Came here for Mother's Day and honestly had such a beautiful experience from start to finish. The ambiance immediately stood out the velvet red decor, dim lighting, and music created such a fun but still upscale vibe. It felt like the perfect mix of lounge and restaurant energy, making it great for both celebrations and date nights. The food was really good as well. We had the miso salmon, Hamachi fried rice tacos, Caesar salad, and shrimp, and everything came out fresh, flavorful, and well presented. The tacos were definitely one of my favorites and something I'd order again. I also appreciated their drink menu. They have a great variety of cocktails, but I especially loved that they offer non alcoholic drinks that still look and feel elevated instead of just being an afterthought. Overall, the service, atmosphere, and food made this a really enjoyable experience. You can tell a lot of thought went into the aesthetic and overall vibe of the place. We went here on a Thursday night with a group of family and friends. Love that parking was open and there were plenty of spots. We were warmly greeted and shown to our area. The decor and ambiance was chic and inviting, and it was more of a night time and intimate, (lounge) feel. The backbar looked stacked (will definitely need to grab a drink during a future visit). The menu looked good, but unfortunately it seemed like it was not up to date (ran out of the desserts were were hoping to order). We got the Fried Brussel Sprouts, Fried Jumbo Chicken Wings, Thai Citrus Hamachi, Charred Caesar Salad, Oxtail Fried Rice, Seared Salmon, Tsunami Burger, and Cucumber Salad. The food was phenomenal. The Brussel Sprouts flavorful with a hint of spice. The chicken wings were also nice and juicy and crispy, with a hint of spice. The charred salad was perfect and the cucumber salad was also quite delicious and tender. The burger and fries cooked appropriately. The hamachi was also nice and tender and juicy. The Oxtail fried rice was ok, I guess I expected a little more flavor. It just seemed like the service was extremely lacking. Like we got our dishes, but seemed to have to ask a bit for the food. Same with refills on water or soda, it was a bit of a wait. I understand that when it is busy (place was only 1/3 full on a Thursday night) it can be challenging to provide good and timely service. It seemed like the service was lagging and when we inquired about items, we were a nuisance to the staff. After inquiring about the desserts and finding out they were unavailable, we left after paying. If I were to be able to rate with half stars, this would've gotten a 3.5. We found this place on TikTok, and after seeing how beautiful it looked, we were really excited to try it. We were running a little late for our reservation, and I really appreciated that they were still able to accommodate us. When we arrived, the restaurant was absolutely beautiful, and we were excited to get settled in. The food was honestly amazing. We ordered a little bit of everything and shared: Big Bang Shrimp, chicken skewers, veggie fried rice, Bang Bang Cauliflower, teriyaki tacos, and chicken gyoza. We also had a lychee martini, which was delicious. Everything we tried was great, and I genuinely have no complaints about the food or drinks. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing and ultimately ruined the experience for us. It took a while for our server to come over after we were seated, and throughout the evening, we were rarely checked on. Our waters were left empty, and we wanted to order another round of drinks, but our server kept disappearing after taking our food order. One of the most frustrating parts of the evening was the fried rice. It was missing from our initial order, and when we let our server know, we were told it would be right out. We were already halfway through eating the rest of our food when we had to ask about it again. We were once again told it would be right out, but the rice didn't arrive until we had finished everything else. At that point, we were so frustrated that we were considering canceling the order altogether. We had also arranged to have a birthday shot for the birthday girl, but our server never came over to ask what kind of liquor we wanted, even though we had finished our food. We found her sitting with the host, and I let her know that I just wanted to close out. When I received the bill, I noticed that a 20% automatic gratuity had been added. As someone who works in the service industry, I completely understand the importance of tips and how much service matters. However, I was genuinely disappointed to see a 20% gratuity added after the level of service we received. I had no intention of arguing about it, so I paid and moved on, but it definitely left a bad impression. The website describes the restaurant as an elegant affair, and while the atmosphere and food were beautiful, the service did not reflect that experience. Growing up in Vegas and dining at many different restaurants, I know how much attentive and welcoming service can contribute to an evening out. It's genuinely disappointing because the food was so good, and we were really looking forward to enjoying this place. Unfortunately, the lack of attentiveness, the long wait for our food, and the overall attitude we experienced from our server overshadowed everything else. At the end of the night, my friends and I agreed that we wouldn't be coming back. Girlfriend and I came here as a walk in and the ambiance was nice. The host walked us to our booth and first impression we got was that the place was pretty slow yet the booth we were sat in was full of crumbs and the reserved sign was never taken off our table throughout the meal. We started off with their version of dynamite shrimp and it was delicious but they only give you several small pieces. Delicious but not worth the money for the portion size. Gf had the salmon which was really nice and again not the biggest portion but it tasted really good. I ordered the tsumami burger and that was such a letdown. My fries were so old and so stale they were literally crunchy and cold. I really think I'm under exaggerating when I say just how old and nasty those fries were. First & foremost id like to thank Derek for improving my experience & taking accountability. The first time I tried this place , the food , and service really missed the mark. However, I did return when the business was better prepared and it was a great experience overall. The Wagyu sliders , and teriyaki short ribs were my absolute favorite . The oxtail fried rice was about 7/10. The Brussel sprouts were phenomenal , teriyaki tacos were a little salty but creative, the chicken wings were fried well but lacked flavor ,& the cocktails were mid . Regina was our server and although she was spread thin she was still checking on us and taking our orders. I was disappointed to learn they only had vanilla ice cream for dessert. I would like to see a dessert menu with some variety. The playlist/music went perfect with the vibe of this place and I truly enjoyed the ambiance. Unorganized Mess I visited Saffron Lounge today and left feeling bamboozled. We arrived right at opening and were the first table of the evening. This place is aesthetically gorgeous from the waterfall to the decor and luxury both seating. I noticed the hostess was also serving tables and the bartender (red flag). Service was extremely slow. My fried chicken wings arrived after and extended wait time, while my vegetable fried rice took even longer. My friends short rib were excellent she said but her mashed potatoes were actually cold. It felt as though part of the plate had been prepared and left sitting while the rest of the meal was finished. She declined to share the feedback because she didn't want to wait even longer. The restaurant was also out of plenty menu items as well as an ingredient needed for one of their signature cocktails. I ordered the wings but they were heavily seasoned with what tasted like additional seasoning added after frying. I literally coughed after taking a bite and my friend coughed as well trying to eat one due to all the seasoning. The kimchi Brussels sprouts had potential but they were tough and overly salty. The biggest disappointment was the vegetable fried rice. It was overwhelmed with soy sauce to the point that it was difficult to eat. My friend tasted it and immediately noticed the difference between my rice and her oxtail fried rice. I eventually walked to the bar and asked for it to be removed from the bill. The restroom had toilet paper scattered across the floor the trash can was overflowing there was no soap available and the sink area needed attention. Like this was at opening which means that restroom was dirty from the night before. The lack of organization was very noticeable. Employees seemed to be pulled in multiple directions and at one point I had to leave my table and walk to the bar to get assistance. Even the cook brought out food and commented that he should not have been serving which made the staffing challenges even more obvious. I genuinely wanted to love this place but with a $146 boll for two people the experience did not match the price point. I understand that staffing issues happen but this place is a hot mess. Customers should not have to absorb the impact through slow service inconsistent food quality and cleanliness concerns. read more

My first visit to this lounge went well. The ambiance was very nice with an Ancient Asian Culture vibe. The food I ate was delicious which was the Tsunami Burger and Steak Frites. The server Tashell S. provided PHENOMENAL service throughout the entire visit. I was really excited to try this place. I came here on a date. We walked in and the place was empty , ok it was 2 tables and 1 person at the bar. The decor is dark, the lights were very low, it gives intimate. I did see a piano, so I'm assuming there is live, music, we just didn't come on that day. The server/bartender came over and sat us at one of the booths, gave us menus and told us she'd be back in a few minutes. She never asked if we'd been there before, she didn't go over the menu, she didn't tell us her favorite dish, nothing. She was nice and friendly tho, good energy and lots of smiles. Had my daughter not had a birthday, I would never have known about this enjoyable place. Location is right off of Decatur Blvd near the China Town neighborhood but the building does not stand out so I have never noticed it. When we first walked in there was no greeting but my daughter told me that is not unusual as she has dined here a couple of times with friends. While waiting to be seated, we noticed that there was a networking event going on. While kind of a pain to have to listen to someone tell their business story, we managed to get by and the event ended pretty quickly once we were seated. Apparently this place used to be all vegetarian and recently began adding meat dishes to their menu. All the dishes lean towards Asian cuisine which we all love. Lots of great choices and we ended up going with the Cucumber Salad, Short Rib Teriyaki over pureed potatoes, Yaki Street Noodles, Chicken Gyoza, and the Short Rib Shredded Tacos. My daughter had her own dishes all vegetarian. Everything was very tasty. Restaurant is a nice size including a small bar area. Lighting is dim to enhance the experience. Service was wonderful as the restaurant was not very busy and it was a week day night. Ambiance was so perfect. Visited Saffron Lounge with a group of friends to celebrate a friend's birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The host, a younger gentleman, wasn't very welcoming and lacked hospitality, which wasn't a great first impression. As for the food, it was hit or miss. A few dishes were excellent, while others were bland and lacked flavor. The lighting was very dark, which definitely gave the space a lounge vibe, but the overall atmosphere was mediocre until the DJ started playing around 9:00 p.m. Once the music began, the energy improved significantly. The DJ was phenomenal and easily the highlight of the night. Service was another major issue. Our meals came out separately over a long period of time, with the kitchen delivering food in staggered increments instead of serving the table together. It made it difficult to enjoy the meal as a group. The bar also had only one bartender working, so while some of us had our drinks and were ready to toast the birthday girl, others were still waiting for theirs. Overall, I wouldn't return. This place markets itself as a fine dining experience. The ambiance is amazing with its unique decor. It kind of reminds me of Tao on the strip. Asian inspired decor with some water and floral aspects. It's definitely a nice date spot. The seating was also very comfortable. The service was nice but nothing extraordinary. It also took awhile for the food to come out. The appetizers ordered came out first. Scallop 7/10: the first two pieces I ate had a fishy aftertaste but the rest of the dish was delish! Good balance of umami and citrus. Brussel sprouts 7/10: cripsy and light. However a bit salty. Also some pieces were overly burnt. But the flavor was not bad. Spicy tuna tacos 6.5/10: the fish wasn't fishy but I felt like the dish was lacking something to complete the flavor profile. The taco had a good crunch but felt a little dry? The main dishes came out shortly after. Short rib 9/10: this was probably the star of the show. It broke apart nicely, no knife needed! The flavor was also so good. I believe it was a teriyaki sauce. If cams with mash potato on the bottom which I enjoyed. Creamy and smooth! This was prob the best dish of the night! Oxtail fried rice 7.5/10: the rice was almost like sushi rice grain which I enjoy. It was a very light dish. My partner felt like it wasn't enough seasoning but I thot was not bad. It came with some pieces of oxtail but they weren't as tender as I hoped for it to be. Yaki street noodles 3/10: this dish was a miss for us. The texture of the noodles felt like they were reheated in the microwave. A bit stale feeling? And the flavors were not there for me. It was lacking in complexity. I also paid an extra maybe $5 for shrimp, and it only came with about 3 pieces :(. sadly we didn't finish the dish and didn't care to take it to go either. Steak and frites upgraded $5 more for truffle fries 4/10: (fries in the dish was a 10/10 lol) the fries were super addicting. I like how it was thin and crispy. Truffle flavor was so light I could barely taste it. So I wouldn't recommend upgrading. The steak was cooked to a medium but it was really chewy... however the peppercorn sauce it came with was good. Sadly the chewiness of the beef kinda ruined the dish for me. Lastly I got the ube crème bulee 6/10: I think it was too dense for me. I like it when the crème bulee isn't too heavy and not too sweet. I also didn't taste much of the ube flavor. The dessert itself is sweet only bc of the sugar on top. But the rest of it is not too sweet. Overall the food was okay, but for a fine dining experience it is subpar. Resturant had good vibes. Service was okay. I did come during happy hour which meant some dishes were 50% off. The dishes with a star next to it means they are part of the happy hour. Maybe I'll give it another go in the far future. read more

I have been dying to dine at this restaurant since I've moved to Vegas!! So glad my husband and I went for our wedding anniversary!! We didn't have a reservation which was okay because we arrived when they opened and they took us in! Originally this place was an all vegan restaurant but it's now turned into a fusion restaurant which is actually very good!! I was absolutely shocked at the size of the restaurant. From the outside I wasn't expecting much as it's next to a 7-11 but oohhh do not let that fool you on the location. There is limited parking in the front but there is more towards the back of the restaurant. The inside of this space is ridiculous beautiful!! It feels like I'm dining at a restaurant on the strip!! Insane when we walked in. I honestly felt under dressed lol. My husband and I got so much food and it was all absolutely delicious. Saffron Lounge, a tale with a troubled identity. The billboards, heavy advertisement and polished internet image would lead one to believe that Saffron Lounge was on their "A" game and tearing up the dining game in Vegas. Last night we made reservations and were greeted into a beautiful establishment. A highly refined interior decor with breathtaking esthetics, lighting, colors and vibe that eluded excitement that this was the place. The magnificent custom lighting structure is unbelievable. The soothing water feature in the center look more like a movie set than a dining establishment. The interior design really shined. We sat in a red velvet booth and were excited to be here. There were less than 20 dinners and only two staff, each being utilized as hostess, bartender, server and and buser. A tall gentleman, appeared to be owner or chef was flittering around the restaurant with an influencer, event planner and table of 4 young ladies celebrating a birthday and apparently knew him. We ordered the cucumber salad with ume vinegarette and plum salt. This was hands down the best choice of the night with crisp edges, great taste and lightly salted. Pita with yuzu hummus, chili oil and crudite was beautifully displayed. The hummus was bland, lacked flavor and tasted like it came from the deli counter at a local supermarket. The big bang shrimp was tempura prepared with gochujang aoili, yuza and chives. Over battered and tasted like frozen, this was a total flop. Our final selection was the Yaki street rice noodles with chili oil, blistered veggies and citrus finish. We added chicken to this dish. Barely warm noodles, over sauced, awful taste and the sliced pre cooked chicken was room temperature and dry. It was the worst noodle dish I've ever had and only ate two bites. Saffron Lounge is a disaster, the chef or owner who was bouncing around needs to take charge here and train the staff. Focus needs to be directed on the terrible product they are serving. First of all, serving utensils need to be delivered with each dish, common etiquette in dining. A knife is needed with room temp dry chicken strips as the fork was not adequate to cut. We waited 15 minutes after our table was cleared to get our check. This is truly the "tale of 2 images", a beautiful facility with really bad food and service. If Saffron is to survive, changes need to be implemented ASAP, management needs to wake up. read more

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at Saffron Lounge. The service was horrible from the start. We weren't even offered water, and when I finally asked for some, the glass was dirty, and so was the container the waitress brought the water in. Definitely not what you expect when dining out! The food was just as disappointing, and to make matters worse, people behind the bar were doing shots while we were there. Maybe we just happened to visit on the wrong day, but the whole experience felt unprofessional and far from what we expected. Perhaps this place is better suited as a lounge rather than a sit down dining experience. The surrounding area also didn't feel very welcoming, with people sleeping outside near the building, which added to our discomfort. Between the poor service, lack of cleanliness, disappointing food, and atmosphere, I can't recommend this place for dining. Definitely not an experience I would want to repeat. read more

The restaurant is beautiful inside with a nice ambience if you're looking for something for date night. Jasmine greeted us and sat our table of three. She was warm, friendly and honest. She also waited on all the tables (more ppl came in after us) and we never felt neglected. We ordered bang-bang shrimp, veggie gozya, veggie fried rice, oxtail fried rice and yaki street noodle, crème ube dessert was delicious as well. I went to this restaurant for my friend's birthday dinner and was actually really excited to try it, especially since I knew the space had previously been a vegan restaurant and had recently revamped into something new. Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed from the start. Our server barely acknowledged our table. We didn't even receive our drinks until our food arrived, and at one point I had to ask another employee to find our server because she hadn't come back to check on us. What really caught me off guard was the $25 charge to bring out a "Happy Birthday" sign. I had no idea there was an additional charge for this, and for $25 I honestly expected it to at least include a dessert or something more than just bringing out a sign. The food itself was very underwhelming. I bit into something extremely hard in my fried rice and genuinely felt like I could have broken a tooth. The restaurant is under new management with a new menu and the food is insane! The restaurant is well-decorated and HUGE! We came here for a girls night and it definitely didn't disappoint. We truly ordered most of the menu because we just wanted to try a little bit of everything lol. Some highlights: - the lychee cocktail: so sweet and yummy! You even get a little presentation where they light it on fire. -bang bang shrimp: the batter is light and crispy and the sauce is so good! - beef tartare: BOMB. This is my first time coming in after Saffron changed management and menu-- and I will say that I will now be coming back. Same ambience, but now I feel like the food matches the atmosphere. Although previously known as vegan restaurant (nothing wrong with that), Saffron now has a new AND improved menu. For starters/appetizers I'd recommend trying the Beef Tartare, Hokkaido Scallop Tiradito or the Hamachi Thai Citrus. For entrees, loved the Chilean Sea Bass or Steak Frites. Not sure how we're able to fit in dessert in our already full bellies, but the Gingerbread Bread Pudding was chefs kiss. I think the worst part of the experience for me was how the walls emitted the small of acetone from the beauty supply store next door which really irritated our nostrils and even caused my brother a headache. They have a new menu and the Chef is amazing!! There was four in our group including one vegan. We started off with the fried brussel sprouts which is always a fav and the avocado crispy rice. The crispy rice was amazing!! Wish we had ordered two!! We ate it so fast I didn't even get a picture of it lol. Two of us had the 5 hour braised short rib which just melted in your mouth, no knife. The fries with the steak frites were so crispy and delicious. After we wrapped up our dinner we got the pleasure of meeting the Chef!! He blessed us with some great conversation and gave us the opportunity to try a few of the new items on the menu. Order the fried chicken!!! You can get it two ways- appetizer with honey sauce or entree with gravy and rice. You can not go wrong with either!!! But you have to get the fried chicken!! Beautiful in the side, definitely does the outside justice bc I want expecting character, vibrancy, upscale vibes inside. I had already ate earlier but wanted to support my friend for her birthday. There were only 4 other couples/ parties inside so it was nice and quiet but it was also at 9:45. I ordered a glittery drink with the babe Barbie in it and it didn't disappoint! The server was good and somewhat attentive for our large party size. I ended up ordering some wings ache paid $18 for 5 humongous wings. Didn't like the size but they were flavorful and fresh! This restaurant is gorgeous--such a great spot for a date, event, or even a business meeting. Service was quick and elevated. My friends and I came here to catch up over some tasty shareable plates. The menu is Asian fusion, and they've got plenty of main dishes too. We started with the crispy fried Brussels, crispy rice, and Bang Bang shrimp. The shrimp was sweet, crunchy, and super flavorful! We also tried a vegan tofu dish--even though none of us are vegan, it ended up being one of our favorites. So much flavor! Then we moved on to the short rib mini tacos with crispy wonton shells and the beef tartare with truffle oil. Everything was seriously delicious. But I came here on a reservation with an added note that I was there to celebrate my birthday, and it was never once brought up. The restaurant itself is visually appealing and the ambiance is great. We went on a Monday at 6:45 so that may explain some of the issues we had. There was a lack of staff. Our server was also the bartender and host. This caused slower service, especially being seated, due to there only being one employee in the front of the house. We witnessed a few couples arrive and leave due to not being seated in a timely manner. We ordered a few alcoholic cocktails and they were decent. Just good enough to justify the price. The main issue we had was with the food. There were 2 people in my party and we were seated next to a party of 3. We noticed our appetizer portions were smaller compared to theirs and there's nothing to justify it other than group size. Ex: We ordered sliders and received 2 whereas they ordered sliders and received 3. We ordered tuna tacos and received 3 whereas they ordered tuna tacos and received 4. They were clearly not ordering additional orders or it would've been double. After looking through some pictures on Yelp you can clearly see different portion sizes throughout. We felt as if it's due to group size and them potentially trying to save here and there. Overall the restaurant had a great vibe for a date night, but we truly felt as though the pricing wasn't worth what was received. We've been to nicer establishments with better food and drinks for significantly less. Our server/bartender/host was great though and none of this is a reflection on her. read more

I made dinner reservations at Saffron Lounge to celebrate my fiancé's birthday, and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. When we arrived, we used the restroom before being seated. After we sat down, it took quite a while before our waitress even brought us water. When she finally returned to take our order, I asked about a drink I had seen on TikTok and requested that we each have one. She walked away, came back a few minutes later, and told us she "didn't feel comfortable serving us." There was no explanation, and we were left completely confused about what she meant. At that point, I told my fiancé we should leave and celebrate his birthday somewhere else. I originally found this lounge on TikTok and was really looking forward to trying it, but it was a huge disappointment. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this place. read more

I thought the food was absolutely amazing! The ambiance and the decor was top notch. It's one of those places that you would not expect it to be what it is from the outside until you get in. Additionally the service was great and could not be any better. The only confusing part is it used to be a different owner and it's still listed in some search engines as a vegetarian location. Saffron has a pleasant atmosphere and the menu sounds exciting, but the overall experience didn't fully land for me. A couple of dishes were enjoyable, though others felt a bit muted in flavor for the price. The service was friendly, just not very consistent, which made the meal feel slower than expected. It wasn't a terrible visit by any means, but it also didn't leave me eager to return. With a few improvements, it could be great. Tried the hamachi, the lamb chop trio and the yaki noodles. Soooo surprised about this hidden gem in a little strip mall. They were welcoming and super friendly. The vibe was amazing with lots of different seating arrangements, including some small sofas in a lounge area. The food was delicious! Chef Roman Allen really knows what he's doing. The drinks, and food are excellent. The burger sliders were my favorite. I'd like to return soon to try the beef tartare. Shrimp fried rice was tasty, along with the pot stickers too. The Ube dessert is new and delicious. Can't wait to bring my friends to this elegant gem of a restaurant. We had such a wonderful experience at Saffron! We ordered the tartare, the skirt steak stack, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were so well balanced, and the presentation was beautiful. The space itself is stunning. It was moody, elegant, and perfect for a dinner. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the night, and the entire staff made us feel so welcome. My dad tends to prefer food that's not salty, and while we thought the spicy noodles were fine, the (what I believe was) the owner noticed he hadn't finished the dish and generously refunded us for it. That kind of thoughtfulness and attention to guests really stood out. We ended the night with the oolong panna cotta, which was a highlight--it was light, creamy, and had a lovely subtle tea flavor. Firstly, our server Erin took amazing care of our table and knew how to keep the vibe going. She had great recommendations on the plates and food and even the wine so ask the staff and they will provide great recommendations! The food were nice helpings. We didn't get an entree, mostly the shareables and the charred brussel sprouts is very highly recommended. The drinks were also delicious! The cocktails were fun and the wines were mood enhancers, all recommended by Erin so again I give props to the service.
