We got seated really quickly and the service was great our waiter was very attentive and had a lot of great recommendations.The food was delicious and i was very impressed with the taquitos. I love when we get free chips and salsa it's always such a hit. We ordered a pitcher of margs and it was so worth it.
Went here for brunch with 3 companions and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. We got the brunch which is unlimited small plates. They also have unlimited drink options but we chose single cocktails- they were delicious. We were seated outside by the pool; it was a bit loud and the service just a tiny bit slow, but we felt like everything was perfect. We tried many small plates- all creative and delicious! Chilequiles, French toast, smoked salmon toasts , Eggs Benedict with beef , chia pudding, tamales, guacamole. We had a few different margaritas which were all delicious. They brought me a shot of pineapple infused tequila as we were celebrating my birthday! Would go back here in a heartbeat!
We came for the weekend brunch at Border Grill and did the unlimited small plates with bottomless mimosas.... definitely the way to go. The portions come out small, but that's kind of the point. It lets you try a bunch of different dishes without getting stuck with something you don't love. Honestly, everything we had was really good.... flavorful, fresh, and came out pretty quickly. The bottomless mimosas were solid and consistently refilled (no long waits, which matters). Service overall was friendly and attentive without being over the top, which made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. If you're expecting big, heavy plates, this might not be your thing, but if you're into trying a variety of dishes and making it more of an experience, it's a great brunch spot on the Strip.
EAT BEFORE YOU GET HERE! Not even kidding the portion sizes are so small seriously like over priced tapas the food is good not feeling. We sat inside the restaurant not on the patio or whatever the decor seems like an afterthought in a hurry to put something in this space. Our server was cool food didn't take long to get to the table but I don't imagine a lot goes into making expensive "tapas". Would I eat here absolutely not I'm not a large mammal either but plates $30+ a pop for whatever they want to call I'll pass.
Decent spot to visit at Mandalay Bay during the daytime since many of the restaurants don't open til later in the evening. The restaurant is tucked away from the main casino floor closer to the food court and convention halls. The service was slower and food was almost delivered to the wrong table multiple times. The waffle fries had good seasoning but were too hard. The burger was good but the juices left the buns soggy. The fish tacos were excellent though.
I like this place more than I thought I would. Service was quick and friendly. The food was extraordinarily well prepared absolutely no issue with quality for the money. They could've been slightly larger portions, but it was fine. The margaritas could've been a tad better as could be Trace Leche cake. The caramel flan was pretty good all at all. I would say these guys exceeded my expectations.
Went to Border Grill today for a work lunch. It was a great spot! I truly loved the chips, guac and salsa at the table. I ordered the carne asada tacos. They were good! I like extra spice so I asked for salsa on the side. The service was great! I loved the music and the inside of the restaurant is very spacious.
Best AYCE brunch on the Strip. This is a buffet that is brought to you by- you order 3-4 small plates at a time and they are quickly delivered to your table. We loved that the meal wasn't broken up by jumping up and down for more food and also loved that we knew someone hadn't sneezed on the tongs as can happen in buffets. The food itself was great - a nice variety of savory and sweet. We especially loved the horchata french toast, the chicken and churro waffles (they have a kick!) and the campechana. They were also willing to remove meat from dishes as my spouse doesn't eat beef or pork. We didn't do the bottomless mimosas - but did have an espresso martini which was delicious.
Highly recommended to make a reservation if you want to eat here. We arrived at 1ish in the afternoon, two adults with a baby in a stroller...took a little for the young lady to find a spot for us. She eventually found a table that could accommodate us on the patio. Mind you, today is very windy and they also have the heaters above on, so it's a strange feeling sitting out here. It's very loud, but we're in Vegas so that's to be expected. We sat here for a while waiting for our server. We never got any water or chips like the other tables. Very disappointing that it took about 15 minutes until our server came to our table and asked if she could get us a drink. I ordered a white peach lemonade mocktail and it was a great refresher. We also asked for water and it took a good 5 minutes to get those. Also got the Guac of the Month, which was basically their typical guac with bacon and garlic, very good. It's pleasing to the eye as well, topped with kale (she can eat that) HA! We ordered tacos, spicy shrimp, fish, and carne asada. The plate comes with three tacos, beans and rice; you may either get all 3 of the same, or mix and match as we did for a few bucks more. Welp, the plate arrived and I was not impressed. Let's see if it taste great....and disappointed. I do. It recommend the fish taco, maybe it was an off day, but it was too fishy, like sardines. We did not enjoy that. The carne asada was okay, the meat was soft but there was no seasoning that made the meat flavorful. All you could taste was salsa topping on it. As for the spicy shrimp taco, that was great. Flavorful and tasty; a bit oily, but it was the best tasting taco out of all three that we ordered. I tried it, I most likely won't return. Try it and see if you have a better experience. Also, the server only came back once at the end of our meal.

It's become a bit of a game day tradition for us to come to Border Grill for brunch before home Raiders games at nearby Allegiant Stadium. It's an easy walk and this is a terrific place to get full bellies and pregame! On weekends, Border Grill features a bottomless small plates brunch for around 50 bucks. It's an incredible deal with a good variety of dishes so you can sample lots of different things from the menu. Even better, you can add on all-you-can-drink Mimosas, Micheladas, or Bloody Marys for less than $40! To me, this is where the value lies. I do wish the brunch menu had more options, but note that you can also order off a limited lunch menu. Here's my pro tip #1: you can still get the bottomless cocktails deal if you order an entree! Score! I usually get the chicken quesadilla with black beans and rice and bottomless Mimosas. It's pricey but worth it (especially because the drinks keep flowing). The mimosas come with three different juices (usually orange, cranberry, and then a juice of the day). My favorite is when they have the blood orange or strawberry. The bubbles are in the form of a bottle of Italian prosecco that's a decent quality. It's not fancy, but it'll do. There is a two hour limit on the bottomless booze. Pro tip #2: ask for a to-go cup when you're ready to leave. You can pour in a mimosa and take it with you as you walk over to the stadium! The vibe is lively but relaxed, with indoor and outdoor seating. There are some patio tables overlook the pool area, which adds a fun, sunny touch if the weather is nice. The restaurant is casual, colorful, and energetic without being chaotic. The indoor dining area lacks character, but I do enjoy the small bar here. It's a pretty big space that occupies two stories. My favorite place to sit is on the covered outdoor deck area during the cooler fall months. I've also dined here for dinner, but the brunch is where the bargain is. Locals, they've recently discontinued the locals discount but they do have a new frequent diner program so make sure you ask to sign up. The points and freebies rack up quickly. You can also utilize and earn points across a variety of restaurants that are also run by Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger. Border Grill has good, chef-driven food, offers bottomless drinks, and provides a fun, festive atmosphere. If you're in Vegas on a Raiders game day, the brunch is a no-brainer for pregame eats.
I finally made it to the Border Grill at the Mandalay Bay. There were no appropriate signs to find this place, until the end. There's all this hype about the famous LA chefs who now have outposts over here. I came here for something different and started with the trio of salsas. That was good. The seafood enchilada seemed from a frozen bag then baked. More like taquitos. Tough and dry on the outside. Only nice optics. Yes, looks can be deceptive. The inside components were supposed to have crab, lobster and shrimp. Zero texture. Seafood flavor only. More of a mash. Did not see any of the components, except a small cut up piece of shrimp or two. It was also excessively salty, giving me further affirmation that what came to my table, was probably from a package. I asked Justin the server, whether it was freshly prepared ...he said it was prepared in the morning and then kept. All the facts did not add up. No fresh taste. The side of rice and black beans (does not come with it. You have to order it separately, for a cost) were okay. Anyone can make them. The way I see it, an experience at any restaurant needs to be holistic. The unfriendly hostess Michelle, sent me on two runarounds. One to a restroom really far away, when there was one close by from the inside of the restaurant. And then sent me in the opposite direction for a non existent Uber pick up location. The busboy Jose, was very rude and laughed at me, when I tried to change tables to avoid the sunlight glare (I take a photosensitive medication). Stephanie, the manager, on the other hand, was understanding and empathetic. Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger are highly regarded, established and lauded Chefs, that have a well deserved reputation. How come this did not translate to Las Vegas. The whole experience was nothing much to talk about.

Several work colleagues, my wife, and I dined here on a Sunday evening at 7pm. We were seated outside and despite the temps being in the 80s, we were comfortable. Our server was very attentive and helpful and quickly hooked us up with drinks. They had Atomic Duck IPA on draft which was popular for several of us. We started with chips and guacamole which was a hit. At the server's recommendation, several of us got Vampiro Shrimp tacos. My wife went with the Tuna Tiradito. We also got refried beans and rice sides for the table. The tacos were yummy. My wife enjoyed the lightness of her dish and flavors. It was also beautifully presented. Came at 12:15, right at lunchtime, and this place was PACKED! It was probably because there was a volleyball tournament currently going on (Red Rock Rave), and the players needed somewhere to have lunch nearby. Luckily, I did not need to wait too long for seating because Border Grill has two floors! Loved how we had a lot of choose from the menu, and there were many gluten free choices. I got the short rib enchiladas. Compared to the plates of quesadillas and salads from Border Grill (which come is big portions), the short rib enchiladas seemed little. However though, the Enchiladas were actually really filling. Three enchiladas were able to make me soo full! Moral of the story: never doubt enchiladas, LOL. The enchiladas were really soft, and packed with short rib. Nearly the entire plate is filled with sauce, so each bite will never be dry. I have a friend who ordered the quesadillas.. she told me that it was very heavy. It comes in three slices, and I've heard from her that one slice is filling enough to get you full, and two slices if you're really hungry. The service was also great; the staff members are really nice and they make you feel right at home. Overall, Border Grill has given be a great impression, and I would be happy to come back and try other dishes from their menu! read more

This is an oasis located in Mandalay Bay. Food is absolutely delicious. Menu has innovative twists on Mexican classics. Starter guacamole was fresh and bright. Chips were freshly made. I had the pork dish and it was simply sublime. The cinnamon on the dish was perfection. Did the tequila flight- which was tasty. Phenomenal service- shout out to Michael. Go in here and order a strawberry basil margarita and some dobladitas. I added carnitas to mine and it was heavenly. Everyone at the bar always provides excellent service Eve. I will say the service was quick and timely for a busy restaurant. The one thing that was off was that we did have to ask for silverware once our food arrived. Overall the food was pretty good, the guac was good, but oddly served on a plate rather than in a bowl... I did really enjoy the seafood enchiladas they had so much flavor with the lobster cream sauce. read more
Service is great here, fun spot for the family to dine at Mandalay Bay. We did the lunch option during brunch, and all our entrees were great. The quesadilla was huge, and the tacos were well portioned. Definitely ask for extra salsa. read more
Food is good. They'll start you off with freshly cooked chips with guacamole & 3 different dipping sauces. We had to order a second guac, the first one is complimentary but the second one you'll have to pay. Had Pollo Relleno and tried the short rib enchilada. Then we had the churro sams which & capirotada which is a bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Both good but i would go back for capirotada! The place is nice, can hold up a big party which is us all the time. Our server is good, i didnt get his name but he did a good job serving us. read more
We dined her for a birthday dinner. I feel like we've been missing out on this restaurant in Mandalay Bay. Located just past the Michelob Ultra arena, is this hidden gem. The longer we sat there, the more we realized we were just the only ones who didn't know about this spot. It was packed lol. Food - they had a variety of food options that spanned from salads, salsas, different guacamoles, more traditional Mexican starters, tacos, and main dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of vegan options. I had the Portobello Mushroom Mulitas. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked, the sauce had flavor and depth. I enjoyed they had swiss chard as the greens they incorporated in the dish as well. I paired that with a side of Caramelized Plantains that they were able to make vegan. They were perfectly cooked, sweet plantains. 5/5 stars for all the food . Drinks- I had the Paradise Punch and swapped out the Hornitos Blanco with Bacardi Rum. That along with the passionfruit, fresh lime, and blood orange was refreshing. So good! 5/5 stars . Service - everyone was amazing and we received our food right away. A nice touch was bringing out a dessert for my friend's birthday. Ambiance - it was beautiful art throughout the space and warm colors. It extended to the plates. My only note is I was expecting the price to be lower for the food. The overall feel of the restaurant gave a more relaxed, comfort spot. The pricing gives more fine dining so that was a disconnect for me. Overall, we enjoyed our time. read more
We were hungry roaming around Mandalay Bay when we chanced upon this restaurant. The ambiance of the place and the presentation of each dish were five-star. Kudos to the chef as the flavors were truly deliciously strong and indelible - it worked for most of the dishes we had, but unfortunately a bit too much on one. We loved the Aji-Deviled Eggs--it's spicy kick really blended and we almost wanted to get more. The Yucatan Pork was very flavorful, the meat very tender - big serving and I loved it. I especially loved the plantains. The Carne Asada was delicious as well, full-flavored and my daughter was content. The Wagyu Barbacoa Tacos, however, did not have as much great feedback as the others. My husband and son-in-law said the contrasting flavors did not really blend. They hardly finished their servings. Another thing I loved about the place was how professional the staff were --busboys, water server, food attendants. This restaurant is top tier and truly recommendable. read more
Brunch Buffet at Border Grill - Absolutely Worth It! We came for the brunch buffet and decided to try everything--and I mean everything! Every dish came out beautifully plated, full of color, and even more full of flavor. From the start, the service was warm and attentive, and the food kept surprising us with how creative and delicious it was. The chilaquiles were perfectly sauced with just the right kick, the tamales were soft and savory with crema and salsa on top, and the shredded beef with eggs was pure comfort food. The seafood options were a hit too--the shrimp tostada was so fresh and flavorful, and that smoked salmon bite with red onion and capers was a perfect little flavor bomb. And then the desserts... the mini waffle with fried chicken, the churro bites with strawberry sauce, and that eggs benedict with the rich sauce (I'm still dreaming about that one ) -- every bite was amazing. Everything tasted freshly made, with high-quality ingredients and fun plating. You can really tell the chefs care about both presentation and flavor. The menu is FULL of gluten free choices! Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was casual and friendly (and not too loud!). The guacamole appetizer was delicious, and the Plantain Empenadas were superb. The main course was absolutely amazing. The Red Snapper dish was enormous; certainly enough for two people. The Ribeye was juicy, tasty, tender, and large! Highly recommend making reservations. Definitely bookmarking this place for future visits. read more
The food was genuinely great and plated nicely when it finally arrived, but the experience getting there was rough. We waited around 1.5 hours for our meals. Twice we were told the food was "being plated," only for nothing to come out for another 30+ minutes after being told. It would've been better to just be honest instead of setting false expectations. We were told there was a glitch in the system and that some small appetizers would be brought out while we waited--but those never came either. To their credit, they comped the entire meal, which we really appreciated and is the main reason this isn't a lower rating. I respect that they tried to make it right, but the communication and wait time were hard to overlook. read more

This place was very convenient since I was staying at Mandalay Bay and wanted Mexican food. I was able to make dinner reservations easily and we got seated right away. Service was good. I had asked the server what was good and she informed me the chicken poblano enchiladas had been on the menu for 15+ years! I figured they have to be good- and they did not disappoint. We got the salsa trio as an appetizer and they were good; my husband was obsessed with the lime / cilantro one and I thought the other two were pretty similar but worth getting again! We went to this restaurant twice and both times the servers were super nice. Pretty attentive but we did have to flag them down a few times. The first day we did lunch and it was okay. Nothing crazy special except a lot of food was spicy. The second day my family did the brunch while I did a quesadilla. Quesadilla was quite greasy and hard to eat but my family loved the brunch. This was my birthday dinner and I felt surely taken care of by the entire staff! From the warm welcome and happy birthday from the hostess to our amazing waitress who made sure to get me a birthday treat- it was a lovely time at this great restaurant! I loved the salsa sampler- all of them were quite tasty! The chips were great too! I had the taco trio and the taco and the avacado sauce were delicious! I usually don't like avacados so that's saying a lot. I think my favorite part of this restaurant was the fantastic customer service and the great view we ended up getting looking right over the pool and a stellar shot of Mandalay Bay in the background!
