I MOST HIGHLY recommend Level Up Attic and Crawlspace! My wife and I own a "big footprint" one-story rambler in Mill Creek that was built in 1985. That means we have a very expansive attic and dirt-surfaced crawlspace. We've owned the house for five years and had a suspicion that the blown-in attic insulation was from the original construction and that the crawlspace was extremely humid from the moist soil. So, after reading glowing reviews for Level Up, I gave them a call and a wonderful lady named Julia came out to give us a thorough inspection. To our horror, she found extensive evidence (showing us photo proof) of wide-spread and recent rat activity in the attic. The insulation was "ratty" both figuratively and literally. And the plastic covering in the crawl space dirt was in poor condition with rips and gaps. After inviting Julia to write up an estimate to remediate these conditions, it became a no-brainer to hire Level Up to do the very big job. Exactly on time on the day of work-start, their guy Sam arrived with a crew and got right to work. Over three days of non-stop, difficult work (which included both a Saturday and Sunday), they vacuumed out all the old attic insulation, sealed all possible rodent entry openings, and installed new R-49 batten insulation. They then removed all the old plastic from the crawl space, sealed all vents and potential pest entry points, and encapsulated the entire space with white plastic. To ensure a dry mold-free enclosure, they installed two brand new dehumidifiers (with WiFi connection to an app to monitor/control them) and a new sump pump. To be honest, this all was a little pricey, but to maintain the integrity and energy efficiency - and resale value - of our home, the cost was well worth it. Both Julia and Sam were extremely knowledgeable and did everything to make sure I was happy with the work, which was completed on time and with no additional surprise costs. I hired Level Up Attic and Crawl to clean my attic, do mold remediation, air seal, install new bathroom vent, vent my bathroom vents outside, and install new insulation for my attic. It was a good size job that took 2 days and a team of people. Nick came out to do an estimate and I asked him a ton of questions and he was happy to answer all of them. He was polite and very informative with the answers he gave. On the day they started, Sam was the amazing project manager. He and his crew kept everything very clean. Our hallway and corridor had plastic sheeting to protect my home while they took out all the old insulation without making the rest of my house dirty or dusty. He also took extra care to protect my hardwood flooring from getting damaged. The entire team was so polite, friendly and they worked extremely hard to clean out all the old insulation and ensure they removed all the mold in my attic. Sam also asked me if wanted a free crawlspace inspection while he was there, and found out that I had rodents living in my crawlspace! I ended up having them do rodent proofing as well. He also cleaned all the rodent droppings and made the space smell fresh again. I called approximately 3-4 companies to give me an estimate. I would like to highly recommend Level up Attic & Crawl space. I've worked with many different contractors at my house and Level Up is Great company to work with. During the big storms this lat December my crawl space flooded with 2-1/2 feet of water. This compromised the inland some of the HVAC ducting. After having the drainage issues fixed, I called Level Up. They are a locally owned business, that had great reviews. They quickly arrived, inspected the crawl space and presented me with a written plan. I was surprised to learn that PSE had rebates on new insulation upgrades, vapor barrier and air sealing which Level Up handled and got the necessary PSE approvals. My house was built in 1985 and had R-13 insulation in the crawl space joists. New code is R-30. Sam and his team arrived as scheduled and got to work under the house and removed the wet insulation, ducting and the 4 mill vapor barrier. Everything was replaced better than new in 2 days! I had an electrical contractor come the next day for some additional electrical work, he said it was the nicest trawl space he's ever seen. I agree. R-30 insulation, all my water pipes were insulated ( which were just out in the open) , main ductwork was wrapped, beautiful. If you're looking to hire a crawl space contractor, this is this is a Great choice. They went above and beyond. In fact, they did such a fantastic job, I hired them to re- insulate my attic. The attic also had R-15 insulation. Again, PSE rebates helped tremendously making this a great value for money. They vacuumed out the blown in insulation, air sealed everything, rodent proofed every possible entry point and replaced with premium Knauf R-49 insulation upgrades, what a difference! 4 inches of insulation is now 12 inches thick.
