This is a beautiful high-end restaurant located in the Venetian Las Vegas. We came here before going to the Backstreet Boys concert at the Sphere. We ordered the Hamachi, margarita pizza, oven roasted chicken and lobster pasta. The Hamachi was so fresh and flavorful. I was expecting a little bit more of the lobster and shrimp pasta, but it was still really good. My friends ordered the pizza and roasted chicken so I did not taste that but they said that they enjoyed it. Being that this is a high-end restaurant at a restaurant on the strip in Las Vegas the service was excellent. It was definitely good food and wasn't super overpriced.
Located in the Palazzo, Gjelina was a perfect little tucked away spot with cozy feels. I was celebrating my birthday and they made it so special from the food dishes, a speciality mocktail from the bartender himself and even a special birthday moment. The service was great, food was tasty and my parents enjoyed it! Will be back again.
We really enjoyed our food! The service was amazing. The Agnolotti was amazing!!! I could eat that all day long. Pork Chop was juicy and seasoned well. Pizza, my hubby enjoyed. We skipped dessert to check out the new Gelateria that just opened. We will be back.
Located in the Venetian, this spot had really tasty food. I wish we had more time to go back and try more dishes. We came here after attending a pool party at Tao and were pretty hungry. We did not have any reservations and were seated immediately. This place did not disappoint and ended up being one of our favorites. The server was quick to greet us and took the time to go over the menu, which we appreciated, and explained they are farm to table approach. You can really taste the quality in the ingredients. When we first arrived, the restaurant was fairly quiet, which made for a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. As the evening went on and we were finishing up, it started to pick up and feel much more lively, giving it a nice transition from calm to energetic without feeling overwhelming. My favorite was definitely the pizza. The server mentioned the dough is Napoli style, soft and chewy, and it was absolutely delicious. I do not remember all of the items, but we ordered the following: Gruyère, Caramelized Onion, Fromage Blanc, Arugula ($26) Lamb Chops, Curry Risotto, Harissa ($55) Some pasta dish Tiramisu Pistachio Chocolate Tarte Overall, it was a great post-party meal and I would definitely come back to try more of the menu.
Gjelina is a very nice new American style restaurant and bar located on restaurant row in the Venetian Hotel/Casino. The brunch, lunch, and dinner menus they offer have raw seafood, salads, fancy side vegetables, sandwiches, hand made pastas, wood fired pizzas, entrees, and they also offer weekend breakfast plates too. The restaurant is large and attractive with multiple dining areas. The silverware is very well polished here. They do offer many interesting vegetable side dishes. We tried the Oyster Mushrooms with guajillo rub, and cilantro-avocado emulsion. We both thought the mushrooms were delicious. I almost wish I had a taco shell to go with them because they taste like a very good taco filling. My husband enjoyed the Cured Chorizo Pizza. He said that it was very good. I tried the Blackened Sea Bass Sandwich with black garlic aioli, slaw, and house made chips. It was very good but impossible to eat. The sandwich is packed so high that it is impossible to get in your mouth. I removed some fish from the sandwich to make it smaller. I also cut the sandwich in half. Then I had maybe an inch of firm sliced vegetables that were called slaw to bite through. That also was very difficult because the vegetables were sliced very thick and were very firm. I was going to eat the vegetables separate but couldn't because they were too tangy for my palate but good in the sandwich mixed with everything else. Our waiter did check on us and I told him that it was difficult to bite through the vegetables in this sandwich. I suggested that they cut them finer and he thanked me and said it was a good suggestion. The service was very good. Plates were cleared, silverware was replaced, and beverages were filled quickly.
REVIEW #1800!! I wasn't expecting this to be as good as it was. I've been to the Venice location and didn't love it - so sceney and more about the experience than the food. But this was really nice. We came for Easter brunch. The hostess asked if we were celebrating anything and that was a bizarre question given that it was Easter morning... off to a weird start. We were shown to one of those ubiquitous banquette booth situations but they were actually spacing people out, which was nice and unusual. Most of the time in Vegas right now, you ARE going to be sitting practically on top of another two-top regardless of how busy the place is. There was a special Easter menu with a handful of interesting options. We started with the deviled eggs, which we are wont to do. Usually, these SOUND great on paper but aren't good in actuality. These beauties were actually delicious, with just the right amount of mustard and a trout roe topping that was fresh tasting and not at all fishy. We ordered off the regular brunch menu for our mains. I chose the avocado toast, which came with a delicious topping of fresh burrata. Burrata for me is hit or miss... if done right, it's wonderful, but most of the time it's cold and flavorless. This was clearly fresh and absolutely made the entire dish. My partner had the fried chicken sandwich, which was also good. But the starter and my avocado toast were the winners. Our server was lovely. Friendly, professional and gave excellent recommendations. This was a nice surprise and we will definitely be having dinner here on an upcoming trip. Approved!
Amazing food, amazing staff! I absolutely love the burger, and apps. A great spot to stop in for lunch, dinner, even breakfast, try the blueberry pankcakes and omelet. Nice ambiance and you can take in the game too! Cheers Gjelina!
Gjelina in Abbot Kinney has been on my list of places to try forever and was excited to discover they opened a location inside the Venetian. Took the opportunity to head here for a quick lunch during our annual CNY trip. Though we had reservations, we ended up waiting an additional 10 minutes before being seated. Started off with a 2 salads which came out pretty quickly. Both the beet and the arugula salads were tasty and were tossed with the perfect amount of salad dressing. Next out came the orechiette pasta which was just ok in my opinion. Then came both pizzas (chorizo and mushroom) which had the perfect amount of char and blistering but didn't think the dough had much flavor. Thought the chorizo was a tad bit too oily and salty to my liking. The mushroom pizza was the star of the meal. Mashed potatoes were just ok and quite enjoyed the brussel sprouts. Service was spot on and appreciated them expediting our order so that I could head back to the room and finish my afternoon meetings.
We stopped here for lunch while waiting for our room to be ready. We sat at the bar and were taken care of by Amanda and Jeremy, who were both wonderful, friendly, attentive, and impressively fast with service despite it being a busy time. For food, we ordered the Gruyere pizza and Brussels sprouts, both of which hit the spot. Everything was well-balanced and flavorful without being heavy. To drink, we had a Sancerre white wine and an Aperol, which paired perfectly with the food and made for a light, refreshing lunch. Overall, it was an easy, enjoyable stop. Great service, food, and exactly what we needed to kick off the trip. Would absolutely come back!
Grabbed a group lunch at Gjelina during our stay at the Venetian in Vegas. It was very pretty inside. We ordered a couple items to share for the table. The market green salad was just alright, it needed some flavor or dressing, just something. The Turkey sandwich was really good. The cacio de pepe pasta was also good. The roasted cauliflower was amazing, a favorite of the whole table. Also ordered the ginger lemonade (not pictured) and loved it, very refreshing. Service was really friendly and attentive. A bit on the higher priced side, but it's Vegas.
We decided to try out this restaurant based on it's convenient location (inside our hotel) and the menu. Such an incredible find! The service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was chic comfort. The food far exceeded our expectations. The dessert of Sticky Toffee Pudding with a sharp ginger ice cream was so good it was a much an experience as a dish. Everything was craveable.
I was staying at Palazzo and I walked by this on the way to the Venetian Casino. I saw that they had a woodfired pizza oven and homemade pasta, so I stopped by. The restaurant itself is usually pretty packed, but there were some open seats at the bar so I sat there. The staff were attentive in the vibe was cozy. I ended up ordering pickled vegetables and the chorizo pizza. The food was excellent, the staff were attentive, and they had a good wine selection that was fairly priced. If you don't wanna go outside the Venetian complex for Italian, this is a great spot. Next time I'm there, I'm going to try the homemade pasta.
Freshest ingredients and wonderful services! We tried Gjelina for the first time after we finished a show at the Venetian. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner and would recommend it to everyone. Located in the Venetian hotel on the restaurant row near the theater, the restaurant offers farm to table fresh ingredients in mainstream American cuisine. When we arrived, the hostess greeted us warmly and we were seated right away. The menu was simple with salad, pizza, homemade pasta, and meat dishes. We ordered the arugula salad, beet salad, and a mushroom truffle pizza to share among us. Serving size was generous and the salad was fresh and light. The pizza had a mild truffle flavor and it was the perfect size for two people. As for the services and ambiance, our service was quick and our waiters were very attentive with our beverages. The dining area is well laid out for intimate date nights and larger party sizes. Our bill came to $75 before tips, which we felt was an excellent value for the meal. I wish they will be expanding the menu to add more fresh fish among the mixes. Highly recommend!

We stopped by Gjelina before the Backstreet Boys concert at the Sphere for a quick drink, and it turned into such a lovely experience! Everyone was incredibly nice and welcoming. A special shout-out to Maverick, Arisa and especially our server, Freddy, who took great care of us. We started with the bread and butter and a few drinks. We also tried the heirloom tomato salad with basil, and a champagne vinaigrette, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were so fresh and vibrant, I had a rum cocktail that was sweet and delicious, and it was definitely a favorite. Overall, Gjelina was the perfect spot for a pre-concert stop. Great food, delicious drinks, and genuinely friendly service. We'd definitely come back! read more

Gjelina I had brunch and have been here before, this place inside is super nice and it is located on the ground floor between Venetian and Palazoo. I got their little gem Caesar salad which is so tasty! If you love a good Caesar this is the place to be. I also shared a turkey sandwich and this was nice and light. The bread was perfectly toasted and the blend with the onions and the greens was tasty! They also have some tasty pizzas that are very unique like the lamb sausage. Our server was fun and everything was delicious! read more
We had a $100 dining credit through the American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts benefit to use at one of the participating Venetian/Palazzo restaurants, so of course we had to put it to good use! We were looking for a lunch spot and decided to give Gjelina a try after spotting it on our way to the Backstreet Boys concert the night before. Service was quick, and somehow the four dishes we ordered came out to just under our $100 credit before tax and tip -- perfect! The hamachi tasted super fresh, and I loved the ikura on top. The fingerling potatoes were definitely finger-licking good and probably one of my favorites. I also really enjoyed the Caesar salad! It had a good leaf-to-crunch ratio, and the bread they used for the croutons had the perfect crunch without being rock hard. The steak had really good flavor, although it was a little tougher than I would've liked. Overall, a nice lunch option inside the Venetian, especially if you have an Amex FHR dining credit to use! read more

Stopped by Gjelina at the The Venetian Resort Las Vegas before the No Doubt concert and had a great experience. The service was awesome and the drinks were on point. The beet salad was fresh and flavorful, and the mushroom flatbread was a standout. The lobster pasta was good, though the lobster itself was a bit on the salty side. Overall, a solid spot for dinner and cocktails before a show on the Strip. read more

Omg those broccolini's were so good! It was like a Caesar salad but crunchier? The shrimp app, omg that sauce was so good I literally soaked up the whole thing with my bread. The service was amazing, my glass was never empty. There was always someone to help me with anything, not just my server. The place was a bit dark, but I'm guessing it was "romantic," it definitely a great first date spot, or just hanging out before going to the sphere. That second one for sure! I'll Definitely be back for seconds!! read more

Perfect spot before going to the sphere!! They say farm to table and everything is made from scratch.. yeah it is and it makes all the difference. With family in from out of town, they couldn't stop saying it was their favorite meal in Vegas AND it's more than reasonably priced! The service is spectacular too! We had server,Zack, who had only been there for about 3 months. He knew the menu and wines with such wonderful recommendations. My husband and I were celebrating my 75th birthday and he was so kind and thoughtful. Loved the happy birthday candle and ice cream. So nice. our food was excellent. Hats off to the chef and staff. In a hotel with fantastic food, a place with "good" food also stands out... We made a reservation here because we knew that this place was farm to table. We actually had the roasted chicken, which was pretty darn good and the greens underneath that were even better. We also had the Wagyu beef pasta, which was good, but I hate to say it, was just a little bit like Chef Boyardee pasta. It was good, but maybe the extra tender beef made it feel like it was mushy out out of a can? The crustless cheesecake was a good finish as was the coffee, but both were a bit on the pricey side for what we got. We ate at a number of places at the Venetian hotel, and loved all of them. This place was probably our least favorite, but was still very good. I might check out a couple of the other places along the way. By the way, here's a tip, if you check the Venetian rewards email that you get once you check in, you can get a free drink with the purchase of an entrée. Pretty good Prosecco. We got the same thing at the Greek restaurant nearby where they brought a glass for my wife and I, but here they only brought us the one. Again, a good place to eat, but compared to other places very close to it. It was lacking in service and food quality. read more

Gjelina was our spot for dinner and drinks before a concert at the Sphere and it was so memorable! It was actually very busy, as there was the concert and conferences going on. Every table was full. However, service was fast and impeccable! It felt like we were the only ones there. The food was fantastic. The pasta was al dente just the way I like it, everything was seasoned to perfection. We definitely ordered too much food because we couldn't decide LOL - but it was smart to do family style so we could try multiple dishes. Can't wait to go back! read more
Ambiance: I liked the ambiance here. The inside is modern and dim. It's a newer restaurant so I expected this type of environment & style. Service: service was really good! our server was really nice & gave us recommendation since we haven't been. he was also accommodating to our one off requests. Food: I thought the cocktails were okay here - nothing special but still good. We ordered a few things off the menu but the ones I wanted to highlight was the japanese potato (yam) with a jalepeno sauce. It was unique and absolutely delicious! I could eat 5 plates of that. I also really enjoyed the beet salad & sea bass! The hamachi was also really tasty & slightly different from other restaurants. Their pasta was good but nothing super exciting - I would try other pastas next time. One item I didn't enjoy at all was their beef tartare. It was pretty tart for my liking - definitely can be skipped if you're contemplating it. Overall, enjoyed this restaurant & would come back! read more

The lobster spaghetti was seriously the bomb! It had the perfect amount of spice, and there was definitely a bite of lobster and shrimp in every forkful. The noodles were cooked to the perfect al dente texture, making every bite absolutely delicious. We also had the seafood tower with hamachi, lobster, jumbo shrimp, and Hokkaido oysters, and it was hands down the best seafood tower we've had in Vegas! Everything was so flavorful, and you could tell just how fresh the seafood was. And I can't say enough about the Caesar salad! The lettuce was out of this world, and the chip croutons were on another level. Not to mention, everything is made in-house, so you know it's fresh and made with care. From the incredible food to the amazing service, this place did not disappoint! Be sure to see Maverick and his crew for some of the best dining service on the Strip. You won't regret it! I have been to the original Gjelina in Venice once, so was eager to try this new Vegas location and even booked a stay at The Palazzo for convenience. It's located on Restaurant Row; my goodness, how the restaurants on the Row have changed over the years! I think Delmonico's is the oldest remaining eatery here. Note some of these restaurants have their own restrooms, others use the ones in the corridor going to the convention center. Gjelina is a pretty large space, I would say about 5 times larger than the Venice spot. It has 2 private rooms, a bar and a semi-open kitchen. Gjelina has always been about farm-to-table produce-forward dishes; apparently the seasonal ingredients sourced for Venice are also sourced for Vegas. Although Gjelina offers some interesting plates of protein, I ended up going with more veggie-forward dishes. I love corn, and there were 2 corn dishes available. The braised shaved corn was an ode to creamed corn, made creamy with mascarpone cheese plus pecorino and parmesan, with an acidic pinch of lime. The other corn dish was a pasta--ricotta gnocchi with creamed corn sauce and pecorino. Rich and delish. I also got a beet salad with frisee, sourdough panzanella, burrata, toasted seeds and Fuji apple. Also delish. The housemade lemonade was fine. I was also offered a complimentary cocktail because the bartender happened to be training someone and trying new things. My server, who replaced my original server that clocked out, was very enthusiastic and attentive. The name Chaz is on my check, I'm not sure if that's him. He made sure to note that 20% gratuity is already added. There was no "charge for ice" that some prior reviews mentioned. Gjelina, is another example of a restaurant that has been around in Los Angeles for a while, that I never visited. Instead, was seamlessly able to do so (without traffic), on a visit to Las Vegas. While the eatery has got a nice location, it was mostly empty when I got there for lunch. What surprised me was that the menu was unimpressive. Since it was already late (and I had dinner plans), I opted for a non starch option, from the breakfast section: Crispy Egg, Prosciutto Di Parma, Romesco, Arugula. The eggs were cooked over easy and the rest of the ingredients married well with the dish. Service was excellent. But would I go here again? I doubt it. read more
This is a newer addition to the Venetian restaurants. They are between Delmonico and Yardbird along restaurant row. The ambiance is romantic with subdued lighting with a task light and candles on each table. Sustainably is key with a farm to table ethos. We came on a quiet Monday night about an hour before closing and we were seated immediately (ten minutes before our reservation). Our server Christian was very helpful and made sure we had water to drink and answered all our questions about the menu. We started with a small Cesar Salad that was larger enough for us to share with large fresh romaine lettuce leaves. For our entrees we had the Lamb Chops, the Pork Chops and the Japanese Sweet Potatoes: All the food was excellent. The lamb and pork was flavorful and the sweet potatoes were amazing. Definitely a five star restaurant that we I'll be returning to on our next Vegas trip. read more

Gjelina. It had been 11 years since I last ate at the Abbot Kinney location in Venice Beach. I remember how I really engjoyed the meal. Alas, a lot of time has passed and while I moved on to try many different and fantastic restaurants, Gjelina was stuck in the past. Some things should stay buried in the past, like a fond memory. Unfortunately, Gjelina decided to open up in my new back yard. The wife and I made a reservation and headed to The Venetian. Speaking of The Venetian, I remember when parking was free. It still is free for locals but only for 3 hours and only if there are no special events. Meh. Strike One: From the get go I was annoyed. I explained to the hostess with the tablet that we had a reservation. She said okay and then we were seated at a communal table. Sorry, but that is some bs and so I explained that no, I wanted a table. They moved us to a table but her body language was anything but friendly. Strike Two: Gjelina adds an automatic 20% gratuity. This includes parties of one or two. This could explain why the service was poor. They already get 20% guaranteed. My server was not cordial, did not explain any specials, and was gjust mediocre. Strike Three: The food was not impressive. You can write all the cookbooks you want. The food gjust doesn't get the gjob done. We ordered the pork chop and all I could think of was the pork chop at Farmstead in St Helena. The orecchiette was a brown mess with a glob of whipped ricotta that looked more like a TV dinner. Should've gjust gone to Esther's Kitchen in the Art's District. Also, they charge for the bread which isn't that great either. Strike out. Gjelina, no wonder you are rated 3.5 stars for your Venice location. Sorry but you only get two for the Venetian location. What an utter disappointment. read more

From the service (10/10) to the food (10/10) and the vibe - it was an excellent experience. Our server, Christian, was super helpful, friendly and personable. We ordered a few sides and the arugula salad with a side of perfectly grilled chicken breast. All of the food was amazing! Highly recommend. read more
My friends and I decided to dine here and it did not disappoint. Reservations are highly recommend. Thank you David for arranging the reservation for us. Our server, Oliver, was very nice and attentive. Our drinks were perfectly made and I was very pleased with my Okd Fashioned. Food: Pickled Vegetables Hamachi with Black Garlic, Sesame, Lemon Truffle Pizza Orcchiette Beef Cheek Bolognese Cacio e Pepe Wow!!! What a wonderful and delicious dinner. The pickled vegetables was an added touch to cleanse our palate. The Hamachi was so tasty. Actually, all the dishes were yummy. If anything which I usually enjoy, the cacio e pepe was my least favorite. Still good. Overall, a memorable night spent with lovely friends, strong drinks and delicious and flavorful dishes. read more

Stopped in for dinner and drinks before the No Doubt concert. The service was on point, the drinks were delicious and the food was incredible. We had the Hamachi, the steak tartare and the beef cheek Bolognese. Highly recommend all three of these dishes. read more

We went a bit late but were able to get seated right away as a group of six. All the food was excellent and the service was great. The pizza was really good!! Thin but not soggy and droopy. We ate the entire pizza. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out a cute dessert that was delicious. Would definitely come back. read more
This restaurant is located inside the Venetian in restaurant row. We came here on a Saturday at 8:30 for breakfast. We were seated right away by the window. Our server came right away and took our drink order. We ordered the pancakes, the polenta, and the cheese omelette. All were very fresh and tasty. The service was attentive and professional. Our coffee and water were never empty and the establishment was very clean. read more
I came with a bachelorette party as a last minute pivot since Lavo screwed up our reservation, and I'm glad we pivoted! The food was delicious and service was really great. I had the duck hash, crispy egg with prosciutto, and the escarole salad. All the other girls really loved their items as well. read more
