    24/7 Flood & Fire
    Trista H.

My wife and I have a downstairs bathroom that we rarely use. On one of the few occasions that we used the bathroom, we noticed a greenish/blackish discoloration on the wall. The wall itself wasn't wet; however, upon further research, we discovered that the vanity had water damage. The water leak was unclear so we contacted 24/7 Flood & Fire to locate the leak source. A non-refundable deposit is required to locate leak source. We chose to apply our deposit towards 24/7 remediation services. Once initial contact was made, Will, was in continuous contact with us. We are located in Everett and it was nice to know estimated timeframes of arrival. It took Will less than 10 minutes to locate the leak source. Leak source was a small pin hole in the water pipe located in our garage that the home builders erroneously made while installing the bathroom vanity. Once the leak was located, we had to hire a plumber to repair the pipe. After plumbing was fixed, we called Will back to advise that remediation services could begin. Will set up heavy-duty fans and dehumidifiers to dry and dehumidify affected areas. It took three days to satisfactorily dry out the area, with Will checking the percentage each day. Our bathroom was dry and mold-free once Will had performed his duties. We were responsible for disposal of the vanity. 24/7 works with insurance companies as well. By submitting their invoice directly to the insurance company on our behalf, that was one less step that we had to worry about during this difficult time. I hope to never need home restoration again, but if I do, I'm happy to know that 24/7 is there to help with our needs.

It's been a year since these guys helped me through one of the most stressful times of my life and their work has held up great. Just one day after putting the new roof on my house we had a dishwasher that failed and flooded the heck out of our kitchen seeping under a galley style half wall and ruined the cabinets and flooring. To our dismay the insurance agent assigned to us was based in Phoenix and was extremely reluctant to help us saying Washington was a "moist state" despite all the clear evidence of failure. These guys helped back us up and arm us with good information to help with the claims process This company is a one stop shop for everything you may need. A two headed power house (remediation and repair) that gets it done and is great to work with as well. The first crew on the remediation side came out and deconstructed my floor in the kitchen and other side of the half wall, cabinets, lower parts of the drywall, and assessed the damage. They also set up an array of dehumidifiers and fans till everything was dried out. The repair side was nothing but a pleasure to work with as well. Great group of guys coming in everyday with good attitudes just knocking it out. Since things were so torn up with the flood damage I used this as an opportunity on a complete remodel with new lighting, turning a half wall into an island, having plumbing and electrical rerouted, turning a sliding glass door into a window and a window into French doors, new siding from window/door switch, and a gas lined plumbed in so I could switch to a gas oven. They did it all and they did it well and my kitchen is much more functional and living space feels amazing. They even allowed me to do some of the painting and flooring on my own to save a little and take a learning experience as well. I'm no tradesman myself so during the process I had questions on how they were doing things and why they were doing it that way and I was met with educational and reassuring info. I was worried it was sounding like maybe I was being too paranoid or picky but they were very reassuring and patient with me. Like I said I'm no tradesmen but I have climbed into my crawl space and attic just to check out how all the new electrical and plumbing was laid out and it all looks clean and great. After the original drying we got a few quotes for the remodel and other places wouldn't let me do the flooring or paint and their quotes came in at around 2x as much. If anyone I know ever finds themselves in a need for remediation work I will not hesitate for a second to recommend this company. Great people doing great things to help in very stressful times.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I had flooding in my house and referred to call this company. They said the leak was from the roof causing the wet floor, however it was from sewer line blockage ended up causing me whole basement flooded with sewer water. Had this company detected early enough when they first came out figured out that it was from the plumbing issue, my basement would have not been damaged this much. Spoke to owner and not only they did not admit it but also won't give my money back. Because technician came out. What a joke. I am pursuing further legal action. They need to learn to be responsible. Just be aware.

These guys were awesome. We had a hole in our galvanized plumbing that created a sewage mess under the house, and got a bunch of quotes to clean up after the fix. Not only were 24/7 the most reasonably priced by far, their communication and punctuality were on point. Best of all, the crew of two (Eric and Rex) were super friendly and fun to talk to, and they did a perfect job with cleanup and barrier replacement. A++++, 10/10.

This is a portion of what my kitchen looked like when they finished.

The mitigation team came out when a burst pipe flooded the underside of my kitchen. They tore everything apart, cleared the asbestos and the air. Then the nightmare began. Their reconstruction company was supposed to do the repair work to get my home livable. The quote they gave was, according the the insurance company, padded with unneeded things. So things stalled at that point. I asked for another estimate and the final one was twice what the adjuster said it should be. At that point 24/7 withdrew from the job. All of this started in July. It is now October, my house is still sitting as they left it, open to the elements and unsafe to even enter. I have been in a motel since then. I have no idea now what to do or where to turn. My husband died a few months before this began and I am now homeless. Let them do the mitigation, but find someone else for the repairs. Beyond Angry.

I spoke with several companies who were unhelpful over the phone or charging ridiculous fees just to come out and provide an estimate. Mathew, the owner of Puget Sound Water Rescue was timely in his responsiveness over the Yelp App (on a Sunday afternoon) and ultimately provided us the perspective and information that we needed to determine whether or not professional remediation services were warranted at this point. Ultimately we determined with his help that they were not. Despite the fact that we did not end up hiring (anyone), his knowledge, honesty, and helpfulness were 5 stars worthy. He then also looked at another issue we had and provided honest unbiased information about plumbers and contractors. He also provided a lot of small tips to prevent moisture and leaks in the future. I called Green Planet from seeing their excellent review history and local family ownership, and they aligned their inspection to suit my availability the next day, and the owner David sent their very capable and friendly project manager JJ. He surveyed the areas and two things became clear: he knows his craft and summarizes his findings very well, and he came to our home prepared for any eventuality with his drywall and remediation team resources to inspect as well as perform the work if we chose to (which we did). After pulling the baseboards and carpet lips back, analyzing water/humidity levels within the walls and materials and checking the inner wall beams and studs, he determined it was not black mold and could be normally cleaned as some form of soot/dirt accumulation. This put us at ease for that part. Then on to the shower area, where he not only examined the MDF baseboard area but also checked telltale signs above on the upper wall sand ceiling inside the shower and even in the towel closet. He correctly removed the shower ceiling itself and a few inches of the upper walls, ad well as some of the lower wall adjacent to the baseboard damage to get the complete picture of where mold had been hiding. His team remediated the shower itself along with the attic roof plywood sheeting and trusses which also had some mold growth. And THEN he even realized the mold went a little further beyond so they also removed a small area in the adjacent second bedroom and uncovered the other portion of that same mold stretch on the attic sheets and trusses of our roofing underside. After finding and treating it all, the verdict was that the outer roof (replaced new 5 years prior) was a likely source at one time of a leak, in addition to the contributions made by the shower area and steam buildup due to a 18-inch soffit dropdown lip from the ceiling forming a typical "shower cup" that traps steam and does not vent it properly. JJ also suggested (which we are now doing) to remove the soffit entirely and make it a smooth ceiling since we have a contractor already there and it is not load bearing, and to add a newer fan with humidity sensing if possible, to prevent a repeat of this happening. So they recommended smart things to do beyond just remediation and restoration. All of this operation was done under strict quarantine of the areas affected, sealing off the work areas with tape-sealed zippered access liner walls and appropriate ventilation and drying units, since you do not want anything to spread of be inhaled just in case. JJ was clear about the first estimate and then the second estimate in the adjacent bedroom once they realized they had to extend it. So pricing was both reasonable and accurately estimated. I was present for various stages seeing the progress and getting an explanation for anything I was curious about. Again, I would heartily recommend Green Planet for any services they offer, if this job is an indication of the quality and care they put into doing their work.

We called several emergency water restoration companies, but Green Planet Restoration was the only one able send someone out to access our situation that day. David, our field supervisor, thoroughly inspected the damage and gave us an honest and careful outlook about the restoration process. Optimistically planning on insurance coverage, but realistically expecting denial, he made sure that all work and costs were approved by us before and throughout the insurance process. Thankfully we ended up being covered, and David helped negotiate on our behalf. Olman, our project manager, was attentive and communicative. He kept us up to date with all the work and progress, and helped us coordinate with the workers we had coming and going for several weeks. The crew working on the house was excellent, too! Giovanni walked us through the work, and helped us when we wanted to make adjustments. We made some pretty drastic changes to our spaces, installing LVP in both rooms and painting the wall and ceiling a dark color in one of them. These big upgrades were easily handled. At no point did we ever feel like we were left hanging or out of the loop. Even throughout the payment process, with several hiccups with our insurance checks, they were kind, patient, and understanding. Green Planet Restoration and their team help make a nightmare of a situation much easier to manage. Thank you to the whole team!
