New brunch/dinner spot in the art district in Las Vegas. We were able to easily make a reservation on OpenTable. The restaurant is inside a large white building, but the entrance is on Colorado Street. When you enter the restaurant, it's almost like you're entering Alice in Wonderland's mad tea party. There is eclectic furniture, large chandeliers, and trees inside. The drink menu is pretty large. They do have an entire page dedicated to mocktails. I tried the two gin mocktails and both were delicious. They also offer bottomless mimosas and they do mean it. It was actually pretty decent champagne that they used. To start we had the shrimp toast. It was not what I expected, but it was OK. For my meal, I had the banana French toast. It was tasty. My spouse had the steak and eggs. This is a happy hour review only. Beautiful restaurant with very nice servers. They offered for us to sit at the lounge tables since the bar was full. The old fashion was good but not consistent. The food was fantastic. The red wine on happy hour was not very good at all. One sip was enough of that. We didn't complain and just left it undrank. Service was prompt, water refilled and plates cleared without being asked to do it. Well, I got lucky. It was my friend's birthday so I suggested the group dine at Palate. I got to try the dinner menu. It was AMAZZZZINGGG! I ate my weight my biscuits. They were possibly the best biscuits I've ever had. Crusty on the top, moist and delicious on the inside. The Mac and cheeses were yummy. Scallops were cooked perfectly. The short rib was so tender. From the first impression when we walked in to the quick walk by the bar on the way out, we were blown away. We also ordered a charcuterie board selection that was titled the butcher block. It had prosciutto, duck pate, an array of different cheeses that were all very good, some soft and creamy and others harder and sharper. I apologize because I don't remember the names of the cheeses. This board comes with biscuits but we were able to get our original order of the toasted pimento in its place. We also ordered some sliders. First of we made reservation and got a deal with inKind app to use. We paid our meal via the app and got reward back. Ok let's talk about the food. There is a pretty good selection on the menu. We decided to do family style and share our dishes- our waiter did offer if we like to increase the amount of sliders to cover all five us- decided to just order the dishes as is and we sliced it. We ordered oysters, biscuits, grits and gravy, longanisa sliders, and half bird. Love each dish. The chicken was moist and flavorful- it was accompanied by collard greens and amazing kimchi Mac and cheese. Biscuits is so good and came with flavored butter and jam. Longanisa sliders was juicy with accompanying season fries. We enjoyed the all you can drink mimosas. And our coffee was refilled by our attentive servers. Make sure to make room for dessert- we shared the deconstructed hummingbird and hot brownies with homemade made ube ice cream with coconut/pineapple sauce. Both dessert were perfect. Had a really lovely time at Palate Wednesday evening. Had a chill girls night. Enjoyed the $1 oysters to start and shared a butchers board. Personally wasnt my favorite board but the cheese were great and the biscuits were the star. Ellie was our server (name on the receipt so I hope it was her). I blown away by the amazing value. Following our waiter's recommendation, we also got the Biscuits of the Day which came with a delicious maple butter and jammy preserves. There was something special about those biscuits - I want to say they had a hint of zest or something - so good. The absolutely BEST dish of the night was the Miso Bronzed Pork Belly. This is definitely an Instagram type place. I ordered the Christmas time drink, which was adorable and served in a Charlie Brown style Christmas tree with a drink in the ornament. It was really, really good. We moved on to the homemade biscuits and seasonal jam. Now, I'm not a big biscuit person, but my husband is impossible to impress and said these were the best biscuits he's ever had. Now, this is unfortunately where we take a nose dive... I ordered a dozen oysters, and let me tell you, it was like I was drowning in the Pacific. It was so salty and really hard to get through. Without a doubt the worst oysters I've ever had. My husband got the Easy Like Sunday Morning platter, which looked good, but the potatoes were pretty dry, and it was very middle of the road. I will say the service was top-notch, and they even gave us some complementary cotton candy at the end, which was cute. I think the food execution is done well and emphasis on presentation without detracting from taste. I think food preparation takes a little longer than desired, especially if you are over hungry (so be aware of that); however the meal is very filling and plates are shareable. My water glass was consistently filled without asking, we were checked on frequently without being overbearing, and they always took the time to give recommendations regarding the menu as the meal continued. The oysters are tasty and we definitely ordered a lot. Their special vinaigrette was good but it was too hard to get the onion out of the bottle with the liquid. Thr scallop carpaccio (don't remember what it was on the menu) gel similar to a ceviche. Very fresh and great flavor. We also ordered the salmon belly, which was good but for the price, I wouldn't get it again. The biscuits were also tasty. I haven't had many savory biscuits a these were really good. When we came before we got one of the charcuterie boards which had some good options. The board was served with the biscuits and while we like both separately, the flavor of the biscuits overpowered the other flavors on the board. The menu has lots of different options. I did have a tough time with were the pricing, Just a little high to me to really try some of the other options on the menu. The happier is a very nostalgic presentation with the ability to roast your own marshmallow. This is a much more whiskey forward drink with notes of chocolate, but not a full chocolate experience. For brunch I ordered the morning glory palate board. I opted for the biscuits rather than the foie cornbread. The banana bread French toast amazing, the pumpkin seed brittle is a soft brittle with a lot of flavor. The biscuits were amazing with the in house prepared jam. The pork belly was so soft and tender you only needed a fork to separate it. The potato rosti was cooked beautifully with soft potatoes, it did lack some flavor though. The frittata was cooked well, and many may truly enjoy it, but I was not aware that there was goat cheese in the frittata and it definitely left an unwanted taste in my mouth. This is a must try! I will say first things first, it can be a little pricey for a casual night out. For a date night, it's worth it. It has a laid back vibe so you don't have to get all dressed up. You'll dig the decor. Our server was on point and the food came out surprisingly quick. The pork belly was 10/10. My wife's not a big fan of pork belly and she said it's probably one of the best things she's ever eaten. Charred to perfection. We also had the short rib entree which was decent. I think it could have had more sauce. But definitely still good just not as good as the pork belly. The cocktails are definitely a step up as well. I'd say try one off their smoked section. Really cute, moody ambiance! Hospitality was 10/10. Would definitely recommend this spot to family and friends visiting Vegas

We were welcomed in by a really friendly and sweet host. She had so much energy and I can tell she really loved her job. I believe her name was Monica. The resturant was lounge like and it was dimly lit. It's a good place for a date night. It was Latin night so the music made the atmosphere lively. I liked how the music wasn't overly loud and it was good enough where I can still have a conversation. We went around 10pm so there was only the late night dishes. The prices were okay, there are cheaper late night menus out there. The food itself was mediocre but the drink was amazing. Short rib fried rice 6.5/10: the portion was fair for $10. There wasn't much meat in it and the rice was a tad bit dry. But the taste was flavorful. Nothing really popped for me on this dish. Steak and frites $18 7.5/10: the steak was perfectly cooked to a medium and seasoned. However there was nothing special about the fries and it was pretty plain. I wish they added maybe a vegetable or something to the dish to make the presentation nicer. Purple rain cocktail $16 9/10: the highlight of the night for me. The drink was so good and the jellies were probably my fave part. The drink is not too heavy which I liked. It had a sweet creamy flavor profile and I definitely tasted the ube. The price was a bit steep in my opinion but it's hard to get a cocktail nowadays under 15. Overall the food was okay and left me wanting more. The drink was amazing and I would consider going back to trying their other menu items or coming back during happy hour. read more

Gosh, I really wanted to love this spot because when you walk in, the decor is beautiful. We were seated at a booth and our server Kahliyah was awesome! Thank you . Food: Oysters Hamachi Longanisa Sliders Biscuits of The Day Ube Drink- Purple Rain The negative: The Hamachi was the worse ever. It did not taste good at all. Extra fishy taste that the next day I had to go to another restaurant to get my Hamachi fix which redeemed the Hamachi failure I had at Palate. My friends enjoyed the Oysters and Ube Drink. It was like Halo Halo to me. The sliders was a disappointment for me. Only because I was expecting Longanisa (being Filipino) and if they did a spread on the burger meat, the spread lacked the flavor. Lastly, the fries and Biscuits were delcious.
