I had a great experience at Palate in Downtown Las Vegas! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and inviting. The service really stood out--Bella, the bartender, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Alex was also fantastic, and together they made the experience even better with their outstanding hospitality. I highly recommend the short rib fried rice--you won't be disappointed! It was packed with flavor and definitely one of the highlights of the meal. If you're looking for a great place to stop by for happy hour with delicious food, excellent drinks, and exceptional service, Palate is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back! read more

Wound up here sporadically on First Friday and it was a perfect find for catching up with girlfriends. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the selection of food is minimal and I like more options just personal preference. All of the drinks we ordered were delicious, our waitress was amazing, the host was amazing. The vibe inside was very cute, without being overwhelming, I wish I took pictures. We started with the charcuterie board and I still can't get over the honeycomb or the bread, so so good! I ordered the pork and the only thing I didn't love were the potatoes but they weren't the star. We didn't get dessert because we were stuffed but when I go back the cheesecake flight has my name on it. If you are a picky eater check out the menu and pics before you go but if you enjoy trying new things I highly recommend. read more

Usually don't do this. Came here today with high expectations, left this establishment extremely disappointed. The table was not cleaned before we were seated, to be honest most of the tables weren't wiped down. This restaurant is going for a country kind of vibe, yet they can't stock the bar with bourbon or whiskey that would satisfy that crowd ( I asked for a bulleit and coke, didn't have that, asked for Jack Daniels, didn't have that, makers mark, didn't have that). Nobody in the restaurant had food brought out to them yet which I found very odd, no scent from the kitchen at all, very odd as well, menu is very small, im taking all of this in while trying to figure out what to order. Food isn't really anything to rave about and honestly there are other restaurants with better taste and better pricing. The only good thing about the experience is our server Cole, he has checked on my group multiple times to make sure we are doing fine. I'm not sure what exactly the vision/vibe is, but I won't be coming back to see it. VERY DISAPPOINTED. read more

I'm a sucker for a good martini and Palate has just that. My husband and I visited on a Thursday night during their 99 cent martini night. We had no idea the food menu had just changed a couple days prior, so I was excited to try it. The bartender was very friendly, personable, and interactive. We both ordered the bartender special for the martini which turned out to be similar to the rose. It was sweet and well balanced. For entrees, I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered the pan roast. The pan roast was flavorful and the perfect portion without getting tired of it. The salmon was seasoned perfectly, and was served over a bed of garlic rice. We thought the rice tasted plain and needed more of a garlic flavor and salt. There were a couple other items on the menu that we plan to come back and try. I'm looking forward to coming back to try some items on the happy hour menu as well. read more

New brunch/dinner spot in the art district in Las Vegas. We were able to easily make a reservation on OpenTable. The restaurant is inside a large white building, but the entrance is on Colorado Street. When you enter the restaurant, it's almost like you're entering Alice in Wonderland's mad tea party. There is eclectic furniture, large chandeliers, and trees inside. The drink menu is pretty large. They do have an entire page dedicated to mocktails. I tried the two gin mocktails and both were delicious. They also offer bottomless mimosas and they do mean it. It was actually pretty decent champagne that they used. To start we had the shrimp toast. It was not what I expected, but it was OK. For my meal, I had the banana French toast. It was tasty. My spouse had the steak and eggs. I wish I would've gotten that instead. It looked really good. The staff is five stars by themselves. They are very attentive and took the time to speak with us and offer suggestions. read more

This is a happy hour review only. Beautiful restaurant with very nice servers. They offered for us to sit at the lounge tables since the bar was full. The old fashion was good but not consistent. The food was fantastic. The red wine on happy hour was not very good at all. One sip was enough of that. We didn't complain and just left it undrank. Service was prompt, water refilled and plates cleared without being asked to do it. Unfortunately we cut the fried egg before we took the picture but the short rib fried rice was excellent. read more

Well, I got lucky. It was my friend's birthday so I suggested the group dine at Palate. I got to try the dinner menu. It was AMAZZZZINGGG! I ate my weight my biscuits. They were possibly the best biscuits I've ever had. Crusty on the top, moist and delicious on the inside. The Mac and cheeses were yummy. Scallops were cooked perfectly. The short rib was so tender. I can't say enough good things about the pork belly. You can't go wrong with anything pork belly at Palate. The pork shoulder was so flavorful. You could taste all of the warm spices and the cornbread bao buns?!!! Why didn't I think of that? I can't wait to go back! read more

Sat at the bar as we waited for our one friend to arrivefor our table. Ordered my drink from the happy hour menu. I think it was a blueberry margarita. It was delicious. I love fruity sweet drinks. Had a Caesar salad. It was delicious. we had the charcuterie board. and the porterhouse steak. everything was delicious. I have onion, allergies, and they catered to my allergies, which was wonderful. The servers were friendly talkative. Ourwaitress Marianne was wonderful! I will definitely be going back here again. I came here for Saturday brunch with a few girlfriends, and we had such a great time! The vibes were amazing from the moment we walked in. There was a live DJ playing R&B, which made the atmosphere fun without being too loud to enjoy conversation. The food was delicious, and everything came out surprisingly fast. The service was attentive, and we never felt like we were waiting long for anything. One fun surprise was that if you're seated near the bar area, you get a complimentary shot, which definitely added to the experience! If you're looking for a spot with good food, great music, and a lively brunch atmosphere, Palate is definitely worth checking out. I'll definitely be back! read more

Holy wow... great recommendation from Yelp. The attention to detail in this joint is stunning! From the first impression when we walked in to the quick walk by the bar on the way out, we were blown away. Great music (blues brothers vibe), loads of color and crystal, and I haven't even gotten to the food yet. The food... perfect brunch option. The poached eggs were silky and beautiful, the sauces were scrumptious, the chicken was juicy and flavorful... and the desserts were epic. I don't want to ruin the surprises for you, but you can't go wrong. Perfect portion sizes too. Top it off with friendly and personable service and our brunch at Palate was my favorite dining experience of the year so far! read more

WOW! We decided to get a bite to eat late Saturday afternoon in the Downtown Arts District, and wandered into Palate. In a sea of taverns and breweries, this was a total surprise, and a very pleasant one at that. This place is fit for royalty with the bold red and purple colors normally associated with the rich and famous. Even their center table under the luxurious chandelier is aptly named the Kings and Queens' Table. So much to see and appreciate: * Red and purple plush seating areas -- booths and tables * Center table for eight people under huge chandelier * Fully stocked bar and counter with bar stools * Supportive posts transformed into trees with twinkling lights in the branches * High end choices of dinnerware and stemware (check out the brands of the wine glasses) * Creative menu and delicious foods * Chandeliers everywhere, even in the restrooms * Waiting area with plush seating * Lot of art (owner's mother has incredible talent creating and curating) on the walls * Very attentive staff --- no lollygagging around. Everyone was hustling! We were hoping to have dinner, but dinner isn't served until 5 pm. To our delight, they have happy hour on Saturday! So we got a taste of their foods, and what we had was decadent and scrumptious. We will return to try the other foods which we are positive will be just as delicious if their happy hour menu is any indication. Needless to say --- what an incredibly impressive and wonderful experience that we want to repeat. And we'll bring friends! read more

If you're looking for a dining experience in Las Vegas that feels equal parts culinary adventure and art exhibit, Palate absolutely delivers. We kicked things off with a trio of fresh, vibrant appetizers that set the tone immediately--the oak leaf lettuce was crisp and refreshing, the queso was rich and indulgent, and the scallop "tiger style" was a standout with bold, bright flavors that woke up the palate. The entrées were just as impressive. The butterfish, delicately cooked to perfection in banana leaves, was tender, flavorful, and beautifully executed. The short ribs? Completely unforgettable--fall-apart tender and packed with deep, savory richness. Easily a "to die for" dish. Dessert was a showstopper. The hummingbird creation wasn't just visually stunning--it was a layered masterpiece of flavor. Between the cinnamon ice cream, cream cheese frosting, banana bread bites, and that delicate pineapple sugar nest, every bite felt intentional and indulgent. And just when we thought it couldn't get better, the gourmet cotton candy at the end added a playful, memorable touch. The overall vibe is art-inspired, energetic, and just plain fun--perfect for a night out that feels a little elevated but never stuffy. A special shoutout to Fiola for impeccable service that truly enhanced the experience. We'll absolutely be back! read more

Beautiful establishment, sheek decor beautiful color scheme and floral arrangement. We were seated immediately and came in between brunch and Happy hour. We chose to wait the 10 minutes and went with happy hour.. I had the Rose($9) cocktail and ordered fried rice($11). The drink 10/10 the rice had potential good in flavor but it came out warm, not hot fresh being that happy hour just began and had a separate menu. There was also a heavy presence of oil that you could taste and visually see on the plate, that I couldn't enjoy it. Service was good and atmosphere relaxed, definitely a must see. read more

My wife and I came here on a late Saturday afternoon. We were seated immediately and our drink orders were taken. I had my usual drink, a diet coke. They had the small crunch ice that I prefer! They offer a daily selection of biscuits and todays selection was a toasted pimento. Sounded interesting and we have never tried anything like it so we took a chance. We also ordered a charcuterie board selection that was titled the butcher block. It had prosciutto, duck pate, an array of different cheeses that were all very good, some soft and creamy and others harder and sharper. I apologize because I don't remember the names of the cheeses. Trust me, they are all very tasty. This also came with pickled carrots which were good too. This board comes with biscuits but we were able to get our original order of the toasted pimento in its place. We also ordered some sliders. The sliders came with fries and those were the best fries we have had in a long time. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Perfectly seasoned, we couldn't stop eating them. The sliders were delicious. It was juicy and flavorful. Three sliders come with each order. Now again I apologize for the lack of photos in this review. The food looked so good we dug right in without taking photos, realizing our mistake too late. We highly recommend this place and we will be back. read more

Love exploring the Art District of Vegas. So many great restaurants to try. We finally made for Sunday brunch at Palate. I can tell you it didn't disappoint. First of we made reservation and got a deal with inKind app to use. We paid our meal via the app and got reward back. Ok let's talk about the food. There is a pretty good selection on the menu. We decided to do family style and share our dishes- our waiter did offer if we like to increase the amount of sliders to cover all five us- decided to just order the dishes as is and we sliced it. We ordered oysters, biscuits, grits and gravy, longanisa sliders, and half bird. Love each dish. The chicken was moist and flavorful- it was accompanied by collard greens and amazing kimchi Mac and cheese. Biscuits is so good and came with flavored butter and jam. Longanisa sliders was juicy with accompanying season fries. We enjoyed the all you can drink mimosas. And our coffee was refilled by our attentive servers. Make sure to make room for dessert- we shared the deconstructed hummingbird and hot brownies with homemade made ube ice cream with coconut/pineapple sauce. Both dessert were perfect. We totally love the vibe- with live music- the singer was totally amazing - don't forget to tip him as well. Definitely coming back and will try dinner. Only thing in the art district is the street parking but pretty easy to find one. read more

The service and ambiance here was great which is why it earned 2 stars. This place is designed for the social media photo ops! The furniture colors pop and the grand table with throne chairs catches your attention. The server was quick to refill our drinks. The menu is a bit strange when it comes to ordering the mimosa or rose bottomless drinks. We were expecting the tour on the website but that's not what we got. The menu leaves a lot to be desired. The vegetarian options are pretty much nonexistent. I ordered the avocado toast minus the pork belly and asked for some cotija chews to be added. It was a single piece of the thinnest toast in the world for $19 and $3 up charge for the alleged cojita cheese was disgusting. I wanted to ask for another piece of toast because I couldn't believe my eyes. I have had cheez-it's thicker than that toast. The ratios of avocado and onion made no sense for the bread. I use cojita and it usually adds a lovely bit of salty goodness to the sandwich and this was flavorless. Not to mention it was chunkiest cojita I had ever seen. I had one of the pancakes that comes with 18 mini pancakes they were the size of a half-dollar and gross. The jelly they put on them was just weird. The fries were pretty tasty, twice fried and lightly salted. This place is probably great to have a drink and eat somewhere else. The menu isn't equipped to help with hangovers or make you full. When the food came all I could think of was why didn't I ask more questions or he explain the menu. read more

So so so cute inside. You're really kind of taken back by all the vibes but it somehow all fits so well. They had a DJ mixing Rihanna, while I sit on purple velvet chairs looking at a menu that serve longganisa. The menu itself is so interesting, and you think omg that's kind of funny but then you taste the food! Your eyes widen and your jaw kind of drops because WHY DIDNT ANYBODY THINK OF THIS BEFORE??? I was sooooo happy with this meal. I had never been to the arts district, it was a nice sun day away from the strip with just as amazing food if you were on the strip. We discovered Palate through Yelp while looking for a lunch spot on our drive into Las Vegas, and what an incredible find it turned out to be! My boyfriend enjoyed it, but I absolutely fell in love with this place from the moment we walked in. Everything about this restaurant feels thoughtfully curated. The décor is charming, whimsical, and unlike anything you'll find in the typical Vegas dining scene. The food menu is imaginative, and the cocktail menu is a work of art all on its own. Now, let's talk about the cocktails... because WOW. These were hands down some of the best cocktails I've ever had. I ordered the Tea for One and The Rose, while my boyfriend enjoyed the Banana Pancake and Smoking Section. The Tea for One completely stole my heart. I could seriously drink this all day long! It was light, refreshing, beautifully balanced, and so incredibly smooth that you couldn't taste the alcohol at all which is exactly how I love a well-crafted cocktail. The presentation was absolutely magical, making me feel like a princess enjoying afternoon tea... with a delicious grown-up twist. The Rose was equally stunning, arriving with a real rose as part of the presentation. It wasn't just beautiful, it was floral, refreshing, perfectly balanced, and every bit as enjoyable as it looked. My boyfriend couldn't stop raving about his cocktails either, especially the dramatic presentation of the Smoking Section. The food was every bit as impressive as the drinks. My boyfriend ordered the off-menu burger special, and I had the Palate Benedict. Neither dish was ordinary, and that's exactly what made them so memorable. The Palate Benedict was a creative spin on the classic Eggs Benedict, replacing the traditional English muffin with a crispy fried hash brown patty that added incredible texture and flavor. Every bite was delicious. Then came dessert... If you visit, save room for The Hummingbird. Trust me. It was honestly one of the most breathtaking desserts I've ever been served. It looked so gorgeous that I almost didn't want to disturb it. Almost. Thankfully I did, because it tasted just as incredible as it looked. It's easily one of the most creative and delicious desserts I've ever experienced. Just when we thought the experience couldn't get any better, our check arrived with fluffy pink cotton candy. What a fun, whimsical, and unexpected finishing touch! It's little details like this that make Palate feel truly special. To top it all off, owner Rudy stopped by our table to chat with us. He was warm, genuine, and incredibly welcoming. He even personally brought over my boyfriend's Smoking Section cocktail, adding another personal touch that made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. From the imaginative menu and unforgettable cocktails to the creative cuisine, stunning presentations, exceptional hospitality, and playful attention to detail, every aspect of our visit exceeded our expectations. Palate wasn't just one of the best meals we've had in Las Vegas, it was one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had anywhere. Without question, this restaurant has earned a permanent spot on our list, and it will be our first stop every time we're back in Vegas. read more

Quality/Quantity - Got lucky and they started a "Boards & Bottles" promotion today, Wednesday. So my wife insisted that we get this. Beef Tartare with a bottle of Finca Tempranillo to compliment it for only $25. What a great deal. We also ordered the following: Short Rib Fried Rice - Happy hour price and size. Sliders with Fries - Again, Happy hour prices and size. Overall all the food was good. And as light eaters, more than enough food for us. Oh, complimentary cotton candy with the check, thanks. Ambiance - Cool new place, see pictures. Table, booth, lounge, and bar seating available. Open kitchen. 3 unisex restrooms. Also thanks for the sinks outside of the bathrooms. Open 5 days a week, see website for specific hours. Closed Mondays & Tuesdays. Service - 6 stars, Zach, a day one employee was so professional and good! Took care of us from the minute we walked in to when we left. Also, we met the owner, who went straight to work as the expeditor. Price - $52 + tip; I would even say inexpensive for everything we got! Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since May of 2024. read more

Exactly the kind of place you hope to stumble on in Las Vegas. The interior strikes a great balance of lively and refined -- think vibrant colors, plush seating, crystal chandeliers, and walls adorned with local artwork you can actually buy. There's even an open kitchen and a cozy corner with a library of cookbooks to browse while you wait for your food. Service here is attentive and genuinely friendly, embracing that Southern-meets-Vegas hospitality vibe without any of the fake bits. The team made us feel like a welcomed guest. As for the food: from imaginative small plates like scallops "tiger style" with coconut leche de tigre to the show-stopping "Southern Hospitality" large-format fried chicken with sides, every bite felt thoughtfully crafted and full of personality. There's modern Americana with cultural twists on every corner of the menu, and I still can't stop thinking about the creative boards and wagyu. Great ambience, excellent service, and food that's fun, flavorful, and just quirky enough to make you smile. Highly recommend booking a reservation -- your taste buds will thank you. read more

This review is based on a first-time visit on 1/7/26. Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed (sans reservation) and taken to a seat. We loved the eclectic decor of the place... especially the bar seats and the giant chandelier in the middle of the restaurant. Like Lee D., we also lucked out on the Wednesday $25 Boards & Bottles deal, which was a platter of delicious duck-derived goodies PLUS a nice bottle of white (can't remember the specifics). I blown away by the amazing value. Following our waiter's recommendation, we also got the Biscuits of the Day which came with a delicious maple butter and jammy preserves. There was something special about those biscuits - I want to say they had a hint of zest or something - so good. The absolutely BEST dish of the night was the Miso Bronzed Pork Belly. Trust me, this is a must get. It was beautifully tender yet crispy on the edges and the accompaniments gave this dish the perfect balance of salty, sweet, and umami. I definitely plan to come back again - specifically on a Wednesday night. 10/10 delicious! read more

Today we're experiencing Palate in the Arts District. As a reminder, I don't get paid or comped from my reviews, so let's get into it. We entered into a posh, glam Christmas wonderland. This is definitely an Instagram type place. I ordered the Christmas time drink, which was adorable and served in a Charlie Brown style Christmas tree with a drink in the ornament. It was really, really good. We moved on to the homemade biscuits and seasonal jam. Now, I'm not a big biscuit person, but my husband is impossible to impress and said these were the best biscuits he's ever had. Now, this is unfortunately where we take a nose dive... I ordered a dozen oysters, and let me tell you, it was like I was drowning in the Pacific. It was so salty and really hard to get through. Without a doubt the worst oysters I've ever had. My husband got the Easy Like Sunday Morning platter, which looked good, but the potatoes were pretty dry, and it was very middle of the road. I will say the service was top-notch, and they even gave us some complementary cotton candy at the end, which was cute. They've only been open for a year, so hopefully they can make some improvements. I gave this one 2.5 out of five stars. read more

Wanted to try this spot out but it literally smelled like a sewer. Would not consider returning.

Right from the door, the wait staff were so lively and kind. They set the tone for the meal and it really helped that everyone was sociable and willing answer questions about the menu. They obviously love to work there and take care of their guests. The restaurant is elegant with quirky decorations and chill ambiance. It is also dog-friendly (they provided water bowls and a dog-friendly menu). I went with friends for a birthday brunch and what a fun experience we had! We drank all the drinks (bottomless mimosas) and ate all the food. The menu is expansive and inspired by American and Asian flavors--very interesting ingredient usage and fusion cuisine with a menu that changes periodically. I think the food execution is done well and emphasis on presentation without detracting from taste. I think food preparation takes a little longer than desired, especially if you are over hungry (so be aware of that); however the meal is very filling and plates are shareable. My water glass was consistently filled without asking, we were checked on frequently without being overbearing, and they always took the time to give recommendations regarding the menu as the meal continued. Overall, it was a great time. Let's eat! read more

I've really enjoyed my 2 visits to Palate. The staff is really attentive and very friendly. They have lots of recommendations and are the reason we knew to come back for $1 oysters. The ambiance it's very quirky. Interesting art and seating options. Feel a little random and fun. Also love the music that play (live and over the sound system. The food is good and different. The oysters are tasty and we definitely ordered a lot. Their special vinaigrette was good but it was too hard to get the onion out of the bottle with the liquid. Thr scallop carpaccio (don't remember what it was on the menu) gel similar to a ceviche. Very fresh and great flavor. We also ordered the salmon belly, which was good but for the price, I wouldn't get it again. The biscuits were also tasty. I haven't had many savory biscuits a these were really good. When we came before we got one of the charcuterie boards which had some good options. The board was served with the biscuits and while we like both separately, the flavor of the biscuits overpowered the other flavors on the board. The menu has lots of different options. I did have a tough time with were the pricing, Just a little high to me to really try some of the other options on the menu. We do want to try a few more things and we'll definitely go back for happy hour. read more

I had the short ribs and they were tasty and very tender. My wife had the scallops and grits. The grits originally came out cold, but the kitchen quickly remedied it. We both thought the scallops were very good, albeit a tad bit salty. Because of the grits issue, the restaurant comped us the peanut butter brownie sundae with kumquat ice cream. Really surprised at this place. I attended for a private event and was blow away by the food taste, choices, the bartenders and intimate type feel and decor. Everything was clean and upclass. It was just big enough to hold our group and small enough it felt intimate and we could rotate and meet and greet other people. They allowed for specialty drinks to be designed and made to celebrate our private events. I can't say more about the staff. They were friendly, they were quick, they were professional clearing off areas, recommending drink options, keeping the buffet area's in presentation mode after people came through it. They walked around offering specialty food's off platters. I had never tried Palate before and now I don't want to try any other place for private events! What a great find! read more

From the moment we walked in, this experience was nothing short of AMAZING. Every dish was a masterpiece--from the benne seed biscuits (don't even get me started on that honey sorghum butter ) to the shrimp & grits that were seasoned to perfection. The flavors, the presentation, the creativity... top tier across the board. The dirty rice risotto?! Unreal. And that brisket? Melt-in-your-mouth, packed with flavor, and paired perfectly with those bao buns. They really did their thing with this menu! But let's talk about the vibe--because it was EVERYTHING. The playlist was FIRE like every song had us in the mood, vibing, and just fully enjoying the night. It wasn't just dinner, it was a whole experience.
