They did another thorough assessment and provided two solutions: Going through our attic or going along the exterior soffit. Our house has a unique challenge in that our siding is fiber cement with bricks in the wall. They were extremely communicative, cleaned thoroughly, and finished within ~5 hours. Everything turned out fantastic! They made everything look so clean and so sleek! Went with Goat to replace the furnace as well as an aging air conditioner with a new heat pump and furnace. Great service, got it installed quickly once Andrey received it. Price was great and very competitive with the other ones. House is warm and toasty, and energy bills are lower with the heat pump providing heating when it's not cold enough for the furnace. Would recommend and use again if needed.

Shortly after installation, I expressed concerns that the AC is not cool/cold for my house and my bedroom upstairs reach's 80F+ even with AC on. AAA came back and said nothing was wrong and even said oh maybe your builder should have installed 2 HVAC systems. I actually questioned their experience as the crew came out for an assessment based on my house sq footage and recommended this unit for my house and I was later told by another tech that the is AC unit is a bit small for my house.. unsure whether they were trying to sell some other unpopular units to their clients. Fast fwd, I hired another company for maintenance today and was told and shown that there were rust and water in my unit and the Inducer has a crack due to POOR gas pipe installation by AAA. Also, the tech told me AAA should have put in a bigger AC unit for my house instead of blaming I need another HVAC. Hence, AAA did not have experience staff to do initial assessment to determine AC BTU/Ton size and their installation was POORLY done!

The backstory: my family and I were in Alaska when the PNW had a big freeze and our pool heat pump condenser and above ground pipes froze and burst. No one was able to come to our home for a couple weeks due to all the other customer priorities dealing with the aftermath of the storm. I completely get it...a pool is not a priority when others are without heat. So our son purchased and installed a new condenser to get the pool water flowing to avoid frozen water in the pool cracking our pool walls and creating a much bigger problem! Our next challenge was to find a way to purchase and install a highly regulated refrigerant requiring a license and special tools. We soon learned that DIYing the refrigerant to get the heat pump working was not possible. For over three years I called different service companies asking for help - pool service companies such as Aquaquip who originally sold and installed the unit, and AquaCal; a different AquaCal, the manufacturer of the pool heat pump; other dozens of other HVAC contractors too numerous to mention except I will mention my serious disappointment with South Sound Plumbing with whom we spend a lot of money annually to service our other home heat pumps. After 30 different phone calls none would help us. "Too risky they" said, "wouldn't be able to warranty the work" said others. The truth? Our problem was simply too small a job or didn't fit their known expertise. Northwest was willing to help (BTW they showed up on the top of a list of HVAC contractors during my ChatGPT co-thinking session). I'm so grateful to Darlene (who took my call and listened with compassion to my unusual problem. I'm grateful to Zane, Northwest's Service Manager, who spent time deeply listening, brainstorming an approach, and getting someone out to our home. Finally, heartfelt kudos to Nate, our HVAC tech wizard, who successfully got our pool heat pump heating water! Yahoo! If you've got an HVAC challenge that doesn't fit neatly into your current HVAC service company's service menu or you want to partner with a company who really cares about delivering value and a great customer experience, I highly recommend Northwest Expert Heating, Cooling, and Electrical!

I feel like I've been a vicitim of a very elaborate bait and switch (combined with the fact that I stupidly decided to do a five-year membership to service our system at no cost so now I'm tied to them). This was THEIR error, not discovered at install or six months, and now I'm out $1500. They never acknowledged their install error. To boot, their GM basically harassed me on text, super unprofessional, berating my husband for hanging up on him after he completely ignored my information on text. He mentioned he would share our text thread on reviews. Cool. Question if it is all there if they do post. Buyer BEWARE. Don't let the sell job catch you...they're slick on the sell and absent on accountability. :-( UPDATE: Another company identified a different problem as the culprit, and identified installation flaws from this company. Please don't use them. They cut corners and are now costing us thousands. This company sold out in October 2025 and it shows. Buyer beware.

tldr - if it's related to HVAC, call the installer of your HVAC system if possible…read more I called Green Bear to take a look at an HVAC system (on second floor) that was leaking water on the 1st floor ceiling (due to AC condensation). They sent someone over, who didn't really open the HVAC system panel much. I didn't seem confident that this would fix it. But they recommended to fix the drain pan inside the evaporator coil box, which they said was much more expensive. For clearing the drain pipe and gluing a loose pipe, which didn't actually fix the main problem, they still billed me $300 - diagnostic fee ($99) + 1 hour ($199) - (there's a 3% credit card fee, but they accept checks) 4 or 5 hours later, there was dripping again. I ended up calling Bob's, they sent 2 technicians who knew what they were doing (they opened the panel properly), they found and fixed the issue - it did not involve replacing a drain pan. Bob's only charged me the diagnostic fee of $175 and did the job right (compared to $300 that Green Bear charged)

Following a quick five-minute phone call and the exchange of a handful of images from my attic and bathroom, we had a plan of attack and an appointment scheduled. The team showed up perfectly on time, removed the offending, soaking-wet fans and ducting, and even checked the roof to clear out insulation that didn't belong there. They were punctual, communicated clearly, cleaned up thoroughly, didn't mind my dog barking at them, and explained everything they were doing. They also gave me some great advice on other DIY things I can do to keep the ducts and house in good shape. The price was exactly what I was quoted (even though one of the installs was a bit more complicated than it should have been), and they spent extra time cleaning up insulation that had fallen out of the attic. I am one of those who normally doesn't give a review (I know, one of those), regardless if the service was all right or even when it's not-so-great. However, my whole experience with GreenTop is worth writing a review to let people know how great they are to work with. I had contacted a competitor when my furnace started to go on the fritz. Wasn't really ecstatic with the competitor's service, but it did result in them telling me I needed a whole new furnace. Then they said it would AT LEAST take 2-3 days to have one of their technician come out to look at it and they wouldn't even guarantee they could install it the same day. Maybe during another time, that timeframe would be acceptable. Yet, approaching what would be forecasted as one of the coldest set of days in the year, that just couldn't work for me. In the middle of night, I was looking for furnace repair and GreenTop popped up due to all their 5-star reviews. I had not previously heard of them and maybe they didn't have reviews ranging in the hundreds of thousands like some others, but the reviews I did read were all spectacular. Either in their customer service or in the quality of the work they did. I did their "Job Estimator" and within a few hours, had been contacted by Ruslan. From that point onward, the customer service was the BEST and he had his crew at my house within an hour. They were super friendly and also very informative as they answered all my questions. By later that morning, I had a new furnace up and running with no disruptions to my day or any ongoing issues. Just in time before the storm hit. I hope that when reading all the reviews, it conveys on how great GreenTop is. They have changed what would have been a bit of sour news (having to buy a new furnace right before a big snow storm) and made it a better experience overall. I already have it in mind to use them to replace my water heater later on this year since they did such a great job and the customer service is exemplary. Thanks Ruslan and crew! read more

Simply the best nicest, thorough, and responsive HVAC contractors I have worked with. I recently used Greentop to replace my gas furnace with a heat pump. After getting quotes from numerous installers, they were among the most competitively priced for the Mitsubishi hyper heat system I wanted. Other companies also with "green" in their name wanted nearly double the cost for the identical hyper heat system, and tried to push me on a worse Diakin system that required backup gas or electric strips. Make sure to quote around! Through out the process Andres and the rest of the team was always extremely prompt to respond and easy to work with. A few weeks later we scheduled in the install and I had our new heat pump! Hena and Mark did a fantastic job on the install working quickly, thoroughly and they even cleaned up after themselves when they were finished! Somehow cleaning up seems to have been forgotten by most other contractors these days. A few months later, I realized that the heat pump they installed was actually the non hyper heat version of the system. Their quote had hyper heat in the description, but the model listed was actually the non-hyper heat. I called Andres back and explained the mixup. I was worried that they would dismiss my request since the job was already completed, but Andres and Greentop supported me through out the process. Since there was shared responsibility for the mixup we agreed to split the cost to upgrade me to the correct hyper heat system. After a few weeks Hena and Mark came back out and swapped out my outdoor unit to the correct hyper heat system in an hour and half start to finish (and they cleaned up again)! Overall I can't recommend these guys enough. read more

They have awesome ratings for a reason. We got estimates from five different companies for replacement of an electric furnace with a heat pump. We limited our selection to those companies that were Mitsubishi Diamond dealers as that was the unit we wanted and we felt that having such a relationship might have some faint extra bit of influence if there were problems. They gave us a very good bid and installed the unit over two days. The install was tricky as we have an older condo with a very tight space for the furnace and a very unhelpful electrical panel location. The installers, Adrian and Sergiy were splendid, working very neatly and leaving zero debris in the house. They observed mask protocols and also wore booties to protect floors and carpets. While that seems obvious, some vendors are not as conscientious. A few holes needed to be cut in the drywall to route wiring and line sets. We were told this in advance and had no issue with that as we can hardly expect a complex bit of equipment to be installed without some cutting of existing walls. They did offer to send a drywall repair person to fix the holes later but we are doing further remodeling so declined that offer. In every case they were responsive, accommodating some calendar changes we needed. The work went smoothly and we are completely delighted with the results. I would have no problem at all recommending Greentop for even the most challenging HVAC jobs. True professionals. BTW the install of my heat pump cut my daily usage by 40% thanks to the daily readout of usage from Seattle Light. read more

Quick scheduling during peak summer heat was one positive. Their installation quote was below others we had seen, which was appealing initially. The unit worked great for 3 years, but then we saw a significant drop in performance even after yearly maintenance. The inverter was installed below ground level in a hole with no drainage--directly violating code requirements. Multiple contractors have confirmed this improper installation will reduce the unit's lifespan, likely due to debris buildup from the improper placement. I've attached a photo of how it was installed -- the concrete pad is below all the dirt that eventually filled in into the hole. The installation should have failed inspection, but oddly enough, we were charged $180 for permits that public records show were never pulled. When confronted, they did agree to correct the issue free of charge, but we ultimately paid another company to fix their work as we'd lost confidence in their competence. In the end, we spent about the same amount we would have paid for a proper installation from the beginning. I cannot recommend this company to others seeking proper, code-compliant HVAC installation. If you do work with them, I'd just suggest reading up on codes and double checking the work before signing off. I suspect that the person who came out to do our install might have been a subcontractor, as this was a very busy summer. It's possible that their normal installers are much more thorough. read more

Green Top Heating & Cooling was one of several companies that I had contacted for estimates on a Mini Split ductless heating system. Ruslan B. (the owner) arrived and did a walk through and suggested what would be the most beneficial for my home. I was given a detailed estimate which outlined exactly what you were purchasing (equipment, model number, etc.) on the same day. There was no up sell, just plain honest answers which was greatly appreciated. Their pricing was competitive; however Green Top Heating & Cooling was my choice based on integrity. Ruslan, Vova and Roma arrived on time and did a phenomenal job installing a Mitsubishi 2 Zone mini split ductless system. The team worked so well together and took great pride in their work. They ensured that my bamboo floors were protected and anything else that was nearby and cleaned up all the areas they worked in. From start to finish, the installation was completed in about six hours. Couldn't have asked for a more professional and knowledgeable team of installers. Ruslan explained how to use the system and answered any questions that I had until I was satisfied. I am enjoying my system and wished I installed this a long time ago. Ruslan of Green Top has been a pleasure to work with on my heat pump installation project. I had several bids done and he was excellent at communicating with me from the beginning to end. His price was initially very fair and he gave me three price options for different units. After some discussion about electrical changes in my box, he was actually able to lower the bid a bit. During the inspection he noted a problem with my existing heating unit filter and offered a solution before the work was started. With the subsequent changes in required work habits due to the virus, the price initially quoted was not changed, even though the costs for him had to be higher due to the measures needed to protect both his workers and the occupants. The work started on time and was done professionally. Ruslan sent before, during and after pictures as I could not be there when the work was done. GreenTop has been the absolute best. From the moment Andres stepped into my home I felt at ease. He knew exactly was he was doing and made the impossible possible. I had three estimates before Andres arrived to my home - none of them could do what I wanted. Andres made every effort to provide the best estimate possible. Crawling around every attic space, on and off ladders, really looking at what I was asking him to do and, every step of the way, it was "no problem." He accomplished what no one else could. Andres is the best! Scheduling with Andres and Vera was the easiest thing ever. They moved quickly and they were able to get the job done fast in this heat. GreenTop Heating saved the day! After moving into my new place, I realized one of the vents wasn't blowing any air at all. As a new homeowner, I had no idea what could be wrong or how serious the issue might be. I called GreenTop Heating, and their response was incredibly prompt. They managed to send a technician to my home the very same day - talk about efficient service! The technician was both professional and honest. He only charged a $1 diagnostic fee to assess the situation. It turned out that a simple cap was blocking the vent, causing the lack of airflow. Instead of trying to complicate the issue or suggest unnecessary repairs, he quickly resolved the problem. What impressed me most was their fair pricing. The technician only charged the minimum fee for his service. It's rare to find a heating company that prioritizes customer satisfaction over making a quick buck. It's hard to put into words how great of an experience we had working with GreenTop on the installation of our new air handler. First, after waiting over 2 months to get an estimate from another company, I contacted GreenTop Heating and they sent an Estimator, Andres, to our house the same day. Andres was personable and professional, on-time, and was able to give us a quote before he left. On install day, two technicians, Vovochik and Igor, performed the work. We have recently been remodeling and upgrading parts of our home, and working with GreenTop's technicians was night and day different than other contractors. Their work was flawless, they were in and out, and everyone was super professional. Finally, I mistakingly thought that I had ordered a specific smart thermostat (a Nest), that was not compatible with the heating/cooling unit. Andres, Vovochik, and Igor bent over backwards to make sure I was happy with my install, even though the mistake was mine, not theirs. Truly superior customer service, which is so rare these days. Hats off. I couldn't recommend Greentop more highly. Outstanding company. Outstanding people! Responsive. Thorough. Diligent. Unbeatable service. Unbeatable pricing. We love our new Mitsubishi ductless system. Our fifty-plus year old house is built into a steep incline in many levels. The third zone required ingenuity and critical thought. Separated by two flights of stairs it seemed impossible to accomplish without creating enormous cosmetic problems inside. Andres assured us if anyone could they would. Thinking out-of-the-box Volodymyn and Sergey did just that. Things got iffy again when we discovered our long outdated electrical panel couldn't support our plan.That's when I discovered Ruslan is a man of his word in every regard. I just had a new Gas Furnace + AC installed by GreenTop. Getting the quote for cost: Got quote via messaging after read about reviews here and compared with a few other company plans. The good thing is that they cut the commission-based sales layer thus cut cost for customer. And reduce the stress of high pressure sales from traditional sales person. Safe me time as well. Ruslan get back to me in a few hours and tailor the system for my focus. Very smooth process. Installation: The crew show up on time, skilled and shows courtesy. They did wonderful job. I like their honesty and can feel they value customer satisfaction very much. An example is that on the installation day they found my existing furnace was downflow style that they could not get the same style brand+equipment in time, and mixing furnace of other brand is hustle. They ended up substituting a high efficiency model while honor original quoted price. I am happy with this new HVAC system so far and looking forward to work with them for maintenance. I needed to upgrade my heat pump/air conditioning system 6/2025 and contacted several companies for an estimate. Greentop was quick to respond, Alex came by the next day and assessed my current system and provided options for an upgrade. He was very knowledgeable and gave me a detailed written estimate the same day.. It took another company 14 days to provide an estimate. The cost for the recommended system was very competitive and installation could be completed the following week! On the scheduled installation day, Hennadii, and Roma arrived on time and did a quality job installing the new HP and Air handler. They cleaned up all debris before leaving. I've had the new system for about a month and everything works as it should. I was so impressed with this entire company that I'v erecommended them to others . Our gas furnace suddenly stopped working on the night of Dec. 08,2024. Called up 3 contractors and compared them side by side. One of them gave a very detailed description of work while GreenTop did not. However, I took a chance to take them due to limited funds since they are the lowest. After signing off the contract, they came exactly at the appointed time of 8:30 am, the guys brought several rugs to avoid dirtying my newly installed wood floors, they work diligently and efficiently for the next 7 hrs, barely taking a break except during lunchtime for 30 minutes. They meticulously did their job in a very clean and professional manner. They even clean and vacuum nicely the base where the new furnace is to be installed. I called Greentop for a bid on a furnace replacement and was provided an appointment for the next business day. Andres came to my house to give me a bid, arriving on schedule and not only did he give me a quote right away but he told me they could have it installed that week. I called the next day and got the job scheduled. Mark arrived on schedule to do the install and got started right away. Andres showed up after a bit and helped until his first appointment. The furnace I had installed in my previous house (by another company) took almost all day, mostly because the techs were often going back to the shop to get something they needed for the install. Mark had no such issues. He was very prepared; had everything he needed in his van and he just did the job. The new furnace was installed, running well and the area cleaned up all inside 3 hours. I called Greentop Heating & Cooling late yesterday because my husband thought the blade on our Mitsubishi heat pump unit was bent. Greentop had installed it two years ago and we have been very happy with our experience with them and the product. They came first thing this morning at the time they said they would be here and did a thorough inspection of all the inside and outside units. They explained the mechanics of the unit and found everything working properly. I asked if I could pay him for the service call and he said they never charge for diagnostics. He was so gracious and professional I almost felt bad for not paying him! Everything from their timely response to their communication with the customer is incredible. I could not be happier with my experience with GreenTop Heating & Cooling. I got several quotes for a new Mitsubishi furnace and heatpump and GreenTop was the clear choice. Andres was extremely helpful when he came out to give a replacement estimate and set the tone for the whole process: thorough, quick, attentive, and respectful. I accepted their bid the day after they came out for the estimate and they had me on the schedule within a week. I am writing this on install day 2/2 and thrilled with the work so far. They show up on time, work really hard, don't complain, and clean up after themselves. Not much more I can ask for. Thank you, GreenTop! Our furnace was putting out horrible smelling gas into the air and needed to be replaced basically immediately. Ruslan responded to my e-mail inquiry within 15 minutes - on a Sunday night. He quickly put together an appointment for an install less than twelve hours from when I contacted him, and sent an estimate that was right in line with what I was expecting to pay. This outfit was amazing. They were professional and provided quality work. And they took care of us in ONE day. Returning home from a few days away, found our 26 y/o furnace had died - 30 degrees outside. After spending hours reading reviews, etc, I contacted some firms. All but one wanted to send out an estimator in the next few days, one was 2 weeks out and a 3rd out 3 weeks. Another wanted to spend 2 hours "evaluating our needs." Green Top returned my inquiry immediately requesting photos of the furnace and had a bid to us in the next hour. The bid was shockingly high, and I had concerns about what the rep was suggesting: he suggested locating the condenser in the alley and the register, inside, near the floor. He was also keen to sell me a three-year service agreement for the heat pump. I contacted Greener Cleaner and the owner, Robert, came out and gave me a considerably lower estimate for the installation of the mini split, and offered to service the heat pump free of charge if I decided to go with his company. Robert told me that he'd once installed a condenser in an alley and it had been vandalized, costing the customer many thousands of dollars. (The photo he showed me of the cannibalized condenser was worth a thousand words.) He advised locating the condenser inside my fenced yard. He also suggested that the register be placed higher up on the wall as this would most effectively heat/cool the ADU. Greener Cleaner came a week later and completed the job in one day, both the installation of the mini split and the service of the heat pump. The three gentlemen who did the work were exceedingly competent, polite, and left everything clean. Robert called me directly midday and at the end of the day to see if I had any questions and if I was satisfied with the work. I appreciated the communication! I suspect that Washington Energy services had just grown too big and doesn't feel the need to be competitive. I'm glad I went with Greener Cleaner!

I thought that was strange, but I told him that that needed to be the amount when they got here too, and he assured me it would be. I made the appointment for the day after Super Bowl and they were to arrive between 9:00 and 10:00 AM, texting me before they arrived. I finally got a text around 9:20 AM telling me that the technician was sick and we could schedule for any other day that week. Sounded suspiciously like a hangover to me, but whatever. When they finally got here and removed the filters, I was advised it was now going to be $50 more. I had explained that I had a small house fire inside, but we had cleaned all of the filters and now they are stained. I even asked Jeffrey if I didn't want to pay the extra money, was he gonna just put everything back together and go away? I could see by his expression that was not going to happen so there was nothing I could do. I'm an elderly woman and I already told them since it was only $149, I wouldn't even ask for a senior discount but now they raised the price so I was very disappointed. As they were working, and I came back out into my garage, I caught Jeffrey talking on the phone about my water heater and putting a sticker on it. I told him stickers were OK, but I didn't know it was that big... not only did he put a giant sticker on something he wasn't working on, but he threw the backing on the floor of my garage! When they left, I looked at the unit, and all of the lights were flashing red. At first he had said that the filters would have to dry and then plug in the face plate later, but he plugged it in immediately and it didn't look happy. I texted the workmen and got no response. Finally, the owner responded and told me to hit the reset button. There was still one light flashing bright red after I reset. I had to have my husband work on it when he got home to get the red light to go away. It was very stressful for me overall, but I guess the job did get done... time will tell. It doesn't look like they cleaned anything on my outside unit either. I hope they do better with other people. It could have been just a bad set of circumstances but being "sick" on a Monday after the Super Bowl seems weird knowing that it could be done any other day of the week so the person couldn't have been too sick.

The efficiency of the new HVAC is a noticeable upgrade from the last, a system that came with our (new at purchase--now, 22 y.o.) home. Though the system lasted us a long time, it was never the right BTU for the size of the house. The old HVAC thermometer was around 6 or 7 degrees off. Plus, there were always cold (during winter months) and hot (during summer months) spots at the farthest corners of the house. Now, the uniformity of the temperature throughout the house makes it seem like a new and improved home. Hopefully, this will last a very long time. We are only 7 weeks out from the fresh install. Efer (owner) was very knowledgeable. He was communicative with my questions via text beforehand, and Alec was very informative and gave me the quote at the beginning of this project.
