I have decided just now to look up Flood Guys on yelp, which is a little late, as they are two days into ripping up my kitchen. I will remedy this review if they remedy my concerns in progress as we speak. I've called Zach whom I only spoke with a few times and then never again..,but really he should have kept in touch start to finish. Understanding exactly who the contact person is after a job starts May be a way for companies to pass the buck, but really, it's necessary to have s contact person start to finish, when demolishing and putting back together your beloved home. There are some reviews on here that show me I might possibly have a reason for my concerns. I've seen the owner Cory speak up to explain things which is honorable but some things could be remedied beforehand, rather than later, If the company is growing to fast, with less than desirable results it may appear it's time to slow down for quality control issues. ...to be continued before I place my complaints I will give them a chance to make good on their promises... read more

I have used The Flood Guys twice for water damage mitigation, most recently for a toilet that has been making for about a year. They are responsive, professional, and thorough. Most recently, Walker & Zach from The Flood Guys have been helping to dry and restore the affected area. Both men have been very professional and extremely detailed. Every part of the house that they needed to access was covered with protective cardboard and plastic, they have done daily tests to check on the humidity levels and have been thorough and consistent in leaving a clean workspace, including HEPA vacuuming before they go. They are also very communicative - I have never once been left to wonder if or when they were coming back. Made an appointment to have what we hoped was a simple mold issue investigated. Josh showed up (after calling) 2 hours ahead of his expected appointment time. He listened to our description, used his equipment to test for leaks, checked the attic space and quickly allayed our concerns about a bigger problem. Austin from The Flood Guys represents the epitome of customer service: We had a water leak that spanned 2 floors and immediately contacted The Flood Guys. Within 24hrs Austin was over and able to assess the damage and walked us through the next steps for drying/mold mitigation. In two weeks, Austin was able to orchestrate the demolition of 2 bathrooms and 4 walls while successfully drying out the area and removing molds. The Flood Guys ghosted me for 2 weeks and then send me a bill. I had a water pipe burst in my garage at 01/14, and the plumber fixing our pipe recommends the Flood Guys for water damage repair. Flood Guys then send an technician to my house at 01/15. The technician took some samples for lead and asbestos testing, told us they will have test result in 1-2 days, and they would come back to remove the affected drywall and dry out the garage in 3-4 days. 4 days later (01/18), no one came back. I called the office, office just gave me technician's phone number. I then called the technician, the technician told me this job got assigned to another technician, and he will remind the 2nd technician to contact me. After wait another 7 days (01/25), I called the office again. Office just gave me the 2nd technician's number and promised the 2nd technician would gave me a call that day. I received a call from the 2nd technician 4 days later (01/29), ask me when I'm available to put me on his schedule. It has been 2 weeks after the initial estimate, the mold would already start to grow. At this time I realized this is NOT a company or crew I'd like to work with. So I told him because you delayed so long I'll work with someone else. BTW, the other company I finally hire finished the whole project(estimate, testing, demolition, dry out) within a week. Now, today(02/07/2024), I receives an email from the Flood Guys office, asking me to pay a $880 bill of lead/asbestos testing. Understandable. But I would strongly recommend anyone to find a more trustable company to work with their water damage repair. read more

Did not seem interested in saving the floors by attempting to dry them in place. Well, fast forward 1 week, i went with another flood company, and my floors are dry, walls un touched, and all back to normal. I had pipes burst in my laundry room and 1/2 bath back in January during the cold snap. Cory and his team showed up at the recommendation of the plumber who fixed the initial damage. The Flood Guys were prompt and efficient. They immediately began work at removing all wet materials from the area and stripped the room down to the studs. They worked fast and cleaned up thoroughly. They were very respectful of my home and property. They provided a very detailed estimate of all the work they did which my insurance company appreciated. Their work is quality and thorough in every aspect. Communication was easy and prompt. Cory even called to check in with me near the end of the job when he was on vacation with his family. We're their returning customer. We had a pretty bad water leak from the hot water line in the crawlspace that damaged a good portion of our living room hallway. We already had a good experience with the Flood Guys and their quality work from our previous restoration work done a few years back so we called them again without any hesitation. Andrew came out the the same day for assessment. He ran very thorough diagnosis and explained all the details on what and how the restoration will be done. Cory and his crew visited the following day and started the restoration immediately. Since the first day, Walker and Ali came almost everyday to check on the progress. Very professional and friendly. There were two other technicians - male and female - who I can't remember the names, but they've done a great job, too. Ten minutes after our scheduled appointment to do a walkthrough of the space, I hadn't heard or seen anything from them, so I called the office. The individual I spoke to seem confused, then took my number and promised to have someone call me back. Twenty minutes after that (30 minutes after our scheduled appointment), I got a text message, not a phonecall, stating that they were supposed to call me on Friday to tell me they wouldn't provide an estimate because I was getting an estimate from someone else as well. Found a leaking pipe, assessed water damage and provided recommendations to remediate. Upon discovering dripping water in our basement, I called Apollo Plumbing for an emergency callout and repair (will review Apollo separately). The Apollo plumber, upon finding water damage and that the leak was inside ductwork (which he's not permitted to open up), recommended me to contact Cory Frair at The Flood Guys, to request an assessment of the damage, and to assist with opening up the ductwork for repairs. Cory committed to being onsite with his crew at our property within 45mins - and true to his word, they arrived on time. Cory and his crew immediately got work, and began isolating the source of the water leak. This involved him having to climb up into a tiny crawl space between two floors, where he was able to identify the source of the leak - having up opened up the ductwork to allow Apollo Plumbing to ultimately make the repair. Cory then assessed the extent of the water damage - which he concluded to be very minor, and provided me with recommendations that I could do myself to dry out the affected area. I was fully expecting to be hit with a big bill for the investigative work and to remediate the issues - but imagine my surprise when Cory noted that the job was so minor in nature, that they wouldn't charge me for call out or work! read more

Use this company. I had a small leak that got a 4'x4' section of my rug wet, really wet. They responded within 30 minutes. Told me to buy a rug dryer at Home Depot lift the rug up and run it for 3 days because the job was too small and there was not really that much water,. They said the water removal was complete we questioned the water staining on the dry wall we got no resolve. I came home and removed part of the flooring on the other side of the dry wall and found more water damage. When there tech original came out he checked the floor and it showed possible water damage he stated it was just picking up temperature difference. Needless to say we FIRED them as why would we allow them back in our house when they couldn't figure it out the first time. read more

They were quick to show up on a late Saturday night, after our toddler bucketed a bathtub's worth of water onto the floor, which went through the floor into the basement below. They started remediation and drying out immediately and helped us navigate working with our insurance company (thank you Dylan!). Our AC Unit was leaking into the walls and Sean came out with his crew and was extremely helpful in discussing our options.
