Had a great experience. My printer was not being recognized by my wireless in-home network and I had a few smaller issues. Time was an issue, due to it being tax day. Dave showed up in less than 30 minutes and within an hour all my issues were resolved. The price was reasonable and he explained everything to me. Wow, my faith in Yelp reviews has been totally shaken. Jer offered a more than 50% discount if I would review on Facebook, Google+ and Yelp. I honestly didn't remember my Google account password. At Jer's request, I logged into Facebook and he took my laptop and found his own businesses and gave himself 5star ratings under my name! He suggested I use my Yelp app on my phone because it would check me in at the location. Lucky me, I don't have the app on my phone, so I'm writing this instead. I brought my laptop in because the performance for my favorite game (not multi-person, just a stupid little one-player game) had recently slowed to unusable. I suspected I was running out of RAM and Firefox was thrashing trying to run itself and my game. Jer told me I had enough RAM. That's 1 in his favor. Then he took my laptop from me and proceeded to kill off any services he didn't recognize, which included my sound card and my fingerprint recognition. Then he insisted the sound was off when I brought it in. Uh, no. Then he tried to take credit for freeing up 1G of RAM by killing these random services. I brought up Firefox and my game and the performance did not improve. He futzed around with my laptop for 2 hours (including various breaks for other customers and having to put my poor laptop on charge when it ran out of battery). Finally, he suggested I run with Chrome instead of Firefox. Now, I understand computers more theoretically than I know how to do things in Windows. Once I got home, I was trying to figure out how I could possibly undo what Jer had done with my limited Windows knowledge, afraid of screwing things up even worse. Luckily, I ran across Windows Restore. By coincidence, Windows had installed an update the night before and created a restore point. I ran the restore to that restore point and got things back they way they were (even the sound now worked!) So, other than reminding me to clear the Firefox cache -- that's 2 in his favor -- I took his suggestion and downloaded and am now running Facebook and my favorite game in Chrome. That's 3 in his favor. When Jer told me about his pricing structure, my first impulse was to tell him I would rather pay full price and write whatever reviews I felt like, but I knew that wasn't the answer he wanted to hear, and he still had my laptop in his hands, so I agreed. Summary: 3 points in his favor that he could have mentioned in 5 minutes, but he screwed up my services and kept me there for 2 hours. read more

So, I made the grave mistake of picking my laptop up by the hood, and my finger barely touched the screen under the webcam and it fractured right down the middle. I was facing having to spend another $700 for a laptop, which I'm not in a position to do. I checked Walmart and the reviews for their cheapest Toshiba weren't favorable. I asked God what to do and Spirit said, call around to see if it could be fix. The first place I called, FixmyGDpc quoted me $100 for labor and could not tell me what the part cost. I called Error Code and Alex was on it! He quoted me $50 for labor and $83 for the part and he said come on by to pay for the part. When I called FixmyGDpc to cancel business with them, the Manager was surprised that I shopped around. Then he proceeded to try to throw Error Code's abilities under the bus. Then he proceeded to offer me the same deal as Error Code. I politely told him that I'm in Sales and the time to close a deal with me is at hello! It took 3 days to get the part. I brought my laptop in today and it was ready in an hour. Error Code, you'll get my PC business every time! Thank you for putting me back in business! read more

Emailed one more time and got a call. Spoke with 2 people with whom I was totally unimpressed. Probably won't use them again. read more

I'm often wary of businesses receiving nothing but 5 stars however these folks earned them from me. New in town and computer goes bad on a weekend afternoon. Anthony at Error Code was kind enough to wait for us to arrive and found a way to fix our problem in minutes without having to "scrub" the computer. Incredibly reasonably priced and threw in a whole lot of education presented in layman's terms. When we had another issue several days later his colleague Dennis talked us through the fix over the phone. The Trifecta..great service delivered pleasantly at a more than reasonable price. I came to this place after seeing all the great reviews on yelp. My wife's laptop was taking really long to boot up and connect to the Internet (6-8 mins). I dropped the laptop off for almost week and they reinstalled windows on it. The laptop was tested at the store and it seemed like it was fixed (rough cost $140). A week later it started getting an error code right before the boot up. The issue came back and it still takes a very long time to boot up and connect to the Internet. Its to the point where it is no longer being used (what a waste of noney). If I could go back I would save my money and just buy a new laptop. read more

These guys are amazing!! My mom's computer monitor broke today (4-18-15) and I called them. I don't remember who I talked to but he was great. I asked if we could stop by. He said they were closed already but because he was in the office doing some work he would check it out. So my mother and I drove on down and he ran a free diagnostic. He even did all this extra stuff for no charge. This guy really knows his stuff. In the end the only for of payment he asked for was a review. I recommend them highly for anything!! read more

They fixed it! Dave and the other guy at Apogee were courteous, fast and efficient. I was pretty worried that my computer was dead. It first acted up by not allowing me on the internet. I thought it was the port where the wireless adapter is plugged. I switched it to different ports. Still nothing. So I bought a new adapter. Still didn't work. I took it back to Best Buy where they said it was that I needed a different installation disc because I have Windows 10. I waited for Best Buy to burn the disc, took it home (dejavu, all over again) and NOPE. No deal. So I went back to Best Buy where they ignored me for half hour. I bought an ethernet cable. Brought it home. And still, NADA. I finally took the desktop to Apogee (also called Error Code) and they fixed it in less than time than what it takes me to be ignored at Best Buy. Inexpensive too.
