Tacos Make it queso ESCOBAR STYLE

Definitely a place where you have to try!! Food is definitely an explosion of flavors that will make you order more tacos.

I tried this place on a random night and seen they were open late and had decent prices for being downtown. The chicken taco wasn't The best, the drinks were OK, and the steak could have been cooked more. I appreciated the fact they issued me a refund due to my displeasure. The manager came out and she was so accommodating and even invited me back. With customer service like that , I will definitely give this place another chance .

Newer bar/restaurant on east Fremont street in downtown Vegas...food is mainly Mexican handhelds, street tacos, burrito, etc; prices are ok but the tacos are smaller in size...they do have an excellent happy hour daily where for twenty bucks you get as many tacos as you can eat in a one hour period...drinks are on special then as well...service was fine and the bartender did a pretty good job for being solo, it wasn't slammed but it wasn't dead either...Mexican wrestling adorns the walls throughout, pretty cool...small seating area in back that is available for family seating...has only been open for several months or so, hopefully they can sustain, the only drawback was the $9 charged for a can of hazy little thing, a BIT high in my opinion, but, the food is very good...will try again if in downtown area...RECOMMEND

This taco bar is the newest restaurant on East Fremont Street is by the same owners of Evil Pie (which is directly across the street). To start of the vibe and interior design is nice, has a this is going to be a great night feel. They have a Mexican Luchador design and have both American and Mexican wrestling matches playing in the background. The drinks are great and the prices are even better (for being on Fremont). Try their signature drinks oh they do have a great tequila (and other hard liquor) selection. Had to try their Michelada and it was spicy and delicious! Now the food: two words delicious and cheap!! We had a side of chips and salsa, their Mexican pizza and three tacos (two chicken and a shrimp taco). The pizza was amazing and very filling. Btw try their hot sauce, gives the food a good kick! The tacos were on point, the perfect amount of meat. Oh and the best part: all this food was around $50. Will definitely come here again.

Service was amazing the food was great. Shout out to the girl working the bar and taking orders she was running that place with little to no staff forgot her name but yeah she was whipping that place into shape

When I tell you, I love it here I seriously keep coming back! The food is so delicious literally anything you've ordered and dare. I say the hotdog may be the best thing on the menu! The service is very quick, I love sitting at the bar because the ambience to be able to watch Fremont Street go by is the best!

This mushroom taco is unbelievable! Well done Chef Carlos! Shrimp taco with the queso shell upgrade. Do it!

On the last night of our 30th anniversary Las Vegas getaway we wanted to keep it close to the Circa (our home away from home). I was looking for a hard pour and the hubby was in search of some soft tacos. On our first day, we passed Taco Escobar on the way to the Downtown Container Park. Hubby looked it up and found they had options for his pescatarian bride of three decades. So, after a full day of running around Vegas, we closed the chapter on our Flirty 30 trip with a corner table at this interesting joint. You order at the register near the bar and they bring your drinks and food to your table. Or you can just enjoy it at the bar. Everyone was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Felt like you were coming over to a friend's for drinks and a meal. The margarita was a very reasonably priced hard pour in a Tajin rimmed glass. Started with the chips and salsa and a side of guacamole. Generous servings, fun aesthetic, tasty beginning... Added the corn queso and black bean sides. The corn was sweet, savory, and cheesy. And the beans were rich and flavorful. We had so much chips we ended up topping them with the corn and beans and salsa and guac. Like a make your own nachos--so fun and so delicious! Who says you shouldn't play with your food?!? Hubby tried the birria and steak tacos. I had the shrimp and mushroom. We also added the queso shells on one of our selections. DO THIS! It added a savory and crispy layer of cheese around the corn tortilla shell. Fillings were flavorful and fresh. And the mushroom taco had so much umami that it tasted like meat. The texture was unbelievable! Carlos the chef came out to check on things and said he doesn't eat mushrooms but he eats this taco. The mushrooms are braised for three hours. You can tell he puts his heart into his cooking and it shows. The meal didn't feel greasy or heavy. It was just the right amount of everything. We left feeling satisfied and happy that we decided to end our trip at this small but inviting establishments right off the Fremont Street Experience. If you visit Las Vegas we encourage you to 'step outside' the strip, the hotels, and the malls. Try these local establishments and discover some delicious food and fine people while creating a unique experience and lasting memory. PS--Hubby got bought some merch and is rocking is Taco Escobar shirt in the 808!

Attended a private event here. Basically a dive bar on Fremont Street. Ambiance It is a dive bar, however I liked the lucha libre theme on the walls. Food They had shrimp and other types of tacos on trays. Tacos cold but had good flavor. Bartenders friendly. Made stiff drinks.

Found this amazing hidden gem near Fremont Street! The tacos were incredible, the vibe was perfect, and the happy hour margaritas are a must-try (10/10). Huge shoutout to Albert and Carlos for being so amazing and making our last day in Vegas so memorable. Great food, better people. Don't miss this place!

Had a great experience here visiting from California. I ordered a margarita, shrimp and fish tacos. Wonderful flavors! I liked the salsa and flavor of the guac. Cool interior and casual. I'd come again!

Ok... So what's not to like? My suggestion is 2 carne asada tacos.. one of them queso escobar style. Follow it up with a couple Birroa tacos. Everything super flavorful. Margaritas are also very solid... And reasonable with a great tequila selection. This is pretty much a dive ... Used to effect perfectly. I will absolutely be back.

I was told this place was created by the owners of Evel Pie so you just knew this would be a hit! The vibes are chill and there's wrestling themed art around the restaurant so it just lifts your spirits up just being there. They have bar tops and booths to sit at and the food is awesome coupled with great service! Escobar tacos are the way to go, especially with carne asada or adobada. They were so good and filling and also think they do locals discounts! This is a must check out bar if you're down on Fremont Experience, I look forward to eating here again!

It is like any typical taqueria, nothing really extraordinary. I ordered asada tacos and was a bit unimpressed. There was a lot of meat but it was very dry and flavorless. I appreciated how juicy the limes were and the salsa verde was nice, but it was all very underwhelming. It was about $13 for the three tacos, so I expected them to be a bit better than what they were. Despite being a little busy, the food came out pretty quick. This spot is quite dingy. There is a lot of open seating but it is dirty and unkempt. When we were eating there, there was a homeless man seated inside screaming, ripping up newspapers and throwing them around, and playing with a lighter. Although there is an understanding that this is not a fine dining establishment, I think it is a bare minimum standard to host an environment where guests feel safe. It is very loud in there and very casual. It is accommodating for both small and large parties without prior reservation. Maybe the other menu items are better, but if you are looking for tacos, this would not be the best option.

Definitely recommend going when they first open because otherwise it doesn't matter the time or day of the week, the lines are extremely long! Love how spacious the restaurant and how organized it is! Once inside the restaurant, there are several lines and you just line up according to which meat and item you want. The longest lines are definitely the asada and adobada (pork)! Once you reach the front of the line, you just tell the staff which and how many of the item you want, as well as any customizations to it. After you get your order, you just head to the cashier line and paying is so easy and convenient! Pricing is reasonable. - Tacos, tostadas, taco aztecas - $4.12 - Sopes, quesadillas, vampiras, & mulas - $7.54. - fries with meat - $22.18+ - soft drinks - $3.31 Arrived at 11am on Sunday and it was already super crowded. Stood in the asada line for at least half an hour but the wait was so worth it! Got 3 Asada Tacos and the tortilla was so soft, hot, and fresh. It was stuffed with plenty of tender beef! The beef was packed with flavor and marinated so well! The pico de gallo was so delicious, as well as the salsa and guac. The Horchata was ok and nothing special since it wasn't made from scratch like the phenomenal tacos! Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and my food. Definitely would recommend and return!

That and a few drinks made for a great Saturday the 25th. If I were to make any criticism it was the music was way too loud. Blade twice went to turn it down but somebody else in the staff kept turning it up to what even seemed to be Blades frustration. Made it a little difficult to have a comfortable conversation. When they called my name, I went to the counter and notice that they got my order wrong...they gave me a pollo asado taco, instead of a pollo asado burrito with cheese. I swear I had told the lady that took my order that I wanted a pollo asado burrito, but perhaps I was wrong, or perhaps she was mistaken with what I ordered. Either way, I am not one to make a fuss, as restaurant workers already work hard (especially the workers at this place), so their ears didn't need a brat like me to give them an earful about getting my order wrong during peak lunch hours. Anyways, I pointed out the mistake, and mentioned if I can order a pollo asado burrito. An older gentleman (who appeared to be the owner/manager/someone important) working behind the counter said don't worry about it...he'll make the burrito and call my name when it's ready. I thanked them profusely, went back to my seat and didn't even finish my al pastor taco, because they had called my name in less than a minute. WOW! That's customer service right there! I wouldn't even put The Taco Stand on the top of my list of best mexican food in Vegas, even though their food is pretty damn good, but with customer service like this, they've made the jump on my list, and I'll be returning to eat there more often!
