After a few bouts of leaking from the exhaust fan, I called Ventflow. Following a quick five-minute phone call and the exchange of a handful of images from my attic and bathroom, we had a plan of attack and an appointment scheduled. The team showed up perfectly on time, removed the offending, soaking-wet fans and ducting, and even checked the roof to clear out insulation that didn't belong there. They were punctual, communicated clearly, cleaned up thoroughly, didn't mind my dog barking at them, and explained everything they were doing. They also gave me some great advice on other DIY things I can do to keep the ducts and house in good shape. The price was exactly what I was quoted (even though one of the installs was a bit more complicated than it should have been), and they spent extra time cleaning up insulation that had fallen out of the attic. I 100% recommend Ventflow and would absolutely use them again if anything came up.

Unfortunately concerning Pristine we were met with resistance and denial. The representative went straight to saying they shouldn't do a heat pump, due to the lack of floor insulation. This didn't make sense to us, as three other companies already reviewed the home and claimed otherwise. However the representative from Pristine seemed to not want to hear that, and after a bit of back and forth said the words "I guess we aren't the company you want to go for". They made the decision for us, which is odd considering we were only trying to purchase more than a standalone furnace. Maybe it was a miscommunication somewhere but it's clear from the rep that they didn't want our business. Edit: Further reduced score based on the reply from the company including false truths, never once did we claim that what the representative had said was "B.S." and to be clear they never said nor verified the home was insulated properly. The claimed the floors needed to be insulated, which was debunked by other companies as heat rises, and floor insulation does very little in terms of holding the homes heat. Poor response taking no real responsibility.

I prefer companies being proactive. Their verbal quote in person felt like bait-and-switch, as it was not anywhere near the online quote. I had turned down other options as I liked the online bid. I explained this to the techs, and they were able to "negotiate" a better price (slightly higher than my online bid) so it was not exactly what I expected. What I liked is the job was complete on the day I requested. The techs tried upselling me in person, didn't give me anything in writing, and kind of hesitated when I'd explained I wanted them to either take off their shoes or wear booties, as the floor was recently cleaned. Again, they did the job on the day I'd requested and came highly reviewed, but I still have not received a written receipt (it's been nearly a week) and I don't care for the upselling when everything on the price menu is online. As they were able to finish one home I hired them to do another, based on time. Would I hire again, I'd give them a 3/5 stars, so not necessarily. It was 100% based on scheduling on why they got my business and they sold me on the instant reply and online menu, but I wasn't impressed with the mess (had to vacuum after they came) and the upselling and their hesitation of booties. I also prefer precision (screwing in all vents) over rushing for a completion. I had to run around and ask them to put the vent covers back on. They asked me to write a check to a "new company" and that seemed sketchy/uncomfortable too as I thought I'd hired Evergreen Air...

I appreciate the 3 team members working together to take equipment out, explain what they are doing and test everything for quality. I know the compressor.is working. The compressor run for 30 second and shut down wait for 2 minutes will start again and it shut down after 30 seconds, and it has good pressure inside the compressor. I paid $130 for that useless system diagnosis report. I have another guy come to check. The guy went up to attic, then he find that wet sensor is dead. That is the problem, $60 fixed. After we change it. The air conditioning is good now. I would never call this company again.

Adrian showed up promptly for install, arriving on time and got right to work. He was very thorough and the install looked great when he got done. You can tell he takes pride in his work. The issue I had with Greentop is the warranty registration, which was incorrectly registered with my name and contact info as the dealer. I traded a couple e-mails with Vera and was then ghosted. I ended up calling the manuf myself to have them at least correct the name of the dealer on my warranty registration to Greentop. They advised they couldn't change the contact info. I'm hoping I don't have any warranty issues down the line due to their error.

Better Air NW's proposal was not only the least expensive by a fair margin, but also offered the highest quality machines and best warranties. Normally, I'd be pretty skeptical at that combination, but all of the positive reviews on Yelp convinced me to accept their offer. A few days later, as I write this I'm basking in the warmth of my new heater. The installation was smooth, painless, and well done. Despite some unexpected challenges in the home's design to figure out and overcome, they charged exactly their estimate; there were none of the kind of headaches or scams that one often expects dealing with contractors. All in all, great experience, these folks deserve their lofty reputation.

Better Air NW was the only one who didn't give us pricing or a plan and the only one we had a negative experience with. During our in-person consultation, Jered focused on our HOA almost the entire time. Our HOA does have requirements in this area that we don't think are enforceable anymore, and in any case, that's our issue to sort out once a proposal is in place. We reassured Jered we would handle the HOA ourselves and wanted him to treat it like any other job: propose whatever setup his experience would call for and walk us through a plan and pricing. He kept coming back to the HOA anyway, and we struggled to get him to focus on the plan instead. He even told us one of the rooms was "impossible," and when we asked why, the answer was the HOA. It really felt like we were grasping at straws here. By the end of the consultation, our time had been wasted and we still didn't have any pricing or a plan. Later, he texted us that they couldn't do the job, without giving a reason. Since we never got one, we were left to guess: to us, the constant focus on the HOA came across as an easy way to pass on a job they didn't want to take on. No other contractor had trouble coming up with a proposal and pricing. Either way, our suggestion to Better Air NW is to be upfront.

I had a highly disappointing experience with EnviroSmart Solution Inc for a crawlspace drainage system at my home. From start to finish, the project was plagued by delays, poor workmanship, and broken promises. What was supposed to be a one-day job in May 2024 stretched into six separate workdays over months. Deadlines were repeatedly missed, calls went unanswered, and I lost income taking unpaid time off to supervise. Even after extensive pre-planning, I had to repeatedly intervene to correct major issues: Wrong materials were used (all-purpose gravel instead of drainage rock) Sump basin installed incorrectly with missing weep holes Trench depth was far too shallow for my site conditions Debris left behind despite promises it would be removed Improper grading and incomplete vegetation removal The owner repeatedly dismissed my concerns, and even after completing the project with a discount, he assured me the system would work. In October 2025, I opened the access and found more water than I had ever seen, confirming the system was failing. I observed that the flexible discharge hose installed by EnviroSmart, intended only for temporary use according to the manufacturer, had failed, spraying water throughout the crawlspace, soaking insulation and wood framing. There was standing water above and below the vapor barrier, improper trench grading causing pooling, and no check valve, which I believe contributed to the failure. The exterior vents were dry, confirming the water is coming from the ground beneath the vapor barrier rather than from outside. I contacted EnviroSmart to schedule an inspection under their workmanship warranty, providing photos and detailed explanations. I requested that they correct the trench grading, replace the flexible discharge hose with rigid PVC, install a check valve, inspect and repair the sump pump and GFCI outlet, and replace all damaged materials in accordance with their 10-year workmanship warranty. However, a day before the scheduled inspection, the owner canceled, refusing to service my system any longer. The crawlspace continued to flood: insulation was saturated, wooden structural components showed moisture readings between 18.5 - 19.3%, water collected in low areas, and the sump pump system installed by EnviroSmart Solution is nonfunctional. This creates ongoing structural risk, potential mold growth, continuing financial loss, and serious safety hazards. I believe EnviroSmart's actions constitute breach of contract, deceptive business practices, and fraud, since they knowingly used temporary and inappropriate materials and failed to provide a functioning drainage system despite their expertise and prior assurances. Given that EnviroSmart Solutions is refusing to service my system any longer, I have sought multiple third-party licensed, bonded, and insured crawlspace professionals to inspect the crawlspace, assess the damages, and determine the cost of repairs. Their reports confirm improper workmanship and substandard materials and include estimates to repair the damages caused. I have sought to resolve this matter privately but was met with continued dismissal of responsibility from the owner. I strongly do NOT recommend EnviroSmart Solution Inc. Most homeowners cannot physically inspect a crawlspace or verify materials, and many do not speak English or have the ability to research proper installation. EnviroSmart's lack of integrity and repeated shortcuts put me - and could put others - at serious risk of property damage, financial loss, and unsafe conditions. Be prepared to fight for every detail of your project and expect to end up with a faulty system with no recourse. read more

We hired Envirosmart Solution because we had a gross smelling draft coming out of our heat vents that we thought was related to a crawlspace under a bumpout that needed to be cleaned out. Shahar was extremely thorough during his inspection, examining the vents and ducts and going into the crawlspace himself to get an understanding of what was going on. This is in contrast to other companies who gave us quotes without coming to the house or doing cursory jobs looking around. One told me the problem was mildew in the ducts, which was completely wrong. Shahar immediately found dead rodents in the crawlspace and near the furnace, which were causing the smell. He drew up a quote to clean out and insulate the crawl space, seal the ducts, and seal any other openings from the basement into the rest of the house. I was very impressed with the work in the crawlspace, including a new vapor barrier and cement poured around the outside perimeter to prevent rodents from getting in again. They missed a couple seams in the duct sealing, but came back promptly to seal them. And when we were still getting a crawlspace smell coming through our vents (though much less ripe without the dead rodents), Shahar personally came back to inspect and gave the ducts a final cleaning and sanitizing and deodorized the crawlspace to get rid of the smell once and for all. I really thought that was going above and beyond to address the issue. This was not a super straightforward job and we also had to go back and forth a lot on the quote to figure out what we could do within our budget. Shahar was extremely responsive and professional and thorough. I recommend Envirosmart Solution for any kind of duct or crawlspace cleaning or sealing you need. read more

Envirosmart sent in a team of 5: Zac, Jack, Myles, Reese, & Brady to come in yesterday the whole day and today almost a whole day to install the furnace and the related heat pump at my property. The team was a good team, 2 electricians, and 3 HVAC technicians. They did not even take a lunch break during the first day of installation. They kept my place clean. Attached are 4 pictures: old furnace and new furnace; and the location before and after the heat pump was installed. Jack exhibited his leadership and workmanship. He has a great sense of humor and is friendly. Zac, the electrician, also a Sudoku guy, worked hard under the rain. He was very easy to talk to. This team of five only consumed pops with real sugar, the diet stuff or sparkling water that I offered was not touched. All the Cokes were the first to go, second was the root beer. Brian Carter from Envirosmart Solutions came out to my house to do a deep cleaning of my vents. I have been in my home 10 years and never had it done. I am so happy I called Envirosmart solutions. Brian was very knowledgeable. He told me about a filter that I just vaccuum and put back in my furnance. Always wanted one , it will save me a lot of money in the long run. I asked about furnance cleaning and boy am I ever glad I did. I also had a device put into furnance to keep bacteria mold and other particles from gettin into the heat system. Since he was the first professional I spoke with, he walked me through the entire process in a very clear and helpful way. He explained that the knob-and-tube wiring would likely need to be replaced and pointed out several other important considerations, including potential insurance issues related to water damage. In the end, I went with a company recommended by a friend that could handle the wiring, mold remediation, and insulation all together. That said, Aaron was extremely knowledgeable and acted like a true attic mold and insulation consultant. We scheduled a time for an estimate, They showed up right on time and gave me a really professional and honest estimate for replacing my attic insulation. I ended up giving them the job even that they were a couple hundred more expensive and i can say it was definitely worth it! Clean and perfectionist work, my attic entrance is from the garage and they cleaned all my garage after the job was done. It's even cleaner than it was before :) The job manager Daniel, was very nice and helpful and took me over all the process of the job and always made sure I'm satisfied. We needed a ductless heat pump serving three different zones. Envirosmart bid was just slightly more expensive than a competing bid, but they were offering Mitsubishi (slightly quieter than Daikin), they were ready to install a header unit almost flush with the ceiling (which other company couldn't do or did not want to bother with), they were inventive in suggesting ways to hide the pipes for cooling & heating, and they were able to deal with our other requests: replace the main electrical panel, install car chargers, even improve lighting in our garage. And if something was not right the first time, they were ready to come as many times as needed to make it just right, perfect really. My wife and I are very pleased with their work and how easy it was to communicate with them. We highly recommend them. read more

I have a rental property in Bellevue,WA and I got a call from my tenants that they are getting a bad smell from the vents( like something died inside), I didn't know who to hired for this that will be good enough to solve the problem at once because I'm not there. I asked a friend who got his ducts cleaned recently and he told me he got Envirosmart for $59 and they did really professional job, well I knew it's going to be more because it a bit more just a cleaning but I called them and they showed up 2 days later, they replaced couple ducts that were damaged from the rodents and fixed the rest of them and sanitized them too. We had originally purchased a HVAC cleaning from another company via Groupon which didn't get the job done. Needless to say these guys are the REAL deal! We had originally scheduled a duct cleaning and sanitization after a pest problem, but weren't exactly sure what we needed. Brain* arrived and was exceptionally informative and gave us many options explaining each thing, and gave us his recommendation based on the information we shared. He and his co-worked were extremely polite and professional. The Envirosmart Solutions crew headed by Sean and Antonio did a fantastic job. Our dryer was venting into the crawl space which created a pretty big mess filled with lint and mold. The team cleaned up the mess, replaced the vapor barrier and made sure we saw photos of their work. Sean and Antonio fixed the problem with the dryer vent and made sure it vented outside properly. As a courtesy, Sean ever replaced the hose connecting the dryer to the outside vent. This team was incredibly professional, thorough and did exactly what they said they would do for the price they said they would do it for. They left the house clean and even sanitized the floors. I had a great experience with Envirosmart. From the sales person Nathan which was super knowledgeable and custom designed the most effective solution for my 1942 house and was very responsive and patient with all of my questions to Nicole the project manager from the office (she was on top of it!) and to the install team Bryce and Jesse who worked very hard to complete everything on time and for my satisfaction. The new Mitsubishi heat pump is working great and we re enjoying every moment with the new mini split system. We have a newborn and it's amazing to be able to control each room individually and in different temperatures. SAME DAY SERVICE ! I needed a furnace inspected for a house that is in closing but the inspection was required first. Envirosmart contacted me before 0700 ! They had me scheduled for an inspection the same day at 1500. The technician was extremely professional , he called 15 mins before his arrival time. Nathan was honest, knew the unit very well and was meticulous about the cleaning and inspection of the components. He also cleaned up after himself and ensured anything that was disturbed in the process was exactly as it was prior to. I would recommend Envirosmart to anyone ! Great experience overall. Asked for a service call to diagnose a strange rumbling sound, thought it might be the solar fan. Ellie in the office was understanding and managed to schedule two technicians within a few days of my call. Roman and Tanner showed up on a Monday morning. They were so positive, had a "we can fix this - no problem" attitude. They were respectful of our house as they entered, offering to remove their shoes (not necessary, even though we remove ours.) Long story short - there was no problem with the solar fan, but simply an old furnace switch that had somehow tripped. The whole visit lasted less than 20 minutes. This is a great company. Their work and customer service is excellent, but it's their people that sets them a part. read more

I can't say enough great things about this company and more specifically, Xavier and Dominic. They showed up ON TIME. The problem was quickly diagnosed and Xavier ordered the part. They were beyond friendly and professional- there is nothing better than feeling like you can trust someone and that's how I feel about these two and this company. As soon as the part came in Xavier rearranged his schedule so that he could get the heater going for us. He didn't need to do that, but he went above and beyond to make sure we didn't go another night without heat. My only suggestion is that you guys give these two a raise or a nice end of year bonus. If they were 'just doing their job' then they have set the bar really high. read more

Brian and team were excellent - called with expected timing of arrival, arrived - no joke - the exact time he said, and were incredibly respectful the entire time. Brian walked me thru (including hand-drawings!) what the process was in my specific home, asked me (without pressure) which level of service i wanted, and was pleasant and kind throughout the full process. Even in having to climb UNDER my back deck to reach my dryer vent output. What a champion! Could not recommend this company enough and the cost could not be beat for the incredible service. I can't recommend Envirosmart Solutions enough. We hired them to install a Mitsubishi Heat Pump and AC system in our home. They did an AMAZING job. Danny was wonderful and of all the people who came to give us quotes had the clearest sense of what would be best for our home. He wasn't wrong! The crew was incredibly kind, thorough, and thoughtful. And we are SO pleased with our new heat pump. The heat in our home is now even, it's SO incredibly quiet (you can barely hear the fan inside and the outside unit makes NO noise), and we now have AC. As a senior I value good customer service. When you find companies that can provide that, you shout it from the roof tops. Envirosmart is one of those companies. I hired them to clean and service my vents and furnace. I can tell you that Brian Carter and his coworker Eric provided an amazing experience. They were polite, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable. If you need your furnace serviced this is the company you want to hire. Ask for Brian and Eric to come out and amaze you too! We had a Mitsubishi heat pump installed in the summer of 2024 that needed a callback to clear up some open items from a municipal inspector. Envirosmart dispatched Xavier to be our technician on the callback and he was awesome. Xavier was punctual, polite, and very knowledgeable. He was a clear communicator explaining what he was going to do was excellent in his post service summary. We worked with Esther to schedule our appointment for air duct deep cleaning, including the dryer duct. She was helpful and knowledgeable in taking the time to explain different plans and prices. She also emailed us to confirm our appointment. She was great. The team of Josh and Antonio came to do the cleaning. Josh explained the Steps to clean the ducts and how the heating system works. A few years back, I had Washington Energy Services install a heat pump in my house and it was a…read morewholly positive experience, so when I decided to have a mini split installed in my ADU, I had them give me a bid. The bid was shockingly high, and I had concerns about what the rep was suggesting: he suggested locating the condenser in the alley and the register, inside, near the floor. He was also keen to sell me a three-year service agreement for the heat pump. I contacted Greener Cleaner and the owner, Robert, came out and gave me a considerably lower estimate for the installation of the mini split, and offered to service the heat pump free of charge if I decided to go with his company. Robert told me that he'd once installed a condenser in an alley and it had been vandalized, costing the customer many thousands of dollars. (The photo he showed me of the cannibalized condenser was worth a thousand words.) He advised locating the condenser inside my fenced yard. He also suggested that the register be placed higher up on the wall as this would most effectively heat/cool the ADU. Greener Cleaner came a week later and completed the job in one day, both the installation of the mini split and the service of the heat pump. The three gentlemen who did the work were exceedingly competent, polite, and left everything clean. Robert called me directly midday and at the end of the day to see if I had any questions and if I was satisfied with the work. I appreciated the communication! I suspect that Washington Energy services had just grown too big and doesn't feel the need to be competitive. I'm glad I went with Greener Cleaner!

After I rejected that amount, it was all of a sudden only $149 on special from the owner, Robert. I thought that was strange, but I told him that that needed to be the amount when they got here too, and he assured me it would be. I made the appointment for the day after Super Bowl and they were to arrive between 9:00 and 10:00 AM, texting me before they arrived. I finally got a text around 9:20 AM telling me that the technician was sick and we could schedule for any other day that week. Sounded suspiciously like a hangover to me, but whatever. When they finally got here and removed the filters, I was advised it was now going to be $50 more. I had explained that I had a small house fire inside, but we had cleaned all of the filters and now they are stained. I even asked Jeffrey if I didn't want to pay the extra money, was he gonna just put everything back together and go away? I could see by his expression that was not going to happen so there was nothing I could do. I'm an elderly woman and I already told them since it was only $149, I wouldn't even ask for a senior discount but now they raised the price so I was very disappointed. As they were working, and I came back out into my garage, I caught Jeffrey talking on the phone about my water heater and putting a sticker on it. I told him stickers were OK, but I didn't know it was that big... not only did he put a giant sticker on something he wasn't working on, but he threw the backing on the floor of my garage! When they left, I looked at the unit, and all of the lights were flashing red. At first he had said that the filters would have to dry and then plug in the face plate later, but he plugged it in immediately and it didn't look happy. I texted the workmen and got no response. Finally, the owner responded and told me to hit the reset button. There was still one light flashing bright red after I reset. I had to have my husband work on it when he got home to get the red light to go away. It was very stressful for me overall, but I guess the job did get done... time will tell. It doesn't look like they cleaned anything on my outside unit either. I hope they do better with other people. It could have been just a bad set of circumstances but being "sick" on a Monday after the Super Bowl seems weird knowing that it could be done any other day of the week so the person couldn't have been too sick.

The efficiency of the new HVAC is a noticeable upgrade from the last, a system that came with our (new at purchase--now, 22 y.o.) home. Though the system lasted us a long time, it was never the right BTU for the size of the house. The old HVAC thermometer was around 6 or 7 degrees off. Plus, there were always cold (during winter months) and hot (during summer months) spots at the farthest corners of the house. Now, the uniformity of the temperature throughout the house makes it seem like a new and improved home. Hopefully, this will last a very long time. We are only 7 weeks out from the fresh install. Efer (owner) was very knowledgeable. He was communicative with my questions via text beforehand, and Alec was very informative and gave me the quote at the beginning of this project. This wasn't an easy install, 28' up on a 8/12 pitched roof. David, the project manager showed up with two workers and got the job done in about five hours. They did a great job, removed old chase and wood trim around the top, installed new chase, wood trim and painted all new material to match existing house color. I had three other chimney companies come out and give bids, none really seemed interested in doing this job, all were looking for masonry work or a bigger project. I would use this company again for any type of chimney repair work.

This felt very much like a bait and switch. Beware for them to give you a low bid and raise the price when they arrive to do the work. Edit: After follow-up discussion with the company, I no longer believe this was a bait and switch, just poor communication from the woman in the office, the original estimator, and the people on-site who showed up to do the work. Each of the three areas that I was expecting to be done (attic, walls, crawlspace) had legitimate reasons for why they couldn't be done.

I was shocked, with the PSE rebate, which NW Insulation takes care of, the estimate was thousands less than I thought it would be! I signed up, and a day or so later I got a call to schedule the install, again, surprisingly, they could do it right away and I scheduled for about a week out. The installers got to my house about 8am and were very polite and professional. They basically worked all day, got the job done, and were on their way. They left everything clean and it is amazing to me how the house looked when they were done. They blew in the insulation from the exterior and the method that they used left no trace, they removed a course of siding, drilled holes, filled the walls, plugged the holes, and replaced the siding. You can't even tell that they were there. I have only had a few hot days to determine if there has been an improvement and honestly it really does seem to stay cooler inside, looking forward to winter for the real test. All in all, this has been a great experience, I very highly recommend NW Insulation for your project.
