    Birria and supreme nacho
    Wil P.

First time here and yes we were craving nachos and decided to check out their newest location. This place is interesting it's in the back of Area15 right next to Universal Studios, just look for the airplane. It's really nice inside and with a cool looking bar. Our server Lisa I think that was her name, she was amazing. We loved her energy, she had such a great vibe and made our experience so much better with her outstanding service. 10/10. We ordered 2 different types of nachos the birria and the supreme. Honestly in our opinion we thought it was okay, the birria tasted like soft beef jerky, the meat and cheese portion on the supreme was kind of disappointing it was overshadowed by the other toppings. Order extra meat and cheese. Nonetheless it filled us up and it was a good experience. 8/10.

Nacho Daddy at AREA15 is huge and incredibly spacious. You'll find them at Zone 2 near Universal Horror Unleashed and Looper merry-go-round, next to Dolls Kill. There's a self-parking garage across the street. Easy to find on the corner of Rigel and Meade. This is their 5th location in Las Vegas. Grand opening was on Friday, July 3, 2026. Just a note, the original Nacho Daddy opened in Henderson in 2010 and closed about 10 years ago in 2016. The Summerlin location on Sahara and Fort Apache closed last year in Mid 2025. The remaining Nacho Daddy restaurants in Las Vegas is in Downtown on 4th Street, the Miracle Mile Shops on Harmon, and over on St. Rose Parkway. They also expanded outside of Nevada with locations in Salt Lake City and Nashville, and they're opening a spot in Miami too! I love their new location at AREA15! Their hours vary by day and they're closed on Tuesdays, so it's good to call ahead before you go. Current hours are: Monday, 11am to 7pm Tuesday, Closed Wed, 11am to 7pm Thursday, 11am to 10pm Friday and Saturday, 11am to 11pm Sunday, 11am to 10pm Inside is inviting and spacious with plenty of table, booth, and bar seating, plus there's numerous alien decor and a fascinating wall mural by the restroom. They also have an outdoor patio, and the booths even have charging outlets. The background music is awesome and it's not too loud. Menu offers a nice selection of appetizers, soups and salads, daddy's insane nachos, flaming fajitas, enchiladas, burritos, tacos, and desserts. Lunch specials are Monday to Friday at 10:30am to 3pm, and Happy Hour at 3pm to 6pm. I ordered Quesadilla ($11.99) and asked if they could make as a Mexican Corn Quesadilla, I appreciate they're very accommodating. It's three pieces of crispy grilled flour tortilla loaded with Monterey Jack cheese and Mexican corn, served with sour cream, pico de gallo, and housemade guacamole, very delicious! I hope they can add this to the menu, I would love to order again! For dessert, they have churros and sundae. I tried Flaming Caramel Fried Ice Cream ($11.99), it's golden fried vanilla ice cream, served over warm caramel apples, flambeed tableside for a dramatic fire, so cool and looks amazing! Service from bartender Jazmin, Alyssa, Tait, Pedro, and chef Ruben is very kind, welcoming, attentive, accommodating, and friendly!

    Cool restaurant mural.

I love nachos - these are elevated nachos! This place was a must while we were visiting Vegas. Area-15 is soooo cool and this restaurant was another reason to love the place. The restaurant vibe was great and the nachos amazing. My family also ordered the flaming Carmel ice cream (they light it table side). Our server was great, she was prompt, kind, and helpful with menu recommendations since this was our first time. I wish these restaurants were also in Northern California. #NachoDaddyfans

Fiesta nachos are bomb!!! Delicious and a huge portion! Great for 2 people! We still couldn't finish it!!! Great atmosphere!

Called, and management was kind enough (even though booked up) to tell me to bring our other friend along, and they'd find a way to seat us!! Excellent customer service!! BRAVO!! Seated quickly. Place is quite dark and atmospheric. It's a traditional Old Vegas style location. Menu quite expansive. Lots of good choices. I decided on the French Onion Soup, the filet and the sprouts and swine!! My mates, had a caesar salad (to share) and a filet and strip. Drinks were also nice, a good variety of interesting cocktails. Meal, arrived, all delicious, the onion soup was very beefy with a wonderful taste and the melted cheese, lovely. The filet, done perfectly. They also had a number of sauces you could add, I went with their spicy sauce, and WOW, it was spicy, not unpleasantly so, but def spicy but with a delicious flavor. It truly enhanced the steak!! I'd def get it again. The sprouts and swine (sprinkled with cheese) as a side was also wonderful but so filing, I couldn't finish it all. But def wanted to. Very happy with the meal and our server was excellent as well. He was attentive, but not obtrusive. My mates also enjoyed their meals, it was stellar all around. And this may be the BEST thing here, during the weekdays, they have a Happy Hour dining menu, which means many items, including steaks are 1/2 off! So our filet which would have been $75 was only $38, that's a Vegas deal. And with that quality, it is something to rave about!! The location isn't too big, parking is difficult and reservations are required!! But I really had a great time, hanging out with my mates, and enjoying a superior meal away from the Strip!! I would absolutely return here. From there courtesy with the last minute change in our reservations, to the service at our table, and the delicious food, Herbs and Rye comes highly recommended. Come hungry. There's plenty to choose from. My best suggestion, don't drive there, take ride-share, it'd be a lot easier!! This is a wonderful break from the bustle and overpriced options on the Strip, and part of the old Vegas which is sorely missed. Def returning on my next visit. Thanks to all at H and R for a wonderful evening.

They have a wide selection of drinks that seem to be infused type drinks. There was a couple glitches, this is why our review is three stars. The bar was not crowded at all. As stated there was only another group of four and two bartenders. She was over with them as if they were friends talking to them the entire time. She finally came around and gave us our drinks and offered to take our picture, but by then we had already taken pictures. We had the Crimson drink, which was very good. It had watermelon, flavoring watermelon squares and watermelon flavored Red Bull. I ordered Diet Coke and the first one was horrible. It tasted like it was mixed with something. She was kind enough to pour it out and bring me another one, it unfortunately also had some weird kind of taste. I recommend this place do a deep cleaning. The bar smelled like hot melted metal. The the staff here had no personality whatsoever and was borderline rude and not taking care of the customers. It was a very quiet day and we should've been served with a smile and better attitude. Our waitress was super friendly and really encouraged us to try some things because we really weren't sure about the menu. She was super attentive and we really appreciated that. The reason I'm giving this a three star review (and I feel bad doing so) is because I genuinely hated the drinks. Like viscerally hated. The menu really was a struggle as someone who's a gin drinker. There wasn't a lot on the menu which I'm often used to, but the drinks were either cloyingly sweet or incredibly tart and bitter. There seems to lack of balance and there were a lot of really weird flavors that really didn't seem to go together. Now I can't speak on every single drink on the menu, but I did try a couple that are either premixed or on tap and I really struggled with them. I was excited about the ginger drink, and I was given a taste of their homemade ginger beer, and it felt like it was going to burn a hole through my stomach. Which is typically not my reaction to anything gender flavored. I just think the balance of flavors are not quite right and so certain things overpowered other flavors. I ended up really not wanting anything on the menu because everything was so rum based and I really don't like rum, so they offered to make me a cocktail with some flavors that I liked. They told me they had passionfruit, which I was really excited about. It usually is a really nice combination of sweet but not too sweet and good fruity flavor. I had a passionfruit gin drink made, and it was absolutely gorgeous coming out. Unfortunately, what I didn't know was that the passionfruit that they have is on the very sour and tart side (contained by a staff member later), which has never been my experience with passionfruit in the past. One of the things that I told the waitress was that I really don't like sour. I like citrus but not something that is so overly sour that it tastes like I'm eating a warhead. And the drink that was made for me had both lemon and this really tart passionfruit to the point all I could taste was this awful sour flavor. I felt bad and drank it and was not about to ask it off the bill because they were so kind about everything. The drink ended up only being nine dollars and I genuinely wonder if they undercharged me, but I felt a lot better that that's all I paid for it. Aesthetically it was beautiful, but it tasted horrible. I tried my friends drink, which was a play on a margarita with Mezcal, and that was also incredibly bitter and sour. I'm not someone who needs disgustingly sweet drinks, hence me not liking rum, but I do need a balance of sweetness with the other flavors. My friend thought her drink was OK, but she said she wouldn't order it again. I would definitely give this location another shot if I could figure out a drink that would work, but it seems their drinks either are very sour or very sweet and I'm hoping that at some point they will be able to find a good balance between the two.

My husband ordered the Philosopher's rum which he really enjoyed. The bartender was also trying out a new recipe of a key lime cocktail which is one of my husbands favorites. Cool spot to check out as it is very dark and intimate with a pool table and lots of booths, tables, and high top seating. Good place to come with friends to chill. We only ordered drinks since we came from dinner. I ordered the lychee bloom and charanda's incantation. Our server said that the 2 I ordered were their sweetest cocktails. My friend ordered the matcha tonic. All cocktails were good but the matcha tonic was shockingly very good. It tasted super refreshing and I would order that again! Only downside of this place was on the night we went they told us they ran out of a lot of ingredients to make some of their cocktails so their menu ended up being limited. I would come here again to try their food which sounded good as I read them off the menu. Definitely worth checking this place out!

There was a live DJ, a hype man keeping the crowd engaged, and an overall fun atmosphere that made it feel like a party. The food was delicious--think soul food brunch with flavorful dishes--and the drinks were just as good. My biggest piece of advice: make a reservation. If you don't have one, be prepared to wait. We were initially told the wait would be about 45 minutes, but after waiting that long, we were told we still had to wait until all guests with reservations had been seated. Since reservations kept arriving, it felt like we might never get a table. After speaking with management and going back and forth, we were finally seated after about an hour. Once seated, it also took a while for our food to arrive, but the quality of the food, drinks, and overall experience made it worth it. Just know that Mariposa is off the Las Vegas Strip, so you'll need to venture away from the Strip to get there. Overall, if you make a reservation ahead of time, you'll likely have a much smoother experience. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are absolutely worth checking out.
