If im in the hotel again id return to eat here. Appetizers - scallops, focaccia bread. The scallops were a tad salty but the risotto was perfect. I was surprised there was no complimentary bread so we ordered the focaccia which was really good, but probably wouldnt order again as we full enough with main entrees. We decided to dine at Luchini before watching KÀ by Cirque du Soleil at the MGM Grand. I chose it primarily for convenience, but the menu and restaurant also looked very appealing. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation. The hostess had us step into the waiting area while our table was prepped. Once inside you almost forget you're in a casino. The ambiance is cozy and quiet. The decor is beautiful with deep hues of green against the rustic brick walls. We were seated in a large comfortable booth. We started with the warm House Focaccia. It was a tall version we had not seen before -- incredibly light and tender with a perfectly crisp crust topped with grated parmesan. It was so good dipped in the accompanying marinara. For our mains -- the Chicken Parmesan for the husband, Burrata Ravioli for the daughter and Seared Scallop (appetizer) for me. Lovely presentations and good portions. Everything was cooked well. Nice flavors overall. Service was a bit slow but very friendly. We had to leave for KÀ so there wasn't time to try dessert. Pricing is reasonable for a major casino restaurant. While visiting the restaurant/shopping area of the MGM complex I walked by a pizza place in the food court that didn't look very appetizing. So, later I walked by here, the Slice Shop at Luchini and the pizza looked much better. So, I opted for a slice of their daily special, which was a white pizza with chunks of chicken, fresno peppers, tomato, and garlic sauce. While waiting for my pizza, there were others in front of me waiting for theirs and watching the two ladies working behind the counter handling the pizza was quite comical, like an I Love Lucy episode. They dropped slices on the floor, kept slices in the oven too long and burned them, grabbed a hot pan and almost got burned - they probably either need better supervision or better training - or both! They piled three slices on top of each other for one customer who asked them why they did that, as the pizza will all stick together and then they asked "did you want it individual?" Unbelievable! When my slice finally came up, it looked pretty decent. But that was the most I can say positive about it - it was really bland, a few of the chicken pieces had fat/gristle on them, the fresno peppers hardly offered any flavor - Just a dull, boring pizza, but the crust was decent. I think Luchini is very solid. We had a party of 11 (of which 4 were rowdy pre-teen boys) and they managed it well. We started with the Caesar salad and the focaccia. Both were very good versions of the standard. The focaccia was very nice; it was rich and fluffy. I also got the spritz flight and they were all very good. I especially liked the Hugo spritz. I ordered the chicken parm, which I think is their specialty. It was REALLY good. The marinara sauce was very good and flavorful; full of fresh tomato flavor. The chicken parm was good: the breading was just the right thickness, and very crunchy. The chicken was tender and juicy; I think it may have been brined. I came to Luchini for dinner with a friend while staying at the MGM, and we had a great experience. The restaurant has a beautiful interior with dim lighting that created a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the service was excellent from beginning to end. If you're dining here, I highly recommend the Nonna's Summer Menu. For $45, you get an appetizer, side, and entrée, and you can add dessert for just $10 more. It was an amazing value, especially for the quality of the food. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and the shrimp vodka pasta was very rich and was very creamy but didn't have alot of flavor. They don't serve bread like most Italian restaurants. This is for the 2 go area. We didnt dine in the restaurant. Pizza was amazing! A great slice when the hunger pains hit. We saw a sign before arriving that said by two slices and get a free dessert. We asked the cashier who helped us out. The dessert was the cookie which was actually really good. We also loved the fact they give you hot honey to drizzle on your pizza. The to go area was clean while the sitting area was not. But it looked like there was just 1 person handling it all and when there is a consisted line, I cant blame him for a dirty bar counter. I really enjoyed my lamb bolognese and my husbands chicken parm was great. We stayed at the MGM Grand and had a dining credit so we decided to give Luchini a try. Luchini is delicious Italian food at what is a good price point for a restaurant at a casino on the Strip. We started off with the Fritto Misto. I had the Salmon all Puttanesca and ordered a size of glazed potatoes. The salmon was delicious, but the potatoes were outstanding - great crispness and a slight sweetness. We ended the night with a pistachio gelato - the serving size was huge and the gelato was fantastic. Our server was quite nice and attentive, but the food was kind of slow to come out considering the restaurant was only 3/4 full when we were there, but that would be my only complaint. read more

While the server was nice enough when bringing out a great birthday dessert for my daughter, a pleasant attitude can't overlook so many missed basic steps of service. We dined at Luchini last night after seeing KA. We were close to their last seating, so the restaurant was pretty empty. Matthew was our waiter--he greeted us promptly, asked if we'd dined there before (we hadn't), and gave us time to review the menu before taking our order. To start, we had the focaccia bread and the fritto misto. The bread was amazing--crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. The fritto misto was a generous portion for four people, and we couldn't finish it. For entrées: I had the chicken parmigiana, my mother-in-law ordered the chicken marsala, my husband had the burrata ravioli, and my cousin got the salmon alla puttanesca. The burrata ravioli was very good, but definitely on the smaller side--order a side if you're hungry. The salmon was average and felt like something you could get at a chain restaurant. The chicken parmigiana was the highlight of the meal--tender enough to cut with a fork, with plenty of sauce and cheese. The spaghetti on the side was just okay. Unfortunately, the chicken marsala was very disappointing. The chicken was thick when it should have been pounded thin, greasy, overcooked, and tough--you needed a steak knife to cut it. We let our waiter know, and to their credit, they removed it from the bill. The atmosphere was nice, but the music didn't match the vibe. We expected classic Italian crooners like Sinatra or Tony Bennett, but most of the night featured modern music. Oddly, the more fitting music played at the very end of our meal. Overall, I'd give Luchini 3 solid stars--some standout dishes, but a few misses that keep it from being a top-tier Italian spot. read more

The place overall was very modern in design, and with the televisions it had a pleasant and laid back vibe to it. They have gluten free substitutions for a lot of things. The main reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I had to sub pasta for the gluten free option which is only penne and it's extremely basic noodles. We didn't have the ability to try their noodles which are apparently handmade and fresh. The chicken Parmesan was great (not gluten free) and a huge portion. The bolognese sauce was very good so I'm sure it's even better on fresh pasta. The fried calamari and shrimp were very good as well and the sauce they come with has a slight kick. Service was quick and this food spot was convenient. We took it to watch the game at Losers Most Wanted Bar. This big slice was on a plate and in a paper bag. It had great flavor. The crust was crispy, pepperoni were curled up with grease in the center... this was a great way to spend almost $10!!! (Ouch!) This pizza was worth its money in flavor and quality easily. We just ordered the chicken parmigiana and the rigatoni and the food came out quick within 10 mins. The chicken parmigiana was a very healthy portion and came with spaghetti and was made perfectly, not too much breading, good amount of melted cheese and the sauce was tasty. My friends rigatoni was also on par with a fairly healthy tasty meal. Our family of 4, 2 kids ages 9 and 10, visited Luchini Italian Restaurant inside MGM Grand for dinner December 28, 2025. We had reservations and were seated right away. The space felt like a classic Italian bistro, very welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive from the start. It was an easy relaxed meal after a long day and never felt rushed. The food was the highlight. The Shrimp Scampi appetizer was excellent with a thick reduced sauce that was very garlicky and buttery with strong and intense flavors. The sauce was cooked down and packed a punch. The house bread was fantastic on its own; soft, thick and with a crunchy crust almost like Detroit style deep dish pizza, with a little tomato sauce and cheese on top. It paired really well with the Marinara Sauce which was balanced and not too acidic. Dipping the bread into the Shrimp Scampi sauce was delicious but almost overwhelming because of how rich it was. My wife and I split one order of the Shortrib Lasagna Pinwheels. They were very savory and rich. My wife's' portion had slightly dry crunchy edges but mine were perfect so we swapped and it worked out. The kids meals were a big win. Ethan loved his plain pasta (not on the menu)and Addy loved her Spaghetti Napoleta so much that she asked the server to pass along compliments to the chef. Portion sizes are generous and we were completely full by the end. We skipped dessert simply because we could not eat another bite. From a kid standpoint this was an easy and comfortable dinner. Familiar pasta options friendly service and a calm environment made it stress free. Overall Luchini Italian Restaurant at MGM Grand delivered bold flavorful Italian comfort food in a relaxed family friendly setting and exceeded expectations for a Strip resort restaurant. We walked by here a few times during our stay and it looked good so we decided to give it a go. We had just had Italian the night before at a place further down the strip. But we were with another couple and needed a spot close. We had a little bit of a wait with a few tables open but figured they may have been short staffed. No problem. Our busboy was lovely. Very quick to get us started and clearing dishes after the appetizer. Our server - different story. He seemed like he was annoyed from the beginning. He rattled off suggestions while looking elsewhere. He didn't interact with us much past the basics. The food was good. Seemed a little pricey for the serving size but - it's Las Vegas so we expect that. Bread really shouldn't be an option at an Italian restaurant. If you're staying at the MGM and need a good meal, this is a nice option. Will we come back - I'd like to say yes. But we know of other Italian restaurants that would be our choice over this. It really does come down to service. It can make a decision pretty quickly. read more
