Yet ANOTHER review that I KNOW I WROTE & PUBLISHED, but its MISSING from the end of June. This is The North End, so hours are not actually set in stone. I was there waiting for hours, but couldn't get inside, and it was extremely humid & hazy that day, and it suddenly turned into a rainstorm. So, I never got to go inside. I LOVE the pizza here! And I hadn't been here IN YEARS, due to COVID, but I STILL didn't get to go inside, because I guess Sundays mean they open whenever they feel like it in June. That's REALLY a shame, because I had SO MUCH CASH TO JUST BLOW in here! But, you guys just didn't seem to want to open up, and I could see and hear you guys INSIDE THERE! Weird that u guys didn't want my money! After about 4 hours of WAITING, we left. read more

We ordered through a delivery app and weren't notified that it was delivered to our hotel, so it was cold before we got it. The pizza itself was huge and delicious. We ate it before we left for the Celtics game and after we came back from the bar. I would eat here again, hopefully it will be hot next time. read more

Just one slice at Ernesto's is massive, it's like 1/3 of an entire pizza i think. The pizza itself was just okay, I thought it was nothing special. It was also really greasy. It's good for the price though. read more

Ernesto's - not too happy - Pizza Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

Great place to stop by for a slice of Boston pizza! Although a slice = a quarter of pizza (Huge slice! Can't beat this deal!) Each slice is $5-8 depending what toppings you are getting. Slices are coming from whole pizzas already made so it's quick (They throw it in the oven real quick to give it a nice toast before giving it to you) Ordered the pepperoni with ricotta cheese. So delicious! Crispy and toasty, flavorful cheese and pepperoni. Couldn't ask for more... read more

Huge slices, delicious pizza with perfect crispy crust. Old school small spot on a side street with great friendly service

This is one of the best pizza places in Boston and a must visit if your in town. This is a sell by the Slice joint for a really decent price. But keep in mind "one slice" is really two giant slices, so one really all you need. If you stop in try the eggplant ricotta it's my favorite! read more

Omg. The best dough and crispy crust with a pillowy center. The tomato sauce is chunky and is simply delicious! The mozzarella is fantastic with a perfect pull. The ricotta is herbed so it's bursting with flavor. Finally, the eggplant was incredible with the perfect amount of breading to add flavor and crunch without overpowering the natural goodness of the veggie and wasn't greasy at all. The caprese pizza was similarly one of the best I've ever had! read more

Yelp suggested this place for best pizzas in the area, specifically the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. We ordered via UberEats abs unfortunately the delivery took forever (not a mistake on the restaurant). When the pizza finally arrived, we were very surprised by the size of the pizza. The slices are ginormous and the full pizza can definitely be shared between 3-4 people.. sharing ofcourse is optional. Let's get to the basics, the pizza had sufficient amount of sauce and the cheese to chicken ratio was fine too. As the delivery was delayed, my pizza was cold and the crust was dried out. However, we were still pretty satisfied due to the flavour and portion size. The Buffalo sauce gives it a kick, paired well with chilli flakes. Will have to be back in person to try a piping hot slice! read more

Walked back to the hotel with this pizza and even semi-cold it was amazing. We decided to take it to go because of COVID, but I'm sure pipping hot it's even better. Half and half: Ernesto Pizza - had to get the namesake! It was really good! A White pizza topped with chicken, broccoli, fresh mushrooms and cheese. Caprese Pizza - a classic that you can't go wrong with. Red sauce, topped with fresh mozzarella, romano & fresh basil. The sauce was the star of the show - it was excellent! It was all delicious. A fresh pie was ready in about 20 mins. We just took a stroll around the area while we waited. read more

I came here the day after having a lackluster experience at Regina's, I was only in town for a long weekend and needed redemption. On a Saturday the wait was out the door as expected but It went fast, less than 10 minutes and we were front of the line. I read a few reviews that said a whole pie is the way to go over slices but frankly after spending 2+ hours at regina for lackluster pizza the day before, slices sounded great. The duo behind the counter was friendly, smiling, joking, good guys. The pizza was great! Crust had some nice little air bubbles, was light and fluffy and the "slice" is a great value, it's 1/4 of a pizza, 2 large slices anywhere else. This is solid pizza at a good price and the wait time is minimal, what more can you ask for?! read more

First time here and won't be coming back. Stopped in late Saturday night because just wanted to taste some good Boston pizza. Had several different slices for me and the family and they pretty much all disappointed. Bacon/chicken/ranch forgot to add the ranch dressing. Margarita slice tasted like cooked dough. Buffalo chicken was ok but couldn't find any chicken on the slice. Meat slice was just ok and the pepperoni slice just wasn't worth it! read more

"Slices" are about ~$7, but they're HUGE!! Basically two slices, because they cut the "slice" in half for you! Great pizza, you put some bread, cheese, toppings, and wallah! They heat up the pizza right before serving so it taaaaastes GREAT! @hungryhungryhumans_ read more

A cold and windy Saturday afternoon calls for a pizza, and I am so glad we came by Ernesto's in the North end of Boston after completing an hour-long heritage walk. The restaurant is tucked in a cobblestone street with many taverns and oyster bars, not too far from Quincy Market, our regular to-go place in Boston. The place is small, with about three tables that can seat 2 and 4 each. We did find a comfortable seat quickly, and the pizzas were quick to get (self-service). They are served in paper plates and paper boxes- extra points for being sustainable. The door being opened often did bring in some cold draft. We got a Chicken ranch and another chicken with Brocolli and mushroom. The ranch one was perfect! It was a rare, flavorful pizza with a crispy base, sufficiently topped and seasoned. We ate a slice after a few hours at home, and it still tasted delicious. The broccoli could have been cooked a bit more. Overall, great portions, economical, and very tasty; we wholly recommend and plan to come again! read more

4.5 stars, My highest rating on a first visit. I got a sausage and ricotta slice to go. One slice is 1/4 of a pizza, so keep that in mind. It's about seven bucks which I think is fair. It was very tasty. I will definitely be back. read more

I really wanted to try Ernesto's Pizza after hearing a few people claim it was the best in Boston. I won't be able to determine that because I am still yet to try Regina's which I'm also told is the best in Boston. Either way I was excited as I always am to try good pizza. They have a small storefront in the North End district of Boston (Italian area). We walked in, and headed straight to the back and ordered our slices. Two cheese slices, one cheese pepperoni and one margarita. Now what you have to realize about these slices is they are 1/4 of the pizza. That's right, one slice is 1/4 of a large pizza. The crust had a fairly sturdy undercarriage. I felt that the cornicione was not airy enough. It seemed like a 24-hour dough versus a 48 hour. The sauce had a subtle sweetness and the cheese was excellent. The young gentlemen that served us was great. All in all it was a fun experience and the pizza was very good, a solid 7.8 Cheers read more

Ordered delivery to our hotel after a long day, the food came quick and warm, I'm impressed by their speed in making the pizzas. Presentation was nice as well! We got the garden salad, pepperoni pizza, and Buffalo chicken supreme pizza. My dad said the salad was OK- it came with a handful of olives, 2 cucumber slices, maybe 1/3rd of a tomato and a BUNCH of lettuce. If you just want to eat a bunch of lettuce- the garden salad is for you. I didn't try the pepperoni pizza, my dad said it was really good and my brother said "too oily", so we had a split opinion. Me and my mom ate the Buffalo supreme, and as someone who doesn't eat pizza often, this had me coming back for 2nds and 3rds. I loved it, it has nice flavor and the peppers and chicken were perfectly spread throughout the pizza. I would definitely recommend the Buffalo chicken supreme, it hit the spot. Overall, a pretty solid pizza place. Skip the salad and go right for the pizza, that's what you came here for! read more

I was happy that, per a very clean and socially responsible recycling trash can over the Central Artery's park-like lid with an advertisement for Ernesto's, I could grab a slice of pizza or two and that would constitute lunch in Boston's North End. In reality, I had seen this trash can before and filed the ad away in my head for future reference. So, you see, clever advertising reeled me in, too. However, this isn't for something shlocky. It's for pizza and it can serve as a meal. The advertisement mentioned that Ernesto's features Boston's biggest slice of pizza. And they probably do. It's very easy to get here from the park over the Central Artery. It's but a block or so away. Also, it's a small store and there isn't much seating. All of the pizzas available as pies or by the slice are on display. They are not labeled, either because they keep sliding in new ones as they make them or because they just don't label them. It's easy to figure out what the standard ones are. However, with some of the more "esoteric" ones, one might have to ask. I got two slices. I probably shouldn't have. The slice with pepperoni was devoured quickly. The other one took more effort and I didn't finish it. (What? And I go to buffets?) That was my fault for ordering pizza with ricotta on it which, in my opinion, makes pizza taste too bland. The experience was mostly okay, with their two huge slices making for too big of a meal, and with the demerits being somewhat disinterested customer service, variability in how good the pizza flavors were, and too thick of a crust for my taste. They were looking for staff ... maybe being asked what flavor the pizzas in the glass case are over and over causes them to experience burnout, but I doubt it. In addition to tourists, I did see a lot of locals. They were smartly having one large slice of pizza with something to wash it down - they do have a soft drink machine. They've probably been able to zero in on which type of pizza they like. So, for me, Ernesto's was a 3 star experience. However, for those who have this routine dialed in terms of selecting their favorite slice of pizza among those offered, it could be a 4 star experience. read more

Ernesto's Pizza in Boston's North End has big slices with a good cheese-to-sauce ratio, but the slices I had were greasy, and the crust too doughy for me. The counter-service is quick, but the limited seating and small space can make it tight during busy times. While the variety of pizza options is decent, the overall experience just "okay". read more

This is my husbands and I's FAVORITE pizza place in all of Boston. We've tried soo many pizza places like Reginas's and other recommended places, but this one reigns supreme ! Crust is perfection imo, thin and crispy and chewy. Toppings are traditional and a few unique flavors like cheeseburger. And you get 1/4 of a pizza as a slice for 6-7$. Highly highly recommend, I bring all my friends and family here read more

Great staff, even better pizza. This pizza joint is tucked away in an alley down in the north end. Got a cheese and pepperoni for myself and a cheese and Caesar salad for my wife. Quick pizza stop! I had the ricotta fried eggplant and my husband had the cheese pizza. It needed to be a bit warmer. Seemed like it's been sitting there all day. However, it still tasted very good. I like the dough and crust with ricotta and fried eggplant. I just wish it was steaming hot. I think the server didn't heat it long enough. Small little shop but quick service. read more

Really good dough. Hand tossed, cooked just right, and tons of flavor. The chicken, broccoli, and mushroom with white sauce sucked if I'm being honest- the sauce was super bland. The crust made up for it and gets the place 4 stars still. The red sauce was good- could use a little more spice to it but ultimately this place makes a good pie. Small cramped seating but you're not there to feel fancy. Nice big window helps a lot. Service was okay. No signs saying what each pizza was and had to ask over and over about different options instead of just having someone tell us all at once. Pizzas aren't in a warmer so they have to get reheated when you order a slice. Slice was just barely warm and would've been much better if it was actually hot. read more

Solid pizza in the North End. Can get slices, and yes they are large -- because they simply put two smallish slices on a plate and call it a large slice! A little more expensive than I expected, but hey it is the North End. read more

Solid place to get your pizza fix. They sell pizza by the slice for $5-7 depending on the flavor, and by "slice" they mean a whole quarter of the pie. On our first night in Boston, my siblings and I headed over to North End to try out their pizza. I had Ernesto's bookmarked as a spot to try. We were pretty hungry, as we skipped lunch. So, we ordered their 18 inch pizza with mushrooms and Italian sausage to go. It was ready in about 20 minutes, and it was piping hot. We went to a nearby park to devour our pizza pie. It was delicious. The dough and crust were the best part. Just the right amount of char and a crispy, and slightly chewy crust. They were very generous with the toppings for the price. My only complaint would be that there might've been too much tomato sauce. Otherwise, this was a solid spot for pizza to start our Boston trip. read more
