I needed to get my dryer vent cleaned. They scheduled for 9-11 and showed up on time at 9:05. The workers cleaned by turning on the dryer and using a snake brush from the outside vent. Envirosmart management contacted me and agreed to honor the $1000 minimum cost for this job, which was in line with 3 other estimates I'd received from Seattle area crawl space/rodent proofing professionals. I always check out contractors through Better Business Bureau plus Washington State Labor & Industries and Dept of Revenue business licenses. The workers completed the work in about 4 hours. They checked out the areas we needed repaired and replaced a large area of missing insulation and plastic barrier. They also checked for evidence of rodent intrusion and filled in a few spots with expanding foam. I am still waiting for the final photos, but am updating this review today. Disappointing. We had someone come out to do an estimate. We asked that they clean and sanitize our ducts and HVAC system. They quoted price with an invoice that seemed to cover what we had asked for (including using the words "HVAC system"). When they got here they said it only covered the ducts and that it would be an additional $330 to do the rest. We explained we asked for both to be done and had understood the quote to cover that. While everyone there was pleasant to deal with we ended up having to pay the extra $330 which does not seem like a fair resolution. read more

I don't leave reviews very often (in fact, I think this is my first). To me, that speaks more to the overall quality of the service I received than anything else I can say. Here's my story: I contacted Envirosmart because I thought there was a dead rodent in one of my HVAC intake vents. They responded promptly to my request for information, set up an appointment, and then contacted me because they were able to come earlier than originally planned - which was great because the smell was bad... They inspected the vent, and pointed out a hole that was made for a water pipe that I (and my exterminator) missed - which they suspected was the real location of the rodent. They ran a brush through the vent just in case and then cleaned and sanitized it, which did help immensely with the smell even if they didn't get the rodent. They also offered to locate the dead critter between the floors and cut a hole to get him out (which they would also return to its prior state), but we weren't ready to go nuclear at that point. Even so, it was a comfort to know that one company could take care of the whole situation for us if necessary. I know it can be hard to go with companies you find through Yelp that don't have a lot of reviews. Honestly, I don't normally choose companies without a lot of reviews either. But in this case, I'm really glad I did. read more

I asked for a quote- luckily for me I was able to get someone out (after they needed to reschedule 1 time already with me). One of the techs, Danny came out and told me he would get me a bid- fast forward 1 week later and after multiple follow ups, Danny informed me that our space wasn't big enough for a new furnace and air conditioning unit. We have quotes from other companies for a similar system that I asked for a quote from Envirosmart for. My 1 star review is driven by the lack of communication by Danny and staff and not being able to provide a quote for any new service at our house. read more

I recently purchased an older home and I don't believe the air ducts had ever been cleaned. I was fortunate to have Sean and Charles as my techs. They were friendly, explained the process to me, showed me before and after photos and cleaned up. They also discovered a major fire hazard. I had scheduled a tune up by a different company and a couple weeks after, my furnace stopped igniting. I called the company that performed the tune up back out and was told to buy a new furnace, a repair was not worth the techs time. I submitted a request on Yelp for help from someone who was willing to work on an old furnace, Envirosmart reached out within the hour, and advised they were happy to help (and that the service fee would be credited to a repair or replacement - which I haven't found anyone else to offer this). Tech Dean came to my house the next day and found the issue immediately. After being told by the other company that multiple things were wrong, I was extremely GRATEFUL to have Dean be so caring, and understanding and to be willing to find a solution, rather than just tell me to buy a new furnace. I replaced our old oil furnace with a new heat pump system which was a huge and costly project. After doing a lot of research and getting many quotes I went with Danny at envirosmart solution. They were priced on the low end of average, but seemed the most reliable, knowledgeable, and responsive. Brian came in with a helper/trainee - did a deep clean of the multiple vents in my 1927 house and serviced the furnace. They did a great job, we're very thorough (he took the time to review with me how to replace my furnace filter and they vacuumed out a hornet colony (thankfully the nest was dead). Awesome service. We were so impressed with their work and professionalism that we hired them again to clean all of our air ducts and service our furnace! They were professional and efficient, kind and courteous, explained everything they were doing in detail, showed us before and after photos of their work (that was a lot of dust and debris!), and left the house clean and put everything back in order. They were very transparent about the costs (when we scheduled the appointments and again when they arrive to do the work) and asked for permission before adding any other services. I was quoted a price with unlimited vent cleaning. When they showed up, they said that there were 2 vents that weren't included that would be $200 each, in addition to the $474 that they quoted me. I called the office, all they would do is lower the two additional vents to $125 each, I declined. They also said that they give before and after pictures/video. They have yet to do that, even after I called. The work was done with a shop vac and what looked like a chimney sweep. I could have done it myself. The work they performed was worth about $200 in my eyes. I wouldnt use them again. read more
