***Please note -- I updated my review from 1 to 5 stars. Terra Firma took the initiative to reach…read moreout and assess any next steps needed to correct the problem. Trust is 100% restored knowing that if problems come up they will take any action needed to follow up. I will also say that the work they originally did was actually to code, and we agreed that the moisture problems arose due to the nonstandard setup of my dehumidifier, NOT because of errors in Terra Firma's work. Thank you Terra Firma.*** Unfortunately, I have to drop a negative review in the interest of warning other folks that their work has gone downhill. I previously had an excellent experience with Terra Firma for management of a water problem in my crawlspace. I hired them without question again for my current property for management of moisture issues, and I didn't check their work upon completion as thoroughly as I should have. Unfortunately, about 1 - 2 months after completion of work, I discovered a large mushroom growing out of one of the structural posts in my crawl/basement. On closer inspection, I noticed that the dehumidifier water discharge line they installed was dumping less than a foot away from my foundation, corresponding to the exact spot the mushroom was growing. Moisture was the exact problem they were supposed to fix, but now they have created a severe structural problem secondary to moisture with the dehumidifier line dumping large quantities of water right next to my foundation. In other words, they created the exact issue they were purporting to fix by collecting the moisture and depositing it into my foundation. Once fruiting bodies are growing out of wood, this is an indicator that the wood is severely compromised and the fungus network has grown extensively. I now have a very expensive and serious problem to fix. I called to let them know about the problem, not sure if I will hear back from the coordinator/ the team who did the work. I am not sure if I would trust them to fix the issue after the damage they have caused, but I would accept financial remediation. If they take steps to make things right, I would update my review. I would not hire Terra Firma again for any crawlspace work, be it structural or moisture related because of the big problem they have caused. Again, just would like to warn others.

TerraFirma sent over an estimator, then scheduled repairs. They were done in less than one working day and provided photos. They laid down paper to protect the floor as they were working. Due to another issue found, had to reschedule a second day to come out and install a supporting beam in the crawlspace. Different crew but were as professional and clean as the first. Folks in the office were helpful and responded quickly. Would hire again if needed.

We signed our contract with Kingdom Builders in October 2020 and paid just over $10,000 as a…read moredeposit to begin a kitchen remodel project. Shortly after receiving our deposit, representatives from the company made two brief visits to our home. After that, communication abruptly stopped. Phone calls went unanswered, and mail sent to their listed address was returned as undeliverable. We spent well over a year attempting to locate and contact the company regarding our project and deposit. Eventually, with the help of a friend, we discovered the business had moved from its Sumner, WA storefront to a location in Yelm without notifying us as customers. Based on the company's website and branding, we believed they operated as a faith-based or Christian business, which made this experience even more disappointing for our family. We were able to locate a phone number for one of the owners as well as the new business address. Multiple additional messages were left, but again, no response was ever received. A friend in the construction industry assisted us further and uncovered records -- later confirmed with the State of Washington -- showing that between 8/15/2020 and 2/4/2021, the contractor's license was suspended and there was no valid or active bond in place. As a final attempt to resolve the matter, we sent a certified letter, which was returned marked "refused." Additional calls also went unanswered. At this point, we are pursuing legal action to recover our deposit, along with costs associated with certified mailings, time spent attempting to resolve the matter, and legal fees. We provided numerous opportunities for the company to address the situation and make things right, but those efforts were ignored. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend that anyone considering using Kingdom Builders proceed with extreme caution and do thorough research before entering into a contract. The following email was received from the State of Washington: Dear Sir: Thank you for submitting your contractor fraud referral regarding Kingdom Builders Const LLC. After reviewing your referral, the contract was signed 10/2020 and no work was performed. Our registration records indicate the contractor was suspended between 8/15/2020 to 2/4/2021 with no valid bond on file. Labor and Industries does not have authority to go back to 2020 to issue RCW18.27 unregistered contractor non-compliance violations.
