This is a happy hour review only. Beautiful restaurant with very nice servers. They offered for us to sit at the lounge tables since the bar was full. The old fashion was good but not consistent. The food was fantastic. The red wine on happy hour was not very good at all. One sip was enough of that. We didn't complain and just left it undrank. Service was prompt, water refilled and plates cleared without being asked to do it. Unfortunately we cut the fried egg before we took the picture but the short rib fried rice was excellent.

Well, I got lucky. It was my friend's birthday so I suggested the group dine at Palate. I got to try the dinner menu. It was AMAZZZZINGGG! I ate my weight my biscuits. They were possibly the best biscuits I've ever had. Crusty on the top, moist and delicious on the inside. The Mac and cheeses were yummy. Scallops were cooked perfectly. The short rib was so tender. I can't say enough good things about the pork belly. You can't go wrong with anything pork belly at Palate. The pork shoulder was so flavorful. You could taste all of the warm spices and the cornbread bao buns?!!! Why didn't I think of that? I can't wait to go back!

Ambiance: super cute and spacious in here. they had a live performer & they weren't super loud Service: the ladies were lovely. super nice & accommodating Food: omg everything here was amazing! literally not a single bad or "okay" dish. if anything, i wish i had more on my plate. also, cocktails were amazing! i got the cocktail that's also a tea (sorry don't remember the name) and it was delicious! probably the best cocktail in town. i would highly recommend this place to anyone - it became one of my favs!

Holy wow... great recommendation from Yelp. The attention to detail in this joint is stunning! From the first impression when we walked in to the quick walk by the bar on the way out, we were blown away. Great music (blues brothers vibe), loads of color and crystal, and I haven't even gotten to the food yet. The food... perfect brunch option. The poached eggs were silky and beautiful, the sauces were scrumptious, the chicken was juicy and flavorful... and the desserts were epic. I don't want to ruin the surprises for you, but you can't go wrong. Perfect portion sizes too. Top it off with friendly and personable service and our brunch at Palate was my favorite dining experience of the year so far!

Beautiful establishment, sheek decor beautiful color scheme and floral arrangement. We were seated immediately and came in between brunch and Happy hour. We chose to wait the 10 minutes and went with happy hour.. I had the Rose($9) cocktail and ordered fried rice($11). The drink 10/10 the rice had potential good in flavor but it came out warm, not hot fresh being that happy hour just began and had a separate menu. There was also a heavy presence of oil that you could taste and visually see on the plate, that I couldn't enjoy it. Service was good and atmosphere relaxed, definitely a must see.

WOW! We decided to get a bite to eat late Saturday afternoon in the Downtown Arts District, and wandered into Palate. In a sea of taverns and breweries, this was a total surprise, and a very pleasant one at that. This place is fit for royalty with the bold red and purple colors normally associated with the rich and famous. Even their center table under the luxurious chandelier is aptly named the Kings and Queens' Table. So much to see and appreciate: * Red and purple plush seating areas -- booths and tables * Center table for eight people under huge chandelier * Fully stocked bar and counter with bar stools * Supportive posts transformed into trees with twinkling lights in the branches * High end choices of dinnerware and stemware (check out the brands of the wine glasses) * Creative menu and delicious foods * Chandeliers everywhere, even in the restrooms * Waiting area with plush seating * Lot of art (owner's mother has incredible talent creating and curating) on the walls * Very attentive staff --- no lollygagging around. Everyone was hustling! We were hoping to have dinner, but dinner isn't served until 5 pm. To our delight, they have happy hour on Saturday! So we got a taste of their foods, and what we had was decadent and scrumptious. We will return to try the other foods which we are positive will be just as delicious if their happy hour menu is any indication. Needless to say --- what an incredibly impressive and wonderful experience that we want to repeat. And we'll bring friends!

My wife and I came here on a late Saturday afternoon. We were seated immediately and our drink orders were taken. I had my usual drink, a diet coke. They had the small crunch ice that I prefer! They offer a daily selection of biscuits and todays selection was a toasted pimento. Sounded interesting and we have never tried anything like it so we took a chance. We also ordered a charcuterie board selection that was titled the butcher block. It had prosciutto, duck pate, an array of different cheeses that were all very good, some soft and creamy and others harder and sharper. I apologize because I don't remember the names of the cheeses. Trust me, they are all very tasty. This also came with pickled carrots which were good too. This board comes with biscuits but we were able to get our original order of the toasted pimento in its place. We also ordered some sliders. The sliders came with fries and those were the best fries we have had in a long time. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Perfectly seasoned, we couldn't stop eating them. The sliders were delicious. It was juicy and flavorful. Three sliders come with each order. Now again I apologize for the lack of photos in this review. The food looked so good we dug right in without taking photos, realizing our mistake too late. We highly recommend this place and we will be back.

We discovered Palate through Yelp while looking for a lunch spot on our drive into Las Vegas, and what an incredible find it turned out to be! My boyfriend enjoyed it, but I absolutely fell in love with this place from the moment we walked in. Everything about this restaurant feels thoughtfully curated. The décor is charming, whimsical, and unlike anything you'll find in the typical Vegas dining scene. The food menu is imaginative, and the cocktail menu is a work of art all on its own. Now, let's talk about the cocktails... because WOW. These were hands down some of the best cocktails I've ever had. I ordered the Tea for One and The Rose, while my boyfriend enjoyed the Banana Pancake and Smoking Section. The Tea for One completely stole my heart. I could seriously drink this all day long! It was light, refreshing, beautifully balanced, and so incredibly smooth that you couldn't taste the alcohol at all which is exactly how I love a well-crafted cocktail. The presentation was absolutely magical, making me feel like a princess enjoying afternoon tea... with a delicious grown-up twist. The Rose was equally stunning, arriving with a real rose as part of the presentation. It wasn't just beautiful, it was floral, refreshing, perfectly balanced, and every bit as enjoyable as it looked. My boyfriend couldn't stop raving about his cocktails either, especially the dramatic presentation of the Smoking Section. The food was every bit as impressive as the drinks. My boyfriend ordered the off-menu burger special, and I had the Palate Benedict. Neither dish was ordinary, and that's exactly what made them so memorable. The Palate Benedict was a creative spin on the classic Eggs Benedict, replacing the traditional English muffin with a crispy fried hash brown patty that added incredible texture and flavor. Every bite was delicious. Then came dessert... If you visit, save room for The Hummingbird. Trust me. It was honestly one of the most breathtaking desserts I've ever been served. It looked so gorgeous that I almost didn't want to disturb it. Almost. Thankfully I did, because it tasted just as incredible as it looked. It's easily one of the most creative and delicious desserts I've ever experienced. Just when we thought the experience couldn't get any better, our check arrived with fluffy pink cotton candy. What a fun, whimsical, and unexpected finishing touch! It's little details like this that make Palate feel truly special. To top it all off, owner Rudy stopped by our table to chat with us. He was warm, genuine, and incredibly welcoming. He even personally brought over my boyfriend's Smoking Section cocktail, adding another personal touch that made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. From the imaginative menu and unforgettable cocktails to the creative cuisine, stunning presentations, exceptional hospitality, and playful attention to detail, every aspect of our visit exceeded our expectations. Palate wasn't just one of the best meals we've had in Las Vegas, it was one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had anywhere. Without question, this restaurant has earned a permanent spot on our list, and it will be our first stop every time we're back in Vegas.

Omg!!!! This place is a gem! Food, service, ambiance A++++ Staff is extremely friendly from the moment I arrived. The shrimp toast was delicious and my Lucy in the Sky was amazing. If you're in the Arts District or just looking for a place to offer something different then this is the place for you. Rather it be date night, girls night, or a place to enjoy solo (like me :-) ) you won't be disappointed I promise!!!

What a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was so whimsical and it's super cozy. The food was yummy and our server was so sweet. Our server was Ellie and she was very friendly and very hospitable. She checked on our table pretty frequently and explained the whole menu to us.

Love exploring the Art District of Vegas. So many great restaurants to try. We finally made for Sunday brunch at Palate. I can tell you it didn't disappoint. First of we made reservation and got a deal with inKind app to use. We paid our meal via the app and got reward back. Ok let's talk about the food. There is a pretty good selection on the menu. We decided to do family style and share our dishes- our waiter did offer if we like to increase the amount of sliders to cover all five us- decided to just order the dishes as is and we sliced it. We ordered oysters, biscuits, grits and gravy, longanisa sliders, and half bird. Love each dish. The chicken was moist and flavorful- it was accompanied by collard greens and amazing kimchi Mac and cheese. Biscuits is so good and came with flavored butter and jam. Longanisa sliders was juicy with accompanying season fries. We enjoyed the all you can drink mimosas. And our coffee was refilled by our attentive servers. Make sure to make room for dessert- we shared the deconstructed hummingbird and hot brownies with homemade made ube ice cream with coconut/pineapple sauce. Both dessert were perfect. We totally love the vibe- with live music- the singer was totally amazing - don't forget to tip him as well. Definitely coming back and will try dinner. Only thing in the art district is the street parking but pretty easy to find one.

Had a really lovely time at Palate Wednesday evening. Had a chill girls night. Enjoyed the $1 oysters to start and shared a butchers board. Personally wasnt my favorite board but the cheese were great and the biscuits were the star. Ellie was our server (name on the receipt so I hope it was her). She was wonderful to conversate with, attentive and provided great recommendations. Some of the cocktails have a fun presentation with different glassware and additions. Drinks were also dangerous~ well mixed. For a Wednesday it was mellow and a great place to talk with friends. Will definitely be back!

So so so cute inside. You're really kind of taken back by all the vibes but it somehow all fits so well. They had a DJ mixing Rihanna, while I sit on purple velvet chairs looking at a menu that serve longganisa. The menu itself is so interesting, and you think omg that's kind of funny but then you taste the food! Your eyes widen and your jaw kind of drops because WHY DIDNT ANYBODY THINK OF THIS BEFORE??? I was sooooo happy with this meal. I had never been to the arts district, it was a nice sun day away from the strip with just as amazing food if you were on the strip. PLEASE do yourself a favor and visit!

At first we had a difficult time finding the place because we were expecting to see a big sign but there was none. Locate the Art's Square sign and walk toward the double doors straight ahead. The vibes are very intimate, emphasizes the arts, and every bartender and server is very friendly, even the hostess! First off, loved their menu booklet. I learned a lot about different drinks. I also loved that they had pictures that went with their drinks too. Seriously, lots of options! I also loved that they gave us a little card that had their most popular drinks based on taste. Our check came in a DVD plastic too, super nostalgic. I have not seen one of these in forever. Lol My friend and I ordered our first cocktail off this card and they were both incredible. I ordered the Crimes of Passion and she ordered the Dreamsicle. I like my cocktails sweet and these were both great. We ordered truffle fries off their small bites menu, which was enough to hold us over. For the second cocktail, my friend ordered the Nocturno Espresso. She liked it a lot, but it wasn't my preference since it was just a little bitter. I ordered what my bartender recommended me. I mentioned liking sweet drinks and he asked if I liked strawberries to which I replied "of course!" He made me a cocktail named the "Two Step" that I couldn't find on their menu but it was exactly the kind of drink I was looking for. We recommend making reservations. We tried to walk-in one night and they had a 30 minute wait, so we ended up booking a reservation on OpenTable for another day. They only take reservations for 6 people or less, this place is intimate after all. Looking forward to stopping in again!

Our cocktails were crafted fresh and you can tell the bartenders put effort and care into your drinks. I would definitely return to Nocturno to try more cocktails or to try dinner there.

It was ample space for 2 people but I can imagine if you had 4 people you'd feel squished. My friend ordered the Naked & Afraid and I ordered the Tropical Howler with vodka. Both of our cocktails were amazing and we'd order them again. If you like sweet cocktails, Tropical Howler is definitely for you. We both ordered a shot of the Mind Eraser, which had coffee liqueur I believe, I am not sure but you could taste the coffee and it was pretty good. Our bartender gave it to us with straws so you could probably sip it like a cocktail or take it like a shot. We liked the vibes in here due to its dark and intimate feel. We probably would have gotten a different vibe if we didn't have our own booth. I would come here again!

My absolute favorite bar of all time! 1000000000000000/10!!!…read more I could live at Dark Sister!!! It is my go to place to hang out with the girls on a night out! If I am in the arts district, I am at Dark Sister (if they're open... sometimes I'm there in the day and they are not open yet and I am sad. lol) It's moody, it's witchy, it's got all the Goth eclectic goodness! I love how it is decorated!!! It's giving dark academia, mixed with a séances, sprinkle in a little bit of dried flowers and top it with a tarot card. They have such a variety of seating, they have large loungey couches in the front, smaller couches with chairs and tables as you go inside, long and larger tables for larger groups in the back, a massive bar area with seating, as well as a gorgeous patio with bar seating as well as tables and loungey bench areas. It is comfy, cozy, and an amazing place to just chill and hang out. The music is always perfect. The lighting is the perfect dark dim. I have never felt more at home somewhere in my life. It is my happy place. It doesn't matter what I'm doing. If I go there it makes me happy! I absolutely love that they have a mocktail menu and that they rotate the drinks every season. I don't drink and also a lot of my friends don't either and their mocktail menu is a winner every single time, I've never had a drink there that I did not enjoy. Honestly, I would love if they had more mocktail options than they already do. I'm really glad that they added snacks!! Their snack tray is amazing I get it almost every time I'm there. The only thing I would like is for there to be more variety of snacks! I do love the chocolate covered espresso beans but somehow, I am the one that ends up finishing them and then I don't sleep... which is definitely a me problem but like... they're addictive man... we need something else chocolate, like, of course keep the chocolate covered espresso beans, but like maybe chocolate covered raisins or chocolate covered berries? If you guys added a charcuterie board... take our money!!! My friends, and I would never leave, Take all our money!! Like a witchy charcuterie board!! I absolutely love that they have an outdoor patio now!!! It is stunning! Being witchy in the fall is going to be amazing there!!! I've been going there since they opened and from the moment I walked in I was in love. I have watched as this bar has continued to grow, and it only gets better with age. I adore the staff, they are so sweet! They have always been nothing but kind and caring. If something is going down outside, they are locking us in and keeping us safe. I was there one time when there was a shooting going on outside and they immediately locked the doors until it was safe for us to leave. I appreciate how much they take safety seriously! I really love that every single time I go there it seems that they have added something new to make it an even more fun experience! They have a lot of really awesome places to take photos! Definitely cute place to have a girly witchy photo shoot! They do a lot of of events and classes, I haven't been able to go down for one of their events/classes yet, but I'm really dying to go take one of the crafty witchy classes! I love that they're not only a bar, but they're also trying to build community! Dark Sister is absolutely perfect. PERFECT. It is all I have ever wanted and more in a space. I will continue being a happy loyal customer for as long as we both shall live. Thank you, Dark Sister for existing... and making my life complete.

The outside patio was covered and had a 2nd bar out there which was very nice. Once we sat down, someone came over to let us know to order at the bar. Once we ordered, we got our drinks very quickly. I can't remember what I got, but 1 of my friends got the spicy drink that comes in a skull glass with 2 peppers to look like horns, loved the presentation! We had great service from the hostess to the bartender! There was a place across the way playing live music, so that was nice in the space. Not sure if we could hear music out there without it. I thought the prices were pretty average for a bar downtown. We also gave the photo booth a try inside and came away with 2 great strips. Great place to stop in for a drink!

We were seated at the bar and had a nice time interacting with the cocktail craftsman/man in charge, Davey. The menu is his creative brainchild and changes a few times a year, with the current one based on the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. There's a 90 minute limit and 2 drink minimum per guest. Because of the craft and attention to detail that goes into each cocktail, we finished our 2 drinks just about right at the 90 minute mark. I really enjoyed both of my cocktails but the one that stood out to me the most was Strange Medicine. It was reminiscent of a martini but with Brie-washed Old Bison vodka, Cocchi Americano, and herb oil. It was so good that I wasn't sure what drink to choose next, but Davey was helpful with a great recommendation for another cocktail served with a chunk of parmesan cheese on top. Keep in mind that you're paying for the experience and the level of craft. So with a 2 drink minimum it won't be a cheap experience but it's definitely something worth checking out for the unique, creative cocktails.

The Laundry Room is dead, long live the Laundry Room. The remodel that took place during Jan to May 2026 saw a wide amount of change from Corner Management, the mother company of LR. They got rid of the absolute corner stone of the lead bartender, Anthony, and redecorated the place to look more like the sister bar, Doberman Drawing Room (5 Stars). The remodel was absolutely needed, as the regulars and Dean's List could point out, the place was kind of falling apart. From water warped bar top, uncomfortable chairs, and chipped paint/worned carpet, you would think this place WAS left over from the Prohibition era. What sets this establishment apart from any of the pretend speakeasy on the strip is the atmosphere. At any given time, you could cram 16 people there at a time, even with the reduced drinking time cut from 2 hours to 90 minutes, this place could only cycle thru 50 to 60 people from the reduced nightly opening of 4 hours from 6 hours previously. This make LR special, not some faux speakeasy in Cosmo or Resort World that could jam in 80 people per hour with room to spare. Gone is the rugged identity of the old laundry room for El Cortez, this is spiced up, every square inch of the wall is covered with some art piece, very much different from the Depression era decor. Some art selection are just straight up chaos from the management, the main cherub piece behind the bar is just insanity. The new master of house, Davey, showed skills with his new 14 drink menu, but fell short of what made LR great in the past 14 years. Now, the man had just two months to create his drink list and per himself, had to start from the scratch from when he took over.. So, with that said, let's focus on the drinks. Hemingway Dalguiri, Dust + Ether, and High Noon Static - all great in taste, presentation, and talent, abet we can see the hesitation when making his own drinks, thus slowing down service by quite a bit. My party saw him struggle making 6 drinks at once, 4 of them the same drinks. Recommendation from someone else, maybe record the drink making process and try to eliminate non productive habits and motions via video viewing. Since Davey is a visionary, looking in the past is a deal breaker for him. If you are trying to finish up a previous menu for the Dean's List, the joke is on you, that is a no. Where the hostess (the only person that survived the purge from the remodel) explained to him that exception needs to happen to keep the Dean's List going, the answer was a no since no one at management told him about this. When asked about what will the new requirements will be for the future, it's simple, finish the menu before it's replaced with no chance of catching up. Once a menu is done, it's done. I guess it's easier to keep the drinks under control with less ingrediencies needed behind the bar, but wait a minute... drink number 15, Research and Development, that should give Davey some leeway to non menu drinks right? Turns out, not so much. Sidecar- cognac, orange liqueur, lemon juice. Simple right? He leaves the room to get something from Commonwealth... didn't management installed a new fridge to hold the larger ice cubes, where previous bar keep have to venture out all the time? Turns out, there was no Cognac or any Brandy in the Laundry Room. I can see how things are shaped, strict bottle control is for the benefit of the bar, not for the customer. There is now Vodka, foam, and milk wash but lost Cognac or Brandy, but besides the freedom of choices were also compounded with complete lack of rules. For the last 14 years, the hostess and bar staff on rotation were friendly yet firm about house rules. First given upon entering the secret or window doors, then by the bartender after an aperitif is given (now eliminated). No photo, religion, politic, standing at the bar, name dropping, brawling, telephone calls, PDA, and smoking, plus don't be creepy, be patient, and know your limit. Most of these were not enforced the first 2 times my party of regulars have visited since the remodel. The cardinal sin of allowing one single 4 top to seat 2 people at a time is just wild. But hey, no rules are listed on the new simple menu and none giving at the door or at the seats. So what is this place now? 20 to 23 dollars for a drink plus more for popcorn. All for the experience of being in a noise warfare between Commonwealth and La Mona Rosa's speaker systems, with LR's own music turned up high, and the piano only used one night of the week. I would recommend Doberman Drawing Room as of now for better drinks options, less noise, and vibe. The new menu to replace Fear and Laundry will come out this Fall, will be bring some regulars with me to check on LR again and hopefully give more than 2 stars on the next review.

It was the integrity behind every moment. Before the séance began, Kent took the time to explain the experience, set thoughtful expectations, and acknowledge the emotional weight of what some audience members might feel. That level of care is incredibly rare. It was clear he wasn't trying to manipulate emotions or convince anyone of anything. Instead, he created a space where curiosity, wonder, and respect could exist together. His passion for his craft is unmistakable, but it's his character that makes the show unforgettable. In a city known for spectacle, Kent reminded me that the most powerful performances come from authenticity. I left feeling more than entertained. I left genuinely moved. If you're looking for an experience that makes you think, feel, and reflect long after the show ends, this is it. I'll absolutely be back.

My best friend and I were in Vegas celebrating the fact that we both recently got engaged, and this was the perfect place for it. We had a reservation but arrived a little early and were seated immediately. When we mentioned that we were celebrating our engagements, they surprised us with complimentary shots, which were delicious and such a thoughtful way to start the night. My best friend ordered a mocktail that she is still talking about and claims was one of the best drinks she's ever had. I ordered the pink margarita and absolutely loved it. The presentation of everything was gorgeous and felt so intentional. For food, we each ordered the Grilled Steak Skewers with pistachio chimichurri, and of course I couldn't come to a Vanderpump restaurant without trying the iconic Goat Cheese Balls. They absolutely lived up to the hype! Everything was delicious and beautifully presented, and the quality matched the elevated experience from start to finish. The ambiance is what really takes this place to another level. It's glamorous, romantic, moody, and luxurious without feeling like a gimmicky reality TV tourist attraction. If you're a Vanderpump fan, this is an absolute must, but even if you've never watched a single episode, it's still an incredible cocktail and dining experience. We would come back in a heartbeat!
