Greentop completed a furnace replacement for me and were good overall. I worked with Andres on the quote and options and they were very competitive and had a good option in stock for a quick install. Andres was very responsive to my questions and were open to handling the permit, which is often a challenge with other contractors. Adrian showed up promptly for install, arriving on time and got right to work. He was very thorough and the install looked great when he got done. You can tell he takes pride in his work. The issue I had with Greentop is the warranty registration, which was incorrectly registered with my name and contact info as the dealer. I traded a couple e-mails with Vera and was then ghosted. I ended up calling the manuf myself to have them at least correct the name of the dealer on my warranty registration to Greentop. They advised they couldn't change the contact info. I had install a part to fix ac. Tech put on part. Blew up another part and blew a fuse. I agreed to get new system. Paid half day of. Then I asked about financing info that was mentioned and wanted to see if I would qualify. I did not receive info until two days before scheduled appointment. I had a procedure day before did not see email canceling my appointment because a tech was in hospital until I already had taken day off from work. Then they say any financing has to be approved before appointment. No one said that and I could still pay cash if need be. To cancel day off appointment basically is not good. I could have still paid cash. Communication is not good. Then I of course said I was not happy and then they said they were not going to make any profit off this job anyway. Wow they did say they would refund me my over $3,000 cash paid day 1. Only to be cancelled on basically day of appointment. I had not seen email that was sent at 4:30 day before until 7 am next day. I already took day off. From my procedure night before I was sore and tired and did not see it. Who would be happy about be canceled like that! Plus all about the profits! read more

There was some minor gargling sound when I turned on the AC, called Greentop and they sent John who arrived promptly and already had a plan to add a condensation trap to fix the issue. Not only did he fix the issue, but he also noticed a tiny imperfection in the alignment of the coil. Instead of letting that one go because it's not a huge deal, he came down from my attic (super hard to access and super hot), then up again to make it perfect. John also went ahead and registered my AC for warranty for me which doubles the duration of my warranty. Such a perfectionist! This review is for the estimate only- I was having a heat pump put in and called several places to get a few estimates. Greentop has an AI to schedule, which was convenient, but also not personable. The day of the estimate, a kid came out and spent about ten minutes looking in the garage. Other places spent a lot of time asking about our house set up, our preferred temperature, and doing calculations to make sure we got what we needed. This kid was in and out in ten minutes tops, and then we were sent the estimate. After receiving the estimate, I started getting text messages from the owner asking what he can do to win my job because he "needs to keep his crew busy." The messages were hounding, and none of them were actually about wanting to help me get a system I needed. The installation of the new furnace into the former tight location in the middle of the house and the connection to existing ducts, took only four hours. The service tech laid down floor covering leaving the carpet clean. They also applied for a Seattle mechanical permit, registered the system and scheduled an inspection. Their diagnostics were accurate when I called them to look at a problem with our furnace, and they don't charge a fee to come out and look which seems to be a rarity in this business. After several estimates from various companies, we ultimately had a cracked heat exchanger and needed a furnace replacement. Bummer. Everyone at Greentop is friendly, and they are on time when they send someone out. There can at times be a bit of a language barrier, but with a little patience it's easy to find a common understanding and it did not impact the diagnostics or any part of the install. We ended up going with Greentop for our furnace replacement. They sent Oleksiy out with an assistant for the install. It went smoothly, the job was completed in the amount of time they estimated, and Oleksiy even fixed a couple of additional components to our furnace exhaust system along the way. While we weren't planning on replacing our furnace, it ended up being a significant upgrade from the old system and we are enjoying the additional comfort. Five starts for Greentop Heating and cooling! Our Rheem brand gas furnace stopped working several days before Thanksgiving. We had a competitor company come to our place for a diagnostic and they told us that the problem was the motherboard and some type of switch. When the motherboard and switch were both in the technician observed that a THIRD part was needed--a serial communication memory module, which was on severe back order from Rheem. Long story short, we spent the entire winter without a furnace! (kept warm with a hodgepodge of fireplace insert, infrared ceiling panels and portable heaters). By early February, we still did not have a working furnace! We asked WA Energy to refund the diagnostic fee (they did) and reached out to Greentop Heating and Cooling because of their stellar reviews on Yelp. Guess what? Greentop revealed that our motherboard is not even broken! The simple problem was the interface between the furnace and the thermostat. They fixed it in 24 hours and we have been enjoying (finally!) a warm home for a fraction of the price that WA Energy had quoted us. Greentop was extremely responsive, had clear communication, charged a fair price, and was quickly and accurately able to get our heat back on. I hired GreenTop Heating & Cooling to help clean a clogged dryer vent duct upon hearing about the company through a friend. The dryer vent duct goes out of the 2nd floor roof, which I initially worried would be difficult to access. The technician Olexii showed up fully equipped with an extra tall ladder to reach the roof and cleaned out the dryer duct from the roof using special duct cleaning equipment. He then proceeded to clean the dryer end of the duct from inside the laundry room, disconnecting and reconnecting the dryer in the process. Olexii was extremely detailed and professional from start to finish. The pricing is also very reasonable. Will definitely use GreenTop again for future services! read more
