This was my first time at The Four Seasons Hotel. I met up with friends for brunch to celebrate a birthday. It is free valet parking if you're going to brunch. You need to make a reservation if you're not a guest at the hotel; Otherwise, the wait may be long for a seat at brunch. We set out on the patio this beautiful day. The food was delicious (They even had chicken sausage. The omelettes station had a choice of protein, which included shrimp. Our server, Lauren, catered to us the whole time. She even made the plates for my friend that was having difficulty walking. They even brought out a dessert with a candle for her birthday and wrote happy birthday on the plate. A peaceful morning at Four Season, and decided to stop by Veranda for some good breakfast before we checked out. It wasn't too busy at 10:00 am, a couple guests here and there. We got the Bay omelet, Thick-Cut Brioche French Toast, and Steak + eggs. The Bay omelet came out piping hot, and came with slices of avocado on top of the egg. In my opinion, the omelet was a bit on the blander side. There was a lot of crab and bacon though! Though from photos this dish may look very small or barely enough, trust me, one omelet is very filling, especially with protein inside too. So, never mind the size of this dish, cause it's totally enough for a good breakfast. The Thick-Cut Brioche French Toast was my favorite! The french toast was so good and melty, and paired perfectly with the tart strawberry compote. The compote was so good! I love the huge strawberry chunks. The syrup on the side isn't much needed, cause the strawberry compote is enough to sweeten the french toast. I didn't even use the syrup at all, hahah! Did I mention the presentation!? So adorbs, perfect for the gram! The steak + eggs were okay. The steak was way too well done though. The hash, peppers, and eggs were mediocre.. just tasting ordinary. We waited a long time: around 25-30 minutes for our food, which was unexpected since there weren't a lot of people. Before I left, I forgot my camera at the table. When I realized I was too late; I was already up at the hotel room. Luckily, when I went down to try to find it, the staff already has it safely kept in their front desk, which was a relief. And, they were even able to find which guest left it at the table, so it was like they were expecting me! In addition, when I approached the front desk, they even remembered me, and asked me if it was my camera. Immaculate customer service. Plenty of space for walk-in on a Wednesday around 12:15pm. There is an indoor (mostly empty) and outdoor area (more customers, not too packed). The outdoor area is nice, mostly in shade at lunch, near the pool. Two (non-alcoholic) drinks, 2 entrees cost about $114 total. Pricey, while the food was mostly decent. * Latte $11 - 2 stars. Foam was pretty pathetic, consistency of sea foam, too airy. * Berry Blast Smoothie $16 - 4 stars. * Sin City Burger $32 - 3.5 stars. Incredibly oily and dense. The caramelized onions and bacon were nice. The sidewinder fries were a bit too big. * Harvest bowl $25 - 4 stars. Love the new look, miss the old brunch. The Veranda recently remodeled and the new look is amazing. With this change, they completely changed their weekend brunch buffet set up. It seems to have most of the same offerings but also seems smaller. The old brunch had two types of bacon, the new brunch has one. The old brunch had mini bagels (which makes sense at buffet), the new brunch only has regular bagels. And overall, the bread/pastry items were reduced significantly. I almost thought they got rid of the mini donut station, which would have been a tragedy, but it was outside on the patio. Someone said they almost did away with it but so many people asked about it, they brought it back. The price also went up, which is disappointing given they also reduced the offerings. I have so many wonderful memories of brunch with friends over the years at the Veranda lunch. Unfortunately we had a pretty poor experience here. We had brunch here on a Friday, and it wasn't too busy. We were seated outside and there were many empty tables around. First, the service was terrible. We had to flag down a waiter every time we needed something- to order, for water refills, when they forgot to bring part of the dish, to pay, etc. Our assigned waiter never came around, so we kept having to flag others to help us. And every part of the meal was slow. Next, they asked specifically if we wanted toast with our order and we said yes, then they proceeded to not bring it until we realized after almost finishing our meal. Finally, the food was just ok. I wouldn't come back here given all the options in Vegas that are way better. Disappointing since this is located in such a nice hotel. read more

I enjoyed a good late breakfast here at the end of November. Compliments to the staff dealing with a water pipe break in the outdoor seating area that spilled into some of the restaurant inside as well. Staff stayed relatively calm and addressed the issue and put their heads down and stayed on task tending to the remaining seated customers. My breakfast was delicious. My husband and I came here on our last day of vacation and it was amazing! I enjoyed the crab Benedict, while he had the mushroom omelette. Both meals were delicious! The Veranda has been recently renovated and brings a cool California modern chic vibe. It opens two weeks ago and offers an opulent brunch. My farmer egg white frittata was melting in my mouth with its center of coat cheese on a bed of baby arugula. The crabmeat omelette was equally well prepared. They offer bottomless mimosa for $44 if you drink more than two mimosas I would suggest getting the bottomless because one glass of mimosas is like $21 Most of us selected the brunch which is about $57, however you can order off of a menu. The brunch selection is very limited. They had the basic brunch dishes but if you're looking for a big buffet, it's not here. they did have lump crab on the omelette station, which was a plus and that was good. The smoked salmon was delicious! Their dessert selection was not the best. Several of my family members love the Chia pudding . I would have loved a waffle station. The Veranda is located inside Mandalay Bay / Four Seasons. Since we stayed at the Four Seasons, it was a super convenient location for us with it just being on the first floor. I recommend sitting outside on their patio, as the vibes were impeccable and the scenery was beautiful! It was giving lux Cancun with the palm tree and pool setting background. I ordered the corn beef hash, iced latte, and an immunity shot while my husband got the steak and eggs with a side of avocado. I'm usually a pretty big fan of corned beef hash in general and this one was exquisite. It came with 2 poached eggs and some shoestring-like fries that were very crispy and paired extremely well with the corned beef. The iced latte was also surprisingly really good, which I honestly wasn't expecting. My husband also enjoyed his steak and eggs; he ordered his steak medium rare and said it could have been a bit more rare, but said that the steak overall was pretty tender so it was fine. The only reason I'm knocking down a star would have to be the latency. If you come here, do expect to be chilling here for awhile, waiting for your food to come out. For us it wasn't much of a problem since we had a lot of time to spare and weren't too hungry. The vibes and atmosphere also make it easy to do so! read more

The Veranda is an eloquent high priced breakfast-brunch-lunch type of restaurant located in the Four Seasons that is connected to Mandalay Bay. We all expect not cheap in The Four Seasons. I ordered a plain iced tea and my server commented, "Don't you want a flavored tea?".....I thought that was weird and about 15 minutes latter he serves me a $10. iced tea. We tried the crispy lemongrass cauliflower ($20.). This was the highlight of what we tried. The cauliflower was generous in size and was breaded and fried to perfection. I tried a piece with the sweet chili sauce and it taste like that duck sauce you get with Chinese Take Out......The sauce cancels out the lemongrass infusion. The cauliflower taste better without the sauce. Maybe something like a citrus soy type of sauce would compliment the cauliflower better? For my lunch I tried the blue fin tuna nicoise salad ($37. that is hard to see on the menu because it's printed tiny and very light). The tuna and vegetables were fresh tasting and the egg was boiled correctly. The only flavoring on the salad was a thick sweet bland tomato squirts on the top of the tuna. The rest of the salad had ZERO flavoring. It was just wet. I gave my husband a green bean to try. He said, "It taste like a plain boiled green bean." This was kinda disappointing. I had a much better blue fin tuna Niçoise salad that was really amazing and delicious from a restaurant in the Venetian and was only almost 1/2 the price. My husband was slightly disappointed with the diablo flat bread ($25.). The bread was kinda strange. It was like a cross between a very flat pita bread but also was hard and crisp like a cracker. He also said that it would have been tastier if the sauce was brushed all over instead of only being brushed on the ends. This restaurant wasn't my original destination. I found out that The Boarder Grill and BBQ Mexicana Close for an early Christmas Vacation and this information wasn't on the Mandalay Bay website. There are only a couple of lunch choices in Mandalay Bay so we walked over to The Four Seasons. Service was mostly good and the atmosphere is inviting but the lunch food should be priced more fairly and also could use improvement. read more

I came here with a group of girl friends for the Nutcracker Afternoon Tea. This is currently available every Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 until the end of the year. Best place to park is valet at the Four Seasons. If you dine here at the Veranda, your ticket will be validated. It has been a long time since I've been to this restaurant. I remember it being very good. The set up for the afternoon tea was so cute! I love the nutcracker themed decor on the table. We each received a pot of tea of our choice and a 3-tiered assortment of snacks. The top tier included gingerbread scones and other variety of scones. Middle tier includes a variety of sandwiches, and the bottom tier includes desserts. The gingerbread scones were my favorite. The sandwiches were also delightful. I thought the desserts were just okay. Price is $85 per person, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Nevada Ballet Theater. I visited Veranda on a weekday lunch with a group of 5 coworkers to celebrate my bosses' birthday. We were quickly greeted and sat to our reserved table when we arrived. Our server had amazing hospitality and strived to make sure we were taken care of during our visit. Although, the owner of our company (who visits this place often) had a slight issue with the server over how one of his drinks came out. But nonetheless, they were pretty efficient and friendly overall. Once our food came out, we were very impressed at the quality and flavors! It was so yummy & well done. The octopus was so tender! Our servers were excellent and we spent around 90 mins to finish up. We didn't feel rushed. The food at the buffet was mediocre though. The dining room is bright and relaxing, and the patio overlooking the pool is exactly the kind of quiet Vegas morning vibe that's hard to find. I ordered the Breakfast Bay Omelet and it was the star of the meal. The eggs were fluffy, the seafood filling tasted fresh, and everything was seasoned well without being too heavy or salty. The sides (toast and potatoes) were also nicely done and came out hot, not an afterthought on the plate. Service was professional and unhurried, with staff checking in just enough to keep coffee and water topped off. Prices are definitely on the higher side, but between the quality of the food and the peaceful atmosphere, it felt worth it for a "treat yourself" breakfast. Came here for a group dinner. Service was excellent, but the food was okay. I had an artichoke salad, risotto, and surf-and-turf (filet was large, paired with 3 shrimp). My favorite item from my dinner was a veggie risotto with a fried zucchini blossom. I also came here for a weekend brunch buffet. There were a lot of options, such as quiche, frittata, omelet bar, avocado toast, lox, donut station, french toast, shrimp cocktail, etc. After the tax and tip, it was about ~$70-$75 per person. I was dining alone and generally ignored by the staff, especially being placed in the back corner. My server rarely came to check on me and I had to flag down any other staff person who was willing to look my way. Overall, there weren't many other options within the specific hotel for food (others included cafe kiosk in the lobby and room service [a lot the same restaurant fare]), so if this is the main option (especially at a luxury hotel), I have higher expectations. read more

Whenever we visit Vegas for our Thanksgiving trip with my in-laws, we usually stay at Aria or Park MGM and walk over to Wicked Spoon Buffet because of its wide variety of food stations: seafood, carving station, breakfast, desserts, and more. This time, we came back to Vegas for the Janet Jackson concert at Resorts World but decided to stay at Mandalay Bay. The morning of the concert, we were looking for the best brunch or buffet options, and Veranda at Four Seasons came up as a top choice on Yelp. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the host and seated. Our server, Leo, welcomed us and recommended checking out the buffet options. While Veranda's buffet is smaller than Wicked Spoon, the stations looked fresh, well-curated, and inviting. A highlight was the bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys, which had additional creative options like the Strawberry Blonde and a tequila-based cocktail, a nice twist from the standard offerings for an extra charge, separate from the buffet pricing but worth it. Buffet Options/Highlights They offer an omelette station, donut station, seafood, bread, salad, fruit & yogurt station, and a hot food station. Food: 4.5/5 I tried the sticky bun, banana pudding, bacon, avocado toast, fried chicken, donuts, omelette, and chia pudding everything was delicious and well-prepared. Drinks: Fresh Juices Orange Juice: 5/5 (fresh and vibrant) Carrot Juice: 4.5/5 Cocktails All the Mimosas: 4.5/5 (loved the variety) Bloody Mary: 3.5/5 (decent, but nothing extraordinary) Service: Excellent. Our server, Leo, was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and thorough in explaining the buffet vs. à la carte menu. At the donut station, Francisco was incredibly kind, taking his time with guests and letting everyone customize their toppings just the way they wanted. The restaurant was clean and the decor reminded me of a complimentary dining space at a courtyard hotel. I would absolutely return, even if we're staying at Aria or Park MGM, because Veranda is worth the experience. This review is for the Holiday Tea Service. I needed somewhere to take my elderly Mom to celebrate her birthday. This place popped up only feed and I decided to book a small party for holiday tea service. We arrived a few minutes early and we were promptly seated. Bill was our server and his service was truly outstanding. From the time we sat down to the time we left, he made sure our little celebration was memorable. The holiday tea is $85 per person and includes a glass of bubbly which was Prosecco. Not one of my faves so I upgraded us all to a glass of Veuve Clicquot. Great way to start out our tea service. We had our choice of teas. We all selected a different tea so we could share. We chose the Ruby Oolong, Golden Chamomile Blossoms, Nutcracker, and Gingerbread cookie. All the teas were so flavorful and I really loved the Gingerbread cookie tea as did my daughter. Our beautiful tower arrived with all the goodies from savory to sweet. We loved the scones and they were served with Devonshire cream. They tasted very fresh. The dark chocolate Yule Log was a hit along with the Sea Salt Caramel Pâte à Chou. Our table was nestled in a private area so we felt very comfortable, and when it came time to sing Happy Birthday to Mom the whole restaurant joined in which I know she loved. Overall we had a wonderful experience and the service was just top notch. Be sure to valet park when you arrive so you can take in the beauty of the decorated Four Seasons Hotel. Veranda is located inside the Four Seasons. You can valet park at the entrance to Four Seasons and then enter and go left to the Veranda. Dined here on Christmas Eve after church. What an absolutely amazing experience. We were promptly seated and the waiter delivered menus and waters for us. They had a special menu for Christmas and their regular menu as well. We ordered meatball appetizers and house made focaccia bread. Also a beet salad and tomato basil soup. All of these items were delicious and well prepared. For dinner I ordered slow roasted veal osso bucco. My wife ordered the Branzino. Both meals arrived hot and both were absolutely delicious. The risotto was a bit under done, but the veal was outstanding. The branzino was full of flavor and was flaky and moist. For desert, the grandmas triple layer chocolate cake. This desert was absolutely decadent and delicious. The ambience is upscale inside Veranda as one would expect inside the Four Seasons. The service was impeccable and the food was 5 star as well. Sadly disappointing. This place came recommended by locals. I was hesitant as the online reviews were just over 4/5, but still gave it a try. My partner and I arrived just after 12pm and decided to go with the lunch menu due to our plant based diet, although the buffet was tempting and beautiful. We elected to share the burrata, crispy cauliflower and veggie burger. We ordered our meal to come with buratta and cauliflower apps first and burger to follow. Additionally, I ordered a glass of Sancerre when we ordered our food. Once we placed the order, our waiter did not return until after our food arrived. After about 15 minutes, with no wine or appetizers to speak of, we tried flagging down someone, anyone; however, all wait staff seemed preoccupied. A few minutes later all 3 dishes came out. I informed the kind woman who delivered them, that I had not yet received my wine and that we would need share plates. It wasn't worth mentioning that we wanted to enjoy our apps prior to our main. My wine arrived 2 minutes later just after the share plates. The food left a lot to be desired: I haven't been to an Applebees or TGI Fridays for years, but I can't imagine the food here was much better. Crispy Cauliflower -- nothing special or unique. Fried and with a standard Asian citrus sweet/sour sauce. Burrata -- the burrata cheese itself was not creamy or of good quality; this lower quality was "masked" by the strong pesto sauce it was accompanied by. The tomatoes were not heirloom, rather simple cherry. The toast was not very fresh. The grilled nectarines or peaches were bitter. Burger -- the veggie patty was tasty but mushy and did not keep its shape at all. The burger fell apart upon just picking it up. The bread was not fresh which made it impossible to take a bite without all the contents falling out. Once we were ready to pay and placed our card in the bill presenter, we waited for close to 10 minutes for the waiter the collect it. Please note, the restaurant was not busy at any time during our visit. Other notes: We saw a host stop with the guests she was seating, to wait for a bus waiter to cross their path. The bus waiter could have and should have stopped. A napkin was dropped when the woman next to us got up and went to the restroom. It took several minutes for one of the many available support staff to address it. Dishes were not cleared in a timely manor at any table in my line of site. Although aloof, the staff were all friendly and polite. The atmosphere was nice but not so nice that the service, food and attention to detail should suffer. We were torn because we had reservations for the Alice in Wonderland tea at the Virgin Resort and this place which was in a nice setting, but the seating looked basic in the yelp photos I saw. But it's the Ritz, so we canceled Virgin and came here and I'm so glad we came here. The staff was so genteel and they used that quiet type of talking that just whispers, "We're classy." And yes, they were. the dining area is lovely. In the photos I saw online, it was at an angle that made it look like an orange diner, but seeing it in person, it's a lovely place to have high tea. When we were seated, our server confirmed that they got the message about my peanut allergy and he confirmed there wasn't a peanut in the place, because he also had the same allergy. Phew! The bites that were offered were fine and having gone to some amazing teas, I was very impressed. The flavors were clean and nothing was over salted or sugary, but subtle. You can tell a place by the quality of the scones they serve and these were fresh out of the oven. The devonshire cream was perfect. The lemon curd subtle instead of that metallic lemon flavor you can get from some lemon curds. I was not impressed with the taste of the plate I ordered. I had to ask for salt and pepper. I mainly ordered the shrimp pasta because of the shrimp and it came out with only 3 shrimps. Pasta was not very good. Overpriced for the quality of the dish. I had imagined that this restaurant being inside the four seasons would be amazing. But the dishes were bland. So, they accidentally gave me a non-vegan omelet with chicken eggs, and dairy Feta on the hummus. Apparently, the vegan Feta is just shredded cauliflower. Although that's very creative and beautifully presented, I would have appreciated the description to reflect that it's actually shredded cauliflower, since vegan Feta does exist by Violife or Follow Your Heart. The omelet also mentioned "mozzarella" but it was vegan cheddar. Again, this is totally acceptable for vegans, but a more accurate description of what type of cheese comes with the omelet, would have been more clear. If I didn't have my non-vegan husband to taste test for me, I may have not felt well afterwards so I really hope the kitchen can learn to better identify what is vegan on a plate and what isn't, before sending it out to customers, especially since dairy and egg are major allergens. However, they were very apologetic and ended up taking them off of the bill, which we did not expect, but greatly appreciated. The vegan banana blueberry muffin ($4) was so delicious and we got more to-go, as the muffin can also be ordered from their Press coffee stand, in the lobby area. Although the first impression wasn't what I was expecting, I would give them another chance because the service was nice and once I did receive my vegan food, everything tasted great! The atmosphere was also very inviting and their outside patio area was very comfy and spacious. They also have a machine that validates for complimentary parking. However, I would recommend tipping the staff, as they are constantly holding doors open for you and ready to assist. read more

This picture doesn't do the buffet justice but I am going to tell you it is worth the money. The weekend buffet doesn't start till 8:00 AM we got there at 7:30 and waited. I am a little skeptical about buffets on the strip because they are often overpriced and not very good. This one is small but absolutely delicious. They have your typical eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes but they also have pot stickers, chicken chilaquiles, shrimp and chicken shumai, shrimp and grits, shrimp cocktail, bacon waffles, French toast and healthy options like over night oats, fruit, chia seed pudding etc. I have been to other buffets and usually they have huge amounts of food but flavor is lacking, this buffet is flavorful and portion size is small but allows for you to try multiple little portions. It's a buffet so you serve yourself multiple times. Service is excellent, Javier was our server and he was on top of refilling our drinks. read more
