We had a really great experience at Firefly Tapas Kitchen + Bar. The tapas portions are perfect for sharing, and I think around four dishes for two people is a good amount, depending on how hungry you are. A special thank you to Kevin for making our experience even better. He was extremely helpful, patient, and attentive throughout the entire meal. He took the time to explain the menu clearly, helped us choose what to order, and consistently made sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. The food was very good, but Kevin's service really stood out and made the visit memorable. He definitely deserves recognition for the level of care and hospitality he provided. We would happily come back!
Went here for tapas with two girlfriends, and it was our first time at this restaurant. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! The flavors were spot-on, and all the dishes were the perfect size for sharing. If you're planning to order the paella, definitely order it as soon as you sit down--it takes about 40 minutes to prepare. Totally worth the wait, though! Such a fun spot for a girls' night out. We really enjoyed everything and will definitely be back!
Don't be fooled by the famous tapas and sangria sign. We were disappointed in most of the drinks/food and service overall. Our server was not attentive. I felt like he was ignoring us. There is plenty of parking. We didn't have to wait to get a table on a weekday. Inside looked nice for a date night. There is complimentary bread with butter. The bread was not warm, but the butter was good. The sangria was sweet and didn't taste like much alcohol. The steak skewer was chewy and the scallop escargot was sandy. If you order anything, the stuffed dates were good.
We had a group dinner here, and it truly was an amazing experience. We had reservations, so we were seated immediately. We ordered a bunch of different tapas, and we loved all of them. Highly recommend if you were looking for an off strip option.
This was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The service was great and the food was amazing . We started with the Golden Beet Salad and Pan Roasted Mushrooms. These dishes are worth the trip by themselves. Next up Empanada stuffed with pork and Pulpo Asado which is the grilled Spanish Octopus. These dishes were fabulous. May have to go back this trip. Our least favorite dish was the bread pudding for dessert probably 3 &half stars. The meal overall a 5 Star affair.
Tried this location out for a large corporate dinner. We got to sample quite a few items from their portfolio of fine foods and I'll shed light to some of these items. APPLE MANCHEGO SALAD- Green apple, Manchego cheese, smoked almonds- this was addicting. it was almost an apple/bleu cheese flavor. Awesome. STUFFED DATES- Bacon-wrapped, smoked almond, red wine reduction, blue cheese. All i can say is WOW, these were lights out and i wanted more. HAM & CHEESE CROQUETAS- Serrano ham, manchego cheese, aioli....one of the tastiest dishes i've had. Absolutely crave more of this flavor. STEAK Y PAPAS- Sliced filet mignon (cooked to your liking) with piquillo puree, red wine reduction. The steak was spot on in flavor and temperature and the "papas" appeared to be some sort of sweet potatoes. It was tasty. Chicken & Mushroom PAELLA- This as essentially rice, chicken, mushrooms. Packed with flavor. We tried a few others too, but these dishes stood out. Shout out to the bread with almond butter as well. The service was very prompt and accommodating and there was a vibrant, warm, and festive ambiance.... defined by a lively energy & stylish decor!
Firefly Tapas Kitchen & Bar is a Spanish Tapas Restaurant and Bar with two locations in Vegas. The Hughes Center Drive location is very close to the Las Vegas Strip. There are multiple rich looking large dining areas, a large bar area and a large patio. The Tuna Tartare was our favorite dish last time so we ordered it again. I don't know if they changed their recipe for it but what we were served tasted completely different. If you blow up both my tuna tartare photos you can see that last years plate contained a sauce unlike this years plate. Both menus (last years and this years) say that the tuna is suppose to be marinated. The chunks of tuna that I ate just tasted like raw tuna and the delicious tuna I had before. It still was an ok plate but not amazing like last time. We both enjoyed the Apple Manchego Salad. That was refreshing and delicious. So was the Tomato Basil Soup with Mini Grilled Cheese. I took the smaller 1/2 sandwich and didn't know that my half had most of the cheese. My husband was slightly disappointed with his half. I thought the stuffed peppers were tasty. The Steak and Mushroom Skewers had great flavors to them but the steak was chewier than it should be. I'm still a fan but the food wasn't perfect like last time. Service was mostly good but they don't bring you new plates.
Although I didn't enjoy the food all that much, my friends highly enjoyed it and the service was great. Food came out extremely quick especially with how busy they were Saturday night. Lots of parking available and ambiance is very nice. My husband loved the bacon wrapped dates and surprisingly I really enjoyed the goat cheese even though it not much a of a cheese girl. Overall good experience.
Lovely date night spot right off the strip. The vibes here are outstanding. The place is so well decorated. Prices are VERY reasonable and definitely a plus of this place! Service is also very attentive and awesome, made our anniversary date night very lovely :). My overall thoughts on the food - 3.5/4 out of 5 It's good food. Is it the best tapas place ever? I wouldn't say so. But here is what we ordered and what I thought of it: Tuna tartare: 2.5/5 - nothing terribly special- it was good! Just nothing to write home about Patatas bravas: 3/5 - again, good! But I fear my bar for patatas bravas is really high. So it's hard to impress me with these. I wish there was more sauce and the potatoes were crispier Machego mac and cheese: 5/5 - yea this was delicious. Definitely not an authentic Spanish tapa but man it was fire. The crispy cheese at the top was so *chefs kiss* Pork empanada: 5/5 - this is the dish me and my partner bit into and both of us rang a resounding "mmmmm!". This is really good- you have to get it. Steak y papas: 5/5 - steak was cooked well, the mashed potato is yummy. Solid choice White sangria: 4/5 - not as much fruit flavor as I'd like in a sangria but it was good Flourless chocolate cake: 4/5 - it's not very rich or sweet which is definitely a good thing after a large meal. But if that's what you're looking for, that's not in this.
Beautiful restaurant with plenty of parking. No wait when we came for brunch around 11:30 am on a Saturday but the food and drinks were disappointing. I got the chicken and waffles and the 2 chicken pieces were dry. The fruit mix was the best thing on the plate! The waffles reminded me of frozen ego waffles that I used to eat. The guava basil mocktail was pretty good. A bit on the sweet side but I'm sure the bourbon guava basil would have been delicious. My friends got a spicy Bloody Mary and they said it wasn't spicy at all, just very salty with no alcohol taste, just tomato. We had to ask for extra spice to add it in. Sangrias were decent. I think they were understaffed because no one offered any soda refills.
We were so excited to try this place during our trip to Vegas! We had spent some time in Spain last year and an opportunity to get some of the tapas we had could not be missed. We visited the location on Hughes, which was closer to the strip, but you still need a ride. The restaurant is large, like a Macaroni Grill, with lots of tables, plenty of two-tops. We tried not to compare it to the tiny tapas hole-in-the-wall places in Madrid and Barcelona. We had a reservation, but didn't need one on this Thursday at 6:30. We stood at the host stand for more than 5 minutes as there was no one there. When the hostess arrived, she sat us right next to another couple, you know where there are a bunch of two-tops against a wall with a long bench seat? It was odd, given that there were SO many other available tables. We ordered a pitcher of the red sangria, which was good. I don't know how many glasses there were, but more than two each. Maybe between two and three? Here's what we ordered (unfortunately, we had a bit of a late lunch so we weren't very hungry): Manchego and apple salad--I liked the ideas of the flavors together more than the result. It was fine, but my bites had too much cheese. May have just been the one we got. Bacon wrapped dates--these were really good! The bacon wasn't too fatty. A crisp almond inside. Yum! Camarones al ajillo--this was spectacular! Similar to garlic shrimp we had on a food tour in Madrid. Perfectly cooked shrimp with fried sliced bits of garlic in a garlic sauce. Dip the bread in it! You won't regret getting this dish! It's almost a reason to come here. Service was very fast! So fast that we were in and out in less than an hour. My conclusion--if this restaurant was down the street from my house, I'd frequent it with friends. I'm sure there's more to try that's really good and our appetite was part of the problem. But not worth the cab fare from the strip.
We came to Firefly with a big group and basically treated the menu like a checklist. Ceviche shrimp, patatas bravas, pan‑seared scallops, manchego mac and cheese, tierra y mar skewers...and more. You name it, we tried it. Not a single miss. Everything came out flavorful, well‑seasoned, and perfect for sharing. (the only miss was that there wasn't more, but that's only because it was so tasty). I don't remember exactly what I ordered to drink, but it disappeared in seconds, and I could've easily taken down a whole pitcher without thinking twice. The whole table felt that way - dangerous. And yes, it's not on the Strip. Yes, it's absolutely worth going anyway. Yes, the prices are great. Sure, there's plenty of good food and drink on the Strip, but this place is 100% worth the short drive. We'd go back in a heartbeat.
When the strip has overwhelmed your senses but your looking for an elegant, fresh vibe that makes great food -- Firefly Tapas meets the need. The ambiance offers a diversity of eating sites within its restaurant that can be for candlelit dining, or patio outdoor lounging, or book a private party room for that special occasion. The servers are attentive and eager to create an enjoyable experience for guests. Their red sangria is a sumptuous balance of red wine, infused fruit flavors and very fine apple cubes. Some tapas are more generous in portion and flavor, eg the baby back ribs, bacon dates were gorgeous; but the tortilla española felt a little dry and small in portions; the stuffed chiles were not as flattering. But, high marks for the overall experience and care from the hostess who went above and beyond to sit our party asap.

The food was great and came out with great flavor. The service was top-notch and they kept my water refilled constantly. The ambience was nice. It was an open room concept so I did get a bit noisy on a Saturday evening with lots of people talking. He can get a little loud trying to converse with your group. read more

This was our first visit to the "new"location, and we brought along another couple visiting from out of town. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn't quite live up to expectations. Overall: 3/5 - Underwhelming Ambience: 1/5 The biggest shift is the atmosphere. The new space feels bright and more like a traditional Italian restaurant, lacking the dimly lit, intimate, and slightly mysterious vibe that once made this place feel special. It's a noticeable departure from what we loved before. Food: 4/5 The tapas-style dishes were solid--flavorful and well-prepared. That said, timing is something to be mindful of. Since plates come out as they're ready, ordering everything at once can leave some dishes sitting too long and losing their appeal. Service: 1/5 Service was the biggest letdown of the night. We repeatedly had to flag down our server just to place orders, and basic touches--like refilling water--were completely overlooked. It made the evening feel more frustrating than relaxing. Value: 3/5 For a party of four, we ordered eight tapas and seven cocktails, totaling over $300. While the food quality was decent, the service and overall experience didn't quite justify the price point. read more
Tried Firefly Tapas Kitchen & Bar for the first time and had a great experience overall. All the dishes were excellent, with the paella being the star of the show, definitely worth the wait. I definitely recommend ordering a few different tapas (all of them were flavorful!) while you wait since the paella takes about 40 minutes to prepare. My only complaint was that it took about 30 minutes for our waiter to take our order, but everything else was great. Lastly it was close to the Strip, which makes it a super convenient spot. read more

Picked this restaurant off of Yelp and got a reservation only an hour before. Wow! So glad we found this restaurant! Everything we ate here was amazing! Definitely get the shrimp ceviche, the scallops escargot and the dessert platter. The service was great, the decor is lovely. Will definitely be coming back next time we are in Vegas! read more

Firefly is always great. Steak skewers and Patas Bravas are my favorite. I've been here recently twice and had a large girls brunch a while back. The have a great room for a larger party. The room is semi private and works great for an executive dinner or fun birthday brunch. Highly recommend a group as there are lots of great things for sharing. I mostly order a few small plates. read more

I visited the location off Flamingo and I watch my server Kevin introduce himself and offer bread service to all parons sitting on the barside BUT me...let's hope the color of my skin was not a factor as I was the only person of color beside the other black man with a woman of another ethnicity...WOW...he customer service skills are lacking and the stoic look on his face as he approaches with my check was priceless...never again at this location Food was good ...My experience was not pleasant at all and this was my 2nd visit...the other was with group of my girlfriends for brunch read more
My friends took me here for my birthday and I left absolutely stuffed. We must have ordered one of everything and nothing disappointed. I had been to the older location a long time ago and was pleasantly surprised to walk into a modern, clean and spacious spot. There weren't many servers when we went but the food came out fast so we hardly noticed. We had a great time! read more
We ordered a bunch of dishes. Firefly fries, seafood paella, baked goat cheese, empanadas, and scallops. Everything was excellent. Service was good, and the ambiance was perfect. We sat near the TVs and got to watch football, which made it even better. Will definitely come back. read more
I visited this place 2 years ago & loved, loved it. I thought about the food & drinks after I left & knew I'd visit again when in town. Well this 2nd visit was a bit different. It was ok, but I wasn't raving like I did before. Food: Beet salad. - beets are sliced super thin. It's good but it's like eating a green salad with tasty walnuts, onions & vinegarette. Beets get kinda lost. 7/10 Lamb chops- get 2 bones in an order. Ordered them Med rare. They came medium. I tasted the thyme on them but otherwise they weren't that flavorful. They were tender. 7/10. Scallops escargot. - very interesting dish. It absolutely has the seasonings & preparation of a typical escargot dish, but with scallops instead of snails. It had a fishy smell as soon they placed the dish on the table (). Served in a classic escargot serving dish with 6 "slots" (pieces) of scallops. 6.5/10 Baby back ribs. Were the favorite of my dishes. Tender. Great sauce hint of spice heat. 8/10 Ambiance is nice. I sat at the tables in the bar area. Cool place, but with so many eating places, not sure I'd venture off strip to come on my next visit. Two years ago i gave the food much higher ratings. (e.g. beet salad & lamb chops were, 9/10) This visit was a 3.5 due to the food, but I'll round up to 4 for the atmosphere, service, & since maybe the food was just "off" this night. read more
Five of us came here for dinner after a conference. The portions were perfect and we ordered way too much. The server was very kind and attentive. I just wish he had told us we ordered too much. Unfortunately we weren't able to take leftovers as we were going out after. The space is very stylish and loved the big tree. Felt like we were outside. Everything we had was delicious! read more

We had friends in town and thought it was a perfect time to give firefly a try. When we arrived there was plenty of parking available, it wasn't super busy but probably due to F1 being in town, also it was early in the evening as well. We were greeted right away and sat immediately. The atmosphere was cool with dimmed lights and neon signs. Our server was at the table right away and got us started, once our drinks came we were ready to order It was easy , because it's small plates or tapas we just ordered a bunch of stuff to share. Everything came out in a timely manner and all the food was good. The food was cooked well and the sauces on top of the pappas great. The Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesey as well. Overall it was good experience and we would definitely go back. read more

I made a reservation for noon my lunchtime so that I can go to firefly there was no waiting in the atmosphere felt as if I was on an island or on vacation. I was in and out within 30 minutes. Serve with a Cristini aïoli atop, shrimp and veggie tempura This was delicious a little bit on the greasy side, but very tasty. The food was good, it's best to order things for the table and try a bunch of different items. Things come out when they are ready, so if you don't share it can be a bit awkward in timing until everyone gets their first dish. There were several things that did not come out that had been ordered. They did take them off the bill, in addition to the lamb that came very over cooked. At the end of the meal, they gave us someone else's check. Maybe it was an off night, but I may try this again just as take out. read more
We went during the happy hour and ordered from their happy hour menu. Pretty good selections for happy hours. Quality wise, I'll ay it's above ok but not a the level of very good. For example, empanada is really dry. Personally I don't enjoy the chocolate leches cake because it's soaked in milk and the texture is just soggy. I thought a good leches jcake, even it's soaked in milk, it should still holds its dense/bouncy cake texture. The mocktail is $12 which I think it's way too expensive. It's no alcohol and just whole bunch of syrups. What do you charge me $12 for?! The restaurant is big and have two separate sides and an outdoor section. We sat at the side that looks like library, which is very comfortable. Overall, it's a good hang out place of you are in the area. read more
A group of eight of us visiting Las Vegas had trouble finding a restaurant that has something for everyone. Then, we found out about Firefly. With chilled tapas, hot tapas, seafood tapas, meat and poultry tapas, paella, desserts, and brunch, there really was something everyone would enjoy eating. First, they brought out some complimentary bread with a really tasty butter. Then, when the entrees came out, I was able to really compare my Baked Goat Cheese (goat and garlic cream cheese, tomato sauce, pesto, toasted baguette) and Petite Filet (mini filet mignon, herb cheese, roasted potato, mushrooms, spinach, red wine sauce) without the mushrooms. The baked goat cheese was absolutely delicious though I needed a bit of extra toasted baguettes to finish it, and the petite filet was so tender and tasty and probably a bit too filling and heavy for me (but kudos to the restaurant for these two dishes that balanced each other well). Most of my friends enjoyed their meals though some meals were spicy when they shouldn't be, and some items were given to the wrong people who accidentally started the wrong dishes. While the serving staff were very kind and shared decent advice, we were a big group and there were other big groups. We weren't checked upon as often as we would have liked. I was the only one in my group without ordering a drink, and I was the only one not offered a refill on my water during the entire meal. Our table was also given the wrong check (which we accidentally were charged more than $100 more than we should have been). We stopped by the front desk on the way out to get this sorted out. I went to Firefly on Flamingo, which is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 AM to 10 PM, Friday from 11:30 A to 11 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday from 10 AM to 10 PM. Saturday and Sunday brunch are from 10 AM to 2 PM, and Happy Hour is weekdays from 4 PM to 6 PM. Wanted to grab a quick bite to eat before our show but didn't want fast food or a fancy restaurant. Tapas were a great choice. Super cute restaurant that was beautifully decorated. Perfect tapas portions. Ingredients were fresh and the food was seasoned well. We had the ahi tuna, fish sticks, and Tierra y Mar skewers. Their bread service and spread was delicious. To drink we had the firefly mule. Prices were higher than expected for tapas but we had a good overall experience. Just need to manage expectations on cost before going. We'll be back. read more
We sat on the patio on a Friday night at this Spanish Tapas restaurant. The server was very attentive without overbearing and friendly. The restaurant is large and can be loud. We started with the Tomato Bread, Padron Peppers, Spanish Tortilla, and Patatas Bravas. All were good though the Spanish Tortilla was not traditional. Warm bread and butter was also served. The wine selection was great and both of our selections were delicious. We ordered the Malbec/Syrah blend from Argentina and the Rioja Blend from Spain. Both were excellent. We finished with Firefly fish stick and Shrimp Camerones. Service was good, the wine was excellent and the food was all good without anything being outstanding. A solid tapas restaurant! read more

Firefly was an amazing choice for my mom and I - we weren't super hungry but the small plates allowed us to eat a bit of everything and share with each other. The restaurant is gorgeous and ample parking spaces. The hostess greeted us immediately and walked us to a table near the bar and the bartender quickly followed with water and bread. We were able to order almost completely off the happy hour menu and just enjoyed the chill atmosphere of the bar area. Happy hour is 4-6 with select plates for $7 & $9 - only the mussels weren't on the HH menu. Everything came out pretty quickly and tasted amazing so I'd definitely make an effort to return the next time we're in Vegas. read more

Came on a Wednesday afternoon, and it wasn't too busy. Service was fantastic throughout the visit. The design and overall view of the spot is super modern, chic, and inviting for weekend brunch. Their menu items are quite extensive, with modern-ish spins on mostly American food and Hispanic foods. I found the menu to be a little pricey, as portion sizes are relatively small (tapas style), and probably good for three people to split. However, the prices are consistently $10-15. We ordered a lot of items, and a few stood out to me. - Green apple salad (9/10): this was super interesting. Cheesy, crunchy, with some nuts on the top. This heaping pile of sliced up green apple was surprisingly my favorite dish. Unique, innovative...I really enjoyed this, and expected this sort of item from this sort of restaurant. The rest of the items that we got here were pretty standard and a little disappointing. - bacon wrapped dates (8/10): small bites, comes out with maybe five total dates. These are flavor bombs though, very enjoyable - Mac and Cheese (6.5/10): quite cheesy, goey, but overall quite mediocre for the price - Ribs (7/10): tender, fall off the bone Ish, but I felt like it was quite homestyled ribs that I could bake in my oven. Good, nothing amazing. Overall, I felt like this is pretty Americanized "tapas" that gives a homestyle flavor, with a few items with a modern twist that I think might be worth. Would not recommend items that sound boring, because they probably will taste that way, while being a little expensive. read more
It's been a while since I've reviewed Firefly and it continues to be one of my favorite places. I especially like bringing friends visiting Vegas here since it's different and the Happy Hour in the Bar is always a good deal. The hostess may be new because she seemed a little awkward when we asked to sit in the bar area. There was a table available but it had dishes still on it. It seemed like she didn't know how to get it cleared off as she looked around. After a few minutes someone came to clear the table. Our server was friendly and answered questions my friends had. They have had tapas only once before. I ordered my faves for the table, and they enjoyed everything. Faves of the faves were Bacon Wrapped Dates, Empanada, Ham & Cheese Croquetas, and Albondigas (Meatballs) . Happy Hour is 4pm - 6pm, Monday through Friday. The bar area is upbeat and a good vibe with lots of natural light, like the whole place. Lots of easy parking. read more

Hard to say. Likely depends on how many staff show up for work, how many reservations there are, etc. There's no guarantee for wait times, unless you're the first reservation of thecday.

I have not seen dancing there but you can always do what you want to do and they do play good music!

Yes! I hear it's a happening place for dancing. I have yet to have the opportunity to go but my friends rave about it.
