Came here on a whim and it was such a great decision!! Their brunch options were so creative. We got the steak and eggs, bone marrow gravy and biscuits, and the traditional Benedict. Everything was amazing. But special shout out to the fried potatoes- they were sooo crispy and seasoned to perfection. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Love the decor; even the restrooms had gorgeous tiling. Will definitely be back.
I was looking for an early lunch place and found this gem! They open for brunch at 10am. My server recommended the prime rib sandwich. It was phenomenal! With the braised onions and au jus dip. I'll definitely be back The staff was extremely friendly and proud of the offerings on the menu. I could tell everyone there really enjoyed working there. A top notch environment, easy parking and great menu options. I couldn't ask for more! Chefs kiss!
Middle Child is a very cute restaurant and is well appointed for its price point. We saw some old industrial age decor here which was very cool! We were greeted immediately and sat at the bar and all was pleasant. Starting with the drinks, very good and yes you can screw up a martini but everything was fine there. Food options were interesting and we settled on two appetizers, and two mains. As far as the appetizers, that's where we thought the train was going to come off the rails. The bone marrow was fine but room temperature which can leave it as a meh fat chew. The chilled crab salad was chilled, but that was it, zero flavor and not good at all. It wasn't in the area of a truck stop crab salad triangle sandwich (if that existed) but a hard no. The mains were redemption here. The duck pasta was excellent, great flavor and not too much salt. The branzino was also very good with a crispy skin which saved the day! All in all, decent place that's known for its prime rib with a good vibe, great drinks, horror story crab salad, and a tight parking lot. Still a winner as it hit in more areas than it missed.
From greeting us with a wonderful sincere welcome and seating us to a server who could not have been more professional and efficient to the meal and drinks being served- highly recommend! Ambiance classy , yet casual- tasteful! The meals we each had were delicious! I had the Traditional Benny and it was tasty, presented beautifully. The frozen Irish coffee was perfect in taste- wanted more but meal filled me up! Highly recommend for food as well! Come and see for yourself- you will enjoy!
My friend and I wanted to meet up and catch up so I booked a dinner reservation a Middle Child at 5:45pm. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by an upbeat hostess. We arrived super early and able to be seated right away. We sat on the back booth so we can have an overview look of the restaurant. The ambiance was quaint, light and chic. William our server of the evening was super attentive and product knowledge with the food and drinks on the menu was superb. We decided to throw down and split on food. For starters we were served bread that looks like a cake with sea salt on top. Cocktails we tried the Charlie Chaplin and Missionary Downfall. Drinks were delicious and refreshing. You can taste the love and craft that went into making the drinks. Our starters we ordered the jumbo blue crab cakes with citrus remoulade on the side. There rendition of the crab cake was shredded and light and no crab chunks. But the best was the Octopus carpaccio. Highly recommend. For our entrees we split the Prim rib (middle child cut) and Pomodora Rigatoni and Burrata. For our sides we did grilled asparagus and truffle fries. For the Grand finale we shared the cheesecake! So freshly homemade with love! We will comeback for brunch! Overall, a great place to have prime rib and be casual at the same time.
Came in for a birthday dinner at 6pm with a reservation. We were seated quickly. I think there were 2 other tables besides us, but it slowly filled up as we dined. Everything we ate was delicious! We purposely chose this place for the happy hour prime rib specials, but the truffle fries ended up being my favorite thing we ordered. If you're a truffle girlie like me, I'd definitely recommend you get an order of it. For $98 for the family cut prime rib, we definitely could have left full with just that and maybe 2 sides for fun between the 2 of us. I don't know if I'd get the family cut again; it was just a bit too thick for me. Overall, great service and food. We'd definitely come back again!
Just came here, first time in Vegas. I was seated right away and greeted right away. The entire staff is beyond friendly, our lovely server Paola is very lovely and even gave us recommendations on what to do while we are here. Our water glass was never half empty which I appreciated. The downside is honestly the food, there is nothing vegan or even vegetarian so I ordered sides to make something to fill me up and I appreciated that they let me customize that. I got bread, dry arugula, avocado and fries and it still came to almost 30$ American. I'm sure that's a normal price here in Vegas, I just suggest getting an actual vegan option :) I will be back for the service alone Everyone is very friendly so 4/5
Middle Child - What's His/Her Name Again? We naturally had to check out the middle sibling. Great location -- close to the Strip and airport -- and the space is sleek, modern, and spacious. Brunch, though? A bit of a letdown. The menu was slim, and everything we tried -- chicken & waffles, corned beef hash, fish & chips -- came out overcooked. Promising vibes, but the food missed the mark. Maybe he/she's still going through a phase.
The place is beautiful inside!! The service was great, they all had me giggling. My friends and I try a new place every week.. The hits... the bone marrow, the prime rib, and the tartare. The escargot just didn't hit the way I had hoped. The creamed spinach was also missing that oomph. The crispy rice had great flavor but after two bites it just tasted like crunchy salt and I like salt! The crab cake was similar as they just fell flat. One flavor throughout. Either way, we really enjoyed the meal and we'll be back but will probably venture off to different items.
I was really excited to come here on a recent trip to Vegas. This is from the same group that has Herbs & Rye but this is a markedly different vibe- very light, bright, and welcoming in an unassuming strip mall. Service was phenomenal and helpful. The portions were huge. We ventured out and tried the octopus appetizer which was fantastic and a generous portion. The crispy rice was very tasty (and actually had crispy rice) and the French Dip did not disappoint either. One thing that did stand out to me though was everything was SUPER salty. I don't tend to be overly sensitive to this either but the salt definitely was a detractor from all the dishes. Overall, great experience and glad we checked it out.
I proposed Middle Child for our family Mother's Day dinner based on the Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed! We arrived for our 5pm reservation right as the restaurant re-opened for dinner and were seated immediately. The restaurant has a very calming ambiance with lots of plants and good music that wasn't too loud. Our server Demy was lovely - knowledgeable about the menu, funny and friendly, and able to make some great recommendations. We started with a wedge, the tartare and the bone marrow. We also received bread for the table with whipped butter. The bread was delicious - soft and warm and topped with flaky salt - the perfect house bread. I didn't try the tartare out the wedge but both were well-received by others. The bone marrow was good (my first time), but the bacon and fig jam served with it was overpowering. I also didn't necessarily appreciate the char on the toast served with it. Onto the entrees: Seafood Risotto (special) - loaded with seafood, flavorful and delicious. Filet - good, perhaps a touch over the medium rare requested. King cut Prime Rib - absolutely huge and seasoned well. Roasted chicken - good (it was chicken at the end of the day); served with a rich mushroom sauce. Butternut Squash Agnolotti - absolutely fantastic, a MUST ORDER if it is on the menu. Rich and sweet, please please please get it. Sides: Creamed corn - not worth it. Under-seasoned and would barely consider it "creamed" corn. Macaroni and cheese - a solid mac and cheese. I believe it's mac and cheese with pork belly but I think it's a bit of false advertising seeing as it's topped with bacon (tomato-tomahto). The drinkers at the table enjoyed their drinks (among them the frozen Irish coffee and Charlie Chaplin). We opted to skip dessert but the options were there. Overall, a really great meal at Middle Child and we will definitely be returning for more.
Huge portions! My boyfriend and I saw prime rib as their specialty so we wanted to check it out. We came during the happy hour time so the prime rib cuts were reasonably priced. We both got the Middle Child cut, which was Huge but we finished them! The outside dark crust tasted so good! I never get au jus because I think it hides the cuts flavor. But theirs had a rosemary taste that complimented it wonderfully! It was even good to dip the dinner rolls into! We also each got a side but could've shared one. We both love dessert, so even though we were full, we shared the bananas foster dessert. It was huge too! Definitely a great spot to go to if you are hungry and like prime rib! We walked to the strip from there, it was about a 25 minute walk but we needed it after all the food we ate.
These 5 stars go out to Mica and Mandy for the greatest birthday experience I could ever ask for, was my dish a little unsatisfying yes but there hospitality on the situation was so amazing. Also this place is absolutely adorable aesthetically through and through. Did I experience some hiccups yes but honestly I'm not gunna nitpick. I'm just gonna enjoy the smiles they gave me and the warmness they made me feel.

It was my friend's birthday so we wanted to try out a new place. Off to yelp I went and came across Middle Child and knew it was one we had to try! Started out with the Fennel Market Salad. Ricotta, vinaigrette, oranges and greens who knew that mixture would be so perfect Very light and refreshing. Next up we had mussels , I really wanted to try the oysters but she wanted the mussels so of course birthday girl won and we were not disappointed. They were amazing and the broth was perfect with the little toast and the table brioche. We shared the prime rib, baked potato and mushrooms. Literally everything melted in your mouth. It was all spectacular. Did we need dessert? No. Did we order dessert? Of course. Who can turn down a Banana Foster Honey Toast???? Now that was amazing. 100% save room for dessert. Service was perfect. Great suggestions on drinks, apps and food. Table cleared between courses, drinks stayed full. 100% recommended So many other great items on the menu to choose from I need to go back. read more

5 stars because no part of my experience here made it feel any lower than that. Restaurant was beautiful, service was incredible, and quality of food was absolutely nothing to complain about. We ordered the burrata, steak tartare, and lamb tagliatelle (shared everything between 2 people), and everything tasted fresh and bright. All ingredients were so complimentary to one another. Drinks were incredible as well. I recommend the carajillo! Thank you, Middle Child, for such amazing and attentive service! read more
Thursday night guys dinner, party of 5 and we were excited to check Middle Child out. This vibrant cocktail bar and eatery, brought to life by the folks behind Herbs & Rye and Cleaver, is another win for the Vegas dining scene. I had high expectations from their previous restos and they delivered beyond my wildest expectations! The ambiance is good times: bright, airy, with cool blue tones and sleek marble tables that ooze sophistication and feel inviting. The open kitchen adds a cool vibe as you watch the team craft dishes with precision. There's a bar to the side if you're just stopping in for cocktails. Bread Mac n cheese Crunchy Rice Mushrooms - my favorite side with a prime rib Prime Rib - Perfect Medium Rare Bone Marrow - great app to get it going. The service was on point. Our server came to us with great suggestions and checked on us frequently. I Middle Child's vibe as the "peacekeeper" and "happy medium" of the Infantry Group family (as they describe on their website) is spot-on. It bridges the moody elegance of Herbs & Rye and the bold energy of Cleaver with a bright, approachable charm. Whether you're here for brunch, a business lunch, or just to soak in the upscale yet cozy atmosphere, Middle Child delivers. I love the ambiance the minute I stepped in this restaurant. Its bright with light hues interior almost expresses its menu - BRUNCH! I especially love the open kitchen - ambiance of which resembles my own island in the kitchen where I spend my first hour every morning. Our orders: OCTOPUS CARPACCIO - very good BLT - very good CHESAPEAKE BENNY - crab meat is almost like a patty thick PROSCIUTTO & MORTADELLA - love the bread SPANISH LONGANIZA RIGATONI - sauce has a "gritty" texture not quite smooth & creamy The only thing I wish they can do is substitute fries for salad as I'd prefer a healthier option. read more
Finally came here. I have high expectations because of Cleaver and Herb and Rye and I would say they did a pretty good job on the concept of their brunch menu. We ordered this octopus carpaccio with papaya salad, french toast is one big thick brioche bread with fresh fruits and corned beef hash omg there were good! We also ordered side of eggs and bacon. The only thing I personally did not like was the burned smell and taste of the bread that came with the corned beef hash maybe some people like it but I didn't. The ambiance is open contemporary beige and brown decor. They have a private room and open kitchen where you can see them prepared your food. Parking I think it will be fine they have a lot of space. Shout out to Demi for taking care of us! We will be back to try other stuff on the menu read more

All the food was solid and yummy! The location is in a random strip mall with lots of parking, but the inside is very cute/chic and has all the vibes of modern new-American places. It was a little strange that they asked me for my name and phone number even though there wasn't a wait and we were seated instantly... The food: - French toast - decadent, delicious, fluffy - Beef Tartare - loved the parm on top. Perfectly salty - Steak Frites - also yummy but nothing stand out, would maybe pass next time given the price point - Crab Cake - YUM. Large lumps of crab -maracuya drink - sooo good! They kindly customized my drink to have half the amount of coconut which was perfect! read more
Exceeded my expectations for an upscale brunch spot. Prices and portions were surprisingly reasonable relative to the concept. I personally went for the Soft Shell Crab sandwich. The fries-to-sandwich ratio was a bit ridiculous, but at least the fries were shoestring style and seasoned well. The portion of soft shell crab in the sandwich was solid. My party agreed that the Octopus Carpaccio was particularly notable, both aesthetically and from a taste perspective. Would recommend this to share. Papardelle was also impressive. Pasta was al dente and quality was on par with some of my favorite Italian spots in town. It also came with a very generous amount of mushrooms. The Chicken & Waffles were above replacement level but nothing too distinguishable from other places. Although the exterior is unassuming, the interior carries high Instagram potential as they did an excellent job with the art deco decor. Service was excellent. read more

Eating brunch with my middle child at middle child! Found this place and love it. Not your normal brunchy place but it was a good weekend and I wanted to treat him out. He had the French toast and I had the crab cake Benedict so dang good! I will have to come back for dinner run. Love the decor chic and cool. The service fast friendly and so helpful. My partner and I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and were fully expecting to wait through the brunch rush-- not so! We had the option of getting seated immediately at the bar, which we happily obliged. Our bartender was delightful, just an absolute angel. Sadly didn't get her name but appreciated that she took great care of us~~ UNI SPAGHETTI: The egg sauce is divine. Omg could eat a plate of this with just the egg sauce. We split this in half and ate up every last drop. Only two pieces of uni, unlike other Yelp pics tho-- wish there were more. CHICKEN & WAFFLE: Of course I order the chicken & waffle, it's my go-to comfort food. Super tender chicken + fluffy waffles = my happy place. Not too oily nor too sweet. The chili sauce adds a lively kick. Love the airy, light design and green accents. The art deco details are elegant and tastefully done. We enjoyed a peaceful afternoon here. read more
I've been wanting to try Middle Child for months and my schedule finally allowed me to visit during the hours they're open. My group shared the escargot, salt beef & hash, steak frites, and uni spaghetti. We loved the escargot (the pesto is delish!) and the steak frites, especially the fries as they were the perfect thinness. The cocktails are also quite strong and have good flavors. The uni spaghetti didn't have much uni, or salt. We ended up using the salt beef & hash to give the spaghetti some flavor. The dining room is nicely decorated but with how close the tables are to each other, it can get pretty loud and difficult to communicate within a table. Other than that, we had a great experience and would like to return when it's a bit less busy. read more
Great spot to swing by if you haven't yet. Wait wasn't too long when we arrived and the server was great. He explained the menu and gave us his recommendations. To start we had the crab cake that was really good. The egg sandwich is a must try. The thick cut bacon made it extra good, and they aren't stingy with it either. And the French toast was a perfect end to the meal. Fluffy, perfectly toasted with sweet honey on top and the whipped crème was perfect. Awesome spot, definitely recommend it read more

OMG--this place was amazing! Perfect spot for a cozy date night without breaking the bank. Highly recommend going during happy hour (5-8:30 PM) when they offer discounted prices on all cuts of prime rib, plus $8 house red and white wines and well drinks. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was chic but relaxed, and service was top-notch. Another plus--plenty of parking and they accept reservations, which made planning so easy. A total gem in Vegas. I'll definitely be back! read more
Sunday brunch - I really wanted to be blown away by this place as walking into a beautifully designed modern restaurant, I thought the food would have matched. We started with the bread basket, it wasn't as expected. Normally it consists of bread , small pastries such as croissant , muffins, etc served with jam and butter , their version is the same base pastry but shaped differently hence they al tasted the same . My main dish was pretty good , I had the crispy chorizo fried rice , my friends had the lobster Benedict ( which was overcooked hence chewy so it was returned ) and biscuit bone marrow gravy ( the first biscuit was too hard so it was returned but replaced eitj a much better one ) - it was tasty ! Wow I really enjoyed Middle Child! The ambience and overall experience was amazing from start to finish. We ordered cocktails and everything was delicious, my favorite was the iced coffee. It was the perfect balance between strong and sweet Service was great! The staff was so attentive and friendly. As for the food, all the appetizers we had were incredible. I would come here and seriously order only appys and be perfectly happy. We all agreed our main entrees were alright, but the appetizers were the real star of the show read more
During this summer I joined some friends for Sunday brunch. I love that this restaurant is the "middle child" to Cleaver and Herbs and Rye. Upon walking in the decor is very bright and lots of natural light throughout the restaurant. I felt like I had stepped back into the 1970's with the mid century decor. We made a reservation and when we arrived, we were promptly seated. It was really loud inside at first but over time as tables thinned out it became more quiet and easy to speak to each other. Our server quickly arrived to talk with us about the menu and any questions we might have had. We decided to share our dishes with each other and this what we selected. We tried the French Toast with brioche, berry compote, shaved foie, truffle honey, whipped caramel creme fraiche. Next was Heirloom Tomato and Burrata with basil, grilled onions, crostinis, and salsa verde. Then came the Beef Tartare (one of my foodie friends orders this everywhere we go). We finished with the Chorizo Bacon Crispy Rice with bacon, spanish chorizo, deep-fried rice, carrots, green onions, macha chili oil, and a sunny egg. I really enjoyed trying all the dishes but the French Toast stole the show for me. In addition they offer some interesting and striking cocktails. What was strange was there was no prices listed next to each cocktail??? We decided to not order any drinks at this time. Had a reservation for lunch here and I really enjoyed it. The place is tastefully decorated. I was sad to find out they removed the soft shelled crab sandwich from the menu. But we ended up ordering four dishes to share and they were all delicious. They have large pieces of lobster for the eggs benedict and I really like the way they did the fries, so crispy. The beef carpaccio was light and yummy. The crab cake was heavy so it's best to share. My boyfriend really liked the chorizo crispy rice. read more
A great brunch spot located on Paradise Rd East of the strip . This location used to be Satay Thai. I love how the restaurant looks like. Welll lit and a separate dining room available for larger parties. When we first walked in, I didn't feel like the hostess was friendly at all. No smiles. However, as time passed, we asked if she could take a photo of us is when she smiled and was friendly. Food: Beef Tartare Bone Marrow Biscuits & Gravy Chicken & Waffle Chorizo Bacon Crispy Rice Washed down with a few cocktails. I had the Maracuya and my friends had the Espresso Martini (had to ask for another drink) and Tamarind Pimm's Cup. The bone marrow with biscuits was interesting combination but it worked. I enjoyed the beef tartare buy it also lacked salt. A bit bland so we added salt. The chicken & waffles with bacon were good. The dark meat is preferred because the white meat was extremely hard and overcooked. Hmm, maybe brine the chicken so it's tender. The highlight for me was the crispy rice. It was delicious. I past Middle Child daily on my way to UNLV. I'd assumed it was a dinner restaurant when they're actually more breakfast/brunch. I stopped in before class and received such amazing service. I arrived at 3p and almost didn't go since I called ahead and was told they closed at 4 and seated the last guest at 3:30p. I didn't want to be a pain but the person I spoke with insisted I come in. I was seated straight away at the bar. The restaurant was quiet. I didn't get a good look around but it seemed well but well lit and nicely decorated. I believe there was music playing but it wasn't overbearing at all. The bartender (whom I later found was the co-owner) was such good company. He poured me up a glass of ginger beer to accompany my steak frite dish (which was phenomenal). Sadly I no longer have a photo of it but I'm definitely going to order it again! I'd definitely dine here many times again. It was such a chill experience. read more
Finally had the chance to check out Middle Child. The ambiance and art deco decor is absolutely beautifully done. The servers are professional and top notch as well. I had the delicious Middle Child Burger. It's a very generous portion and the meat patty is super juicy. We also had the Prosciutto and Burrata to start which was a delicious starter to share. Latte was also delicious. Much cheaper than the strip and it's not too far from it. read more

Makes sense to me why they're out of business when I came there with my service animal a few months back the server was really rude. Told them I'd never be back again and look now who's laughing the doors are closed. There's no way they are remodeling the kitchen. that's a lie. I peaked through the window. There's no remodeling going on this place is done and out of business. Maybe next will be Herbs and Rye cause they got a bad attitude there too. I'm not sure what's wrong with your employees but they have horrible attitude and they're mean to customers. read more

So, I've been in debate with the rating I would give Middle Child and here's the reason why. I became privy of Middle Child and the official opening because I am a huge fan of Herb & Rye. However, they are entirely different in the sense of their flavoring with the food. My best friend ordered the hash and potatoes which had a piece of hair right on top and I ordered the steak frites, which did not come cooked to order. So, can you imagine both of our orders going back? Once we received the order, the hash and potatoes were not flavorful at all and the steak tasted like the cheapest piece of steak you could buy. So, I ended up ordering the French toast and I was disappointed yet again. I am not sure if I expected flavors from Herb & Rye but it was definitely not a place I personally would like to try again. I did not post the steak out of respect but I ordered the steak medium and it was nearly well done. I will commend them for their customer service and the ambiance was great. However, I seriously think they may need to revisit the selection of food and the flavors. Not only that but if it will be a place for brunch, there should at least be a mimosa somewhere on the menu...even if it is not bottomless. read more

The menu includes something for everyone, from those who want a light and healthy meal to those who are looking for something more decadent. I would recommend the following dishes, chefs burger. Never had a black hamburger bun. The soft shell crab was also pretty tasty. Their sandwiches or burger comes with either chips or fries. Both chips and fries were a lot to finish. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is upscale and casual. This place is great to hang out with friends. There were six in our party. They can accommodate big groups. This place I heard just opened about 5 months ago. We did a reservation for Sunday brunch. It was pretty packed. I do recommend reserving your table. read more

Amazing experience here. Service is amazing - They made our wedding anniversary really special. The ambiance was really nice and inviting. Kind of like a contemporary art deco style with great music. For the food... We're constantly on the hunt for a good prime rib - This place has one of the best and at a great price as well. We were surprised to know that they had a prime rib happy hour even on the weekends which we took full advantage of. The sides were incredible as well. That bone marrow gravy is a must-get and definitely ask for extra au jus. Definitely grab a cocktail too. Really unique, diverse menu with a little backstory on each drink. They also surprised us at the end with one of the best lava cakes we've ever had. This place is going to be really hard to beat. read more
Had a great brunch at Middle Child! We were seated right away and offered bottled water. After reviewing the menu we decided to start with the broiled oysters. For an entree I had the surf and turf Benedict and subbed out the chips for fries. I thoroughly enjoyed everything. The broiled oysters were deliciously garlicky and the surf and turf was great. It had a bit too much hollandaise sauce for my liking, but good all the same. They also gave a huge portion of fries. I definitely feel like I got my money's worth! read more
Was able to check out the newest restaurant from the same group that does Herbs & Rye and Cleaver. This restaurant is a brunch concept and it's located in the same shopping center as Cleaver. The restaurant had the perfect brunch vibes with a bright and beautiful design. The service was great and our server was super helpful in making great selections! We got the following: Octopus Carpaccio (3/5) this dish was served with a papaya salad that I found to be really bland so I felt like the overall dish was lacking Charbroiled Oysters (5/5) this was my first time trying charbroiled oysters because I've never understood the draw of cooked oysters. But if this is how they always taste I am a HUGE fan. It was perfectly buttery and garlic and the back end still had that oyster flavor that k was looking for Uni Spaghetti (3/5) this dish was okay but felt like it was a little one dimensional. Very rich but not salty enough Bone Marrow Biscuits & Gravy (5/5) this was incredible and possibly one of the best dishes I have ever had!! Must try!! Chef's Burger (4/5) I expected the burger to be a bit sweet with the onion jam but it wasn't too sweet. I just wish the patty had slightly less char flavor.
