Oscars is the best! Have frequented here a number of times. The addition of the indoor/outdoor patio is amazing! We ordered filets medium rare with creamed spinach and side of the Parmesan risotto. That is not a listed side but John, our waiter, hooked us up. John was an excellent waiter as was Gabby, his helper. Karla, the manager, came by our table and greeted us and was polite and thanked us for visiting. The weather for April was so beautiful and the Fremont view was lovely. We got dirty martinis and they were so good with bleu cheese olives. We also ordered a bottle of Petite Sirah that went well with the steaks. And espresso martinis for dessert. Steak was cooked to perfection and my sister, who was with me, said she had dreams of the risotto! She said it was the best risotto she has ever had!! It was such a lovely night and it was a Tuesday so it wasn't super busy so we sat there for a couple of hours. It was leisurely and we were not pressured to leave. The new booths and tables outside were nice. I like the round tops that seat 4. Nice touch, instead of the traditional square four top. John was fun and witty!!! love, love, love Oscars!!!!

Went here for my birthday dinner our last night in Vegas and it didn't disappoint! Although the service was just a smidge too slow everything was pretty amazing. My group of four were seated at a round banquette under the glass dome with a view of Fremont Street. We all had a cocktail and shared a glass of wine. We were able to get a reasonably priced bottle so we were very happy with that. The sommelier was very friendly and accommodating. Not at all snooty . Three of us shared a strip steak- perfectly cooked and sliced for us . We also shared a chopped salad, a Caesar salad , baked and mashed potatoes. It was all delicious. At the end they brought a little cake for my birthday. Very thoughtful and tasty!

Our first time visiting Oscar's and it did not disappoint! The ambience is so cool here with the lights and surprisingly, I was able to take nice photos in the semi dark lighting. Our server, Nick, was excellent with a face and smile like an actor straight out of the Casino movie! Out of everything we ordered from the scallops, steak, wedge salad, meatballs, burger and the ravioli, the braised beef ravioli was the best. An explosion of flavor in your mouth and you'll be thinking about it days later. The steaks not the best we had but it's fine. I thought it would be a little more formal when we arrived but there's people dressed in jeans and caps. We will be back again when we are in the downtown area. Great vibes and nice to dine in.

My visiting family wanted to go here for happy hour, so we went. I have not been to this in awhile, and the last time I was here, the nonnas meatballs were so off putting I swore to never come back. We ordered the ceasars salad, meatballs, French fries and glasses of happy hour red wine. Clearly things have improved as the food is much better than before. The ambience was nice, and our server was top notch. I will now be back if the quality keeps at this level.

Visited Oscars again for my anniversary because this is my wife's favorite place. Went back and Oscars remains one of the best if not the best steakhouse in Vegas. The steak is always consistent on flavor and the lobster bisque is the best or one of the best ever that we have eaten. The service is always amazing the ambiance overlooking Fremont street and old school Vegas steakhouse feel is always amazing to experience! Thanks Oscars once again making our anniversary special!

This has got to be hands-down the best steakhouse I have ever eaten at! So on Monday afternoon, we decided to pop in and eat here for the second time. I know the first time was pretty good and I loved my filet mignon this time we had the ribeye bone in and for the second time this place was amazing. I officially can say that for now this is my most favorite steakhouse in Las Vegas. I've only been to about seven of them, but this is definitely my favorite. Everything was wonderful from the lobster bisque to the broccolini and of course the ribeye steak was just fabulous. I definitely recommend Eating at Oscar's. You will not be disappointed. The best thing is to make reservations, but honestly, we walked in on Monday and had no issue sitting in the bar area with a fabulous seat and views!

Had a great night out at Oscar's Steakhouse in downtown Las Vegas. We ordered Sal's Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Cardini's Caesar, and Oscar's 24oz bone-in ribeye, and everything was good overall with classic steakhouse dishes done well. The complimentary bread was also a highlight, which is super fluffy and buttery. We also tried The Hizzoner (what the mayor drinks), but would note it's very strong with 4oz of vodka. Service was very friendly and welcoming, though a little on the slower side. Overall, a nice steakhouse experience in a fun, old-school Vegas setting.

Short rib ravioli - sounds yummy but it was extremely salty. I wonder if that's why the table next to us had theirs comped? Hmmm..

Dinner for 2, we got a tiny table on the patio that was uneven so it kept rocking. The server was nice, the hostess was not friendly at all, the guy who brought our food out basically slid the plates onto our table and left. The drinks (Moscow Mules) were basic, presentation wise, but tasted fine, nothing to write home about or post on IG. Ordered medium well filet mignon, very dry. Appetizer we ordered was the short rib ravioli, I had high expectations which were not met, it was extremely salty. All in all, I wouldn't go back, Including tip for 2 people we paid $330+ (no dessert). For that much, I expect much more, like a table that doesn't rock, a table with more room, top of the line service across the board, excellent food presentation & taste, this was not the case at all.

Chose Oscar's for my birthday because of the reputation -- the "Casino" history, the legacy, the high-profile image. The reality was different. I had half my steak on the plate and was asked multiple times if I was finished. Not checked on -- asked if I was done. Repeatedly. The table next to us was offered complimentary drinks at the bar in exchange for giving up their table. That tells you everything. For a steakhouse that leans heavily on prestige and nostalgia, the experience felt transactional and rushed. At this price point, guests shouldn't feel like table inventory. The steak was fine. The view is great. The hospitality did not match the branding. Not the birthday dinner I expected.

4.8 out of 5 -- Absolute Vegas Classic Oscar's Steakhouse at the Plaza Hotel & Casino on Fremont Street is everything a classic Vegas steakhouse should be -- iconic, elegant, and executed flawlessly. From the moment you walk in, the view, ambiance, food, and service are all amazing across the board. This place lives up to its reputation and then some. Our server John was outstanding -- knowledgeable, attentive, and dialed in. He gave great recommendations and kept our cocktails full all night, which is exactly how Vegas dining should feel. We kicked things off with Dirty Shirleys made with Tito's (of course) -- refreshing and perfectly balanced. Bread and butter followed: the bread was good, but the butter was soft, rich, and absolutely delicious. Starters were on point: NO NOSE'S Mob Meatballs with whipped ricotta -- classic, rich, and full of flavor Quinn's Crab Cake with stone-ground mustard and citrus -- light, fresh, and beautifully done For mains, it just kept getting better: Herb-crusted lamb chops with an incredible sauce -- tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked Manny's 9oz Cap Steak -- hands down one of the best cuts of beef you can get. Honestly? Better than Australian Wagyu and even some Japanese Wagyu I've had. Absolute showstopper. Oscar's is a famous Vegas spot for a reason -- they even filmed scenes from Casino here. The views are out of this world, the vibe is old-school Vegas, and the experience is unforgettable. A must-visit when you're in Las Vegas. Love this place. IG TheFoodie.99 oscarssteakhouselv

Here last night for dinner. Absolutely gorgeous view from our booth looking out at the sparkling lights. Dinner was outstanding. Kansas City strip, lobster mac, asparagus and the Oscars salad. One of the best dinners I have ever had. A 7pm reservation was perfect with the sun going down and then a gorgeous night view. Recommend, recommend, recommend.

Restaurant is in the Plaza. Upstairs by the wedding chapel, bingo, and conference rooms. Left of Hash House A Go Go, up the escalator. We walked, so not sure about the parking situation. Hours are 17:00-22:00 and Happy Hour (HH) from 17:00-19:00. We came in right when they opened and in good time. By the time we left, most seating areas were full. Made reservations on Open Table for the patio, but overheard the host tell another party that Happy Hour is only in the bar area (bar, high tops, and a few booths). We opted for the bar area, but this was not mentioned on the website nor on OT. - House Wines HH $9/glass All are Peltier; Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sparkling Wine. All good, believe me I had all three lol. - Caesar Salad HH $8 Fresh, salty, spicy from the ground black pepper, excellent croutons. Wished it was a bigger portion, but maybe the regular portion is larger. - Oysters HH $3/ea Delish, perfect sizes, all the fixings. We didn't order many, 4 total, so maybe the presentation didn't need to be so big, no complaints though. - No Nose's Meatballs HH $12 Comes with two - smaller than baseballs, bigger than golfballs. These were sooo good. Soft but kept their shape while you cut them with a butter knife. We ate them with the dinner rolls. - Dinner Rolls no charge Pull apart, soft on the inside, nice crust on the outside. Generous portion of butter topped with shredded cheese. - Steak Fries HH $9 Topped with parm and parsley, but not much. Thick and long pieces, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Served with a side of ketchup, very simple. We requested for them to come out with the steak, like steak frites. - 18oz Kansas City Strip - Dry Aged $81 Perfect medium, thick cut on the bone. No mention of how long the dry aged process, but mild funk, so maybe 30 days? Lightly season so the flavor of the meat came out. We shared, so the chef pre-sliced the plate for us. - Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie $15, with vanilla A La Mode $4 Everything you could ever want in a chocolate chip cookie (unless you like them thin and crunchy, then this isn't for you lol). Warm and gooey with a thin crust, served in a cast iron skillet. Traditional ice cream; options of vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry. There is a 15 minute wait, so keep that in mind when thinking about your timing.

Oscar's Steakhouse Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Oscar's Steakhouse

Wondering if they can handle a table of 12 guys in their 50's without their wives who come to LV every August to hold their Fantasy Football draft? Maybe outside on the patio?

I would think this type of booking is right up their alley. In fact, while I was there, I saw a table of guys -- not as large, but at least 6-8 guys -- having that exact type of experience. I would go ahead and call. I thought the food was great.

    Are there any specials?

We were not told about any so I'm not 100% sure if they do

Is there a television to watch Monday night football?

Yes, behind the bar there are muktiple TVs. Also during this time it will be Happy Hour so you're in luck! Get the meatballs!!

    Is there a corkage fee?

Yes, there's a corkage fee. I think $25 but not sure.

Thinking of taking my wife in October. I see there is reservations which is nice. Is there a way to reserve a table for the window like Top of the World restaurant?

I believe so! I called and reserved a booth which automatically put us in the window section you are referring to. Cool view. Just specify on your online reservation in the notes 😊

Best place to park? Or is valet free with dinner?

There's a parking lot adjacent to the hotel that says Oscars. It's free parking and you walk right into the hotel to go to the restaurant!

What's an Oscar on the compliments part of the menu?

An accompaniment of crab with bernaise sauce for the steak

    Are the steaks dry aged?

No, our steaks are not dry aged.

What is the best table to sit at?

A table facing the window showing the light show across the street

Can I make reservation for 1?

    Yes

    Under 21 allowed in?

As far as I know YES they are allowed in. It's a restaurant. It's at the Plaza not the Circa which is a 21 and over property.

Are thy still closed on monday-wednesday?

    Yes

Is there a wine menu available online?

Yes, they have an extensive wine list.

Is all night happy hour only in the bar or is it available anywhere in the restaurant?

    Bar only 5-7pm

    Do I need reservations?

It's a really good idea unless you go when they open at 5 and have just a couple of people

Is there still a happy hour with the updated covid open hours?

Yes, the Happy Hour details can be found on this page: https://www.plazahotelcasino.com/dining/oscars-steakhouse/

I don't dress up that often or should I say all all. Would it be acceptable to wear a nice pair of jeans and dress shirt or polo?

    Yup.

    What is the corkage fee?

    I'm not sure.

Are kids allowed in this restaurant?

    Yes.

Typical cost of dinner for two?

Go to their website and the menu lists all the prices for apps and entrees. Since I have no idea what you would eat there, I cannot I've a general answer. However the menu will let you know exactly where you'll be price wise without tip and tax,… Read more

The highlight of this evening was this hidden speakeasy cocktail bar inside the Bellagio!…read more Paisley greeted us as we entered The Vault and let us know that without a reservation we only had the option of seats at the bar. We've have awesome experiences watching bartenders before AND we were determined to stay so we happily agreed. Paisley was a delight to chat with as we waited for only 10 minutes while seats opened up for us at the bar. I also got to check out the restroom, which boasts a high tech toilet with automated opening/flushing and a heated seat! We had the pleasure of meeting Michael our bartender and Yesi the bartender apprentice, and regulars Bill and Kim from Texas on one side of us, and Mario from California on the other as we spent the next hour and half savoring one luxury cocktail each and some complimentary snacks (seasoned pistachio nuts, cheesy crackers, and a little amazing bite that I can't remember the ingredients of). Welcome complimentary drinks: "Key to my heart" -- fun little rum drinks to start off with served in a spherical black case surrounded by dry ice! (See video). A bit sweet for my taste but tasty and just a little shot's worth (to be sipped). Cocktails: La Vie En Rose: (5/5) Rose infused gin, house made strawberry infused sweet vermouth, aperol, orange essence. Gorgeous spherical ice cube with a real flower frozen inside). Described as a summer Negroni. I chose it because I love Negronis and am always up for trying a variation on a classic like that. The Fountain (5/5): bourbon, Punt e mes vermouth (55 year old bottle!), orange essence. The Vault's take on the classic Manhattan. Michael gave us a taste of the punt e mes sweet vermouth and it was sublime. Both spectacular cocktails were definitely made for sipping and savoring. And to top it off! Little espresso shots at the end....mmm delectable dessert my bites to complete a flawless experience. We'll be back! Michael is a masterful mixologist and Yesi is an awesome apprentice! Highly recommend!

The only hint I'll give is that it's located on the casino floor. When we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess. She asked us if we had reservations or were walking in. I really appreciated this because the way she phrased her question told me they had availability and we would be granted entry. The bar is very small and seats about 30. Reservations are strongly encouraged, however we went on a Monday in February. If you're going on a weeknight during off peak season, you should be okay without a reservation. The hostess gave us the option of sitting at the bar or at a table. We asked her for her rec and she said the bar so that's what we chose. The decor is beautiful. The ambiance is dark and moody. It's perfect for a date night. We were greeted by both bartenders. I believe the bartender that made our drinks was Rory. He was very nice and knowledgeable about cocktails. He was able to answer our questions and make suggestions based on our preferences. As we browsed the menu, we were presented with welcome drinks in a fancy smoky container. I don't recall the name of the drink, but it had a lychee flavor with a sugar rim and it was good! Drinks are extremely pricey which is to be expected in Vegas. It's also on par based on where the speakeasy is located (hint hint). The cheapest cocktail was $30 so prepare yourself for the sticker shock. Some drinks were $80-$100! Sometimes you just have to treat yourself. I went with the Velvet Moon which was an interesting cocktail consisting of both gin and mezcal. It had flavors of hibiscus and it also had egg white which I absolutely love! The presentation was beautiful and I really enjoyed it! My friend went with the Basilico Bliss which he enjoyed. I didn't try any, but it looked really good. As we were enjoying our drinks, the staff presented us with savory bar snacks. They were tasty and were a perfect compliment to our cocktails. They do have food on the menu, but we had already eaten so we stuck with our complimentary snacks. As we were closing out, the staff presented us with a complimentary mini dessert. Rory described it as a Carajillo Jello shot. I don't like jello (I hate the texture), but I do love Carajillos. My friend does not drink coffee and does not like coffee flavor, so I ate both of them. They were so delicious (but the texture was off putting lol). I typically don't mention the restrooms in my reviews, but this one is worth mentioning. All I have to say is heated seats with a bidet! We really enjoyed our visit. Had the drinks not been so pricey, we probably would have stayed longer. If you enjoy speakeasies and/or craft cocktails, go have a drink at The Vault! The experience alone is worth it!
