Our experience at Michael Mina was exceptional from beginning to end. Five stars honestly do not feel like enough! We arrived about 45 minutes before our reservation, and the hostess graciously seated us early because we had our son with us. Every member of the staff made him feel genuinely welcomed and went out of their way to make the evening special for him. That meant so much to us as parents. Our son loved the crab legs and couldn't get enough of the warm pita bread, they brought him basket after basket because he thought it was the best bread he had ever tasted! He is usually hesitant to try meat, but he tasted the filet mignon and really enjoyed it. He even tried the crudo, loved it, and wanted us to order more. He enjoyed the experience so much that he asked if we could return the following day! My husband ordered the signature lobster pot pie, and we were all able to taste it. It was absolutely incredible, rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I am normally not a fan of oysters, but these oysters were exceptional and completely surprised me. I had previously visited Michael Mina with a girlfriend, and one of the reasons I was excited to return was the espresso martini. It is hands down the best espresso martini I have ever had. It was creamy, smooth, perfectly balanced, and so delicious that I wanted to order three and take one home! I have tried asking other places to recreate it, but no one has come close. My husband ordered his favorite drink, an Old Fashioned, and he loved it. It was smooth, beautifully presented, and served in a very cool glass. Our waiter was attentive throughout the entire meal, consistently checking on us and making sure that both we and our son had everything we needed. We were too full for dessert, but everything we tried was outstanding. The food and drinks were phenomenal, but what made the experience truly unforgettable was how warmly everyone treated our son. They didn't simply accommodate him, they made him feel like a valued guest and genuinely wanted him to enjoy the full dining experience. There really is NOT enough said about how amazing this place is. We've been coming to Vegas twice a month for 6 years and staying in MGM properties a lot... why have we never been here? Well honestly, we don't love the Bellagio unless there is a view. And that is my ONLY singular complaint about this place. We couldn't find it. We went to their restaurant row. No signs. We looked online. No directions. We went back to the lobby. No signs. WHERE IS IT? We somehow found it - here's what you need to know... it's right behind the Conservatory and next to Sadelle's. You're welcome. So I come in all flustered and a few minutes late because we couldn't find it. I was immediately treated like a princess by the host and the manager who took us to our table and made a fuss over me. OH I like it. The room is gorgeous. If this place had a view - have mercy - it would conquer the Strip. This dinner we had is THAT good. We didn't do any of the tasting menus because we're a little picky and there were three of us - weird number. I pushed the two guys with me to get the tomato and melon salad. OMG this is incredible. Everyone did a "sit back in your seat" moment. And you need something this fresh and delicious for all the richness to come. We shared the lobster pot pie and it was again, out of this world. It comes with a show and you WILL be fighting your dining companions for the crust. The bread with a trio of dips was fantastic and my extra dirty martini was filthy and served with a bleu cheese olive. Next were some perfectly fresh scallops. And let me say that the kitchen plated everything exactly for sharing amongst the three of us. So appreciated. The service here does not miss a beat. Next was a lovely steak cooked perfectly and some heavenly whipped potatoes. We were all completely blissed out. But it kept getting better. A pasta course that had us all using the remainder of the bread to grab the last of this sauce. And then two desserts that made two grown men moan. (I can control myself). If you do nothing else, get that lemon dessert. As I was leaving, the manager gifted me a "M" lapel pin... making me an honorary - I don't know... Michael Mina groupie? I'll take it. And I did. This meal was one of the best we have ever had in Vegas. And we come a LOT. And we've been everywhere. This is in our top three and our guest is still telling people about how out of this world this meal was. Expensive? Yes. But not more expensive than less satisfying meals we've had recently. It's a cool restaurant inside the Bellagio with a modern vibe. 5/5 Hostess was really welcoming and seated us quickly after asking about our reservation. 5/5 We started out with the grilled octopus, which was very tasty. We'd have preferred a little less of the Romario based sauce and a tad bit more salt. 4/5 For our mains, I had the 8oz filet, my wife had the lobster pot pie and we got the brussel sprouts and whipped potatoes for sides. One thing the Bellagio does well is decorate the Observatory with Holiday Events absolutely amazing display and well thought of themes. The food is crazy high...but we'll worth the expense. They offer wine and premium pairings from $150 - $300 per person. Starting with Caviar. This is a true hidden gem tucked way behind the Observatory. Do not shy away! You only live once. The bar is well stocked with all my favorites including Japanese Whiskey. The service is great no waiting for your cocktails to be served after the appetizers arrive. The staff is well informed and do not judge you base on your attire and sweaty cap from walking around in 98 degree heat. No crowds to fight with. A truly very classy place. I have not posted a review in months but I was very impressed and that does not happen often. Elena at the bar was great l Don't ignore this precious gem in Vegas. I was excited to try Michael Mina. I had been to his restaurant in SF before it closed and I enjoyed that so much. I expected it to be a bit more like the SF location experience wise, but it was still a lovely dining adventure. It's not fine dining like Le Cirque, Joel Robuchon, or Guy Savoy, but it's definitely upscale with great food and a nice polished feel. The service was great and most of the food was good. I took off a star because of two things: the Caviar parfait wasn't good at all. I felt like it had no taste and was missing something. It definitely wasn't worth the $55 supplement! The crispy prawns were also nuisance to eat. Very messy and food particles flying everywhere when trying to cut it. However, the rest of the meal was delicious. The prawns were still tasty, the phyllo-crusted petrale sole was heavenly and the filet mignon with foie gras was absolutely decadent. I enjoyed the two desserts so much too....a root beer float with the most yummy cookie, and their "the lemon" dessert. "The Lemon" was the perfect way to end the meal. A part of the Bellagio since opening, first as Aqua but since reborn twice as MICHAEL MINA Restaurant, it is under the direction of Chef Raj Dixit that the space secluded behind the Conservatory remains remarkable to this day. Always a special place, and picking up pace in early-Winter, it was at a windowside table that four guests were situated just past to 7:30pm, Carte Blanche once again deferred to the kitchen who can always be trusted to prepare a menu of pure opulence. Designed as an eight-course tasting, with white glove treatment afforded to all in attendance, it was following a Champagne toast that the night started with Michael Mina's timeless Caviar Parfait commanding attention from black Eggs to crispy Potato Cake with palates cleansed between bites by Belvedere Vodka. Delivering Crudo and housemade Laffa next, the first of two baskets complimented by a trio of Spreads, Tagliatelle arrives with French Butter ready to be lavished with freshly shaved Italian White Truffles from Tuscany. Always seasonal, two of Mina's famous Pot Pie served tableside with a generous amount of Lobster, Friday's Fish course consisted of gently cooked Turbot bathed in aromatic Dashi fortified by Truffles and freshly shucked Peas. Dined here with the wife on a Saturday night; 6:30pm reservations. Based on the name, location and reputation we had high hopes for the meal but unfortunately those expectations were mostly not met. We were seated promptly at our reservation time by a friendly and welcoming hostess. Note that this is a smaller venue with an open kitchen and the expediting area is in close proximity to much of the dining room so it's a pretty loud environment with rather bright lighting. That didn't bother us but I only mention it in case you are looking for a quiet, dimly-lit romantic spot - this ain't it. The main reason for my review downgrade to four stars was the spotty service. I'm not sure if we happened to catch them on a night when there were staffing issues but it seemed like tables were being attended-to at rather random intervals. For example, after we sat down our server Elliot welcomed us almost immediately, taking our drink order and delivering the drinks promptly. We were then presented with menus after drinks were served (a little odd that they wouldn't just give you menus upon seating like most restaurants) but we then waited a rather long time for Elliot to return to take our order. In the interim another couple was seated at the table next to us and they had to actually ask for menus as they had waited so long for them after sitting down. As we are not opposed to a nice leisurely meal we normally order appetizers first and entrees when finished however when my wife overhead the menu issue next to us (coupled with the length of time we had already waited to order) she said "Let's order everything as soon as he comes back." At one point after we were waiting for awhile my wife saw our server at the expediting station look over at our table and say something along the lines of "Why don't they have food yet?" We also laughed a little when, after we had mostly finished eating, the general manager came to our table to tell us to enjoy our meal. I guess he didn't see our mostly empty plates by then lol. Just a very weird service experience overall for this type of restaurant. After ordering our food we had hoped to receive the bread service as we had been watching various surrounding tables receive it but again we waited quite some time. They did present a lovely amuse bouche of Asian beef broth which was quite tasty. When the bread eventually did arrive we really enjoyed the Parker rolls which were seasoned in a sort of "everything bagel" style and accompanied by delicious cultured butter. As for the food itself we did enjoy the meal but I can honestly say nothing really moved the needle tremendously, especially by Vegas Strip fine-dining standards (which admittedly is a high bar). My wife started with the kale salad and I ordered the grilled oysters. She liked the salad and the oysters were perfectly cooked in a lovely miso butter. That was probably the highlight of the meal for me. For entrees we shared phyllo-crusted sole and the butternut squash agnolotti. The fish was again cooked perfectly although I felt the crust could have benefited from additional seasoning as that type of fish can definitely hold it's own with aggressive flavors. Ironically the agnolotti was almost too-heavily seasoned with the traditional "pumpkin pie" type spices which overwhelmed the tender pasta and sauce. For side dishes we ordered the crispy potatoes and the brussels sprouts; both were very good with the sprouts being a real standout as they were bathed in an unctuous fish sauce with a chopped peanut garnish (think "Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts" - yum!) Overall this wasn't a really memorable meal and we likely won't be back. I'd give it a final rating of about 3.5 stars. With all of the options available on the Strip we just didn't feel that anything merited a return visit. We chose this restaurant to celebrate my 60th birthday due to its Michelin star rating. The restaurant is located inside the Bellagio Hotel. It had a boujee feel as you walked in but unpretentious. Wait staff all very well dressed. We opted for the tasting menu. I prefer wait staff describe the menu but he only chose to inform us of extra entrees available. Sure, we could read it but I wanted a description of each dish and how the meal would progress. I had the Old Fashioned and it was one of the best I've tasted!! Perfectly balanced. Loved that they used a small block of ice with the letter "M" etched in it. Nice touch!! Our wait staff also recommended an excellent Pinot Noir that paired well with our meal. Plating was exquisite and satiated all five senses. The rib eye was so soft compared to the wagyu. Fish glistened as it was cooked to perfection!! Everything was amazingly delicious!! A few opportunities for improvement that should be addressed as this is a Michelin star restaurant. Here are the reasons I did not give it a 5 star. While the food was impeccably plated and well seasoned, I thought temperature wise, specifically with the meats, it was not served hot. The dessert was also very underwhelming. After a while away, I took my family back to Michael Mina's this past Saturday, and once again, it exceeded expectations. Service: The service here is nothing short of impeccable. They remember all our allergies, preferences, and little quirks, making you feel like a truly welcomed guest the moment you arrive. The Food: I'm always impressed by their creative salads, and this time, the Fall Chicories Salad was no exception. I'm usually not one for goat cheese, but the balance with candied pecans and persimmon was so well done that I enjoyed every bite. We tried the grilled prawns and golden king crabs....... and if my meal ended there, I would have been happy. That grilled garlic with the butter sauce on the side...... need I say more? We also had our staple favorite, the tuna tartare--that sesame oil just elevates the flavors. And for anyone with a nut allergy (like my daughter), they can prepare it without pine nuts, and it's just as good. I ventured to try the Bolinas Black Cod this time, and it was a delightful surprise. Unlike the denser miso dishes in most places, this dish was light yet filling, with bok choy, truffle, and a broth that added layers of flavor. Highly recommend if you're looking for something on the lighter side. Another must-order for me: the whipped potato purée--easily one of the two best I've ever had (the other being at Smith & Wollensky). Dessert: For dessert, we sampled several options, but the standout was the coconut soufflé with black sesame sauce. It's a bit sweet, but for those with a shared sweet tooth, it's fantastic. Came here for our fancy dinner night with our friends while visiting Vegas. Celebrating my wife's birthday our friends anniversary. Starting out the waiter brought out a complimentary glass bubbles for everyone, which was a very thoughtful and unexpected start to our evening. More places should do nice gestures like this, it goes a long way, especially when you're about to spend several hundred dollars on a nice meal. The service continued to be exceptional when the waiter noticed our spouses needed a place for their purses, so they brought over table hangers for their bags, very nice. They bring out freshly baked pita with accompaniments (hummus, olive tapenade and tahini) that was delicious and they kept it coming. The menu is on the smaller side, which I don't mind, but they also have their tasting menu. This was a bit challenging trying to decide which direction to go for our table, ultimately we all decided to order separate entree's and some apps. We started with the grilled octopus that was amazing and sea scallops, also awesome. Delicious starters. For entrees, two of us had the phyllo crusted petrale sole which was excellent, one of us had the branzino half fish that was excellent and finally my wife went big with the Michael Mina's Lobster Pot Pie (menu doesn't describe this dish very well). The pot pie comes out table side with a 2.5lb lobster and then they remove it from the pot and arrange it on the plate to look like a lobster. Flavor bomb for sure!! Another very nice gesture, they brought out a nice little desert with a candle for my wife. We didn't have room for dessert but obviously we had to try something. We ordered The Lemon and if you like lemon, this is amazing and for you!! We didn't order the black forest cake but it accidentally came out so we ate it. All the desserts were beautiful creations. Sadly, this place was quite a letdown for us... in so many ways. My mom and I had a baby shower to attend in Vegas, so I suggested we come out a night early to have a nice girls night. I was excited to treat her to a nice restaurant and show. We visit here somewhat often as we're just in LA and we love the shows and culinary scene here. My husband and I often seek out Michelin restaurants and chefs tasting menus and we'd enjoyed a Michael Mina restaurant in the past so I assumed any negative reviews were a fluke. Reading back on them now, they were spot on. From the moment we arrived, the front hostesses were less than inviting. We were a little early for our reservation so they told us we had to come back at that time on the dot. Once we sat down, it took about 10 minutes for our server to stop by to take our drink order. I asked about a cocktail I saw on the table next to us as asked for direction to something light and refreshing. Before I could finish telling him what I normally drink, he said he'd get me this Golden Hour Cocktail, which looked questionable to me. The cocktail was terrible, combo of tart, sweet, overall strange. He replaced it w the cocktail I normally drink, which is a cucumber gimlet. I'd give it a 4/5. From there, it took 15 minutes for them to come back to take our order. At this point we began to realize how pretentious this place was, which is strongly not our vibe. The tasty complimentary naan bread and dips came after we ordered dinner, about 35 minutes after seating. My mom doesn't drink so this was a rather long wait for her w water from the start. We wanted to try a bit of everything but thought we'd have more fun off the tasting menu so we could enjoy the order of foie gras, octopus, caviar experience and duck fat potatoes. The server took our order w very little personality or input. We got: Foie Gras - this was possibly the best we've had. The flavor profile was dynamic and on point. I could have licked the plate 5/5 Hamachi - this was nice, nothing wildly special. Fresh, clean, nice textures, fun flavor. 4/5 Duck fat potatoes - pretty lacking. They definitely should have served them w some crisp. The beauty of duck fat potatoes is flavor *and* fry. We left 3/4 of them over. 2/5 Octopus - absolutely terrible. It was so chewy I wanted to spit it out but couldn't bc I had stupidly taken a rather large bite and it all just felt wrong to spit that into my napkin or worse off to a plate. We sent it back. 0/5 50g Connoisseur Caviar Service - $350 Something very interesting happened at this exact point of the meal - the service from staff went from pretentious and too busy to really care to "oh YOU'RE IMPORTANT now". This was an awkward and uncomfortable flip of the switch for us both. The service stepped up a few notches from here. We were presented w giant platters of accompaniments for each of us. Grated hard boiled egg, minced red onion, and what I imagine was Crème Fraîche w chives mixed in plus 1 of each - potato pancake, blini, brioche toast. The server had kindly brought a side order of the potato pancakes bc we had already told him we don't like blinis. The caviar was lovely, everything I love in a caviar. Unfortunately, the rest was pretty sad. Poorly executed and wildly dated, IMO. The crème was thick, a bit grainy, lacking the smooth silky creaminess from its lovably character. The rest just overpowered the gentle brine and creaminess of the caviar. The potato pancakes were dense, greasy and lacked any crisp whatsoever. McDonald's hash browns would have been a massive upgrade from these. The blinis were about 1" thick, greasy and while pleasant in flavor, not anything I would let the flavors of my caviar get lost to. The brioche toasts were the best of the options, but honestly I would have rather had simple but masterfully done homemade potato chips w a side of crème fraîche, herbs and lemon wedges. This was served w choice of champagne and/or vodka, both given to us to decide. They seemed willing to give us the world since our caviar service order. Overall it felt like $150 caviar w a whole lot of garbage fluff to fill in the $200 gap in price. Do better. We finished w the Black Forest cake, which was divine and well balanced. 5/5 We paid just under $700 after tax and tip and I so badly wished we'd gone somewhere else. We were left unsatisfied and let down. Luckily the show after was incredible so not a total loss. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO DO BETTER. In no way does it represent a Michael Mina experience. They really nailed all the little details, like the hand towel changes and the bartender's focus on the drink mixology. Finally checked out Michael Mina before heading to "O". Since we were short on time, my friend and I quickly ordered from the Overture Menu which is a great deal for $95/person! Keep in mind, a 5:30pm reservation for a 7pm show still feels very rushed for this experience with all the different courses. All of the courses were very delicious and a pleasant blend of flavors. My favorite was the first course, the crispy Kona blue prawn. Yum! The caviar parfait with Belvedere vodka was also very unique and delicious, definitely a Michael Mina signature appetizer (separate from the overture menu). This place is definitely a hidden gem inside Bellagio, tucked in the back corner of the Conservatory next to Sadelle's. Their wine selection was also very top notch and the service was quick yet attentive since our server knew we had a show to catch. Can't wait to come back and try more items when I'm not on a time constraint. read more

Michael Mina has been one of my favorite restaurants since I was a little kid...some of the staff that's been around for a while will recognize me and my family. We've seen the restaurant transform over the years. I've been putting off writing a review because I've dined here dozens of times. The space itself is beautiful and the staff are always attentive and professional. It's an indulgent meal but so worth it. Every now and then they switch things a little and currently they've gone harder down the Mediterranean route. You will not see one bad dish on the menu. A few classic menu items that are always good are the tuna tartare and lobster pot pie. We love their caviar service as well, it comes with a complimentary shot of vodka or glass of champagne. If you want to have the full package, I also recommend their foie gras. They have a good wine selection and fun cocktails too. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or a larger gathering, Michael Mina can accommodate you. I really hope the coconut souffle with black sesame anglaise stays because it is SO GOOD. read more

Now that's Fine Dining! I've always loved Michael Mina restaurants. 5 stars on food, 5 stars on the welcome and the service, 5 stars on ambience and energy. The truffle burrata and gazpacho was soooo goods tomato season is so great right now. And they showcase it so well. Also..... you can't get seared foie gras anywhere nowadays, so it was such a treat to have the super delicious duck breast and foie Oh and can't forget the first perfect bite of the Caviar Parfait. So pretty and the most decadent bite one could have. So happy I was able to stop at the Bellagio for Michelin star quality and the most fine dining experience. We visited Michael Mina at Bellagio during the pre-New Year's holiday rush--gorgeous spot with outstanding food. Observed the kitchen staff working incredibly hard, delivering consistent quality even as the new GM (unfamiliar, Domingo or Dominique?, never seen him before) had them prepare a whole tray of those famous pricey lobster pot pies off-menu for front-of-house staff, served comped on the dining floor amid paying customers. We found it strange and devaluing to the wonderful food we enjoyed--unfair to blatantly watch a GM's personal staff buffet. Huge props to the overworked kitchen. Otherwise phenomenal, despite the entitled GM actions. 5 stars for the food. read more

My wife and I recently visited Michael Mina in the Bellagio Hotel. From start to finish the entire evening was fantastic. The service and wine pairings were exceptional and Chef Raj curated a fantastic menu. Some of the highlights were the Hamachi with umeboshi and the Black Cod with Truffled Dashi. Overall, the money that was spent here was not exactly "worth" it. The disappointment that was splashing through my mouth the entire dinner really made me sad. The expectations of the establishment was far beyond the reality and I think that made it more disappointing than what it could have been. We ordered the tasting menu along with the wine pairing. Tasting menus are yes, more affordable but it should be their restaurant's best tasting items that get featured so that the customers are impressed and possibly return at another time.. but maybe this was missed somewhere between the kitchen and the staff. I'm not saying everything was bad, it was okay but definitely not worth the close to 2K dinner. Our sommelier definitely wasn't having a good day and he came by our table multiple times with the label covered and whispering the description; "what?!" was everyone's expression at our table after every wine. I actually recognized few of the wines and gave my friends the short spiel myself. He wasn't mean, he wasn't friendly, he was very vanilla HAHAHA Our server though, he was WONDERFUL; very attentive to everyone. The good! The soup, which was not on the tasting menu, was amazing! Of course the caviar parfait was delicious; that combo cannot go wrong. Hmm lobster potpie was good but I don't know if it was...delectable. Don't get me wrong, it was good but ... not as good as what I was expecting. This restaurant was on my bookmark forever and I'm glad I can cross it off but... yeah... *sigh* read more
