities, and street tacos pastor/pork belly. My tacos were so delicious, that I order another set with pastor/asada, QuesaBirrias, and another delicious michelada. Every 10mins or so, Alejandra or Javier would check up on us, from water refills to needed salsa sauces etc. Little did we know that Javier and Alejandra were the owners. They were so humble, and helpful with any questions you may have about the menu or things to do on Fremont. It's definitely a blessing to find owners who are really passionate about giving you the full experience of their dreams. If you looking for DELICIOUS authentic Mexican food in Las Vegas, with impeccable customer service, that is very affordable and isn't about price gouging, then Carajillo is definitely the place.

Carajillo is hands down our favorite Mexican food spot downtown Las Vegas. The margaritas are dangerous in the best way, perfectly balanced and fresh. The mole enchiladas are rich, deep, and soulful. The enchiladas rojas are pure comfort, done exactly right. The guacamole is bright and addictive, and the pan de elote for dessert is unreal. We were fighting over the last bite. What really makes this place special is the husband and wife team behind it. Warm, kind, passionate, and genuinely grateful that you're there. You can feel the love in the food and the room. If you care about real food and real people, support Carajillo. Downtown is better because they're here.

Mango Jalapeño and Strawberry Margaritas, so yummy!

Fantastic Mexican food and drinks! We literally drove from the strip just to come here. Fajitas and Carnitas were amazing.

We have visited newly opened authentic Mexican restaurant Carajillo (in Downtown Las Vegas near Fremont Street ) and what a delightful surprise! It is a great location - just minutes away (walking )from Fremont Street. Authentic Mexican food made from scratch from family recipes - we went for lunch and everything that we have ordered was delicious. The restaurant was very inviting and beautifully decorated. Excellent lighting, comfortable furniture , extremely clean and well put together restaurant with care and passion. They also have a live DJ on Friday and Saturday nights, super fun atmosphere! We have met the owners ( a married couple) , they were absolutely delightful, and they took the time to visit our table and talk to us and make sure that our food was good. You can tell they have passion for the restaurant, customers and they care to create great authentic dishes! The food was absolutely glorious. Everything that we had was seasoned perfectly and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was high quality, fresh and tender. The salsa was fresh and flavorful with a hint of heat to it , just perfect! But the dessert - the best corn bread ever ,was a highlight of the day, a MUST TRY! The food was priced reasonably and portions were very good. Overall: Everything was perfect, the food was absolutely delicious, the vibes were warm and welcoming, and the service was amazing. We have eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants and this one is at the top of our list! It's a family owned and operated restaurant with passion and it needs our local support. We highly , highly recommend it!!!

Absolutely a must try if you are in Vegas!!! The food was amazing and the owners are wonderful. The artwork is also really cool.

Habanero salsa, very hot. Refried beans.

Food, ambience and service were all outstanding. Their salsa was amazing. I do feel that they are overpriced. One entree with no drink was close to $33 before tip.

It is now part of the routine when I'm in Vegas. The drinks are tasty but still have personality and a perspective. You can tell by the drink names in conjunction with tasting them - that the Prowl team take what they do seriously without taking themselves too seriously. No pretentious mixology nonsense. I will say the prices are a little steep, but this isn't someplace you are likely to come to on a regular basis, so I can excuse it. The only hint I'll give is that it's located on the casino floor. When we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess. She asked us if we had reservations or were walking in. I really appreciated this because the way she phrased her question told me they had availability and we would be granted entry. The bar is very small and seats about 30. Reservations are strongly encouraged, however we went on a Monday in February. If you're going on a weeknight during off peak season, you should be okay without a reservation. The hostess gave us the option of sitting at the bar or at a table. We asked her for her rec and she said the bar so that's what we chose. The decor is beautiful. The ambiance is dark and moody. It's perfect for a date night. We were greeted by both bartenders. I believe the bartender that made our drinks was Rory. He was very nice and knowledgeable about cocktails. He was able to answer our questions and make suggestions based on our preferences. As we browsed the menu, we were presented with welcome drinks in a fancy smoky container. I don't recall the name of the drink, but it had a lychee flavor with a sugar rim and it was good! Drinks are extremely pricey which is to be expected in Vegas. It's also on par based on where the speakeasy is located (hint hint). The cheapest cocktail was $30 so prepare yourself for the sticker shock. Some drinks were $80-$100! Sometimes you just have to treat yourself. I went with the Velvet Moon which was an interesting cocktail consisting of both gin and mezcal. It had flavors of hibiscus and it also had egg white which I absolutely love! The presentation was beautiful and I really enjoyed it! My friend went with the Basilico Bliss which he enjoyed. I didn't try any, but it looked really good. As we were enjoying our drinks, the staff presented us with savory bar snacks. They were tasty and were a perfect compliment to our cocktails. They do have food on the menu, but we had already eaten so we stuck with our complimentary snacks. As we were closing out, the staff presented us with a complimentary mini dessert. Rory described it as a Carajillo Jello shot. I don't like jello (I hate the texture), but I do love Carajillos. My friend does not drink coffee and does not like coffee flavor, so I ate both of them. They were so delicious (but the texture was off putting lol). I typically don't mention the restrooms in my reviews, but this one is worth mentioning. All I have to say is heated seats with a bidet! We really enjoyed our visit. Had the drinks not been so pricey, we probably would have stayed longer. If you enjoy speakeasies and/or craft cocktails, go have a drink at The Vault! The experience alone is worth it!
