The owner, Jo, was very knowledgable and easy to talk to. He was always willing to jump on the phone to answer any questions, which I appreciated a lot. My house was built prior to 1989 so I received a nice PSE rebate for the work. On the day of, Jo's crew were quick and efficient and provided Before and After photos. They removed my old vapor barrier and insulation and replaced with new one, added new dryer vent duct and flapper, and added new roof vents for all my bathroom fans, and much more. I was able to ask them questions during and provided water and snacks to them for their hard work. The crew respected my home and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. After the work was completed, I thanked Jo for making this all possible and being easy to work with. We went over some of the After pictures together over the phone to help me learn about everything and ask additional questions. They even sent a crewmember to come back for a 2-week follow-up on the work to make sure everything still looks good. I highly recommend Isulation Co. We had another contractor remediate mold in our attic, so I requested bids from 3 companies to install new insulation. Jo responded almost immediately with a bid based on the dimensions of our attic (he consulted the King County Parcel Viewer site to determine them). The other companies scheduled inspections. These were great for my ego: apparently I am very fit for my age, have excellent taste, and I'm very nice, so they offered me 'special discounts' . However, when I compared the bids for equivalent services, Insulation Co was significantly less expensive. No 'special discount' required; just straightforward pricing. The crew arrived on time, were careful to protect our property, and did excellent work. They took photos of their work and reviewed them with me. We had an issue with a switch for our bathroom fan that I mistakenly suspected was related to the installation. Bought a 1958 house which had a mix of vermiculate and batting insulation in the attic, along with mold in the attic due to a bathroom vent that terminated in the attic since the 1950s. I called several insulation companies, and the estimate process with Jo at Insulation Co. was the easiest. I called and explained what I needed, and I got an official email listing out the price right after the phone call. The estimate was crystal clear because it included a list of all of the changes that would be made. The price was good and they could schedule me very quickly. The guys were very efficient with the install and very respectful of my home, kept the work area clean, and answered all of my questions. I needed my attic insulation replaced, and my crawlspace cleaned, sealed against rodent intrusion, and re-insulated. Jo's team showed up promptly. After removing the existing blown-in attic installation, they replaced a flexible bathroom vent pipe with metal, sealed it with mastic, and insulated it. They also sealed other vents before reinsulating them, and filled a number of cracks with spray foam before blowing in the new insulation. They custom-built a new crawlspace hatch for us, cleaned up the crawlspace, replaced all the insulation, and installed plastic sheeting. They did an excellent job, completing it sooner than I would have believed, and for a reasonable price. A++ read more

I hired the Insulation Co and it was the right choice. First let me say if you need crawl space services I whole heartedly recommend this company. The owner Jo, was so responsive, he listened to my needs and concerns, and every time I reached out to him prior to the work being done and even after it was done, he was so quick to respond. I will also add, Jo was very patient with my many questions. I needed the crawl space cleaned, sealed, and new heating ducts installed. This was a very difficult job as the crawl space has very low clearances. They did so many things like disinfecting, wrapping the plumbing, sealing the new ducting, sealing the crawl space from outside intruders. Very thorough!!! I cannot say enough good about the job the crew did, 4 folks the first day and 3 the second day. Raphael was the team lead and he was great to work with, he listened to the concerns that I had and kept me updated throughout the two day job. Raphael, would show me pictures when I had questions about things under the house. He was awesome to work with. My crawl space entry is in a small clothes closet in a carpeted room and this was a dirty job but you would not even know they had been here.
