Located inside the Plaza Hotel. We came for their great Happy Hour and got a nice view of Fremont Street. Themed after former Vegas mayor and mob-attorney Osar Goodman. Our server Mercy had such a wonderful smile and was so welcoming! It was so nice to be so welcomed. The Oscar's Famous Burger was delicious, and we also enjoyed Sal's Shrimp Cocktail. We loved the ambiance with the 50's music, the decor and vibes; we got the feel of mafia-Vegas. We definitely want to return for their steaks and their smiling staff. read more

We were staying at this hotel for vacation and decided to visit the steakhouse. Great service from our waiter, he gave great recommendations A5 Japanese Wagyu: 5/5. My first Japanese wagyu experience and oh my god. So worth it. It is quite pricey (at the time I went market price was ~$225 for 5 oz) but worth it. 5 oz is the perfect amount because it's so rich. I got bordelaise on the side but didn't even use it. The sauce that comes with it is perfect. Mac and cheese: 3.5/5. Very cheesy and tasty. Could've had more seasoning but I'm very picky on Mac and cheese. Brussel sprouts: 3/5. Crispy and seasoned. Mushrooms: 3/5. Cooked mushrooms, nothing impressive but a nice addition to a steak dinner. read more

Oscar's is a throwback to Old Vegas where the ambiance is wonderful and people dress up for dinner...but the similarities end there. The food was adequate overall, but disappointing for the price point...medium rare seems to be beyond their abilities. The service was shockingly neglectful and reminding or signaling your waiter multiple times may be required. Don't expect interaction with management either. Oscar's is definitely playing Single-A ball in the Majors. The upside: Fantastic Gin and Tonic...one of the best I've ever had. The downside: Almost everything else. If you're going to spend $600+ on dinner, go elsewhere. read more

This restaurant is a V-I-B-E ! Even before we got up the escalator to step into the Steakhouse, the delicious aromas permeated our noses and made our mouthes water even more! We were warmly greeted as soon as we made contact with the hostess and were seated promptly. From my understanding, this restaurant can get busy, so make a reservation. Our server was great and checked on us frequently. Ended up ordering the Tomahawk Steak and Macaroni and Mashed Potatoes a la carte. For starters, we opted for Oscars's Chopped Salad which had a nice pairing of flavors, and of course I had to top it off with a fresh sprinkling of cracked black pepper. The tomahawk has a good char, but honestly I was expecting more flavor; it was good nevertheless. The macaroni was the star of the show and I am thinking about going back just for that, haha! The potatoes were creamy, buttery, and delicious, and made the perfect pairing alongside that perfect bite of steak. We did not order alcohol or dessert as we wanted to have a memorable experience with savory cuisine. Everything, including the ambiance, exceeded our expectations, and will most definitely be back. Side note - this restaurant was featured in the movie "Casino". read more

I came here to celebrate my birthday and it was nothing but a memorable experience. If I could give 20 stars o would! It's very old school and such a beautiful restaurant overlooking Fremont Street I had reservations at 5 P.M. and was seated immediately by the window. Service was exceptional! Every single person was beyond attentive and so nice! I was brought out a birthday card with signature from all the employees. The food..... I've been to many upscale restaurants and let me say that this is hands down best! Every single item we ordered was so flavorful and delicious. My salmon was THE BEST one I've ever had! It was a nice portion and every bite was so flavorful. The wedge salad was big and delicious. Crab cake 10/10 Our sides were mashed potatoes and lobster Mac n cheese 20/10 ! So creamy and bomb! Perfection! They brought me out a chocolate mousse cake and all of us had a taste and agreed it was so light and perfect. The cheep was also excellent. Thank you Oscar's for making my birthday dinner one of The best ones so far! I can't wait to eat here again. read more

Had rooftop dining the other night at Oscar's and it was fun! We were right across from the Fremont Experience. Service was attentive and so friendly. The food was very good. Soft Brioche rolls with a pot of butter topped with flaky salt were served immediately. French onion soup was super cheesy and gooey, croutons still had some crispy edges which was so good. Pan seared snapper was done well. Prime rib was a bit under seasoned for our taste but still pretty good. Asparagus on the side were crisp tender. Everything was well done and prices are more reasonable than a strip steak house so I cannot complain. read more

My family and friends went to Oscar's to celebrate my son's 6th birthday while some of our friends were visiting from out of town. My friends were the ones who suggested eating here as they have gone twice before and were never disappointed. The ambiance is elegant, but we still felt completely comfortable bringing younger kids. We were seated at a table for five adults and two children in the center of one of the dining areas beneath the beautiful glass dome. It was such a unique spot with great views all around us. One thing we definitely noticed was the air conditioning...it was blasting! It kept the restaurant so cool that you'd never guess it was summertime in Las Vegas. It was actually so strong that my daughter and I had our hair blowing into our faces while we were sitting there! We ended up asking if they could turn it down a bit because we and also my son were getting cold. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. Every dish came out exactly as expected, and everyone in our group was impressed with their meals. I was also surprised to learn they offer Happy Hour every day! I included a photo of the Happy Hour menu along with pictures of the food we ordered. They also validate parking, although when we visited last week, the Plaza Hotel & Casino was offering complimentary parking anyway. The service was more than exceptional. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. They helped make my son's birthday celebration feel special without ever making us feel rushed, and set at the table when we arrived was a card with birthday messages from the staff! They even surprised him with a birthday dessert! I would definitely recommend Oscar's Steakhouse for a special occasion, a date night, or even just a great steak dinner. We had a wonderful experience and are already looking forward to our next visit! read more

Oscar's Steakhouse has been on my list forever and I have finally tried it this time around. Came for an early dinner, for which we made reservations for a party of six. We also ordered a few appetizers and a few mains to share between all of us. For our appetizers, we ordered two crab cakes, two meatballs, and a calamari dish. I liked crab cakes and also calamari. For the main dishes, we got one prime rib, two rib eyes, and a beef-style stew. The rib eye was my favorite and I would say this is the one I would get again. The prime rib is the same style as many of the old-school casino-style prime ribs. So if you like it that way you will like this one as well. We also got a side of mashed potatoes and a tasty corn dish! Service was spot on and overall felt like we got pretty good service. read more

I was able to book last minute in a Saturday night. What a disappointment. The hostess barely looked at us and had a smile. We were able to be sat early and quickly. The service here was very poor. The waitress, Arianna?, took a long time to get our order. She did the minimal of checking in on us. With a table kf 6, our eater gladded were empty. She filled up other tables around us but didnt think to fill out. We waited a long time to her out check since she didn't bother coming to check on us after we got food. Once we got the check, someone else had to pick up the check because it took awhile for her to come back. I wouldnt consider this place a fine dining steakhouse. Sure the view is nice but is very loud. There was multiple tables screaming due to a game our singling happy birthday obnoxiously. The main reason we came was to eat a good steak. The steak was mediocre. All 3 steaks needed to have a bit more salt. It was more on the bland side. The calamari and ceaser salad were good though. We were celebrating a few birthdays and a little complimentary desserts would have been nice. Will not be coming back. read more

I've tried almost everything on the menu. Tonight I had the pleasure of trying the tomahawk steak! So tender and flavorful. Although this is a steakhouse, one of my favorite dishes is the boneless chicken. The skin is crispy and savory and the meat is tender and moist. We're always treated with respect and friendliness from the entire staff. We love Oscar's! Thank you again for treating us to a wonderful dining experience and view at Fremont Street. read more

We had dinner at Oscar's after hearing a lot of great things from locals, and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. It's located on 2nd floor of Plaza Hotel, look for escalator. Reservations highly recommended. From the moment you walk-in, makes you feel like you stepped back in history. Ambiance, decor and memorabilia photo displays are classics and pays homage to Las Vegas of yesteryears. We sat in main dining room (aka glass dome) next to window which had great view of Fremont Street. Their delicious dinner rolls with soft butter set evening in motion. Brioche type rolls were soft and lightly salted, it was gone instantly. Loved it! We were impressed with Khameleon Cabernet Sauvignon wine that we got with our meal. Bold yet, smooth and delicious. Got 2nd bottle, couldn't resist. Pork belly and dozen oysters appetizers were amazing. Both were highly recommended by our waiter. Pork belly was lightly sweet and succulent. Oyster came with 3 types of sauces - horseradish, cocktail sauce and vinaigrette. For main, we got Bone-in ribeye and Filet Mignon. Steaks were cooked to a perfect medium and were outstanding. I usually don't put sauce on my steak, but the Bordelaise sauce we ordered on the side really enhances the flavor of the meat. We enjoyed all the sides - crispy brussel sprouts, glazed mushrooms, creamed corn and broccolini were good. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake which was rich and yummy. Service is 5 stars - Very attentive, and friendly servers who know the menu very well. Glad we tried this old school spot, definitely lived up to the hype. read more

We came here to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday with a group of 12, and unfortunately, this was one of the worst decisions we made this weekend. We chose this place because we expected a nice, upscale ambiance based on the previous reviews. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. The atmosphere felt very casual and loud, with people talking loudly and even kids crying. The hosts were also dressed very casually, which did not match the upscale experience we were expecting. Our waiter, Gregory, was wonderful and honestly the highlight of our experience. He provided great service and was very attentive. Unfortunately, the food was only about a 6/10. The mashed potatoes tasted very buttery and almost like they came from a box, and the bread was extremely dry. For the prices, there are definitely other restaurants that offer much better food and value. Even the drinks at Yard House are much better, in my opinion. What really ruined the evening, however, was our experience with the manager, Karla. While our group was singing "Happy Birthday" to my husband, Karla interrupted us and told my friend to keep the celebration down. We had seen at least five other parties celebrate birthdays before us, and they were very loud, so we genuinely thought it was okay to celebrate as well. When we explained to her that we felt the way she approached us was rude--especially because she interrupted our celebration and ended up appearing in our video during my husband's special birthday moment--she became very upset and called security. We were not causing a scene, refusing to leave, or doing anything inappropriate. We had also spent approximately $1,400 at the restaurant. When you spend that kind of money to celebrate a special occasion, you expect good service, a welcoming atmosphere, and professionalism. Unfortunately, we did not receive that. Karla's behavior was extremely unprofessional and completely unnecessary. She made an already disappointing experience even worse. I'm honestly not sure why she is a manager, because the way she handled the situation was not what I would expect from someone in a management position. I was really excited to visit this restaurant because of the reviews, but unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations. In comparison, I would choose Yard House any day for the food, drinks, atmosphere, and overall experience. Very disappointing, especially on my husband's 50th birthday. We came to celebrate and have a great evening with our family and friends, and unfortunately, the experience left us wishing we had chosen somewhere else. read more

Look, Oscars is everything I want in a good steakhouse. The decor is classy, clean, sharp. Now as far as high-end steakhouse decor, you can find a touch nicer, still I really enjoyed it. ,Enough that I came two nights in a row. Is it pricey? Yeah.. Vegas pricey. But is fun. Really fun. You get a window seat it has a great view to people watch on Fremont street. And the food was good. The scallops, Lobster and Dry Aged steak were great! Really enjoyed them. Shrimp were a tad overcooked but not unenjoyable. Overall, its what I wanted when I came here. read more

Was great- friendly and attentive with good suggestions from the menu The filet was good but nothing special, the side dishes were large enough to share,we also tried their famous short rib ravioli as an appetizer and that was good but very rich I'd skip the brussel sprouts next time- too many and a little too charred for my liking however the asparagus was great as was the baked potato We shared a bottle of wine on their special list which was good value for money The dome seating feels like you are outside with a fantastic view of Fremont street - try to get a window seat if available! Great experience again, the views from the restaurant of the downtown is awesome at night, seating is roomy and you don't feel cramped. Waiter was excellent and had good recommendations, took care to make my sisters bday feel special, she liked the wine and asked to get a pic of the bottle so she could get it later, he went in back and got the bottle for her to snap Food was excellent had French onion last trip, lobster bisque this time, tough choice both are excellent, large lobster pieces in a tasty soup. Sides are more than enough to share, consider splitting a main if you're with someone, unless you are really hungry. Prime rib was cook medium just like I requested, it was the thickest I've ever been severed, horseradish sauce was good, a little stronger would be better, I want my nose dripping from eating it, for normal people it'll be really good Little chocolate moose cake they presented for my sisters bday was tasty and a nice touch, very rich and white chocolate shaving on top tasted awesome Recommend reservations, they do book up, in December we couldn't add 2 people to our reservation 2 days out. read more

Our first time visiting Oscar's and it did not disappoint! The ambience is so cool here with the lights and surprisingly, I was able to take nice photos in the semi dark lighting. Our server, Nick, was excellent with a face and smile like an actor straight out of the Casino movie! Out of everything we ordered from the scallops, steak, wedge salad, meatballs, burger and the ravioli, the braised beef ravioli was the best. An explosion of flavor in your mouth and you'll be thinking about it days later. The steaks not the best we had but it's fine. We were able to get a reasonably priced bottle so we were very happy with that. The sommelier was very friendly and accommodating. Not at all snooty . Oscars is an iconic steakhouse with a deep historical connection. Sitting above the carousel looking at the Fremont experience is cool. We started with wine and drinks which were very good. I enjoyed my red. My wife had oysters and she really enjoyed them. I had a filet and it was very good. Cooked to my temperature request and well seasoned. We also had steak fries which were good (crispy) although it comes with cheese on top so know to ask for it without if you like. The asparagus was ok. The complimentary bread was also a highlight, which is super fluffy and buttery. We also tried The Hizzoner (what the mayor drinks), but would note it's very strong with 4oz of vodka. My husband has always wanted to go to Oscar's so we decided to give it a try on our latest trip to Vegas - an early celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary. This is a beautiful restaurant with amazing views of Fremont Street. Very lovely, upscale interiors, white table clothes, etc. Since it's a steakhouse, I was expecting the typical dim lighting, but the restaurant was light and orientated toward the views. For our meal, we started with oysters on the half shell and Ceasar salad. I had the ribeye cap and mushrooms. My husband opted for a crab cake, guessing correctly that he'd also help me eat my steak. Our server, Gligor, steered us well toward menu items and drinks. We finished up our meal with a hot chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. This was a very enjoyable dining experience. It felt fancy and celebratory, not stuffy, and classic without being old/ too vintage. It's a higher price point, but in the worth it category for me. read more

Chose Oscar's for my birthday because of the reputation -- the "Casino" history, the legacy, the high-profile image. The reality was different. I had half my steak on the plate and was asked multiple times if I was finished. Not checked on -- asked if I was done. Repeatedly. The table next to us was offered complimentary drinks at the bar in exchange for giving up their table. That tells you everything. For a steakhouse that leans heavily on prestige and nostalgia, the experience felt transactional and rushed. At this price point, guests shouldn't feel like table inventory. The steak was fine. The view is great. The hospitality did not match the branding. Not the birthday dinner I expected. read more

4.8 out of 5 -- Absolute Vegas Classic Oscar's Steakhouse at the Plaza Hotel & Casino on Fremont Street is everything a classic Vegas steakhouse should be -- iconic, elegant, and executed flawlessly. From the moment you walk in, the view, ambiance, food, and service are all amazing across the board. This place lives up to its reputation and then some. Our server John was outstanding -- knowledgeable, attentive, and dialed in. He gave great recommendations and kept our cocktails full all night, which is exactly how Vegas dining should feel. We kicked things off with Dirty Shirleys made with Tito's (of course) -- refreshing and perfectly balanced. Bread and butter followed: the bread was good, but the butter was soft, rich, and absolutely delicious. Starters were on point: NO NOSE'S Mob Meatballs with whipped ricotta -- classic, rich, and full of flavor Quinn's Crab Cake with stone-ground mustard and citrus -- light, fresh, and beautifully done For mains, it just kept getting better: Herb-crusted lamb chops with an incredible sauce -- tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked Manny's 9oz Cap Steak -- hands down one of the best cuts of beef you can get. Honestly? Better than Australian Wagyu and even some Japanese Wagyu I've had. Absolute showstopper. Oscar's is a famous Vegas spot for a reason -- they even filmed scenes from Casino here. The views are out of this world, the vibe is old-school Vegas, and the experience is unforgettable. A must-visit when you're in Las Vegas. Love this place. One of my fav steak houses, not just in Vegas. We ate here for 4 July. Reservations outside during the fireworks. It did not disappoint!! Staff remembered us from our previous visit and treated us very warmly. Fireworks started shortly after we received our salad. Fremont was Crazy during the fireworks. The building kinda blocked them, but we both felt this was an excellent vantage point of the Plaza Fireworks. Standing you could also see some of the fireworks from the strip near Strat. Situated across from Fremont Street in old Vegas, Oscar's is a great second story steakhouse with a classy feel and solid food. We split the porterhouse and tomahawk along with Brussels sprouts and creamed corn. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The steaks had a decent amount of fat but that comes with certain cuts and is to be expected. Our server was very kind, joked around with us throughout the night, and made the whole experience that much better. Split four ways with a bottle of wine, it came out to about $90 per person. For the price and what you get it is definitely worth a visit. There are better steak places in the area, and certainly worse ones, but Oscar's holds its own and I would recommend it. read more

Restaurant is in the Plaza. Upstairs by the wedding chapel, bingo, and conference rooms. Left of Hash House A Go Go, up the escalator. We walked, so not sure about the parking situation. Hours are 17:00-22:00 and Happy Hour (HH) from 17:00-19:00. We came in right when they opened and in good time. By the time we left, most seating areas were full. Made reservations on Open Table for the patio, but overheard the host tell another party that Happy Hour is only in the bar area (bar, high tops, and a few booths). We opted for the bar area, but this was not mentioned on the website nor on OT. - House Wines HH $9/glass All are Peltier; Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sparkling Wine. All good, believe me I had all three lol. - Caesar Salad HH $8 Fresh, salty, spicy from the ground black pepper, excellent croutons. Wished it was a bigger portion, but maybe the regular portion is larger. - Oysters HH $3/ea Delish, perfect sizes, all the fixings. We didn't order many, 4 total, so maybe the presentation didn't need to be so big, no complaints though. - No Nose's Meatballs HH $12 Comes with two - smaller than baseballs, bigger than golfballs. These were sooo good. Soft but kept their shape while you cut them with a butter knife. We ate them with the dinner rolls. - Dinner Rolls no charge Pull apart, soft on the inside, nice crust on the outside. Generous portion of butter topped with shredded cheese. - Steak Fries HH $9 Topped with parm and parsley, but not much. Thick and long pieces, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Served with a side of ketchup, very simple. We requested for them to come out with the steak, like steak frites. - 18oz Kansas City Strip - Dry Aged $81 Perfect medium, thick cut on the bone. No mention of how long the dry aged process, but mild funk, so maybe 30 days? Lightly season so the flavor of the meat came out. We shared, so the chef pre-sliced the plate for us. - Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie $15, with vanilla A La Mode $4 Everything you could ever want in a chocolate chip cookie (unless you like them thin and crunchy, then this isn't for you lol). Warm and gooey with a thin crust, served in a cast iron skillet. Traditional ice cream; options of vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry. There is a 15 minute wait, so keep that in mind when thinking about your timing. read more

We had a decent meal here. But we were expecting a really good meal. We had an early reservation and I thought we would sit on the large patio, but Vegas was having a cold snap and it was pretty dark and cold out there... so inside it was. The dining room filled up but the bar area was really hopping and it gets loud in there. Service was solicitious and helpful. I'm a sucker for a seafood tower, so we got the small version ($95), as my SO is less a fan. It was pretty disappointing actually. The seafood all tasted mostly of water - all very mushy and not that "fresh" taste you want. I think it was also maybe missing a good sauce - it had cocktail, a mignotte for the oysters and some horseradish... maybe a creamy mayo/mustard for the crab would have helped? But nothing was really delicious. I would skip this for sure. While we had heard lots of good things about their crab cakes, our waiter steered us towards the glazed pork belly appetizer ($19). We should have gotten the crab cake. The pork belly again was OK, but nothing spectacular and I wouldn't order this again. My partner's NY Strip was good but again, there are no shortage of good and even great steaks in Las Vegas. I'm glad we visited this downtown institution, but I don't think we'll come back. Life is too short to waste on not great seafood towers! read more

This experience was outstanding. The restaurant is so beautiful, and the service was spectacular. They fill your water constantly, and replace your plates/silverware between each course. Now the food... We got the Cesar salad, Dry aged Kansas strip, Australian lobster tail, Brussels sprouts, and fries. I would probably give the Brussels an 8/10, everything else was 10/10 spectacular. The steak melted in your mouth. The lobster was the best I've ever had. The sides were surprisingly large, so I would probably get 1 next time(the fries.) We also got the skillet cookie... what a perfect ending to a spectacular dinner. Well worth the money, can't wait to eat here again. read more
